Do It Again

Your hooves go up, you exhale deeply.

Yet your crib still seems calm, your blanket strewn neatly.

The stallion smiles and giggles a bit.

You hear him say, "Yup, that's my kid."

A few years later, you're five-and-a-half.

You've mastered the art of making others laugh.

Just basic jokes, and the often wise-crack.

It seems to be something for which you have a knack.

One day as you're walking to your new school,

You feel uncomfortable, you feel like a fool.

Suddenly, a young filly walks up to you.

She decides to ask if your new.

Your struck with confusion as to what you should say.

You don't like to talk to strangers every day.

Will you tell her "yes," or just nod and smile?
