Sector 7 was just one of many neighborhoods for anthropomorphic ponies, or "ponymorphs". In an effort to escape punishment at the hands of merciless bullies, Fluttershy blindly rushes into Sector 7, hoping they won't follow.

In the primarily ponymorph community, Fluttershy meets a bedazzling ponymorph named Rainbow Dash. Rainbow offers Fluttershy friendship where it was denied by her human peers. For a long period in her life, Fluttershy finds happiness with Rainbow Dash.

However, human/ponymorph tensions threaten to end the bond she has formed, as riots rage, crowds loot, and society teeters on the brink of civil war.
