Life in Canterlot had never been as exciting as a black maned pony with a treble clef cutie mark thought. Every week was the same. She'd get a job at a social event playing the same songs for the same ponies at the same places. She worked three days a week and her favorite place to be when she wasn't working, was a hole in the wall coffee shop that had the best latte's in Canterlot.
Today being one of her days off, she decided to get up early take a stroll. She makes her ways down the streets of the city and finds the shop next to a small park. As she walks up and looks at the menu sign above, the employee blurts out, "double mocha latte with a hay straw, Ms. Octavia?"
She giggles and says, "Have I really ordered it that many times?" the stallion at the desk nods, "Well today's different so I'll order something else! A double mocha latte with NO straw please." they share a soft chuckle as Octavia leaves bits on the counter as the colt turns around and makes the common order with ease.
As Octavia picks up her drink with a hoof and walks to an empty table. she sits and looks down at her latte in a sort of calm excitement. As she takes her first sip, she looks up at the skies and she sees a black dotted shadow fall over the city sky. She dismissed it as a storm cloud and continued to sip her latte. As she looked back up at the clouds, as she sees what looks like pebbles hitting the floor at a distance, only to realize these were much more than that. They looked like a crossbreed of a pony and some terrible creature from the ever-free forest. She didn't have much time to contemplate on what they were be seeing one with a horn chase an earth pony off a small tower near the road and tackle it at an intersection, followed by it crippling the pony with a eerie green stream of magic.
As Octavia turned around to leave the park, another one of those horned monsters raced around the corner straight at her table. leaving little time to react, Octavia stunned for a few seconds as the monster became ever so close, then pushed down on the table she was sitting at just as the monster reached the opposite side. This motion hit the monster with the table, knocking the air out of it and leaving it momentarily stunned. Using the push back momentum from hitting the monster with the table, she backed away, then kicked the table at the horned creature. It ducked under the volatile piece of furniture and dashed toward Octavia looking for a Fight.
The furious fiend starts throwing punches at Octavia. she gracefully blocks and dodges just as fast as it can attack. Octavia then see an opening in the monsters attack when the monster throws a hoof too far out from its body and grabs the hoof while spinning around to knock the monster completely off balance and using the momentum and weight of the monster to toss it away from her. As it recovers from the unexpected beating, it regains balance and dashes toward Octavia once more. She avoids kicks and swings to face and surprises her assailant a volley of punches to the sternum and neck, she follows up with a swift knee to the ribs and pushes the creature away.
The creatures quickly limps backward and gains stability. Its horn begins to shimmer with the same eerie green glow as earlier. But rather than shoot at Octavia, The monster looks up and shoots the the emerald beam into the sky. Leaving Octavia no time to question why it did that, she is again rushed by the creature. Being just as prepared for round three, Octavia avoids its barrage of punches and spinning kicks. Just as the fiend lands on the floor from its kick, Octavia takes the offensive and kicks the monster in the chest, Pushing it away and leaving it disoriented. She hears a noise from above her and sees another one of these creatures rushing at her from the sky.
This one had wings rather than a horn and was considerably faster. She dodges the creatures kick.As she blocks a few more punches she realities how much faster and agile this one was.she needed to think fast and create some space between them so that she could defeat it. As the creature uses it wings to keep it self in the air and give Octavia a fury of kicks. Octavia sees this as a chance and using the hoofs she was blocking the kicks with she pushed the creature away.
As the creature landed and got back up to his feet, it received a hard buck to the chest. Octavia now seeing her chance to end this she gets behind it in an attempt to choke it out while it elbowed her in the ribs repeatedly. Seeing the creature finally passed out Octavia gets up and starts to run towards an abandoned house to compose herself. "Why is this happening? Why are these things attacking canterlot? Is this happening all over equestria? I hope my parents and Vinyl are ok."

Chapter 2
Ok every pony i need to take a break, so in the meantime enjoy some wubs from my friend...spike!!!! Said a pale yellow mare with a electric blue mane and purple glasses. As she walks toward the bar she notices a pitch black stallion with a red mane at the bar, "Hey Otto what's up. Glad to see you here."the yellow mare said,
"Sup Vinyl. Glad to be here. Wicked set by the way." said Otto enthusiastically,
"So how did your date go with that mare I hooked you up with." said Vinyl with a sly smile.
"Yea about that. You knew she was only into mares didn't you." Otto said slightly disappointed.
"Yeah sorry bout that bro couldn't resist." Vinyl says giggling to herself. Otto looks at the watch on his hoof and frowned,
"I'm sorry vinyl but I have my orders please don't fight back, just go quietly." he readies himself into a fighting stance.
“Otto bro what are you talking about.” Vinyl says looking confused. Otto’s form began to change as a few changelings crashed in through the roof. "Y-you're a changeling. But how...why here." She asked astonished.
"No reason why exactly, I just liked the music. But the invasion has started and my mission is to subdue the ponies of Ponyville and kill those who resist. I am truly sorry, please don't struggle." he asked sincerely.
Vinyl chucked a bottle at him that he dogged, “Yea sure cuz im just gonna let you capture me and take over equestria, you want some cookies with that as well?” Vinyl says sarcastically as she prepares to fight. Otto sighs as he lunges at vinyl and punches her in her ribs. Vinyl returns a punch and connects with Otto's head effectively sending him to back up a few feet.
“fine Vinyl let's get serious then.” Otto said wiping blood off his cheek,
“Oh... So you do have balls. Fine let's do this.” Vinyl runs at Otto delivering a barrage of punches but to no avail as Otto dodges most of them and gives her a swift kick in the leg and gives her an uppercut. Otto uses his wings to kick her in the face but vinyl blocked it leaving Otto off balance as she grabbed him and threw him into the bar.
Vinyl spots spike burning a changeling while protecting the piano as he shouts at them not to damage his instrument. Vinyl chuckles as a bottle comes flying at her but she catches it in her magic, “You gotta do better than that Otto.” she says as she smirks at him,
“No I hoped you would catch it” Otto throws a few more bottles at her and hits her chest and abdomen. Vinyl launches the bottle in her magic back at him that he easily dodges,
“No fair you know I can't use magic very well.” Vinyl says pouting,
“But you can manage to summon that bass cannon of yours right.” he says smartly, “I wonder why you're not using it not scared are you?” Spike threw a record at Otto hitting him on his left arm and cutting him deeply,
“Ha, way to go Spike.” Vinyl says enthusiastically. Otto rips out the record from his arm and brakes it,
“After I kill you vinyl I'm gonna kill that fucking lizard.” he said angrily.
“That's if you can kill me” Vinyl said as she charged Otto and once again threw a barrage of punches and kicks, almost all of them landing this time.Vinyl punched him in the temple as Otto used whatever strength he had left to throw her off him with his magic,
“You bitch...” Otto says coughing up blood as his left arm finally gives way to gravity. Otto looks up at Vinyl to see only a bass cannon,
“Sorry Otto but it's time I ended this.”
Vinyl says as she fires at Otto slowly burning him alive as the wubs produces a hyper sonic beam of blue light eventually disintegrating his body, “Yo Vinyl let's get out of here before more of them arrive.” Spike said as he ran to the door, “I got a place not to far from here we should be safe if we get there.” Vinyl runs after him making their way thru the apocalyptic looking streets with caution as they head in the direction of spikes house,
“Spike thanks for your help back there.” Vinyl said as they started to slow down in front of a building,
“Alright Vinyl get in here quickly I kinda don't want us to be seen not even by ponies.” Spike said as he rushed inside,
“Why not even by ponies spike we should help them not leave them to die.” She said sounding slightly agitated at what he said,
“If some pony sees us then they will draw attention to us also I'll like to keep where I live as secret as possible the last thing I need is rainbow dash to start popping up here.” he smirked as he threw himself on his couch,
“Well if you put it like that….. Wait why don't you want her to check upon you… Was it a bad break up.”
Vinyl said as she locked the door giggling. She looked at spike who had a worried look on his face. “What's wrong spike well beside the changeling and certain doom everywhere.” she then sits next to him on the couch,
“I'm worried for my mare friend I just hope she's ok, I'm pretty shore she is but you know, can't really help but worry.” he said with his head down and a dead tone in his voice,
“Ohhhhh wait you have a mare friend, who is it, is it rarity well tell me does she have a nice ass.” Vinyl said enthusiastically and in Spike's face. Spike groans and pushes Vinyl away from him,
“Fine just don't tell dash ok?” Spike looks at her pleadingly,
“Fine, ok I pinkie promise.” Vinyl says as she motions the pinkie promise.
“It's Spitfire ok.” Spike smiles when he mentions her name,
“Ohhhh shit spike you bad dragon so you nail her yet.” Spike's face turns red from embarrassment.
“That's none of your goddamn business now is it Vinyl.”
Spike says with slight shyness and aggression. “Awww you're no fun... Anyway what you got to eat in this place.” Vinyl gets off the couch and heads to the kitchen,
“Yea, take whatever you want since I know you can't have rubies.” Spike said as he locked the door and widows and closes the blinds, “Vinyl I'm gonna nap wake me if something happens. If you want you can sleep on the couch.” Spike heads to his room as Vinyl chows on his food and after a few minutes gets some rest on the couch as well.
