Rainbow Factory : DOWNFALL
Rainbow Dash flew as quick as she could to the winners area. She looked in confusion however to see no Scootaloo.
"Huh?"
She searched everywhere but no sign. She eventually saw a tall pegasus stallion standing at the end of the cheerful crowd. An idea struck her. She knew that suit.
"Hey, you there!"
"Wha? Oh nice to see you Rainbow! Why you lookin so sad?" He asked her in confusion.
"Where is Scootaloo?' She shouted. "Where is she?"
A very long silence flowed between them. It couldn't be. Dash knew Scootaloo's determination, speed, agility, there was no way she had lost.
"No... is this what I? "
"I'm afraid so. Uh... she could've won but she just had to save her friends, didn't she? Friends more important then being free wherever and whenever you go, being free, I can't belive she chose"
Rainbow's emotions turned into anger. Quickly. Before he could finish,
"Wh... WHAT THE BUCK! SHE DESERVES TO WIN FOR SAVING HER FRIENDS DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND SHITHEAD?! ELEMENTS OF HARMONY, REMEMBER? HOW COULD YOU?! SHE... IT'S YOUR FAULT SHE LOST! SHE DESERVED TO WIN!"
"I..." he replied hesitantly.
" YOU WHAT HUH? YOU'RE SORRY?! WELL BUCK YOU!"
THE stallions mind was racing with words to say. It was hard to listen to rainbow in that way. He muttered,
"Those are the rules... I have to go by them I can't quit this job, I'll lose my money!" He regretted what he said.
"WELL WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT!? BELIVING IN THE RIGHT THING OR LOSING MONEY?! JUST ASK SOMEONE FOR MONEY, ME! I COULD'VE BOUGHT YOU AN APARTMENT WITH ALL MY MONEY! THINK BUCKING TWICE!" Rainbow was losing her rage by now.
"I... I'm so sorry for your friend and... myself."
Rainbow finally realised her anger.
"I'm sorry... I was just so confident in her winning... being the element of loyalty n'all. I can't belive how ponies can think this."
"Me too... so does this mean you'll buy me"
"Uh maybe. Sure. I wouldn't be a good element if I didn't. " rainbow replied sadly.
She sighed, but showed no tears. A question in her head kept popping up though. She finally asked him,
"So... where is she? Is she coming back? "
"I'm sad to say that I don't think so. And no, I don't know where she is, I do hope she and everyone are alright, wherever they are."
"But how do you not know? You work here, right?" Rainbow exclaimed.
"All I know is they are taken to another place."
What am I going to tell her friends? My friends? Everyone? Was just one of many thoughts dash couldn't get off her head. But the truth was just beyond emaginable.
A FEW HOURS LATER...
'But we are you're friends!' Her friends shouted.
'But I have to save equestria!' Blast wave replied.
'So you'd rather save equestria and leave us to die than saving us!? You don't even know you'll make it!'
'Listen! If I do then you ponies would be the hero's! Without you, I would've never saved aquestria!'
'You have a point, do you promise?' A friend of hers asked. The others looked in shock.
'YES! I promise! I will tell every pony!
But... why us...?' One of them asked. The others speechless.
'Because you deserve to be the hero.' Blast sniffed as her eyes kept dropping tears, her red fur and blue mane coated with blood. They just looked at each other for the last time as the machine crushed blasts friends without warning. Their screams and braking bones could be heard as their piled mess of bodies descended into the steaming rainbow vat. Blast barely looked at them lowering her ears. To add to it, aurora's screaming along with rainbows laughs turned blasts feelings from emotion into anger. She then looked at her cutie mark. It was a blast, like her name resembling a sonic rainboom. Somehow she felt the mark would be important now. It would be something worth remembering. She saw rainbow dash flying like light through the vault Scootaloo was escaping into. Bravery and determination us what blast felt now, and with her anger she screamed,
'You... YOU! TODAY IS YOUR LAST DAY FACTORY! MARK MY WORDS!'
After that, she was gone in a blast, only one worker spotted her.
'Hehe. Bad idea, Guys! We have a new leader of the group! Let's go get her!' He shouted at the others, pointing at the vault.
'Oh shit.' Blast thought but then she realised how fast she was going. She didn't realise anything in her way, she was going to do this.
'Quick! I can barely see her! We need to see her to kill her!' The worker in the lead shouted down the vault, everyone else followed. Beeping and sirens where piercing her eardrums, it had been a few minutes, surprisingly, blast wasn't exhausted. And then she saw her, rainbow dash. But she was getting closer, was she flying backwards? Then it hit her. She had stopped. Immediately, blast stopped to get some, or a lot, of air trying best to silence her heavy breathing. She was staring down what looked like a garbage vault.
'Scootaloo... she must be through, please tell me she'
'AHAHAHAHAHAHA!' the voice sent shivers down blast's spine. 'YOU MORON! You have such a bad sense of direction!' Below the vault Scootaloo hovered in shock at the mistake she had made. The suited ponies masks made out a grin at shot tazers at her. Scootaloo's screams indicated it. She had failed.
'No no please no... but that means... it's up to me.' Blast realised. The shouting behind her grew louder and louder
'Don't kill her! Just, just subdue her! I wanna do it! It has to be me!' Scootaloo was unconscious with the electricity striking her, then, rainbow fell into the vault. Blast's instincts kicked in as she darted deeper into the vault ahead.
'GRRRRR! FASTER COME ON WE CAN'T LET HER GET AWAY!' more of them could be heard, that did not stop blast. Not even the steaming pipes or electric wires, she couldn't feel pain through what she had been through. All she did was go straight, she did not trust the other vaults. It had been a few minutes of chasing, but to blast it was like hours.
'NOW! CLOSE THE DOOR SHE'S CLOSE ENOUGH!' A pony shouted into his recorder. Blast gasped that there was an escape, and there she could make out the two doors sideways from each other, beeping as the two walls got closer.
WHAT! CLOSE FASTER! NOW! the doors where about half way apart, blast almost could feel the air.
THAT'S IT! I'M CLOSE ENOUGH NOW!' The pony shouted as he pulled out his tazer, close enough to hit blast.
'AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!' The edge of her fury tail clung to the closed doors, before realising, she kicked the wall fiercely and getting here out. The ponies couldn't belive their evil eyes. Some with rage, some with shock. They just flapped their wings and stared at the closed wall. The last of blasts tears ran out as she flew through the sky fast. Because of the wind however, she thought she was in heaven, dead and a failure like all the others. It was only then she finally opened her eyes. She gasped the loudest she could, instead of relief, the adrenaline was the same, she was so high up, it must've been hundreds of kilometers. Blast could barely make out the houses and grass, all else was clouds. She dared not look back, and with her instincts, she needed to get to the ground, fast. She had never missed it so much in her life. She flew almost the same speed as rainbow before placing her hind and for hooves into a position she could not control. Her stomach couldn't take it anymore, after everything that had happened, she puked a lot into the air. She couldn't take her stomach turning around so hard anymore. After letting it all out, her mind was very num, but she could feel something else apart from the freezing wind. It was like air was forming around her, and even some fire, it was then that the unimaginable happened...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
'you have beautiful eyes...' before rainbows laughter could react, they all heard it.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!'
a long silence broke out. 'WHAT?! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!' Rainbow Dash recognised the sounds instantly. The sonic rainboom. And why exactly now did it happen? Unless... Then a mass of suited ponies ran towards her. Before they could speak..
'NO NO NO! DO NOT TELL ME WHAT I THINK IT IS! HOW MANY TIMES DOES SHE HAVE TO SHOW OFF! UGH! '
'Actually...'
'WHAT?! SO IT WAS... NO. BUCK NO.'
'Overmare... Somepony... escaped...' the pony who spoke regretted his words instantaneously.
'GRRRRR AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! HOW COULD YOU... LET THIS HAPPEN! NOW WHAT?! wait... who did the rainboom!? Her?! Or...
... my .... TWIN SISTER!?
Rainbow Factory : DOWNFALL
"GAH!" Rainbow shouted, yet she kept, that smile. "Everypony! guard all the walls and the entrances, remain alert at all times, now!" without a moment of hesitation, they shouted
"yes overmare!" then saluted heading in every direction.
"as for you..." Scootaloo's heart thumped faster than ever before, she dared not speak. but then the overmare said
"I'll need you..." Scootaloo widened her eyes in shock as she spoke up again "but we wouldn't want you flying off again" scootaloo's heart thumped again, rainbows grin grew wider. "you where right to say I have beautiful eyes..." Her pupils then turned crimson red, glowing a little, the pink now purple eyries' flowed into the red, then the unimaginable happened. Lasers spewed out of her eyes aiming toward scootaloo's wing joints. She gasped as the hot laser touched her wings burning both her feathers and bones in seconds. Screams of bone crunching agony, hysteric laughter and spewing lasers echoed through the hall. Her wings finally came off and buckets of sobs began. Through all of her emotions only one word spilled out. "how...?" rainbow dash grinned the widest grin as if she had accomplished life's greatest achievement. But she had already done that. All she did then was raise her head revealing her chest. On it was something that sent the biggest of shivers down ponies' spines, as of scootaloo had enough already, things kept on going. Her eyes didn't bother to widen, her muscles had stopped a while ago. But her brain knew straight away what was going on. On rainbows neck and chest, a metal, magical object was placed tightly around her. It was the Alicorn Amulet.
Blast was unconscious, the rainboom carried her body up in a beautiful array of lights. Rainbow dash looked in aw at her greatest achievement, not done by her. Then, her instincts kicked in, her element knew what to do. Rainbow flew as fast as she could towards the plummeting young mare. When her eyes where finally open, she saw the most loving of smiles, a proud smile she would never forget. However her memories came back, instead of a loving, caring smile it was replaced by a devilish grin covered with blood. Now, the last thing she felt was fear. A strike of anger hit her. She screamed and hit her, hard, with her hind legs, she flew off as quickly as possible as she finally realized she was not in heaven, this was all real, still going. Blast was a hero, no, her friends where she kept thinking.
"Hey! what the hay was that for!?" She must've been in shock, rainbow dash thought. She couldn't let her go.
"Hey listen! please I saved you! come back I want to help! please!" that. that was the loving voice she remembered. Evil would never... she froze, then dash did.
"kid? are you alright?" Blast finally looked back. those eyes did it. she cried so hard then.
"I'm so sorry! please help me! please!" she then embraced her in a tight hug. She didn't care for crying. Then her brain had had enough. It shut down after a few minutes of gentle sobbing.
"how did? oh. You... You did awesome kid." she smiled into the sleeping mare, she needed hospital attention. now. But she was in for such a giant ride, after all, she had a GIGANTIC story to tell.
