The Canterlot Revolution (Prologue)

The sunlight on the day it all started was very dark and gloomy. Anyone who was with the organisation would easily think that it was foreshadowing. For those who were not on the plan, it was just another day when the pegasi screwed up down at the weather factory. The plan was simple: Storm the Canterlot Prison, obtain some weapons and hopefully the captain of the royal guard. Next, move on towards the barracks of the Royal Guard. Get them on board and then take the castle. That was the optimal plan. But sadly, 2 key components to the plan were missing. The first of which was the inside pony. The second of which was the key to the armoury of the prison which was supposed to be obtained by the inside an who had again, gone AWOL and left the with the prossibility that he spilled the plan to the Royal Guard or the princesses themselves. But they procceded apace. At exactly 12 in the afternoon, the horn was sounded. The snowball had begun to roll and unless the mastermind stopped it, no one would be able to stop it.

When the prison was stormed, the Royal Guard was alerted to it. Their response was swift. They arrived at the prison and began to surround the prison. When they began to attempt to counter-attack the invasion on the prison, they did it very successfully and almost was able to completely get the prison back but only held back by one major hiccup. But sadly, what was on the organisation's side was the both the captain of the royal guard and the Commander-In-Cheif of the Royal Guard, Prince Blueblood. The only twist being that the former was a hostage while the latter was the head of the leader of the coup d'état. Upon seeing who was at the wardens office, the battalion leader stepped forward and asked to use the Announcement Sytem of the prison to make the announcement to the Royal Guards that would doom the whole of Equestria.

"Stand down. The captain and Commander are in the office and we are changing allegiance from serving the princesses to the revolution. Long live the revolution, long live President Blueblood!"

When the guards heard it, they were mixed for two reasons. The first was that they had sworn allegiance to quote "serve and protect the princesses until our dying breath". End quote. The second was that they had also promised loyalty to the battalion leader and to follow all his orders. Some immediately gave up on serving the princesses. The rest were still doubtful on joining the revoloutions side.

The march towards the castle was treacherous. They had to always be mindful that they had a aim to both install Blueblood onto the highest level of govemance meaning that he must not be caught doing anything that would cause a counter-revoloution towards the new goverment and also that there were still some guards marching in the contingent towards the castle that still were against the revoloution.

Once they got into the castle, it did not take long before they managed to storm the castle, neutralising all the ponies they met on the way to they throne room. Then there it was. The corridor that would lead to the throne room. With Blueblood at the front, he very slowly trotted towards the door while remarking at the very neoclassic architecture of the centuries-old castle.

Once he reached the end of the corridor and opened the hundred-ton doors to the throne room he was greeted with a very messy sight. There it was. Hundreds of servants and other aristrocrats, limp, motionless and very much dead. When the prince advanced, he saw that there were spears scattered across the floor. On all of their necks, one could see the blood spilling out of their necks, indicating that they had commited suicide by stabbing themselves in the neck and died while the Kingdom fell into a non-violent anarchy. But weirdly, they could not find the corpses of the former princesses.

On the day that Blueblood abolished the old monarchy and old constitution and replaced the former with a (somewhat) democratic goverment with a universal congress with another one for public forums that would never be used. The latter was replaced with a new constitution that would change how industries and people lived their lives and also entailed the renaming from 'Kingdom Of Equestria' to 'Democratic United Satalite States Republics Of Equestria' or as Blueblood called it 'The DUSSRE'. But on that day, the sun and moon still rose. Not much took notice of it. Well, everyone except Blueblood and half of the newly formed congress.

But not many ponies knew why the former prince wanted revoloution. Well the answer was simple. After the event at the grand-galloping gala, Blueblod felt very much pissed off the the princesses did not take any action against the ponies who had offended him. Well after that, he was very much insulted. He wanted some change and revenge but numerous attempts to bring the 6 to court had failed after the princesses would everytime veto the pre-court proccedings.

So then he decided. If he could not get the top-brass to help him achieve him aim, then he would be the top-brass. Hence thee 10-hour long revolution. But what he did not know was the the sun and moon were watching him somehow every single step of the last 24-hours.
