Due to this, Orange performs pony air shows for a living in towns that are unable to book the wonderbolts and it was at one such festive in Ponyville that he met Rarity. Even though Lavish enjoys the finer things in life she loves helping out her fellow ponies any way she can, preferably singing to sick fillies and colts. when she was a little filly Rarity entered her into doing a talent show she was nerves and really didn't want too but she loved her mother and wanted to do it for her, when it was finally her turn she had to be practically dragged on stage and everypony was staring, she closed her eyes and started her song her voice crackled and was a little off key but as she continued to sing she gained more confidence and felt like she was on top of the world she spread her wings and flew up in the air ending her song on a long strung out note, she opened her eyes too see a shocked crowd they cheered and cried they never knew a little filly could sing like that, she looked out at the crowd to see Rarity and Sky with tears streaming down their faces they were so proud of their little filly, as the show came to a end and the awards got passed out Lavish won the most talented filly award but that wasn't the only thing she won, sky pointed out to her to look at her flank, she had earned her cutie mark.
