Chapters Fluttershy's Charming Brother
Fluttershy was sitting with her animal friends around her small round table at her cottage. They were all enjoying a cup of tea on the lazy warm summer morning. As the yellow Pegasus chatted with her animals, one of her blue birds flew in with a golden envelope in its talons. Fluttershy looked up to see her bird friend with the mail and set her tea down on the table. She then grabbed the envelope from the blue bird and looked at the mail in confusion.
“Wow, a golden envelope. Why, or who in Equestria would send such a tacky letter?” Fluttershy question as she opened the mail. She was soon hit with a sweet smell coming from inside. She recognized the scent from somewhere before. It was “La Alicorn Love #5" a fragrance that Princess Cadence often wore. She then pulled the paper out of the envelope and unfolded the letter. She began to read the letter. After a minute her face turned to horror as she gasped in fright. “ Oh no! My parents and brother are coming to town because they have big news!” She said in a panic.
Her animal friends all looked confused as to why Fluttershy was in such a panic about the news. One of her ferrets stood up from its seat and chirped as if to ask her a question. Fluttershy soon sighed as she looked at her small friend. “Well... you see, my parents are coming to see me and.. Well, um, they are going to judge me so harshly.” She said with a sad tone.
Her bear growled in confusion as he scratched his head. The yellow Pegasus lowered her own head with a sad face. “Well, they don’t really know what I do for a living. In fact, they have been too busy to give me a post card or anything ever since I came here to live. In fact, this is the first time they have contacted me.” She said. “And, if they new what I did for a living, they would think I was only a failure.”
Harry the bear came and patted her on the back to comforted her. The sad Pegasus looked up at her friend and smiled. “Thanks, I just wished I knew what to do.” She pondered.
Suddenly, Angel Bunny started to make his rabbit noises and do some charades. Fluttershy looked at the bunny and started to smile. “You think that would be a good idea? I mean, I don’t wanna be a burden to anypony.” she replied to the bunny.
Angel Bunny face palmed and stomped his foot on the table rapidly. Fluttershy sighed a bit as she agreed to what the impatient bunny suggested. “Oh ok, I’ll ask then”
Fluttershy knocked on Twilight’s castle door. After waiting for a minute, Spike soon opened up the door and greeted the Pegasus. “Oh, hi Fluttershy, what’s up?” The dragon asked.
“Oh, hi Spike, is Twilight home?” Fluttershy question. “I need to ask for a favor.. If that is ok with her? I mean, I don’t want to burden her if she is busy?”
“Oh yeah, she’s in the throne room.” Spike replied, offering her to come in.
Fluttershy walked in and headed towards the throne room, with Spike walking by her side. “So, what’s the favor?” Spike asked with curiosity.
“Oh, well, you see, I was wanting to ask her if she could help me with a family problem.” She replied.
“A family problem?” Spike commented. “Well, I am sure Twilight can help you.”
The two finally reached the throne room door and opened it. She found Twilight sitting on her throne and reading one of her many books. “Um, Twilight?” Fluttershy spoke.
Twilight looked up from her book and smiled as she saw her friend. “Oh, hi Fluttershy. How are you?” Twilight asked, as she placed the book down.
Fluttershy walked to her throne and took her seat. The yellow Pegasus looked at Twilight with a worried look. “Well, you see...my brother and parents are coming to see me.” Fluttershy said, as her face became a frown. “So, I was hoping you could help me?”
Twilight looked a bit confused as to why her friend looked worried. “Yeah, anything Fluttershy, but what why do you look so worried?” She asked.
“Yeah, do you have a nice relationship with your parents?” Spike added.
“Well, no.” Fluttershy pouted in response. “You see, my parents have always been so busy. As a filly, they never once spend any time with me or my brother. And to top it all off, as soon as my little brother got his Cutie Mark, my dad took him to advance his talents and dropped me off at Flight School in hopes I would make something of myself.” She ended with a tear rolling down her cheek.
Twilight saw the sadness in her friends eyes. “Hey, but look at you now?” Twilight responded, trying to cheer her up. “You have your own place, you help woodland animals, and to top it all off, you’re an element of harmony.” She said with a smile, hoping to lift up her friend’s spirit.
Fluttershy sighed but smiled weakly. “Thanks, and I know I have done so much, but you see.. my brother is the.. um golden foal of the family.” She said. “And I’m the... well not trying to be raciest, but the sheep that doesn’t have white wool.”
“Well, what is your brother like?” Twilight question.
“Um.. Well he is the opposite of me.” Fluttershy responded.
Spike gasped. “You mean, your brother is like Maud Pie?” He asked with concern.
“No, Spike.” Twilight chuckled. “Maud is the opposite of Pinkie.” She corrected. “The opposite of Fluttershy would be..” She stopped as she feared for what Fluttershy’s brother is like. “Your brother is like Pinkie?” The alicorn princess gulped as she was worried about two Pinkies being in the same town.
“Oh no no.” Fluttershy replied. “He is just a really successful pony and out going.”
“Oh that’s all?” Twilight said. “Well, what do you want us to do?”
“Yeah, How do you want us to help?” Spike added
Fluttershy soon remembered what she wanted to ask. “Oh, well, I was hoping maybe, if you want to. I mean no pressure and you can’t or don’t want to, you can just say no. But can you please make a welcome dinner for me, and perhaps help tell my parents.. That I’m not a failure?” Fluttershy asked meekly, while fiddling her hooves.
Twilight perked up. “Sure, how about we have all our friends for the dinner? That way we can all help tell your parents, just how successful you are.” Twilight added.
“Well, sure, that would be great.” Fluttershy replied, with a smile.
“Yeah, it’ll be great Fluttershy.” Spike commented with a smile. “The dinner will be so great, your parents will think you are way better then they expected.”
Meanwhile, the following evening, the mane six were all sitting around the huge table ready for the dinner. Each pony was sitting at their respective seat, with three seats ready for Fluttershy’s parents to come. However, Fluttershy was looking anxious as ever as the time crept closer to it being time for her friends to meet her family. Fluttershy was worried about what her parents would think of not only her, but her friends as well.
Rainbow Dash saw her friend sitting beside her, trembling like a leaf. She patted her on the back, trying to cheer her up. “Hey, don’t worry about it. We’re here for you.” She reassured.
“That’s right Sugar cube, you ain’t got nuttin ta worry bout.” Applejack said, sitting beside her. “Their yer family, and family always loves and cares fur their kin.”
“Yeah, Applejack is right.” Pinkie added, as she bounced in her seat. “And besides, I have a ton of stories to tell your mom and dad. Like the time you made a ferocious, powerful, blood thirsty, dragon cry like a baby. Oh, and that time you stared down that Cockatrice in the forest.” She said with much enthusiasm.
“Yes darling, you have nothing to worry about.” Rarity said looking at her reflection in a spoon. “We have your back.”
“That’s right Fluttershy.” Twilights said. “You have five great friends who will help you the best way we can. And I am positive, by the end of the night, your parents will think you are very successful.” She ended.
“Oh... I hope so.” Fluttershy replied. “Thank you girls, really it means a lot to me that you are here and willing to help me.” She said with a smile.
They all replied with a welcome and smiled.
Suddenly, the doors opened, and Spike came through with three Pegasus behind him. The whole room fell silent as the three entered the room, with the dragon infront of them. “Oh..my” Flutershy murmured.
Fluttershy's Charming Brother
The three Pegasus followed the small dragon into the dinning room where they were expected. Twilight and her friends got up from their chairs and walked to greet them. "Welcome, I am Princess Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of friendship." She said, bowing in respect. "This is Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and you already know Fluttershy and met Spike." The princess added as she pointed at each of her friends.
The three Pegasus also bowed their heads in respect. As they looked back up, The bigger Pegasus, who stood in the middle looked up at Fluttershy with a stern look. The yellow Pegasus whimpered as she looked down. The big Pegasus was just about to introduce himself until. "Hi big sis." Said a bright orange pony with silky white wavy mane, and a huge smile, not just on his face, but he also had a smile as a cutie mark with a sparkle on the side of the smile.
Fluttershy soon perked up as she saw her little brother standing beside her father and smiled back. "oh, hi Cloud Charmer." She responded.
"Cloud Charmer?" Rarity said out loud, with a confused expression on her face. "Wait a minute." She soon perked up as she realize just who he was. " Are you by chance, THE Cloud Charmer? As in Cloud's Mattresses, were ever mattress is as soft and divine as a cloud?" She asked with a smile on her face.
Cloud Charmer smiled as he looked at Rarity. "Why, yes ma'am. I am Cloud Charmer, the owner of over a hundred Mattress shops world wide."
Rarity gasped with glee. "I simply LOVE your mattresses. Its just like sleeping on a real cloud." Rarity complemented as she gave the good looking Pegasus a flirtatious stare. Spike saw this and sighed in annoyance.
Before Cloud Charmer could say anything back, he was interrupted by the large golden Pegasus with dark brown mane that was combed back. He sported a chin that would make Mr. Cake proud, and lastly his cutie mark was a huge light blue lighting bolt. He cleared his throat before speaking. "Hello, Princess Twilight. it is an honor to meet you." He said with a thundering voice. "My name is Thunder Ruffle, The president of the Las Pegasus's weather factory "
"It is an honor to meet you sir." Twilight replied back, taking a shock at just out loud he was.
Rainbow Dash gasp as she heard where he worked. "Oh my Gosh, Fluttershy's dad is the PRESIDENT of the weather factory of Las Pegasus?" Rainbow asked. "I heard that Las Pegasus's weather is the best." She commented.
Thunder Ruffle looked at her with a face of anger. He felt insulted by the word. "Best? The "best" only get a third place trophy. WE are the GREATEST weather factory in the world." He said with intimidation in his voice. Rainbow Dash felt a chill down her spine. Never before has a pony intimidated her ever before like this. Not even Spit Fire made her feel this way during training. "Las Pegasus is THE Greatest. If Manehatten's weather factory does ten inches of rain, we do FIFTEEN INCHES. If Appleloosa has two tornadoes, we have FIVE TORNADOES and at the end, they will collide into each other, because WE ARE NUMBER ONE!" He boomed, as he stomped his hoof on the ground and snorted.
Both Fluttershy and Charmer trembled, along with the rest of the mane six at the sound of Thunder's voice. However, the cotton candy blue mare, with straight cotton candy pink mane and a black cloud cutie mark stood there, beside him, just shaking her head with a tear rolling down her face.. "well, um yes, well who are the rest of your family?." Twilight said nervously.
Thunder calmed down and let out a heavy sigh. "Sorry Princess, my deepest apologies." He said with a bow. He lift his head back up and turned his face toward Cloud Charmer. "You already know my GOLDEN foal, Cloud Charmer. He is the BEST mattress salespony in THE world. Nopony can match him." He said boastfully. He then turned his face toward the mare beside him "And this is MY WONDERFUL and MOST beautiful wife in the world, Gloomy Skies, equestria's number ONE physiologist."
The cotton candy blue mare took out a Kleenex and wiped the tear away from her eyes. "Hello, it is a pleasure *sniff* meeting you all' She commented.
"Gloomy Skies?" Applejack said in confusion. "Hey, aren't you that fancy head shrink that has all them books?" She asked.
"Yes I'm that *sniff* Gloomy Skies." She said with a few more tears flowing down her face.
Rarity looked at Applejack in wonder. "Applejack? how do you know about Gloomy Skies?" She question.
Applejack smiled weakly and scratched the back of her head. "Well.. when yer sister is going to the dentist, um, ya git bored real easily just waiting for an hour." she commented
"*snidd* sorry, you had to wait for the dentist fo so long, that you were force to read my book." Gloomy Skies said wit a few more tears rolling down her face
"APPLEJACK, you made our guest cry." Rarity scolded.
"Oh, gee, I'm might sorry ma'am The book was good honest." Applejack responded, feeling bad for what she had done.
Gloomy blew her nose before looking back at Applejack. "Oh, don't worry, it wasn't you *sniff*" She reassured. "Its just, I feel so much pain. I have a six sense, I can feel deep pain within you and the white unicorn over there."
Both Applejack and Rarity looked at one another. "What ever do you mean darling?" Rarity asked. "I am happy with my life."
"Yeah, same here." Applejack added. "I'm as happy as a hog in fresh mud."
"Would you *sniff* care if I prove you wrong?" Gloomy Skies asked.
Both RArity and Applejack looked at each other again and then back at Gloomy Skies, and agreed to it. Gloomy walked toward the two and looked into their eyes. After a few second eveypony watched her. Suddenly, Gloomy's eyes watered even more. Tears fell down the mares face, as she hugged both ponies. "You keep working hard, because you feel its not good enough and your parents aren't proud of you." She said toward Applejack. "But they are, they will always love you sugarcube." As she said this, Applejack began to cry and hug her back. She then turned her attention to Rarity. "You feel the need to make all these beautiful dresses, because you were eased as a filly for being ugly. However, you are beautiful, from the inside and out." She commented. Rarity to teared up and hugged Gloomy. Both ponies thanked her as she let go. She asked if they both were ok, in which they nodded.
Twilight and the rest of her friends were amazed at just how good Gloomy Skies was. However, it was time for dinner to be served, so she asked Spike to go get the food. As they took their seats at the table, Thunder Ruffle was looking sternly at Fluttershy. The yellow Pegasus saw him and started to sink in her chair Cloud Charmer and the rest of the mane six noticed. “So, how are you doing Fluttershy?” Cloud Charmer asked, trying to lighten the mood.
Fluttershy looked at him with a smile and perked up a bit, despite being starred at by her huge intimating father. “Oh, I’m doing fine how about you Cloud Charmer?” She asked.
However, before Cloud could get a word out, he was yet again interrupted by his father. “Tell me daughter, what do you do for a living and how well is the pay?” Thunder demanded, without any hesitation. “I assume you have a good job, just like your brother?”
However, Fluttershy couldn’t answer him due to how scared she was, just by his voice alone. She couldn’t understand why. She wanted to tell him that she was a care giver of cute animals, but the words just didn’t come out. However, Fluttershy didn’t have to say a word, for Pinkie Pie jumped from above her chair and stood on it, while defying the laws of physics. “Oh, Fluttershy here is Ponyville’s very own, number one animal care giver. She takes care of all the animals that come to see her.” Pinkie Pie said with a smile.
“Wow, that’s great Fluttershy.” Cloud Charmer commented with his very own smile.
“*sniff* its so sad that the animals get sick or hurt.” Gloomy Skies added. “But at least they have you to take care of them sweetie, I’m so *sniff* proud.” She says as tears of joy flowed down her eyes.
However, Thunder Ruffle cleared his throat and looked at Fluttershy with the same stern look. She started to sink in her chair even lower. “What Charmer and Skies meant to say was. How is the pay?”
Pinkie put her face in front of Fluttershy and giggled. “Pay? Pfft, she does it all for free. She lives off the land. Besides helping her animal friends is more important then the bits.” Pinkie said as she jumped back to her seat.
Fluttershy wanted to smile, but she couldn’t. Her father was still staring at her with disappointment in his eyes. “Hmm, So, you are a free loader?” He asked.
Rainbow Dash was about to say something, but was interrupted by Applejack who looked rather annoyed by his comment towards his own daughter. “Now wait here sir, no disrespect, but this here is yer daughter. Aren’t ya spose ta love her regardless of what she is?” She questioned.
"I will be PROUD, if she did something worth while.” Thunder Ruffle commented.
Rainbow slammed her hoof on the table with a ticked off look on her face. She just couldn’t stand anyone, regardless if it was a family member, putting her friends down. “YEAH, well Fluttershy here help me and the rest of the Ponyville Pegasus get water to Clouds Dale in order for it to rain for equestria. Also, she made a dragon cry like a newborn filly to save Ponyville from a haze of smoke, how is that for worth while?” Rainbow asked.
“That is impressive Fluttershy.” Cloud Charmer commented.
Gloomy Skies’s tears flowed down even harder. “I am so proud of you Fluttershy, you saved Ponyville from a nasty dragon”
Thunder looked at her and snorted. “If memory serves, you made the LOWEST time in Equestria in bringing Clouds Dale water. While Las Pegasus made NUMBER ONE. On top of that, dragons act like they are tough and high mighty, but a dragon sneeze tree will have even the brain DEAD dragon lord packing. “ He snorted as he finished.
Rainbow Dash was annoyed by the lack of respect he was giving Fluttershy. Applejack felt the same way. Both ponies looks upset over how cruel he was. Fluttershy on the other hand just wished she could disappear. Rarity looked at her poor friend with sweat coming from her forehead. She cleared her throat. "Well... dear Fluttershy here, uh.. was a model for Photofinish...temporally" She said with a weak grin.
Thunder raised an eye brow. "Temporally? hmm... why you stop? You could have been famous and had tons of bits." Thunder Ruffle pushed.
Yet again, the yellow timid Pegasus couldn't even make a peep. Her brother looked at her with sympathy, but dared not stick up for her against their own father. Bother Rainbow and Applejack bit their tongues hard, for the only reason they didn't chew him out, was because it wasn't their place in a family matter. The same went for Rarity, Twilight, and Pinkie. All Gloomy Skies did was sit there with her eyes closed, letting the tears flow down her face. She knew what to do, but the time was not yet ready.
Luckily, Spike came in with the dinner and started to serve everyone. Gloomy opened her eyes and saw how happy he was giving everypony their plates from the cart. As the Dragon served Twilight, she notice something interesting. She could feel the sadness, deep down in his very own heart. As Spike came toward her with her plate, she looked at him with sadness in her eyes. "She is grateful you know?" She asked.
Spike placed her plate down in front of her and looked at the Pegasus with a confused look. "Huh? What do you mean?" He asked.
"You help Twilight, not only because you enjoy cleaning, but deep down for feel that you owe her a life debt, due to you think that your parents abandon you and Twilight might do the same. But er love for you will never end"
Twilight looked at Spike with a look of sorrow. "Spike, I told you, I will never abandon you. Your my number one assistant and best friend." She comforted. "You will always have a place in my heart, no matter what, I promise." Twilight reassured.
Spike's eyes filled with tears as he went to Twilight, giving her a tight hug. "I know, its just, I am so grateful for all you've done for me Twilight."
"Its ok Spike." Twilight patted her friend's head in comfort.
Spike let go and wiped his tears away before thanking Twilight. He took his seat and everyone started to eat. However, nopony said a word, and the tension in the air was thick. Twilight, felt the need to break the awkward silence. "So, Cloud Charmer, Fluttershy says you had some BIG news?" She asked
Cloud Charmer looked up and swallowed his food. The Pegasus smile with delight. "Yes ma'am, I, Cloud Charmer, have sold, and made trade to the yak prince of Yakastan."
Twilight and everyone congratulated him in amazement. As Cloud Charmer thanked them, Thunder took a sip of his cider and placed it on the table, He soon smiled with pride for his son. "Yes, MY golden foal has made me and my wife more proud then any other pony ever." He boasted. "He did what no pony has ever done, make a sale to the Yaks." He added, while patting his son on the shoulder.
"Thanks dad..." Cloud Charmer said, feeling rather uneasy with the bragging.
Thunder Ruffle soon turned his attention to Fluttershy. "Yes, see daughter, Cloud Charmer made something of himself." He commented.
"Dad, wait." Cloud tried to stop his dad before he said something he could never take back.
Thunder Ruffle ignored him. "How come you can't be like him?" he asked. "or do you like being a failure?"
The room fell dead silent. As The words failure hit Fluttershy with a force of a Minotaur. Tears soon filled the yellow Pegasus's eyes. He heart slowed down as her world shattered.
"Flutters, he didn't-"Cloud Charmer wasn't able to finish his sentence. Fluttershy flew off in tears. Both Rainbow and Applejack wanted to rip him a new one, but they ran after their crying friend instead. They were followed by everyone else, including Cloud Charmer. Thunder Ruffle just sat there as if he did nothing wrong. Gloomy Skies looked at him with a tear rolling down her eye. He turned to see his wife looking at him with sadness in her eyes.
"What? It was the truth." He said, with not regret for what he done.

Fluttershy's Charming Brother
Fluttershy flew out of Twilight's castle with tears streaming down her face. She was just out of the castle, until Rainbow Dash flew in front of her and grabbed he sobbing friend in her arms. "Fluttershy its ok, your not a failure." The rainbow Pegasus comforted. However, Fluttershy just cried on her shoulder. She then looked back at Rainbow with tears still streaming down her face.
"Ye-ye-yes I AAM. He's right Rainbow. I am a failure." She cried even harder.
"NO YOUR NOT!" Shouted Twilight, who was running toward her, along with the rest of her friends. They soon caught up with her, and gathered around her. "Twilight, he has no idea what he is talking about." She comforted.
"That's right sugar cube. You got a lot to be happy fur. You even redeemed Discord." Applejack added. "nopony could to that."
"Wow, you even redeemed the master of chaos himself?" Cloud Charmer asked, as she flew toward his crying sister. "That is incredible." he commented as he smiled.
Fluttershy looked at her little brother with a smile. Rainbow released her from the hug, as Fluttershy wiped the tears away from her eyes. "Thanks, I just wish, dad would think that."
"Yeah..." Cloud Charmer said with a frown, while looking down. He soon looked back up to his sister with sympathy, before turing his attention to the princess. "Hey, um.. is it ok with you Princess, if I talk to my sis alone?" He asked.
"Sure, if you like, there is a nice restaurant right around the corner there." Twilight responded.
"Thanks." Cloud Charmer thanked, before looking at Fluttershy. "Fluttershy, can we go eat please?"
Fluttershy agreed to it and walked with her brother towards the small restaurant As they left, Twilight and the others went back into the castle. As the two Pegasus walked, there was a moment of awkward silence. Cloud Charmer looked at his sister, who was looking at the ground with a sad face. "Hey, you got a nice town here." He commented, hoping to lighten the mood.
Fluttershy didn't move her head and just thanked him. Cloud Charmer did not want to give up on trying to cheer her up. "Hey.. he is proud of you." He said. "He just... doesn't know how to say it."
Fluttershy lifted her head and looked at her brother. "Well, I wish he would just say it." She commented. "I don't care much for fame and fortune, and am happy just being a care giver for animals."
"But, your so much more." Cloud Charmer commented. Feeling a bit taken back at just how casual Fluttershy was. "You, made friends with Discord, made a dragon cry, and saved ponyville more time then none. Your more then just a animal care giver, your a hero."
Fluttershy blushed at the complement. "Well, thanks, I guess I am.. but I don't see myself as a hero." She said, smiling just a bit.
Cloud Charmer smiled. "Hey, um, can you tell me about the times you saved the world with your friends and stuff?" He asked. "I would love to hear about it."
Fluttershy looked at him with a confuse look. She didn't really love bragging, but she figured that telling her brother about the times she and her friends brought harmony to Equestria wasn't truly braggin."Ok, there was the time Twilight first came to Ponyville, and-"
Meanwhile, Twilight and her friends made it back into the dining room. Where Thunder Ruffle was eating and acting as if nothing was wrong. Both Rainbow and Applejack filled with rage at just how neglectful her father was and how cruel. "Excuse me sir, but how can you just leave yer kin runnin off cryin, and just sit their stuffing yer face like a pig?" Applejack demanded, without feeling any need to being nice at their guest.
"Yeah, your "failure" daughter, helped save Ponyville, and Equestria. Plus, made the spirit of chaos into her best friend, along with helping free an entire town from a communist." Rainbow barked.
"Yeah, your being really mean to your daughter Mr. Fluttershy's dad." Pinkie added
Thunder Ruffle put his glass of cider down on the table and glared at both Applejack and Rainbow Dash. "First off, how DARE YOU, disrespect me with that tone of voice. I am a PRESIDENT of a HUGE BUSINESS and there for, I DESERVE RESPECT-" Thunder was soon cut off.
"Cut the horse apples dear. *sniff* You are beaming with pride on the inside, but you are to far *sniff* in a sad delusion to see she is successful." Gloomy commented, as she wiped tears away from her face.
"I only want her to BE HAPPY!" Thunder boomed.
Gloomy blew her nose and grabbed a new tissue to wipe the new tears away. "*sniff* sorry dear, but happiness is subjective. What you think is happy, is not what she nor anyone thinks is happiness."
Twilight and the rest of her friends just looked at each other, not wanting to get into the conversation. "You sat here and *sniff* listened to just how much Fluttershy has done. She is happy with herself, and all she has achieved." Gloomy added. "You are just holding your emotions inside, because you are afraid of something." She said, blowing her nose again. "Sorry, but you must let it out. or else, it will hurt you more in the long run?" She finished.
"I don't have anything to say." Thunder replied.
"Fine." Gloomy skies took a sip of her cider and placed it down on the table. A tear fell down from her eye. ""Sorry, but if you don't let it out, I will be force to tell them the embarrassing date." She threatened.
"You wouldn't?" Thunder remarked.
Gloomy Skies looked at Twilight and her friends. "You see, *sniff* my husband was obsessed with the Stags-"
"Ok, I'll let it out" Thunder interrupted.
Rainbow Dash covered her mouth. fighting back the laughter. She knew about the Stags, because her own dad loved them back in the day. She still remembered her dad singing "Yellow Cloud" all day.
Both Cloud Charmer and Fluttershy were sitting outside of the Ponyville fancy restaurant, eating a sunflower sandwich. Cloud Charmer was looking at his sister in pure amazement as she was talking on about her adventures. "And that is when Twilight decided to allow Starlight glimmer in as apart of our friends." Fluttershy said as she took a sip of tea from her glass. "Right now, Starlight is gone off on a friend quest with Zecora."
Cloud Charmer swallowed his food as he sat there with a face of pure amazement. "Wow.. Fluttershy, your life and everything about it, is pure amazing." He commented. "Your on all these adventures, with these cool friends, and I.. I'm just a Mattress salespony, with two friends." Cloud Charmer's expression soon turned into disappointment. "To be honest.. I'm jealous."
Fluttershy looked at her little bother confused. "But why? You have tons of stores world wide and are successful." She commented. "On top of that, your the favorite." She said with a frown.
Cloud Charmer looked at her with sympathy. "Hey, but your friends are way cooler, plus you get to go on adventures with yours. I'm just stuck in a stupid office all day making sure I am up to dad's standards."
"And I'm sorry about that." Said Thunder Ruffle, who was walking towards them. Gloomy Skies followed beside him. "Dad? Why are you here?" Cloud Charmer question.
Fluttershy started to sink in her seat as she saw him walking towards them. Thunder Ruffle saw this and closed his eyes before letting out a heavy sigh. "Fluttershy, I'm sorry for my attitude. I wanted you to be successful, but I was a fool to not see that you really are. Heck, you even surpassed me and your brother ten fold."
Fluttershy's fear started to go away and she began to perk up a bit. "But.. why are you always looking down on me?"
Thunder walked to Fluttershy and look at her with a face of sorrow. "Because I was afraid."
"Afraid?" Cloud Charmer questioned.
"Yeah, you see.." Thunder Ruffle let out a small sigh before he started his story.
"When I was just a small filly, we were the poorest family in Las Pegasus. Mom just sat around doing nothing all day, while dad just slept all day. The fillies in school would make fun of me for being so poor. All my folks did was goof off. They had no jobs and mooched off the system. I hated every minute of it, and I sworn to never be like them. So, When I found my special talent to intimidate others, I used it to get up to become school president, and later I used it to move up in the Las Pegasus weather factory. I only wanted you to be happy and successful. Also, I wanted you to be able to provide for you family, if you ever decided to start oe. I didn't want you, or your family to suffer what I had."
Both Cloud Charmer and Fluttershy look at him with confused looks and a bit of sympathy. "But dad, Me-maw, and paw-paw were happy though. And besides, Fluttershy is happy with being just a simple animal care giver." He said. "If she can take care and be loving to them, I am sure she would be a wonderful mother."
Fluttershy blushed as he complimented on her being a good mother. She then turned her attention to her dad. "Also, I am doing fine, beside, I have five friends who would be more then happy to help me raise a foal, plus I have Discord."
Thunder Ruffle soon smiled and hugged his daughter. "I know princess, and I'm proud of you." Fluttershy, soon teared up and hugged him back. They both were joined by Gloomy Skies and Cloud Charmer. After a few seconds Thunder Ruffle released her from the warm hug and smile at her. She smile back with a tears rolling down her cheek. "Know, about this Discord fellow?"
