Today we are celebrating The Sixth Summer Moon Celebration. The celebration of Princess Nightmare Moon's victory over our old leader, Princess Celestia. It was once the Summer Sun Celebration celebrating Celestia's victory over Nightmare Moon. Now the roles have been reversed between the two. It was started almost a year after Princess Nightmare Moon's take over. As Captain Of The Nightmare Guard, I am attending the ceremony.
It's very ironic. I'm the most trusted pony of the princess, when I loathed her at first. When the princess took over Equestria, I wanted her to be gone and even wanted to be in a rebellion. Then the first rebellion. I think it's name was "Solar Citizens"? I don't know, but that whole fiasco was like seven years ago.
Anyways, they rebelled fairly early in the princess's rule. They were caught and later tortured and beaten to near death. They were sentenced to death during the trial. I was ordered to go to the execution like everypony else in Equestria and that event scarred me for life. I had to go to many more executions as there were many failed rebellions.
Some were killed by burning at the stake or being eaten alive by starved timberwolves. I then realized soon that this was the new reign of Equestria and I was then forced to recruit into the guard. I then had to pledge my loyalty to Her Highness, Princess Nightmare Moon.
Many of my old friends from Ponyville also joined the guard and the staff. Such as my childhood friends, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity. My other friends, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkamena came like a week after I came to work for our then new leader, Princess Nightmare Moon.
I was there when Princess Nightmare Moon came back and took over. It was the Thousandth Summer Sun Celebration being held at Ponyville. I almost attacked her, but I was stopped by Applejack, which was not a good idea. Then we never saw Princess Celestia again. Now her name is forbidden to be spoken even if you're a foal and you say Princess Celestia you'll be sent to The Hole. It's called an concentration camp, but it's really just a death camp. It's a fate worse than execution and you're put into hard labor, physical and mentally tortured, and basically starved. It's very unlikely anypony will survive The Hole. I was a guard there once and it is the most heart wrenching thing I have ever seen.
Even though I pledged my forever loyalty to Princess Nightmare Moon, I will admit she's a tyrant and a dictator. It's a fact even I know and Nightmare Moon trusts me the most. But Equestria is not in chaos, destruction, or anything like that. She keeps Equestria going and safe.
I really miss the sun, I do. It's strange for the captain to say that, but it's true. I miss flying dangerously fast in the bright day sky. I miss snoozing in the bright sun on a soft fluffy white cloud. There is just darkness. Everywhere is just...darkness. I did love the night, I did, but I love the day too. That might be confusing to some ponies as I am the Princess's most loyal and trusted pony ever. But I am a pony and I have forgotten how the sun looks, how sunshine feels on your fur, and to be actually hot and sweaty. It's been years.
Every night I look up to the moon, the prison of our old leader Princess Celestia. I wonder "how? With all the foes you defeated in your thousand year reign, alone. You fall to your own younger sister who you defeated at first. How...and why?
Even though Princess Nightmare Moon did her best to cover up her past Twilight found it out. Turns out that story The Legend Of The Two Sisters was true. Of course I didn't snitch Twilight out. And my other friends didn't do that either, thank Faust. Who knows what would happen to her.
Enough of all that. I was completely in shock when I became the new leader of the guard. I was a great friend of Emperor Shining Armor Sparkle. When Nightmare Moon killed King Sombra she tasked Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and her husband, Shining Armor of ruling The Crystal Empire. He had to step down as captain to oversee his new duties as a leader of a country. Out well it's kind of a country it's on Equestria's borders, but is more like a city-state. Getting off track now, out of all the ponies to be the new guard he chose me. Yes I was a great friend to him, friends with his sister, and the first lieutenant. But I never thought I would hold the most powerful military position.
Heh. Faust, look at me now. I was a completely different mare seven years ago. Sometimes I look back before Nightmare Moon and think about my old self. I was much more immature, cocky, and arrogant. And I was longing to be a member of The Wonderbolts. Ahhhh, those were the days... Anyway, now I have the highest ranking military position, the godmother of Princess Flurry Heart, and the fastest pegasus in Equestria. Not trying to brag, but it's true.
But like everypony else I have one big fear. Princess Nightmare Moon. She's merciless and a ruthless tyrant who will do anything to get what she wants. Recently there was a time traveling alicorn and a baby dragon. Unfortunately they escaped Princess Nightmare Moon. She was outraged and took it out on my soldiers and I. She put us through the torture spell which made your joints dislocate, repeatedly. It was so painful. But it could've been a lot worse. I'm grateful she didn't do worse, because she could of.
Recently Princess Nightmare Moon has been planning to take over the world. She would be the supreme ruler of everything! But I can't stop her. Nopony can. Those who do will be killed. Guess every living thing will call her Supreme Ruler Nightmare Moon soon.
After seeing so much murder and being forced to take part in horrible atrocities, I still keep happy. Why? Because I don't want to live my life as great pony and not a loser. Because I hate losing.

The day is over...finally
Ah’ve been spending all of my time in a room jus plannin and workin on new war machines and weapons for Princess Nightmare Moon’s Nightmare Guard.
Ah...ah jus want to go home. Ah’m homesick. Haven't been this homesick since ah was a filly. But if ah disobey the Princess well…ah won't live to see my twenty-fifth birthday.
Ah was jus some simple apple farmer perfectly fine with life. And mah ma and pa had died, right after Apple Bloom was born, from a Timberwolves attack. Ah was distraught and left the farm to go to Manehattan to live with Aunt and Uncle Orange because...bad memories. Ah then realized the sophisticated life wasn't for me and went back to the farm.
On the day Princess Nightmare Moon took over ah was in charge of food preparations for The Summer Sun Celebration. Then she came and imprisoned our old ruler, Princess Celestia in the moon.
Ah wanted her gone as soon as possible but when the first rebellion happened ah couldn't bear to have mah family suffer. Then ah was forced to work for the Princess. Ah had no choice ah said goodbye to my family and went off. Princess Nightmare Moon recognized my knowledge and I worked in Nightmare Moon’s Weapons Division and ah’m now the head of the division. Even though ah got my cutiemak as an apple farmer ah'm pretty good at weapons planning and creation. But bein an apple farmer is what makes me happy.
Even though ah have a high ranking in Nightmare Moon’s staff ah'm not happy. Ah hardly see mah family at all. Ah love mah family with all mah heart. Ah now only see then a few times per year! Ah keep in touch with them through letters but guess ah have to miss another Apple Family Reunion...again.
Things aren't so bad. Ah have six friends and have the trust of Her Highness, Nightmare Moon. Mah six friends all work for Nightmare Moon. Rarity is the personal hoof maiden of the princess, Rainbow bein the Captain of The Nightmare Guard, even though she only has been Captain for a few years ah think she's doin good, ah'm the head of Nightmare Moon's Weapons Division, Fluttershy being the castle gardener, Pinkamena being the second lieutenant of the guard, Twi bein the head of Nightmare Moon's Science and Magic Division, and then there's our new friend Starlight who is a new employee of Twilight who works as a scientist. Her and her husband, Sunburst once lived in The Crystal Empire but Starlight was forced to be a scientist for Nightmare Moon. And y’all don't want to disobey Princess Nightmare Moon!
But now ah’ve been working all night, we don't say day anymore since there is no day. But now the Apple Family including Sweet Apple Acres has become a company of Apple products. Whenever ah go home ah feel...out of place because it's so different.
Ah’ve learned why Princess Nightmare Moon has been upping up the weapons she wants to take over the entire world. That...that's jus crazy! Our princess being the supreme ruler of Equis! Ah know she's gonna succeed in her mission since she has always succeeded in getting on what she wants.
Well she only failed once and that was recently when some time traveling alicorn and a baby dragon came out of nowhere. Princess Nightmare Moon threatened the life of the alicorn’s dragon. But the alicorn outwitted the princess and escaped along with her dragon. Much to the princess’s displeasement. But one remark my gal Rainbow Dash made me almost choke on my apple. It was in where she came from Nightmare Moon was defeated by her and her friends. And she almost looked exactly like Twi. Even had the same cutiemark. Except she was taller and an alicorn and Twi is just an unicorn. Maybe it's just some coincidence. A very strange coincidence.
The Apple Family Reunion is before The Summer Moon Celebration and she to work ah won't be able to attend the reunion. And ah had to write that damn letter again.
Dear my family,
I am sorry but I won't be able to attend the Apple Family Reunion for the second time in a row. I am so sorry but Princess Nightmare Moon wanting me to work almost all night so I can't make it. I'm so so sorry please forgive me.

Hey, it's Apple Bloom and I and my family understand your situation. The Princess is very strict and we understand if she's demanding you work you must work. Things haven't been going so well our company is doing well, but Granny Smith is hasn't been doing so well. She’s been coughing alot and I've gotten worried about her. We're going to take her to the hospital and pray she gets better.

The letter is strained with tears most likely from mah little sister, Apple Bloom. She’s grown up so quickly time sure flies by. I gained the courage to ask Her Highness to go visit my family. She… she said “no get back to work, Applejack" how...how heartless is she!? She imprisoned her own sister and won't let me visit mah family. That...that bitch…
How could ah work fer her?! She's so ruthless and face it she's a dictator and a tyrant! Ah hate her with all mah heart. Why can't ah jus stand up to her!

Calm down Applejack, y'all can do this. Ah'm sorry fer mah outburst. Ah was jus angry ah know ah can't rebel. Ah like everypony else am afraid of Nightmare Moon. She uses fear to control us and that's how her reign has lasted years. Everyday ah jus want to wake up one day in my bed on the farm in the early morning, and feel the sun shine on me. But that never happens.

I struggle to move around now even after seven years of eternal night. The moon doesn't give the same light as the sun. Oh dear Fluttershy! You shouldn't say the su- I mean that old thing. It's outlawed to even say the that celestial body or our old leader. You would get executed by Nightmare Moon’s executioner and my friend, Pinkamena. Or you would get sent to the...to the...hole.
Even though I never went there, I heard such terrible stories from guards who used to work there and my friend, Rainbow Dash. Everypony who was sent there never came back. I hope I'll never get sent there since I'm just the quiet gardener.
My job is easy; just tend to the flowers in the castle garden and care of the animals living in the garden. Though I miss my cottage in Ponyville, when I was forced to be in the castle staff I put all of my animals in the garden. I politely asked to do so and I'm glad I was able to do so.
I'm glad I'm not picked on as there is a lot of mean people working here. Since I have a friendship with Rainbow Dash, Captain Of The Nightmare Guard, Rainbow Dash to be clear. She always had protected me from those who would bully me. Guess I'm an easy target for them.
I was there at the last ever Summer Sun Celebration. Princess Celestia never came for the celebration. Instead Nightmare Moon came. She took over and crowned herself Princess Of Equestria. Then there was never a Summer Sun Celebration or a sun.
I was in charge of the music my birds were perfect it's too bad the princes never got to heard it. Then there were many rebellions one led by Moondancer, the former apprentice of the former Princess Celestia. She...and her group Solar Citizens rebelled fairly early in the new reign.
They almost overthrew Nightmare Moon and her forces. But...they failed. Then everypony in Equestria was forced to see the public execution. They...they...THEY!!

Deep breaths Fluttershy. You...you can do this. They were burned alive and I will never forget their screams of agony. I would never be in a rebellion and I didn't want another rebellion. I can't take it! But...there were more rebellions. Either by being eaten alive by starved timberwolves or being burned alive, I saw their deaths and nopony did anything to stop their suffering.
I feel bad for Twilight. She knew Moondancer since Twilight once worked in Celestia’s Science Division. She also saw her friend’s execution. I couldn't imagine witnessing my own friend's execution. I wouldn't be able to go on living anymore.
Celestia cared for animals well being. Nightmare Moon, on the other hoof, doesn't care about animals. She'll kill them without hesitation and I'm too scared to stand up to her.
We didn't lose all of our princesses. Celestia might of been our main ruler, but there was another Princess. There was Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, the ruler of The Crystal Empire and the last survivor of The Crystal Empire Royal Family.
She's also the niece of Nightmare Moon so I guess by the family connection she spared her life. Well there is Prince Blueblood, her distant nephew. He was killed because I guess Nightmare Moon didn't like him. It just scares me Nightmare Moon can execute somepony just because she doesn't like them.
Cadance is a nice pony, much different than her aunt. She's also the sister-in-law of Twilight and Nightmare Moon is the aunt-in-law of Twilight as well.
The Summer Moon Celebration is coming up. It's the celebration of Princess Nightmare Moon banishing Princess Celestia. It’s a horrible holiday, my least favorite day of the year. But I'm forced to go like everypony else. That day used to be so happy and one of the best holidays. Not anymore. The servants around the castle were hustling were putting up decorations of Princess Nightmare Moon.
Deep down I'm snarling in disgust I never liked Nightmare Moon. At least Equestria isn't in any chaos. Well I'm off to work now.

Greetings, I am very proud with myself because I serve Her Highness, Princess Nightmare Moon. The first in command of the equine land of Equestria. I am Pinkamena Diane Pie, the second lieutenant of The Nightmare Guard and my sister, Maud Pie is the first lieutenant of the guard. I have pledged my loyalty to her and would kill anypony who threatens her. There is a reason why I am The Royal Executioner, but I haven't executed anypony lately. Probably because of the creation of the death camp for Equestria’s most notorious criminals ever, The Hole. Everypony who is sent there is expected to die within as few months. Making their deaths slow and painful.
I don't really miss the former Princess Celestia. She was very naive and if her sister could defeat her then she was the better ruler. Celestia is a completely incompetent ruler.
With the sun...well I don't miss it either. I guess I never really had a connection to it. At my old home The Pie Family Rock Farm we didn't really get that much sun. It was always dark and gloomy. I am the daughter of Igneous Rock, a veteran of The Equestrian Army. And Cloudy Quartz, my mother. The rock farm has been in the family for centuries. When her brother died in a carriage accident, the farm was handed to her. Her parents died from old age a little while after her brother's death. Then my mother took over the farm. Then she met my father in his visit to Rockville and then the rest is history.
I am the third child of the family. The oldest of the children is my sister, First Lieutenant Maud Pie. Then the second oldest is Limestone and then there's me. I am a twin and my twin sister (not identical), Marble, is younger by a few seconds. Limestone and Marble were drafted into the army or staff of Princess Nightmare Moon. Limestone is one of the Princess's bodyguards and Marble is aservant.
When Nightmare Moon imprisoned our former leader (Celestia) in the Moon and took over Equestria many rebellions happened. Idiots. If she could defeat Celestia, what makes you think you mere normal ponies can defeat an all powerful alicorn?!
Stars... some ponies are just insane. Then after a year of her reign and many public executions the Princess ordered drafts of Citizens to serve her. My sister and I were were drafted into the army as well as nearly all of Equestrian Citizens.
I have to hand it to Nightmare Moon. She keeps Equestria steady, Economically and Socially. She had repaired a lot of relations with foreign countries. There is more than half as many illegal immigrants in Equestria. Celestia was too scared to take any action on basically everything.
Recently a bigoted, racist, idiotic, business pony tried to run as a Ponylican to be Canterlot’s Mayor as the old one’s term was over. I mean that stallion tried to pretend to be his own PR pony! Good thing Princess Nightmare Moon stopped him from running and suspended his campaign. Why would anypony vote for that foal to be the mayor of Equestria’s capital? Stars, what happened to the Ponylican Party? Celestia’s former Highest Chancellor, Hoofclin was a Ponylican. That was centuries ago and he is named as one of the most famous politicians in history. Now all of them are shit…
Getting off track now, the conflict in The Middle East has gotten worse and goat refugees are overflowing Equestria. But Princess Nightmare Moon has been upping up military costing. Why? Not because of entering a war, but she wants to take over the world. Thinking it would be best for Equis. Recently due to advances in her science field she went into different alternate realities in the future. It's all a part of her wanting to have the technology and\or magic to have time travel. She has made moderate success with it. But she will eventually succeed in the future I’m pretty sure. I agree completely with her not because she is my boss it is because the rest of Equis is a wreck. War, corruption, pollution, disease, and recessions runs wild. The world will be better as Princess Nightmare Moon as supreme ruler. And in the future realities all there was just misery everywhere else. So she thinks they only way she can save them is by taking over control of them.
Many jobs have been created, better laws, all the disgusting nobles have been stripped of their power. None of that happened when Celestia was in power. If she was a better ruler how come she was defeated?
The only reason Celestia won the first time against Nightmare Moon was the Elements Of Harmony helping her. If Celestia can't defend her kingdom how could she rule us!? Can't believe her rule lasted a thousand years…
Nightmare Moon has kept order, peace, and kept her ponies out of harm's way. The rest of the world is a complete wreck. Princess Nightmare Moon just wants her country to be the best and expanding her kingdom will the best for everypony. This is Lieutenant Pinkamena Diane Pie signing off.

There is nothing that can describe my whirlwind of a life. I'm Twilight Sparkle, the head scientist of the so called “Princess” Nightmare Moon’s Science and Magic Division.
When I was a young filly I was deeply fascinated with magic. I had an exam I had to pass to get into Celestia’s School For Gifted Unicorns. No matter how hard I studied, I couldn't pass it. I didn't really focus on magic anymore after that failure. I mostly after that just focused on science and journalism.
With that I was a scientist in Celestia’s Science Division. I then met Minnutte, Lemon Hearts, Lyra Heartstrings, Twinkleshine, and Moondancer. They were all students at the school I failed to get into and Moondancer was even the personal protege of Princess Celestia. My best friends, but they're dead now and I did nothing to stop it.
On the Thousandth Summer Sun Celebration, The Mare In The Moon, Nightmare Moon came back to Equestria after being banished for a thousand years. Nightmare Moon was thought to be an old mare’s tale. However, she was completely real. Nightmare Moon imprisoned Celestia in the moon and took over Equestria.
Shining Armor and Cadance were forced to serve her and if they disobeyed, their loved ones would lose their lives. Moondancer and my other friends wanted Nightmare gone and formed a rebellion. I was too scared to be a member and distanced myself. If I did become a member I would be dead right now.
And so Moondancer and her group, the Solar Fighters, rebelled and almost succeeded in overthrowing Nightmare Moon. But in the end they failed and were arrested. The trial was all Equestria could talk about, and in the end the Solar Fighters were given the death penalty at their trial and would be burned at the stake twenty-one hours later.
Nopony was allowed to visit any of the Solar Fighters on their last day alive. But Cadance due to her Princesshood and relation to the new crowned Princess Of Equestria she got me the opportunity to visit one friend. It was the hardest decision of my life to decide what friend I would talk to the last time.
I decided I would see Moondancer. When I saw her in her cell my heart wrenched. She was so... unrecognizable due to her beatings… Her horn was completely gone, bruises and gashes oozing blood were all over her body, and she was completely blind in one eye. She didn't even look like a pony.
When she noticed me we just stared at one another in silence for a few minutes. Then tears flooded my eyes.
“I-I’m sorry, Moondancer if I-I joined-”
Moondancer looked at me with her one good eye. “No apologies...it's my fault I should have never formed Solar Fighters. Then many ponies would still have your lives.”
I couldn't take it anymore and fell into her hooves uncontrollably crying. And for the few hours she was alive we talked, laughed and cried. Then there was the dreadful time I had to leave.
“Twilight?” Moondancer asked.
“Yes?”
“Please forgive me for dragging ponies into my rebellion.”
“You don't need to apologize it...it wasn't your fault.”
That was the last thing I told my friend and I, like everypony else, was forced to be in attendance. I saw Moondancer take her last breath well…not really a last breath she died screaming in agony.
Many more rebellions happened and I was forced to see more of those killings. I just wonder if I joined Solar Fighters, would Nightmare Moon be stopped? Would my friends still be alive?
When my friends died their bodies stayed on the stakes they died on. With the help of my brother, Shining Armor, and Cadance, we took my friends’ bodies. We buried them and their graves only have one visitor. They may be traitors to the crown but I still love them.
I haven't seen any of my friend’s family since the execution. They all have been casted out of society.
Later I found out Princess Celestia has a sister who “died” a thousand years ago killed by Nightmare Moon. Her name was Princess Luna and she had the duty of the moon. I researched more and I found out Princess Luna was not dead. She was Nightmare Moon! Celestia lied about her sister so her subjects wouldn't know her own sister, and their ruler was close to killing her! Princess Luna became jealous of Princess Celestia and turned into Nightmare Moon in her bitterness. Turns out The Legend Of The Two Sisters was a true story. It was just rumor that Princess Luna was Nightmare Moon...
I was drafted into Nightmare Moon’s Science and Magic Division. I didn't want to but...if I didn't my loved ones would suffer for it. All of my former employees were also drafted and after my boss died from a stroke in his sleep, I became head of The Science and Magic Division. The first thing I did for Nightmare Moon was to make magic spell on seeds for them to grow in the dark night.
I still mourning the loss of my old friends who I still mourn about to this day. Well... I made new friends, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkamena although she can have a temper she can be a nice pony when getting to know her. We all serve Nightmare Moon. Fluttershy being the castle gardener, Rainbow being Captain Of The Nightmare Guard, Rarity being the personal hoofmaiden of Nightmare Moon, Applejack is the Head Of Weapons Development, Pinkamena is the second lieutenant of The Nightmare Guard, and recently Starlight Glimmer who just started working on my Division.
Recently a time traveling alicorn and baby dragon just showed up out of nowhere. The alicorn somehow knew Rarity’s name. But it gets weirder the alicorn looked exactly like me. The same voice, same fur, same coat, same eyes, same man and tail, and even the same same cutie mark. But there were differences. She was taller than me and well...an alicorn.
The alicorn somehow outwitted Nightmare Moon and boy was Nightmare Moon fuming. Nightmare Moon wanted the magic the alicorn had to time travel. Since she escaped Nightmare Moon is trying to get the magic and technology to time travel.
We made moderate success with creating portals to the future. Nightmare Moon went into all the portals to the future. For Equestria...well sadly we were still under Nightmare Moon’s rule. But there was still peace, nothing was different. Everywhere but Equestria? Well countries like Griffonstone, Saddle Arabia, and many more countries were in shambles. That gave Nightmare Moon the idea she should control all of the world to “save” them.
And so weapons development is up and I’ve been working day and night on new magic and technology. I can't believe I'm actually serving the wicked mare who approved of the deaths of my friends. Rest in peace my friends...I love you all.

I am the Princess Of Equestria, Nightmare Moon, Queen of the Night, daughter of Queen Lauren Faust and King Artemis, aunt of The Crystal Princess, Mi Amore Cadenza, and all of Equestria bows to me. Those who don't? Well...they won't live and their death will be slow and painful.
Guess it all started centuries into my sis-Celestia and I's rule. I was once known as Princess Luna and in the shadow of Celestia. Ponies just rejected my night and relished in my sister's day. I couldn't take it anymore and then Nightmare Moon was born from Luna's hate. I nearly defeated that foal Celestia, but she used The Elements Of Harmony and sealed me into the moon. One-thousand damn long years I was on my Moon. It was like a sick joke.
Then the stars aided in my escape. When I came back Celestia was there waiting for me and ready to fight and try to bring back her precious sister. But she didn't have the Elements, the objects that sealed me in the moon. After a huge battle I gave her exactly what she deserved. The same hell I went through for a thousand years.
Turns out the Elements had turned to stone and magic disappeared completely after I was banished, as we both betrayed our Elements by battling each other. So Celestia couldn't use them again.
The Royal Guard turned into The Nightmare Guard and they had to serve and be loyal to me. Captain of the Guard, Shining Armor, and eventually my nephew-in-law had to be threatened to serve me same with my royal niece. In my absence from Equestria another alicorn came into the picture, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. She was a relative of my old friend, Princess Amore. That reminds me; I wonder how the team of guards I sent to retrieve the shattered pieces of Princess Amore are doing?
Anyways, I kept Cadenza alive. Why? Because she was their Princess Of Equestria and second in command She could convince the population of Equestria to adjust to my rule. I sent her then just coltfriend, Captain Shining Armor and Princess Mi Amore to travel Equestria and give speeches about my rule. It worked and the ponies of Equestria became my faithful subjects.
I had another family member. My parents adopted a unicorn colt who was left for dead on the streets. Apparently my distant nephew, Prince Blueblood was a descendant of my brother. Prince Blueblood served no use to me and he was a pompous snob and I wanted him gone. And so he was gone.
I took over and fear trumps everything really. Of course I knew Equestrians were not too keen with their new ruler. Many rebellions happened; the first was Solar Fighters led by none other than the personal protégé of Celestia, Moondancer.
Really? Honestly they thought they could defeat me!? I was the one who defeated Celestia! How could they honestly think they could defeat me!? Tsk...I defeated them of course and I approved the sentence of the death penalty.
To control Equestrians I ordered that everypony will be attendance of the public execution even foals. They were burnt at the stake I don't know what happened to their bodies, nopony touched them. I'm guessing animals took the bodies and feasted on them.
Many foolish ponies still rebelled and they were quickly defeated and given the death penalty. There hasn't been a rebellion in six years, so I guess ponies just gave up and accepted I am their Princess now.
I found out Celestia had another student before Moondancer, but she rebelled and went through a magic mirror to another world. I didn't want a rebel and destroyed the mirror.
I protect them and I have kept them from any danger. Celestia has had her subjects in danger multiple times! I have never gotten my subjects in the way of danger. I shattered the statue that was once Discord. Why did I technically kill him? I knew Celestia and I weren't connected to the Elements and so he could take over Equestria again. I defeated Queen Chrysalis before she could attempt to take over Canterlot. Her attempts at impersonating my Royal Niece were pathetic. I defeated King Sombra. And I imprisoned Lord Tirek again before he could grow strong. Ponies worried about their crops and I had a hoof in creating the spell on seeds for them to grow in the night.
Out of nowhere a few months ago an alicorn who looks almost exactly like the head of my science and magic division with a dragon came into my castle. The alicorn escaped and there went my chance of time travel. She said she was from another world. Even though she looked like Twilight Sparkle it wasn't her. I did magic examination on the alicorn without her knowing and it wasn't my Twilight Sparkle.
Was the alicorn from an alternate reality? She said in her world her and her friends defeated me. I can't risk it. Twilight Sparkle may be a threat to me. So I'm planning her death. I'll just make her death a hanging, so it looks like a suicide.
But I can't have Twilight Sparkle die, at least not now. She is a big part in my desire of time travel. The most brilliant minds in Equestria have made portals to the future which is a path in the right direction.
I traveled through the portals myself and Equestria was under my rule still, and there was peace and ponies still bowed to me. Everywhere else? War, corruption, misery, pollution, and many more undesirable problems ran wild. I came to a conclusion I need to take over all of Equis. The chaos might reach my country and I can't risk it.
I met Trixie Lulamoon, the perfect puppet. She has grown to be a famous magician adored by all. Ponies are obsessed with celebrities and Trixie is one of the biggest of them all. Trixie will do anything I say and so her fans will follow and listen to her. She isn't a very skilled magic user at all, but I just made her my apprentice to use her popularity to my advantage.
It worked and today is the seventh Summer Moon Celebration and ponies all over Equestria are celebrating my victory over Celestia.
However, I am still worried about my sister returning. The stars will aid in Celestia's escape like my own escape. But that's a thousand years from now and by then she won't stand a chance. I won't imprison Celestia again. I just wanted Celestia to go through the same hell I went through. When she comes back I’ll kill Celestia with my own hooves.
Things are getting a little lonely…NO! IT’S NOT! Sorry that's the pathetic foal Luna. Don't listen to her! A little bit of her comes out every now and then. Though I would like an heir if anything were to happen to me. Perhaps I shall have a child in the future and my child be perfect.
I have everything now I could ever want. Nopony will get in my way the night has lasted for seven years and it will last forever!

Wow...Seven years…
Can't believe it's been seven years. Time sure flies by, huh? It seems just like yesterday Princess Nightmare Moon took over Equestria and imprisoned our old ruler, Princess Celestia, in the moon. Nopony expected it to happen and ponies forgot that the image of a pony in the moon was a real pony. The citizens of Equestria were terrified and some tried to overthrow our new ruler.
But...they failed and every time every citizen of Equestria no matter what age are forced to see the execution. The Princess says it's to scare the ponies to not rebel. And it works, there hasn't been a rebellion in years.
One of the rebellions was led by Moondancer, the former apprentice of Princess Celestia. She and a group of ponies (The Solar Fighters) rebelled against Princess Nightmare Moon. They failed... When they were caught they were tortured and beaten to near death.
Me and everypony else in Equestria was forced to see her execution and her group. I saw her scream in agony when being burned at the stake along with the rest of the ponies of her group. That image will haunt me and everypony else forever.
But after all these years ponies still fear her, but that keeps her in power and how she controls ponies. Ponies have stopped rebelling and gotten used to her reign and are even loyal to her, like me. We aren't in chaos, war, destruction, starving, or something else terrible. Even if you hate Princess Nightmare Moon she's keeping us safe and ponies gave up trying to overthrow her lunar reign after many failed attempts.
The ponies of Equestria are not in any danger. She destroyed the statue of Discord before he escaped, Queen Chrysalis and her changelings, King Sombra, and Tirek. She found a way through magic to grow plants without the sun and tourism of Nightmare Moon's Castle is very successful.
She is very strict though, very different than Celestia. She was kind, generous, merciful, and patient. Princess Nightmare Moon is very different. She is impatient, merciless, scary, and ruthless.
Before the Thousandth Summer Sun Celebration where Nightmare Moon came back I was just an inspiring fashion designer. Longing to serve to elite and noble, look where I am now. The personal hoof maiden of the ruler of Equestria, the first in command, and Mistress of the Night. In fact I was even a bridesmaid for her niece, Mi Amore Cadenza, ruler of The Crystal Empire wedding.
The origin of Nightmare Moon surprised me. It was just the plot of book, The Legend Of The Two Sisters. I thought was just a story. Princess Nightmare Moon was the sister of Celestia and they rule together in harmony. Nightmare Moon became jealous and bitter of Princess Celestia because ponies relished in her sun. That jealousy and bitterness turned her into Nightmare Moon. Princess Celestia defeated her the first time and imprisoned her In the moon.
But yet the second time Celestia was defeated and put in the moon. After a year of her rule I realized that nopony was going overthrow the Princess’s rule. My hope for Celestia coming back was gone and I realized that the best I could do is obey and adjust to my new life.
I was forced to recruit into the princess's staff. Many ponies all over Equestria were recruited into her army and staff. After many promotions I got the highest honor for a servant!
In fact, I'm the Princess's most trusted servant! Many of my old friends from Ponyville now work for Her Highness now. Such as Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. There is also Pinkamena Diane Pie and Twilight Sparkle I met a while after I first started working here.
I still sometimes design fashion and I also lead Nightmare Moon's Financial Division. How busy am I! I like my job. Does that sound crazy? Yes. But serving the most powerful and terrifying pony in Equestria is not so bad. Princess Nightmare Moon being my mistress doesn't bother me.
But it's the Princess's student is the one who truly makes me loathe my job. When ever my mistress tasks me of serving her student, Trixie Lulamoon. I feel like clawing out somepony's eyes.
Oh my stars. She's so arrogant, boastful, and annoying. I hate the way she acts like she's better than everypony else she calls herself "The Great And Powerful Trixie". To worsen it she speaks in third person, has terrible fashion sense, and she's revered as a hero to Equestria. Tsk.
Recently a purple alicorn and a baby dragon just showed up after tourist visiting hours. She looked a lot like my friend, Twilight Sparkle. They had the same coat, mane and tail, voice, and even the same cutiemark. But Twilight is a unicorn and a lot shorter than that alicorn.
The alicorn and dragon somehow knew my name! I swear, she was some time traveling pony, at least from my knowledge. Rainbow Dash told me she managed to outwit the Princess and her and her dragon left through some time portal. Rainbow Dash told me the alicorn said where she was from Nightmare Moon was defeated.
An Equestria without Nightmare Moon in power... That's just absurd to ponies and me. I could just imagine…
Do I miss the sun? Do I feel like I betrayed Celestia since she had made so many sacrifices for us? Yes and yes. I miss the sun's warmth sometimes and how I shone in the sunlight. I wanted Celestia back, but if I tried to overthrow the Princess, not only me, but my friends and family would suffer.
I think of Moondancer when I want Nightmare Moon's reign to be over. Moondancer's family is now suffering still. Moondancer's loved ones were forced to be in the front row of her execution. They're continuously harassed for being associated with her. I wouldn't want that to happen to family.
Call me a coward. Fine, but I love my family, including my dear sister, Sweetie Belle, too much. I do feel disgusted how us Equestrians just let her take power and do horrible stuff. Sometimes I have a glimmer of hope for Nightmare Moon's reign to be over. She has committed so many atrocities under her rule.
When I was a filly I read many fairy tales about the princess and and her prince in shining armor save the day and defeat the evil villain. This is real life and the villain has won. I won't live to see the day she loses her position as ruler of all of Equestria. In fact nopony will ever see that day since it will never happen.
