Truth Behind Harmony: A Broken Nation
Mothers Worry
Load Full StoryNext ChapterMercury sighed as she kept looking over the latest group of personnel files, for she had just received a report from the outer reaches defense division that her youngest daughter, Lyra Heartstrings, was once again without a full time partner.
She knew what the problem was of course, Lyra had been complaining about it for years, though Mercury didn’t know what she could do about it. The O.R.D.D. was classified as one of the worst assignments by anypony outside the division, and in a lot of ways it was. But for the ponies who worked it, it was one of the best jobs around, especially when it came to the many perks.
A lot of the ponies who worked with the O.R.D.D. didn’t have time to form personal relationships, but like any sentient creature, they had needs and desires that had to be taken care of. So, out of both necessity, and also partly for the thrill of it, the members of O.R.D.D. started to sleep with their assigned partners, figuring they might as well get their rocks off with somepony other than themselves.
However, when it came to her daughter Lyra, it seemed that any partner she ever got assigned had a deathly fear of sleeping with her, fearing both the mare herself and what Mercury might do if she found out they were sleeping with her daughter.
“Give them a fucking raise, that’s what I would do,” growled Mercury, who was frankly tiered of her daughters incessant wining about not getting any every dam time she called. It wasn’t her dam fault half the dam nation feared her, Mercury was after all death itself, and was also responsible for making some of the most horrific decisions in the history of her great nation.
She was brought out of her musings however by the one of the files catching her eye, stopping herself from heading onto the next one and giving it a more thorough look. “Hm…Agent Bon-Bon Sweetdrops, daughter of Director Umbrella and Doctor Shin-Ra, recently transferred to O.R.D.D. at personal request. Currently without partner due to incompatibility with other members, Alicorn class siren, strong protective instincts.”
There were sub files attached to the main one, but from what she could tell all of them were encrypted, and she could tell by the level of encryption it would take her several days, even if she used her little pets to crack them open. But despite this, this Bon-Bon was a good candidate; she just had to make sure of one thing.
She quickly looked up the mare’s number, grabbing her phone and dialing the number, waiting patiently as the line opened and a groggy voice spoke.
“Who the fuck is this?”
“This is President Mercury Ordea Waters,” said Mercury with a grin, knowing that just by her voice the pony would recognize her, but she felt like rubbing it in just a tad bit more who was calling, and was rewarded by the sound of the mare springing up to attention.
“Madame President,” said Bon-Bon, “wha…what do I owe the pleasure of your call?”
“You can relax soldier, you’re not in trouble, I just wanted to talk to you about your recent transfer to O.R.D.D. two days ago.”
“You wouldn’t happen to be calling on behalf of my father would you,” Bon-Bon said, Mercury noting the slight amount of hostility in her voice.
“And why would you think that,” said Mercury, having her suspicions but deciding to let the younger mare confirm them for her.
“My dad is very overprotective of me, has been ever since I was a child.”
“Yes, Umbrella tends to get that way with his lab rats.”
She let the words hang in the air for a long while, waiting for the inevitable pin to drop which would start this conversation again.
“I don’t know what you’re…”
“Don’t bullshit me Bon-Bon,” said Mercury; cutting her off as she attempted to lie, “I have been through your file and your father’s signature encryptions are all over it, especially around the files pertaining to your time in Umbrella Labs.”
She thought she heard the phone slip from Bon-Bon’s grasp and smiled to herself, it was obvious that Bon-Bon hadn’t expected her to know about that. “Ok mam you got me, but what does this have to do with your call.”
“Well you see I have a special assignment for you Miss Bon-Bon, but I just want to make sure you don’t have any behavioral conditioning or modifiers placed inside your mind before giving you this assignment.”
“You don’t have to worry about that mam, my mother is a better scientist then my father, and confirmed much to his anger that I am incompatible with any kind of behavioral modification or tampering.”
“Good,” said Mercury, “very good.”
“And what’s my assignment mam, if I may ask?”
“You will be assigned as my daughter Lyra, which lead me to my next set of questions, first of which being do you know of her?”
“Why of course,” said Bon-Bon excitedly, much to Mercury’s surprise. “Lyra is over five hundred years old, hero of the A.I. War, the Naturalist Rebellion, and survivor of the mutant outbreak in the ruins of Old Cerberus.”
“And what do you think of her?”
“I think she is a fine mare with a level head and a good sense of military discipline.”
“Mhmm, and what do you really think of her, no holding back now.”
“…If I could mam I would pin her to a bed, mount her and then proceed to rut her till she could no longer see straight.”
Mercury smiled at that, “That is exactly what I wanted to hear Bon-Bon, for that is exactly what I want you to do to my daughter.”
She could have sworn she heard choking, followed by coughing as the mare on the other end tried to get a hold of herself, “You want me to what?”
“I what you to fuck my daughter silly,” said Mercury, “was I not clear enough?”
“I…I am sorry mam, it’s just I was not expecting the mother of a mare I find very fuckable to ask me to fuck her brains out, no offense.”
“None taken dear, but I have to do this, you would not believe the calls I get because of the many partners before you saying no to copulation.”
“...there were ponies who said no to her?”
“Too many to count sadly, all because they for some reason think I would kill them if they so much as touched her, even though they seem to forget that I myself have dabbled here and there.”
“I see...um...when do you want to...”
“At once dear girl, for I must say, she is quite needy, and I already have your travel documents printing out of your fax machine as we speak, so make haste.”
there was a moments pause, and then she heard the call drop, placing the phone down with a smile as she looked toward a picture of her smiling daughter, shaking her head as she spoke. “The things we do for our children.”
