Lyra Heartstrings is a unicorn who lives in Ponyville. When Twilight Sparkle invites her to her castle, Lyra is thrilled. But soon, she gets lost on her way to the throne room! When she discovers a door that leads into a room with a giant purple mirror, Lyra's curiosity gets the best of her and she jumps in... only to find herself in a strange new world full of two-legged animals. When she realizes that everybody here is also in Equestria- pony form, of course- she sets out to find somebody that can help her return to Twilight's castle and get back to Equestria.

The Mysterious Room

Lyra Heartstrings walked up towards the Sweet Shoppe. She was usually starving at a time like this, but this was different. Rainbow Dash had told her to meet her there so that Dash could give Lyra a letter from Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship. Lyra had been Twilight's friend back in Canterlot, but she had no idea why Twilight wanted to see her now.

"Hi Rainbow!" Lyra smiled and ran over to her. Rainbow Dash smiled at her.

"Here." she said to Lyra, who was very confused. Dash smirked and handed her an invitation.

"You are cordially invited to Twilight Sparkle's Castle in the Throne Room for a Special Party by Pinkamena Diane Pie" it said. Lyra squealed.

"Now shush! I'm trying to hide from Scootaloo!" Rainbow Dash said to her, frantically looking around, then flying off. Lyra smiled. She and Twilight were going to have sooooo much fun.

"Lyra! You're here!" Pinkie Pie squeeeeed and pulled her inside.

"LYRA'S HERE!" she screamed, which instantly brought the Mane 6 running.

"Come on! The throne room is this way!" Twilight said, then flew off. Lyra was dumbfounded. She couldn't follow her! That's when she saw a mysterious room. I probably shouldn't go in there... Lyra thought, but then she thought better of it.

"It's probably a shortcut!" she said, then ran inside.

This is a fanfic based on the Lyra and Humans theory... if you like it please like and comment! If you want Chapter 2, do the same :)

As Bon Bon ran off, Lyra was distracted by a bus pulling up to the front of the school. A hooded figure walked off, and started messing with the statue at the front. Lyra was intrigued.

"Hello!" she said, running up to her.

"Oh... hi!" the girl replied, waving. "I'm Twilight Sparkle."

Lyra almost fell on her butt. "Twilight... Sparkle?"

"Yes..." Twilight was confused. Then Lyra grabbed her and pushed her into the statue. Twilight screamed, expecting to be seriously killed, but intead flew through a vortex and blacked out.

************************************************************************************************************************ Twilight Sparkle blinked open her eyes. She was lying on a stone floor. Wasn't I outside? She looked around and got up, only to fall onto four legs. What the... She looked down. SHE HAD HOOVES! Then she turned around and saw the girl- pony that pushed her into the statue. Only now she was a unicorn! Voices carried through the crowded hallways.

"Lyra! Where are you?" yelled a strangely familiar voice.

"YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE PARTY!" screamed another. Twilight was scared.

"So... your name is Lyra?" Twilight asked.

"Yup!" Lyra said, then screamed "WE'RE OVER HERE!" to the voices. Soon a yellow-and-pink pegasus came into the room.

"Hi Lyra!" she said softly.

"Hello, Fluttershy" Lyra said, smiling. Fluttershy then turned to Twilight.

"I thought you were in the throne room." Fluttershy looked confused, so Lyra whispered into her ear.

"Ohhhhhh." Fluttershy sighed. That's when she screamed. "WAIT! ANOTHER TWI-" She turned to scream at Twilight, but both Twilight and Lyra were gone.

As Fluttershy looked behind her quizzically, Twilight and Lyra ran toward the portal room.

"Why did I ever think you were pony Twilight?" Lyra said aloud, hoof out.

"What are you talking about?! I've gone to Crystal Prep my whole life! Why would you think- oh god, STOP NOW!" Twilight stopped suddenly, and Lyra, not realizing, kept running- straight into Bon Bon.

"Lyra! How are you! I've been looking everywhere! Come on! We have to run!" she yelled. "Why? Some monster attacking Ponyville again? Who is it? Discord? King Sombra? The bug-bear? Who?" Lyra hyperventilated, freaking out.

"Well... none!" Bon Bon replied, then started shimmering. "It is... QUEEN CHRYSALIS!" Bon Bon disappeared, becoming a- a changeling?!

"No!" yelled Lyra. "Now you have another world's magic inside you. I would've taken Twilight, but she's kinda... well, being a scaredy-pony right now, with the cowardly Pegasus!" Queen Chrysalis laughed evilly, and Lyra looked behind her. Fluttershy and Twilight hid back behind a corner. Lyra face-hoofed.

"Now Equestria will be mine! Changelings, regroup! Drain her love!" As a LOT of changelings flew down and started sucking Lyra's skin, Twilight looked at Fluttershy. "We have to help her!" she whisper-yelled to her. "But how? We're two ponies... against an ARMY!"

The room looked just like the other rooms in Twilight's castle... except for the giant mirror. It was slowly pulsing, and Lyra's eyes followed it. She shook her head and decided something. She jumped in.

PLOP! She fell onto a surface-grass. She looked around and saw a two legged creature. She looked oddly like Bon Bon...

"Hi, Lyra!" the creature said.

"Um... hi?" Lyra didn't understand where she was, but soon she saw Bon Bon running toward another girl, who was holding an open book and was typing something.

"Pinkie Pie!" Bon Bon yelled, causing the girl to turn around.

"Hi, Bon Bon!" The two girls hugged, causing Pinkie to drop her book. Lyra picked it up and looked inside. It said Oops, I'm Equine Again by MythrilMoth on something called FIMFiction.net. Lyra started to read.

~Smiiiiiiiile! Come on and smile! Come on and smile!~
Sunset Shimmer groaned as Pinkie Pie's ringtone blared out of her phone. The sun blazed through her window, but she was still bundled up in her bedsheets. She had a splitting headache, and didn't particularly feel like getting out of bed, or even reaching for her phone to answer it.
Fortunately, she didn't have to.

"Answer call," she said. "Speakerphone."
Her phone chimed acknowledgement, ending the obnoxiously cheery ringtone.

"Sunset Shimmer~~!" Pinkie's voice rang out from the speaker.

"Hey Pinkie," Sunset replied in the loudest strained groan she- Lyra had to stop reading, for Pinkie had taken her book back.

"Hey!" Lyra yelled, mad. "I was reading that!"
"Yeah, but it's my laptop." Pinkie replied, a little annoyed, and walked off. So that book is called a "laptop"... Lyra thought. She wondered what else she would learn here...
