"Mmmm... AJ...", Rainbow said, moaning in her sleep. Once again, the multi-colored pegasus was dreaming about none other than Applejack, the most amazing cowpony she had ever met. She rolled and kicked a leg in her cloud bed, then woke up, gasping and sweating for breath. Dash groaned in protest.
"Aww horseapples! I was just at the good part!", She yelled, waving her hooves in the air for emphasis. Rainbow had been dreaming of AJ since 'The Running of The Leaves'. It had been weird at first until she came to realize... she was in love with the farm mare, and wanted to kiss her ever since. Dash was wanting to kiss her so bad it drove her wild. She needed to think of something, and quick, before she went mad at the tension in her body.
Rainbow huffed, "I need to go for a fly, it's morning anyway. Plus, Applejack should be awake at this time. I'll be back home later tank!", RD yelled to her pet tortoise, Tank, then headed off out the door. Tank just looked on at where his owner left and blinked slowly before flying around the house to find something to chew on.
LATER AT SWEET APPLE ACRES...
"Ah jus' don't know what's wrong with me! Ah keep thinkin' 'bout that con'sarn pegasus all the time an' Ah can't think straight!", Applejack was yelling in the orchard to herself, bucking apples. The apples fell into the baskets with ease, one almost falling out before rolling back inside it. AJ just couldn't stop thinking and dreaming about a certain cyan pegasus ever since the 'Iron Pony Competition'. She tried to ignore it, push it to the back of her thoughts, but it just kept coming back without realizing it. She grimaced in annoyance.
"Maybe ya need a break, sis. You've been workin' awfully hard lately, and Ah seen ya almost trip a few moments back there. Go on back to the barn and rest, ya earned it.", Boomed the deep, but gentle, voice of her big brother, Big Macintosh, "Ah'll go ahead and finish the rest of yer part of the orchard for ya."
"Nah Big Mac, Ah'm fine. Jus' been off a little, but no big problem.", AJ protested, tipping her stetson at him. He shook his head and nudged his sister towards the barn.
"Nope, you go on. Ah got this for ya sis. Ah insist.", He responded. Applejack sighed and nodded in thanks, then headed for the barn. As she was walking to the barn, however, she heard a shout overhead. A very familiar shout, it almost sounded like-.
"LOOK OUT BELOW!!!!", yelled a familiar pegasus. AJ ducked just in time before Rainbow Dash crashed into the ground infront of her.
"Dash! Are you ok?!", Applejack asked as she quickly ran over to her secret crush and helped her up. Dash groaned, opening her eyes and greeting AJ with a warm smile and grabbed her hoof to pull herself up. Though when she got up, their muzzles touched and they gazed into each others eyes, their pupils and irises pinpricks. Their cheeks blushed and they both gulped at the same time. They pulled away, AJ rubbing a hoof on her for-leg and Dash rubbing the back of her head.
"So... how ya been?", Dash asked, a bit of pink still on her cheeks. Applejack chuckled, still rubbing her hoof on her for-leg.
"It's been... good, Ah guess. What ya been up to? Ah haven't seen ya around in a while.", She said and she tipped her stetson back on her head.
"Yeah, I've been busy lately with this and that... you know how it goes, hehe.", Dash chuckled, nervously scuffing the dirt path, "So I was wondering...", she started. She had to come up with something, and quick, "Er... wanna have a dance off?!", RD quickly blurted out and mentally face hoofed.
Applejack tilted her head and chuckled in confusion, "A dance off? What, is horse-shoes and The Runnin' of The Leaves not good enough for ya?" Rainbow just smiled nervously and shrugged. AJ sighed with a chuckle and said, "Alright'y then, when an' where do ya wanna do this 'dance off' of yers?"
"Hmm... how about at that night club that Vinyl Scratch DJs at?", Dash asked with a bright expression.
"Uh... ok then... Ah'll meet ya there at five, sharp. Sound good?", AJ asked as her winged friend nodded her head.
This was gonna be perfect for RD! If she showed off her dance moves and impressed Applejack, she could kiss her there just like that! Rainbow thought she was gonna explode from excitement.
"Well, Ah'll see ya then!", said Applejack as she trotted to the farm house.
Rainbow Dash waved at her crush with a smile. This was just perfect. 'Yeah, see ya tonight Apples', and with that, Dash took off into the skies towards her cloud home to get ready for the night.
AT DASH'S HOUSE
Rainbow burst through the door, hollering with glee, "Tank! I just got a date with the most awesomest mare, EVER! Well, it's more of a dance off, but if i can just prove my awesomeness to her, she'll be smothering me in her kisses forever!" Tank just looked on and blinked slowly at his owner thinking, 'It took her this long to finally get her crush?'
"What? You don't think she'll fall for me? Psh, watch me catch her in a dip, then BAM straight in for the kiss. We'll see who's laughing then!", Rainbow said as she flew upstairs to get ready for the night to come.
Yup, it was going to be a great plan... or is it?

Hello hello, everypony! Just thought I make another story, since my other ones didn't get a lot of likes. And! I hadn't seen any new Appledash stories uploaded yet, so I thought I make this one a chapter series! I hope you enjoy this chapter!
