A young changeling named Hornet is sent to ponyville to gather information and investigate the ponies that inhabit the village.
His main targets are Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle.
Unlike most changelings, he is no soldier or worker.
He is to disguise himself as a pony and befriend them.
They must not know that he is a changeling, or the entire plan will be ruined.
This is the mission that Queen Chrysalis herself gave him.
Why she had picked him however, he did not know.
Follow Hornet as he desperately tries to befriend the main six, while still maintaining a low profile.
As the story progresses, Hornet finds that friendship is not as bad as he thought at first. As he gets to know the ponies, he starts liking them more than he should.
And even though he knows that they can never be his real friends, he wants to keep them as long as he can.
This is a story about the many dilemmas one has to face in life, and dealing with personal problems.
