The lost elements

       "She's dead."

        "What do you mean she's dead?"

       "She died, I have no idea how but she died."

       "She can't be dead."

       "But she is. We couldn't save her."

       "Why didn't you try harder?"

       "We tried all we could."

       "She can't be gone."

       "But she is, I truly am sorry for your loss."

      "But we never got to say goodbye to her."

        "It's not your fault."

      "But I let her die."

        "You didn't, it was our fault, not yours."

       "I guess I have to tell the others."

       A few minutes later...

      "She can't be dead!"

      "Wasn't there anything they could do?"

      "Sadly no."

      "I gotta go, got something I need to do."

       "I'm sorry that Applejack died." Twilight said, barely able to say the words. For some odd reason Rainbow Dash had to go somewhere, but Twilight assumed that it was very important. And urgent. The others left too, leaving Twilight alone in the waiting room of the hospital, but eventually she left.

     "I'm home Spike." Muttered Twilight, as she slowly walked to her bed. That night, she had a strange dream. She had no idea what it meant, but she knew it had something to do with rainbows and cupcakes.

     About a week later, Twilight noticed something was off about Rainbow Dash. For starters, her change in tail color, she never realized before, but her friend's tail was dyed black. Rainbow also seemed more easily annoyed, and she assumed that was due to the approaching of Scootaloo's flight test. But she didn't know anything about the more sinister part of Rainbow's sudden changes. She decided to go ask Dash what was going on, so she flew off. Eventually she found Rainbow sleeping on a cloud, as usual, and tapped her on the shoulder.

    "Wha-huh?" She almost fell off her cloud. "Oh hey Twilight, didn't expect you to pop up."

    "Uh hey Rainbow, I was wondering if I could ask you a few things..."

    "Sure Twi, just be quick, I got important business to do."

     "Napping I'm guessing? Why is your tail black suddenly?"

     Dash turned around to look at her tail, "Eh, just trying something out."

     "Why have you been so moody lately?"

    "Mostly because of Scootaloo's upcoming flight test. About time she learned how to fly, and wi an awesome mentor like me there's no way she'll get sent to the Rainbow Fa- deported."

     "Fair enough, but what where you going to say? Rainbow something..."

    "Nothing important. Lemme get back to my nap."

    Rainbow quickly fell asleep again before Twilight could ask any more questions. "Well that was weird, I wonder what's going on with her."

    "Something that I hope that you never find out."

    "What? Who said that?"

   "..."

     "Must have been my imagination... I swore I heard a voice."

    "Yup."

     "Who is there? Who said that?"

     "That my friend, is something you don't need to know."
