Friendship

"So you say that you were about to kill yourself?"

Twilight Sparkle and her new friend Tyler sit in the kitchen drinking tea. Tyler has gotten over the fact that he is speaking to a pony and has begun to enjoy his time. Twilight Sparkle has completely forgotten that this human is a stranger in her land. Both of them sit, enjoying their time and learning about each other.

"Yeah... I am not proud of it. I was so close to hurting my family and causing problems. I didn't mean too! I just couldn't take it!"

Tears start to form in Tyler's eyes. When he was transported into this strange world he realized that what he was about to do was wrong. He shouldn't have done what he was about to do.

"It's okay. You have me now. You have a friend. My friends should be returning soon and you could meet them all. I'm sure they'd love to make a human friend."

"You think? I mean cause nobody has ever wanted to become my friend. I always sat alone in school and never was able to talk to anyone. They just all ignored me and didn't even try to talk to me."

"Let's not worry about that, it's in the past, thinking about it won't get you anywhere. We have to learn to move on and stop wallowing in self pity. If we don't we'll never be happy."

"Thanks Twilight. You're right, I need to stop being such a wimp and move on. I can't wait to meet your friends."

"Well before they arrive lets go outside. I'll show you all of ponyville"

"Sounds like a plan"

Twilight and Tyler stand up and set their tea down, ready to head out for a stroll on the town. As they walk out the door ponies seem to stare at Tyler. They are worried and some hide their fillies behind them. Tyler puts his head down. Saddened at the fact that he scares the ponies around him.

"Everyone! This is my human friend Tyler. He is friendly and doesn't wish to harm any of you. Please be nice to him!"

With that commotion everypony goes about their business. With a look around Tyler realizes the beauty of this town. Beautiful homes and stores line the area. All variations of ponies walked the streets. Unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies. All with different mane styles and cutie marks. During their time in the library Twilight told Tyler all about Equestria and the different creatures and ponies that inhabit it. He also learned much about her friends. He continues to run their names and what they look like through his head over and over.

Applejack, orange earth pony that is very southern like and also strong and dependable. Rainbow Dash, cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane, not really hard to forget that one. Rarity, white unicorn that is beautiful and elegant with the most lovely name in all of Equestria. Fluttershy, yellow pegasus that is shy and cute. Pinkie Pie, pink earth pony with hair like cotton candy and also always looking to party and have fun.

Twilight also mentioned they are the bearers of the elements of harmony, the very spirits of what friendship truly is. If anyone can make him better it would be them.

Twilight interrupts his thinking, "Tyler? Are you ok? Is there something on your mind?"

"What? Yeah I am fine. I was just trying to remember your friend's names."

"Ah I see. Well shall we continue with the tour?"

Twilight does not even allow Tyler to respond before continuing.

"This is sugar-cube corner. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Cake and Pinkie Pie also lives there. Here you can find sweets and candy beyond your wildest dreams."

Twilight continues to drag Tyler around, not even allowing him to understand his surroundings.

"This is Carousel Boutique. Owned by Rarity. She makes beautiful dresses for all the mares."

"This is Sweet Apple Acres. The food supply for ponyville. Here Applejack lives and works through the day."

"This is the town square. That large building is where the mayor stays."

The tour ends as soon as it began.

"Well here we are, back at the library. Did you enjoy?"

"Yeah I love this town already, even though you did go by pretty quick with the tour."

"Well I am a bit excited for something. You see my friends are going to return tomorrow and I got a great idea. Since we all represent friendship I'll have them teach you the ways of friendship and what it means. It'll really help you when you are ready to return home."

"That sounds like a great plan Twilight! I can't wait to get started on that," Tyler emits a loud yawn, "Wow I am tired. Let's hit the hay."

Twilight giggles at this, "Alright, there is a spare bed upstairs. Enjoy your rest!"

And with that Tyler is off to bed. Eager to learn about friendship and what is ahead.
