‘I wish I wake up in Equestria tomorrow.’
Ever heard of ‘careful what you wish for’? Well, I should listen to my own advice. I should’ve said ‘I wish I wake up as my OC in Equestria tomorrow’. But nope. Completely disregarded that. It was late last night, 11:11 to be exact, and everyone knows that’s when you make a wish on the clock.
It’s not like I really want to be my OC, too powerful and I’d draw too much attention to myself. But I shouldn’t’ve left it to chance. At least one of them, the other one not so much, I could get behind, like my robot one, not so much as… the other one.
I really don’t want to change the timeline too much, but I will do small things like… oh I’ll decide what’s small enough when I cross that bridge.
I saw the clock blink in it’s bright green color, then a rainbow swept over it from left to right.
‘Ha, maybe my wish will actually come true. Lawl!' I jokingly thought in my head.
In my head, I’m an optimist, but years of disappointments made it extremely easy to never show it. In fact, I have a hard time showing any emotion save amusement. I’m a very quiet introvert that I’m pretty sure is on the verge of social anxiety. It’s very hard to get a rise out of me and only the most consistent teasing will make me angry.
I’m extremely logical and analytical. I try to understand things at the smallest level possible. My extreme love for science, specifically engineering, all began with one thing my brother said that made me kinda angry. Well, for your information, I do know how to spell photosynthesis.
With that fresh dump of info out of the way I fell asleep.
In dreamland, which I can tell through a few signs, I was a pony.
‘At least I can dream of it.’
I’m on a hill, looking over a village, one I recognized as Ponyville. My dreams usually last only about two minutes at most and 15 seconds at least, so I better get a move on.
I’m a pretty bad lucid dreamer. Well, I can’t change the setting yet, but I can do things like levitation, specifically that kind where it only moves in 90* lines, like Halo 5’s forge in world movement type. I can move myself in dreamland like a boss, but I can’t affect the world around me unless I touch it, weird. Like one time I tried to freeze time and I had to touch someone and everyone in view froze.
I started walking towards the town, hoping to get there before my dream ended. Suddenly, I teleported there. Not like that’s uncommon in a dream, at least for me. I ended up right in front of Twilight. Since this is a dream, I can do whatever the fudge I want, as long as I can make it happen in the dream. But what I wanted to do had nothing to do with that.
I put my forehooves around Twilight and gave her the tightest hug I think would make even Pinkie Pie jealous.
“SO CUTE!!” Twilight didn’t move, as no one I ever focus on ever does. After I got tired of hugging Twilight, I let go of her and walked off. Next on my hug to death list is Rainbow. I haven’t mastered flying in dreams yet, but I can jump like there’s less gravity. There’s only one problem.
I don’t know where Rainbow’s house is.
Now, in your dreams, you might just make something up. But not in mine. My brain just loads a premade map, and if I don’t know where something is, it’s like something prevents me from finding it. So I just sat down hugging anyone who walked close enough. Now that I’m not focusing on anyone, my dream can move freely around. Derpy, Colgate…
“Does this mean I’m in Equestria now?” I asked to a dream Luna, who I could sense, since, you know, it’s my head, without turning around. There was no reply. I’ve dreamt of Luna before and I’ve asked that exact question.
‘Exactly like last time, I should wake up, right, about…’ I said as the dream faded away.
…
Nope. Nothing. No dreams. Not awake. I felt like… well I can’t really describe ‘nothing’ can I? It’s like this for several hours before I can start to feel, and my head feels like it got chopped off and then got it sewed back on.
It felt as if my brain accidentally locked me out of my own body and is desperately trying to unlock the door. It eventually found the key and I almost wish it hadn’t. It hurt, a lot. I could barely breath, I couldn’t move, I’m pretty sure my brain’s trying to get my heart to start.
It eventually found the key port and the pain mostly ceased. I was tired and fell asleep soon after.
Nightmare Moon just left Town Hall, messing up the celebration and capturing Celestia. Also making traps for the future Element bearers. Well on her way to her old castle, she spotted a large filly, most likely in her early teens, unconscious on the ground. Her dark purple coat and dark blue mane were ruffled with leaves and twigs and dirt, as if she fell through a tree.
Something about this filly made Nightmare drawn to her, to help her, something Nightmare couldn’t explain, like an itch in the back of her mind. She tried to ignore it, but when she tried to continue on, the itch got stronger.
Snorting in frustration, she picked her up with her magic and teleported the filly and herself in front of the hospital. The itch was less intense now, but still annoying none the less. That’s when several ponies came out the door and the itch vanished, and Nightmare continued on her way.
One pony told another something and she went inside as the others got the filly on a stretcher. The nurse sped down the hall and burst through the door to Dr. Horse's office.
“Doctor Horse! We have an unconscious filly in front of the hospital!” Said Doctor looked up from reviewing papers for… whatever the plot needs him to. Ok, joking aside, he was reviewing patient records for whatever reason.
Dr. Horse got up from the desk and went out, on the verge of galloping, through the hospital halls. He reached the doors where a dark purple filly lay unconscious on a stretcher, with a few nurses rushing through the halls to the first available room.
“Does anypony know her name? Anypony dropped her off? Check the records.” Dr. Stable said to the nurse who informed him of the filly.
“Nopony, and nopony. Will do,” she said before walking off.
Ponyville General Medical News June 21,1000
This morning, at 6:00, a filly was admitted into the hospital after being found right at the front door. Nopony knows where she came from or how she got there. No families or individuals have come to visit. It is unknown if she has a local family, as no records anywhere of her description were found. The filly suffered several disabilities and was unable to breath and had no beating heart. Doctors officially pronounced her dead at 6:22 AM. Suddenly, one minute later, at 6:23 AM, the first breath was heard from the filly. A doctor immediately checked her heart as it started beating. Doctors say it’s a miracle from Celestia herself.
Dr. Horse walked in her room for her first checkup. He checked/examined everything that a normal doctor would, this and that, that and this. But when he got to her mouth, that’s when things got interesting.
When he lifted the lip of the filly to check inside for anything out of the ordinary, ‘out of the ordinary’ is exactly what he got. Sharp teeth, or sharper than normal teeth at least, took the place of four of an Equine’s normal teeth. They weren’t exactly straight, and Dr. Horse noticed they looked a bit yellow. ‘Canines’ he knew they were called. He may not be a vet, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know a few facts about different animals.
Dr. Horse wondered if she was part carnivorous for a second, but quickly dispelled that thought. ‘She’s a pony, there’s no way she can be an omnivore. They must be for show.’
