Chapter 2 - Friendship's and More

Celestia knocked on the large door. I began to backtrack the path we took to get here. All of the twist and turns of the castle made me confused.

“Who is it?” A mare's voice called from behind it.

“Celestia and a very special guest.” Celestia responded as she smiled down at me. I smiled back and tried to keep my nervousness from entering my body. I then heard hoof steps get louder until they stopped and the door swung open. A pink pelted mare, an alicorn by the looks of it smiled at the two visitors. She had a multicolored mane that framed her face.

“What a pleasant surprise, I haven't seen you in a while Celestia.” The mare said. “And who might you be?” She looked down at me.

I smiled shyly and quickly hid behind Celestia’s legs. The mare chuckled.

I saw a yellow aura glow around me, instantly knew it was Celestia’s magic. She brought me out for the mare to see.

“Cadence, I would like to introduce you to Aladar Blitzguard.”

“Wow, If my studies have proven me well I’d say he is a Dracorn? I have never met one before, what a honor it is to be in your presents.” Princess Cadence said.

“I would still like to look more into what he is before we make any assumptions.” Celestia said as she left hold of me.

“Its nice to meet you, Princess Cadence.” I said managed to say.

“Oh, no need to be so formal. You can call me Cadence!” Cadence said with a big smile. All of a sudden her eyes brightened up. “I have a great idea, why don’t I show you around Canterlot!” Cadence then turned her head to look at Celestia and said “I bet you Celestia have some work you need to get back to, I’ll take care of him and we will be home before dinner.”

“That sounds like a great idea, what do you think Aladar?” Celestia asked.

“Okay!” I said.

“Have fun you two.” Celestia called out as she turned to walk down the hallway.

“Come inside, I need to pack up my saddle and we will be on our way.” Cadence widened the door for me to step through. The room was large, with white painted walls and big windows. A great big bed lay in the middle of the room as I walked in. As I stared in awe at the room, Cadence was quickly packing her back. In no time she was ready and they set out for the streets of Canterlot.

“Canterlot is so big, I don’t know what to show you first.” Cadence said as I took everything in.

We were now outside of the palace gates, the streets of the city were buzzing with ponies.

“Oh, that is my favorite restaurant.” Cadence pointed to a building that read ‘Canterlot Cuisine’ “and  that is the movie theater.” Cadence pointed across the street.

Hours went by and my hooves were beginning to hurt.

“Seems like it's time to go home.” Cadence said as she looked up at the large clock tower.

They made it to the steps of the castle just as the light began to fade.

“Look.”

Cadence said as she nudged me. I looked up to see what she was looking at. Celestia was in the air and rising the moon. Her horn was glowing bright the magic was wrapped around the large moon as it came up from the horizon.

My heart began to beat faster, my eyes widened. I had never seen such a thing.

“Ah just in time.”

Celestia flew down from the sky when she was done.

“I think Aladar is impressed.” Cadence chuckled.

Celestia smiled then said “Before we eat dinner I need would like you too meet Dr. Rain Beam, hes very excited to meet you.”

“Ok.” I followed Celestia as she led the way. Cadence was behind me. The doctor’s office was up quite high. I was in what looked to be an observatory. A stallion wearing a white lab coat that covered most of his light brown pelt. Small glasses lay on the bridge of his nose and his blue mane was all bunched up as he was shuffling through loose papers.

“Hmm. Where can it be?” The stallion muttered.

“Excuse me? Dr. Rain Beam?” Celestia said as they entered the room.

The stallion turned. “Ah, Princess Celestia, have you brought him?”

“Yes.” Celestia said as she ushered her forward.

“Ah what do we have here?” The stallion straightened out his glasses as he looked at me. “I have never seen anything like him.”

“I was hopping you could tell us what kind of species he is, I assumed that he is a Dracorn, am I right?” Celestia said.

“Yes you are correct, he is a Dracorn.”

The stallion asured her, then he asked me. “Who were your parents?”

“Cynder and Spyro.” I said nervously.

“Dragons.” The doctor said confidently.

“How do you know?” Celestia seemed surprised.

“The names of course, you wouldn't name ponies that would you?”

“Your right.” Celestia said with a chuckle.“If his parents are both dragons then how could he had possibly be a Dracorn?” Celestia looked at Dr. Rain Beam.

“I'm not sure. That's very weird that that happened.” He said. “Since he has a horn, let's see if he can use it.”

Celestia looked at me. “Can you use your magic?”

I shrugged. It never occurred to me that I had magic besides my fire breathing.

“How about you test it on this, let's see if you can move it.” Celestia said as she took a cup she found lying around and placed it on the ground in front of me. I stared at it. I wasn't sure of what I should do. I closed my eyes, and thought about the cup levitating. Imagined that it was soaring high into the air. The three ponies gasped. I opened my eyes and sure enough, the cup was levitating. Not high like I had thought but just a few inches off the marble floor.

“So as a Dracorn, he does have magic.” The doctor muttered. “I some time to study more about him, in the mean time teach him how to use his power and to controll it.”

“Thank you doctor.” Princess Celestia bowed. She turned to me and said.

“You heard the doctor, its time for your first lesson in magic.”
