It has been a while since Rarity last visited her Boutique in Canterlot. The last time she was there was when Sassy Saddles tried to use Rarity for her own doings, thus trying to take over the boutique.
Hopefully she hasn't done anything... Rarity thought as she levitated her suitcases out of the retrieval. The smell in the train station reminded her of the time she came to Canterlot, with the sweet aroma of perfume and the sweetening smell of tea, Rarity felt like she belonged once again in the royal city of Equestria.
Trotting happily down the street towards her boutique, she remembered the time when she clumsily ran into Fancy Pants. She giggled as the memory of Fluer Dis Lee, taking off the bag full of feathers, off of Fancy Pant's head popped in her mind. Quite an introduction indeed Rarity, She thought to herself, though if I do run into him this time it won't happen like that again!
The unicorn looked over her shoulder, checking on the colt who so graciously offered to help her carry her suitcases to the boutique. The colt carried the luggage on his back with such confidence Rarity almost gasped, usually the colts who offered to help worried about dropping something, but this colt just stared straight ahead with his back straight and face glistening.
Rarity smiled, and flipped her her hair as she looked forward again. Not long afterwards Rarity and the colt arrived at Canterlot Carousel, which was open and clearly booming with business!
The ponies that entered the shop barely left without a dress, and the colts that waited outside either had to go in the boutique out of curiosity, or to get their special somepony out of the shop to go somewhere else.
Rarity puffed her chest out in pride as she stepped into the boutique. Right at that moment she was welcomed by a tall unicorn with a blond mane and a half-tuxedo. Rarity immediately recognized this pony by how it was poised, "Hello... Prince Blueblood..."
Blueblood flipped his mane as he levitated a bag full of fabric, "Rarity? Oh my, it is... so good to see you," he cleared his throat and pointed to Sassy Saddles, who was taking care of the cashier, "I must say, you certainly have a good talent for hiring ponies."
Rarity's eyes widened, surprised at the sudden compliment, "Oh, why, yes... Thank you, Blueblood. Did you enjoy your visit here?"
"Why of course!" The stallion nodded to the big he was carrying, "I found so many things my fashion designer could make for me, I could wear a new tuxedo in many patterns!"
Rarity nodded, "Well I hope you have a good day!"
"You too Rarity! Keep up the good work!"
As the prince left the shop Rarity observed the shop, as she expected, Sassy Saddles still had the 'Princess Dress' for sale near the corner of the store. I'll have to tell her to throw that away, seems like it's not selling...
"Rarity! You made it!"
Sassy Saddles excused herself from the customers and made her way to Rarity. Rarity dipped her head in welcome and returned the hug Sassy gave her.
The white unicorn pulled away from the hug and walked to the cashier, "I do hope the business here is going well."
Sassy giggled as she followed, "Of course Rarity! Why wouldn't it?"
Rarity waved to the next customer in line while she positioned herself behind the counter, "Well, I have noticed that the 'Princess Dress' is still up for sale."
"Oh, those old dresses?" Sassy looked at where the dresses hung, "Those are only for ponies who still look for antiques in the old trends. Besides, you never know when a customer like that offers a little extra bits."
"Hm... Maybe if we made that corner an antique section for those kinds of customers?"
"Brilliant idea Rarity! I'll get started on that right away!" Sassy Saddles trotted cheerfully to the corner of the store and began rearranging the mannequins.
