Prologue
Charming Thunder and Rainbow were in the throne room after the show the Wonderbolts performed in Ponyville. He congratulated her for successfully joining the team, but it wasn't the real reason why she was here. "Thank you, Charming," Rainbow said. "I know I told you this before, but it was my dream of joining the Wonderbolts."
"Twilight told me," Charming Thunder replied. "But that is not the reason why I asked Spitfire to bring you here. Spitfire?" Spitfire entered the room and stood next to Rainbow. "Rainbow, you have been called here for a request I had ever since I returned from exile." His horn glowed and a badge (https://www.starwarshq.com/uploads/monthly_2015_11/star-wars-the-force-awakens-first-order-and-resistance-stickers-decals-insignia_28.png.db7e771577defb5e748b9ed7a47f2a9a.png) appeared and levitated to Spitfire to give Rainbow. "I offer you a place in the Wonderbolt Squadron as my wing mate for the war against the Mephiles Alliance." Spitfire gives Rainbow the badge as tears began to fall from Rainbow's eyes. "Will you accept?" Rainbow smiled and flew over to Charming Thunder to give him a tight hug.
"Thank you, Charming!! This is an honor really!!  I promise that I will not let you down." Rainbow broke the hug and saluted to Charming Thunder.
"If my brother were still alive, he would be proud of you." Charming Thunder's comlink beeped and he grabbed it to answer it seeing a hologram of a scientist pony.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry to disturb, your highness," the scientist said. "But we found 'him'." Charming Thunder's eyes widened.
"I'm on my way. Bring it to the Crystal Empire in the labs."
"Right away, sir." The transmission ended and Charming Thunder looked up to Rainbow Dash and Spitfire.
"What's going on?" Spitfire asked.
"They found the captain."
"Captain?" Rainbow said in confusion.
"Come. I'll explain once we get to the Crystal Empire." Rainbow and Spitfire followed Charming Thunder out of the throne room and prepared to depart.
Charming Thunder's shuttle landed at the crystal kingdom and Charming Thunder exited the shuttle along with Spitfire and Rainbow. They entered the building where the scientists work and arrived at a room to see a frozen earth pony holding a round shield (http://orig03.deviantart.net/4ef4/f/2016/128/b/9/captain_equestria__a_k_a_silver_boulder__by_malgus123-da1skbb.png) on the medic table. Charming Thunder was surprised to see the pony as he was familiar to him. "Is that who I think it is?" Spitfire said as Charming Thunder examined the frozen body.
"What do you mean?" Rainbow asked. "Did you know him?"
"The stallion who fought with the Wonderbolts. That's Captain Equestria."
Charming Thunder noticed a scientist approaching and asked, "How long will it take to thaw him out of the ice?"
"A couple of hours, your highness," the scientist replied. Charming Thunder nodded and walked up to Spitfire.
"Why did they find him in the Frozen North?" Spitfire asked. Charming Thunder looked away and closed his eyes for a brief moment. He then looked back at Spitfire with a sigh.
"He happens to be my ancestor named Silver Boulder," Charming Thunder replied. Rainbow and Spitfire gasped. "I heard from my mother that he was a legendary hero during the time Celestia and Luna used the Elements of Harmony to defeat Discord. That was when a league was made in his honor lead by Screwball; the daughter of Discord."
