“What was that?” I asked, getting out of my comfortable bed. Looking around my small room, I see my boring blue walls, a tan armoire, ad-hoc desk, bed with a laptop (with Shingeki no Kyojin paused), and the shelf with my two My Little Pony plusies. I turn to the door, assuming the light knocking sound originated from that location, even though I am home alone all weekend. When I open the door to my room, I see an empty hallway. “That was weird” I say, turning back towards my bed. As I turn, I catch a glimpse of the window. “WHAT THE HE- OW” I yell while falling backwards onto the wood floor. “Jesus, that hurt. Is that…. Twilight? No, no that can’t be.” I rub my eyes hard, still seeing the purple alicorn hovering outside my window with a smile on her face. As he was staring, she knocked once more. “Why the hell would Twilight be at MY window? No, on Earth at all?!”
I see her frown slightly, then appear inside the room with a flash of purple light. As she advanced towards me, I started scooting away. “S-s-stop, please” I stuttered out of fear. “What do you want, Twilight? Why are you here?”
“ I’m not quite sure myself, Mr…”
“Dante, my name is Dante…” I said quietly.
“Well, Dante, we appeared out-“
“We?! Wait, are the rest of your friends here, too” I questioned, quite puzzled at this point, the fear being replaced with excitement and anticipation.
“Yes, the rest of my friends are here. Now if you would let me finish, please. We appeared here after one of my teleportation spells failed. I went to the house directly in front of where we teleported to, which is this one” Twilight explained with a slight frown, watching me move slowly to the window to look outside.
“Oh my god, the rest are here” I muttered. Outside the window, I saw Rainbow Dash soaring through the air like a fighter jet. I also saw Fluttershy looking towards the window with a shy smile. Next to her stood Applejack and Rarity, looking at me with beaming smiles. However, I could not find the last one. “Wait, where’s Pink-“
“Hi there” Pinkie exclaimed, directly in my face.
“WHAT THE..! PINKIE!” I yelled, panting for breath. Pinkie frowned, lowered her head, and her hair flattened. “No, Pinkie, I’m sorry. You just scared me” I quickly responded, fearful I hurt her feelings.
“ Ok, Dante!” Pinkie said joyfully, back to her normal self.
“Wait, how do you know my....? Never mind. Alright, so what is your plan, Twilight” I questioned.
“Well, I don’t have one at the moment. I was hoping you would let us stay here for a while until I can get this figured out” Twilight responded with a slightly sad tone. "I apologize for not being able to give notice, as this was obviously an unplanned appearance."
“Don't worry about it, Twilight, I would always be happy to host you here! My parents are gone for the weekend, so I have the house to myself. I would be honored to have you all stay here.” I watched as Twilight smiled, then teleported down to the sidewalk outside. I saw her converse with the others, Pinkie somehow down there as well. I watched as all of them smiled towards Twilight, then up at me.
I walked downstairs to the front door, next to the steps. I opened it up and went over to them, smiling brightly. “Hello, my name is Dante! It’s nice to meet all of you” I said awkwardly.
“Howdy” Applejack responded heartily. I nodded.
“Hi” Fluttershy quietly murmured. In response, I smiled even wider.
“What’s up? My tricks were awesome, weren’t they” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Actually, they are pretty freaking awesome, Rainbow, never seen anything like it” I said quickly, trying to move on with all the introductions. I turned to Rarity last, greeting her.
“Hello dear” Rarity said, slightly scoffing afterwards at my appearance. Apparently she doesn’t like athletic shorts and a t-shirt for everyday casual wear…
“So, why don’t we go inside” I said.
“Okey-dokey-lokey” Pinkie said quickly, appearing suddenly in front of me once again.
“Gah! Pinkie, I asked you to not do that!” I said, most likely harsher than intended.
“Sorry!” Pinkie looked down once again.
“It’s okay, let’s just go inside, it’s a little chilly out here” I said, emphasizing with a slight shudder.
“Oh, cool! What is it?” Pinkie asked while staring at my upright piano, situated against a wall.
“It’s a piano, Pinkie. I’ll show you.” I opened it up, and started to play “We’ll Make Our Mark” as a warm-up, like always. Part way through, I was surprised when they started to sing their parts, making me suddenly stop.
“Hey, whatcha stop for” AJ asked. “I was just getting into it!”
“I’m surprised you know this song, it’s actually kind of creepy” Twilight stated with hesitation.
“Oh, sorry guys. I didn’t expect you to sing, I’m just so used to playing it solo. Let me start at the first chorus, where Pinkie will pick up after it’s done” I responded, fingers hovering over the keys.
“Wait, but that looks heavy! I can’t pick it up!” Pinkie giggled.
“Ok, Pinkie, you don’t have to pick it up. I guess you can just sing” I responded, also with a slight giggle.
Later, after playing for my new friends, we go to the kitchen to get some food. We are all talking to each other, when I suddenly hear a loud crash from upstairs, followed by a child's voice.
"What the hell" I say, quickly bounding towards the steps. When I reach the top and look in my room, I see my tan bookshelf on the ground, along with what looks to be a filly.
Author's Note
So I tried to put as much detail about my real home in here, including the piano. Yes, I do actually know how to play "We'll Make Our Mark" from the Crusaders of the Lost Mark episode. It's a very fun and almost bouncy song to play. Maybe I will record and upload it to YouTube soon, I'm not sure.
