She thundered down the hallway towards Celestias room. She knocked “Celestia!” “Luna?” She opened the door. She greeted her and asked what the matter is. “Uh, I need you to take the moon tonight” “Why whatever for?” “I am leaving to study with Twilight tonight, and I just wanted to say goodbye” Luna hugged Celestia, Celestia jumped at the sudden embrace, “You’re just going to Ponyville, It’s not like you can’t just come back tomorrow” “Yeah, bye Celestia” 7 hours later Luna stood on top of the balcony overlooking the mountain, she had to do this, it was the only way she could ensure the safety of Equestria, the violent wind slapped her face and her mane blew in the breeze as she looked down past the waterfalls. Were her efforts in vain? She could not help but think of all her loyal subjects, was this being loyal back? No, she had to suck it up, she was going to do this, and she had to. The glisten of the night struck the violet lake a mile west, and the fragile mountain to the north revealed many caverns. When Luna was little she always wanted to explore those caverns, but she never allowed to. She pulled her attention back towards the ground below, this was it, It was now time. All she had to do was JUMP Her whole life flashed past as she forced herself not to use her wings, everything seemed like it was going in slow motion. She saw the many homes of the ponies of Canterlot, and just on the horizon she could see a little dot that was ponyville. Her body rotated around as she looked at the stars, the beautiful stars shone brightly as if they were mocking her. She continued to fall as she turned her attention to the castle. Memories of Celestia and Luna playing as children echoed throughout her mind. She looked at the moon, the moon she had once loved handling, the sweet spherical embrace of her at night as Luna stared at her. She turned her attention back to the caverns on the mountain, the millions of cave like dots spread across the snow peaked mountains, the echoed memories across the bittersweet air into her ears. This was it, it was going to happen now. “I got ya” A warm embrace suddenly hit Luna with force. Luna looked up in confusion as she noticed Discord had caught her. She flailed out of his grasp and hovered near him. She panted heavily. She stared at the hybrid. Discord looked down at the ground. “Why would you jump?” Luna just stared and panted heavily. “I’m a disgrace!” “No, you’re not” “WHAT PROOF DO YOU HAVE?!” “You’re the most beautiful mare I have ever seen” Luna stumbled back a bit. Discord, admitting feelings!? He looked her dead serious in the eye. She stared back, they each looked deeper into each other’s gaze. Luna drifted off into the shame, remorse and pain in his eyes whereas he could see the shame, remorse and pain in her eyes. Luna, still entranced edged a little closer towards him, Discord did the same, and they stared into each other’s eyes for a few moments. She leant forward as did Discord, they both closed their eyes as they kissed. The moonlight lit up the two as they kissed in mid-air. Discord felt through her mane as she felt through his fur. They separated. “Discord, thank you” “Your welcome” They pulled into an embrace as they squeezed each other “Discord” “Yeah?” “I’ll make sure we don’t put you back in that statue ok” “Thank you” As the two embraced tears fell through Lunas eyelashes. “I love you” “Please don’t scare me like that again Luna” “I don’t know what I was thinking, all I really needed was some love” Discord started to drift up, he rested Luna on the balcony. “See ya tomorrow Luna” Luna waved at the slowly distancing figure. It felt like a dream, Luna collapsed on her bed, still smiling from the kiss with a permanent image of Discord in her mind. In the morning as Luna waked up she read the daily newspaper wich was sent to her suite by subscription, on the front page was the words Are the Gods of Night and Chaos in a relationship? And underneath the words was a blurry picture of their kiss. Lunas heart dropped, everyone knew now. Great. Discord emerged through the balcony “Hello dear” He said as he hugged Luna who was still staring in disbelief at the paper “How-How?!” She muttered to herself as she stared. Discord looked over her shoulder, his heart sunk. Yay (!) everyone knows. Luna threw the paper aside and pulled Discord into a kiss. “Might as well make this last while they are still only rumours” She said as she kissed him “You are amazing Luna” “As are you Discord, as are you” “Do you think we can go under the radar?” “I hope so” A new voice boomed through the conversation “I Hope so to sister” Luna looked over to the door and saw Celestia staring at them. “Please, don’t tell anyone sister” Luna pleaded “Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me, but tell me, is he a good kisser” “Yeah he is” Luna sighed as she stared at Celestia “Hey Luna, I rule Equestria, I can cover this up for you two, don’t worry” “Thanks sister”
