"Mother, Father I agree with Shining. We have to leave we don't have to move right now we have to go during the night that way no one can find us," said Dawn as she entered the room. " Mother are you up to a long journey we will be walking for days if your not up to it just tell Shining he will help you get the journey done."
"Fine if it will keep us safe we will go. Get packing we need to at least get prepared," muttered Soarin'.
"If you want Twilight we have an old baby saddle that is big enough to fit both of the twins," said Cadence."I could carry them for you if you'd like."
"That would be delightful thank you Cadence," replied Twilight. "It should make travel much easier for me."
"Mother are we going to stay with Spike and his family! I would enjoy seeing a dragon there lots of fun!" shouted Dawn from her room down the hall.
"We might, he could protect us if anyone came looking for Starlight and Sunshine. Protection is our main priority right now and until this all ends," her father cut in.
"I'll get warm blankets and, pillows, is that okay?," asked Dawn.
"That's fine sweetie, also grab saddle bags for you, Shining, and your father. Oh and before I forget grab some of the treats for Spike from the fridge and wrap them up while your father and Shining discuss our ummm... our situation," replied Twilight right before she fell into a deep sleep. Of course Sorin' and Shining don't exactly get along so this conversation wouldn't go so well and would turn into a fight very, very fast.
"So you're not married to Rainbow Dash? I always imagined you and her as a couple. Or is she not good enough for you?" said Shining rudely.
"How dare you say that! I love Twilight! Why else would I marry her?!" Shot back Soarin'
"Oh let's see you used Rainbow and broke her heart! You are nothing compared to twilight you're not worthy of her love you are pathetic!!!"
"That was the old me! I admit I did use Rainbow. I was pathetic and a jerk! But if I didn't do that Rainbow would have never met her true love besides that was over 5 years ago, I've changed! Everyone makes mistakes. Don't you know that?" replied Soarin'
"Rainbow was in love with you, she adored you! I don't want that to happen to Twilight too." yelled Shining
"Ever since she became an adult pony you have been protecting her from everything!" shouted Soarin'."Maybe we both are over protecting her."
"Your right let's call a trues this fighting isn't helping anyone," agreed Shining. After that bumped hoofs and helped Dawn pack while Shining's wife flew back to their castle and got the baby saddle for them.
A Dragon Reunion
"Shhhhhhhhhhh be quiet!!" whispered Shining.
"It's not my fault ! They're tired and cold," Dawn replied. "Could you carry them a bit Aunt Cadence?
"Of course i can," They switched saddle bags Cadence got the babies Dawn got the Saddle bag filled with the pillows.
"Soarin' get the blanket out of my saddle bag. Wrap it around them, please?" asked Twilight.
"Alright," replied Soarin',"They're you go guys nice and warm now." They walked in silence for a 2 more hours and finally reached the outskirts of Ponyville. "Well this is it, the next few steps will be our last in Ponyville. Ready?"
"Ready!" everyone said together.They walked into the forest that lay ahead of them and saw nothing but darkness Soarin' took to the sky to see ahead of them a lead them in the right direction to Spikes cave. On the ground Shining in the front, then Twilight, Candace, then Dawn. 10 minuets later the twins woke up and started to cry. Dawn got them to stop within a few minuets.
"You're good with babies Dawn," complimented Shining.
"Thank you Uncle Shining," replied Dawn.
Suddenly Soarin' came down and said "We're here!" He walked next to Twilight for a few minuets then said, "I'm sorry."
"What for? It's not your fault we are being chased. It's not anyone's fault," soothed Twilight.
"Never mind. Anyway there it is let's go come on!" he replied.
"Twilight!!! I missed you so much! How are you! Is Dawn with you?" asked Spike as Twilight and her family approached.
"Me too, good, and yes Dawn is with us and my new twins Starlight and Sunshine they are both Pegasus-unicorns but they look totally different from each other," replied Twilight happily.
"Who? You don't mean the twins! Are they the twins?
"What do you mean by the twins?" asked Twilight
A War
"We will get you! Even with your blasted Dragon we will still get you!!" yelled out Rarity with a sinister tone that wasn't hers. She was influenced by the darkness and so was Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy. Things were starting to turn into a tremendously huge problem. Actually before I said that things were a tremendously huge problem.
So anyway basically all of Twilight's friends were evil and trying to kill her and her family. For these specific pony's this is very peculiar behavior for them. Spike flew up into the air and shot fire at the sky then everyone went silent and looked at him as he yelled,"Leave us be! Twilight is your best friend. I know deep down inside you don't want to do this!" Twilight's proceeded forward. To stop them Spike made a wall of fire. Twilight and her family frantically ran to Spike's cavern for shelter from the cold bitter night.
"What are we going to do now?" Twilight cried. "The darkness has complete control over them! We can't get through to them at all!!" Suddenly they started charging and that's when they attacked Shining. "Shining! Nooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Rainbow Dash had hurled him into tree and he fell limp lying on the ground knocked out. Twilight's horn began to glow, "Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Suddenly a bolt struck the ground and it began to rain.
Twilight's fear was powering her magic making it stronger then ever! Dark clouds began to swirl around Twilight and then lifted her off the ground. Suddenly she saw Princess Celestia not the evil one the old Princess Celestia she was saying, "Twilight let the twins fight make them stand and then stand behind them and use your magic to attack,"
"Give me the twins, they will protect us," yelled Twilight."Now!!",The twins stood as Twilight's horn began to glow when the twins saw it they did the same thing only 10 times stronger the evil pony's were blown backwards as soon as it happened they took a run for the dragons layer.
Waiting
Twilight dreamed that night, she dreamed of The Darkness. It was in the form of a dark grey storm cloud. Suddenly she heard a voice,"You will not defeat me I always win always will always have. Ha ha ha!!!" She woke with a start. Everything seemed so peaceful the twins curled up next to her, Dawn sleeping next to Shining, and Spike with his tale curled around everyone. Soarin' was keeping watch, he just looked out into the distance, not even noticing Twilight was awake
Twilight walked over to him,"Hey, you okay?" she asked.
"You should go back to bed you need your rest,"he replied.
"So do you, come back to bed please,"Twilight pleaded.
"Someone needs to keep watch,"replied Soarin'
"Well your shift is over. I'll go wake up Shining," Then she trotted away towards Shining and Dawn. After Shining and Soarin' switched places Soarin' curled up next to Dawn, Twilight, and the twins.and fell into a deep sleep. When he woke up it was way past dawn. Twilight was crying softly
"Whats wrong?"he asked.
"They took Sunshine, during the night,"she sobbed. Sunshine being the older of the two was also the strongest and most powerful. She being only 2 days wouldn't know that they were trying to hurt her and her sister. "They left this note it basically said if they don't get Starlight to the Moon Stone by midnight they are going to kill her."
"This is all your fault!" Soarin' growled. He slowly turned towards Shining Armor. "You let them take my daughter. She is more powerful then any other pony. Even you Shining Armor. You are nothing more than a cocky piece if dirt." Anger seared through his body. "You were on guard. You were supposed to protect us,"
"How dare you. Ever since she became an adult I have protected Twilight and her sorry excuse for a husband," Shining Armor replied coolly.
"Stop! I will not sit by and watch my family fall apart," Twilight turned to her oldest daughter, "Dawn you will fetch Starlight. Soarin' you will stay here with Dawn. Shining, Spike, Cadence and I will take Starlight to the Moon Stone and retrieve Sunshine, "What do you mean I am to stay here? Why does Shining get to rescue my daughter my own flesh and blood while I stay here not doing anything,"
"Stop acting like a child Soarin'. I need someone to protect Dawn in case the desire to take her to,"
"Fine," he muttered. The family followed Spike out of his layer and into the dark forest.
Journey to The Moon Stone
The Journey to the Moon Stone
The ponies had to walk for six hours to reach the Moon Stone before midnight. They arrived at exactly eleven fifty-seven. "Thank Celestia we made it. Hellooooooooo!!!!!!!!! Is anybody there? Starlight where are you?!" yelled out Spike.
"Well, well, well look who finely decided to show up," said a voice in the darkness.
"Who's there? Where's my daughter? Why are you doing this?" asked Twilight.
"We were thinking that you didn't care about your daughter... we were just about to kill her," suddenly a pony emerged from the darkness. It was Fluttershy. "Give us the other one. We need both to succeed in our quest. But we were only able to get the one,"
"No. You will not use my daughters magic for evil. You said if I brought Starlight you would bring Sunshine and give her to me her mother. Now hand my baby over," Twilight demanded.
"Now here's the thing about the "bad guys" we lie. A lot. You obviously didn't know that you can't trust us,"
"Give me my child. NOW. Lets see if you remember what happened the last time you tried to take my children from me. Oh that's right my dragon friend here burned three of your own,"
"Is that supposed to be a threat? Not a very good one if you ask me. Now give me your other brat. You didn't even know about the prophecy until yesterday. I have been waiting for the prophetic twins to be born into this world," countered the demon inside Fluttershy.
"Leave us be. Just give my sister her daughter and we will not harm you. You have no idea what would happen if you used their power for evil," begged Shining Armor.
"Oh we know exactly what would happen. That is what we want to happen. That is what we need to happen," said Apple Jack as she approached the quarreling bunch.
"Please I am begging you. Give me back Sunshine! She needs me to help her control her magic," sobbed the weary mother.
Suddenly Spike let out a ear splitting screech. "Enough! I do not appreciate these games. Give us Sunshine she is of no use to you with out the other one," Spike turned to the whole group. He breathed in and then fire blazed from his throat. It shot upward towards the sky and scorched the tree tops. "Give me the filly!" he growled. His eyes were glazed over with the anger that burned with in his soul. Smoke emerged from the violet dragons nostrils. Spike was about to breath fire again when Rarity stepped forward in a panic.
"Alright! Alright! You can have her back," Fluttershy handed the babe over to Shining Armor who handed it to his little sister, Twilight Sparkle.
"You have not seen the last of us!! We will get them and concur Equestria!" yelled out Pinkie Pie as Twiight Sparkle and her family.
"We will not go down with out a fight" Cadence said.

Preparation
"Alright, we need to get these ponies ready for war," said Shining Armor when they approached there camp.
"Do we really need to do this now? I mean we just got back...we are all really rather tired," replied Twilight Sparkle yawning.
"Of course we need to do this now! Twiley I love you but could really ask that question now? They will not stop until we win or we lose," Shining stared at his sister in astonishment. "We need to deal with this now not later,"
"Okay," Twilight murmured a little embarrassed.
"Soarin' you will teach Sunshine to fly. Twiley and Cadence will teach Starlight how to control her magic," directed Shining Armor.
"Hold on who made you the boss of every one. Why isn't my wife the boss I mean she is the twins mother after all," commented the young father.
"My Celestia are you two ever going to stop fighting over who is in charge? We do not need this right now! We are preparing for a war. The enemy is out there not each other!" whinnied Cadence.
"I agree with Cadence. You two need to stop fighting. Soarin' just except the fact that Shining is in charge. I honestly don't care if you like it! You know what I don't like? The fact that we are all sitting here arguing, when we should be preparing Sunshine and Starlight for battle," Twilight paused to glare at the group before she grabbed her youngest daughter and trotted off to the field with Cadence.
"Sunshine come here. Do you want to learn how to fly?" the young filly nodded her head shyly. "Just like good old Dad?" Sunshine nodded her head more enthusiastically. The pair trotted off the north field with Spike at their rear.
"Spike wait!" hollered Shining Armor. "I have to speak with you before you go,"
"Yeah?" Spike answered? "Shining I can't leave them with out a guide,"
"I can take care of my daughter just fine on my own!" snarled Soarin' who continued to walk away from the dragon and his brother in law. At this point Soarin' did not care what would happen as long as he was away from his wife's brother.
Baby Trouble
"They are so cute sweetie," said Soarin'. As Twilight Sparkle lay in her bed 1 of her new born twins laying next to her, trying to decide on a name for her. While Soarin' sat next to her with his hooves wrapped around the other the other twin trying to decide on a name for her too.
"I have decided on a name for her. Starlight ." replied Twilight Sparkle.
"So have I, Sunshine," he whispered " Are you okay with that name,Twilight?"
"It's perfect Starlight and Sunshine the first pony twins of my and your family tree," said Twilight.
Suddenly Shining,Twilight's older brother, and his wife walked in they thought they came to congratulate them but said,"We have to move now! Ponies are looking for you, Dawn, Soarin', and the twins! Unless you want to loose them we have to leave Equestria! Now let's go!"
"She is no state to move and neither are the twins now get out! She is not a child anymore so stop telling her what to do and how to live her life!" yelled Soarin'.
"Father please stop yelling at Uncle Shining. You might upset Mother or the twins!" said Dawn calmly. "May I talk to him?"
"Fine, but you are not aloud to leave this house with anyone under the bad news he has brought us," replied Soarin' then he glared at Shining and left the room.
Shining's wife stayed with twilight to help with the babies when Shining and Dawn left the room. "Are you sure they are looking for us? When you married the princess no one was hunting for you," asked Dawn.
"Positive, but there is a difference between my family and yours I am the Princesses husband if they touch me, her, and our family they would be banished from Equestria. If they touch your family they can not be harmed,"
"But my mother is the sister of the future King of Equestria! It doesn't make any sense why they can't touch you but can touch me, the twins, Father, and Mother," replied Dawn sounding full of worry.
"I know it's not fair but it's the way things are and I can't change that," he replied.
"I don't want to leave I love it here in ponyville! It's not fair. Why does it even matter that Starlight and Sunshine are twins they're just like any other pony. It's not like there's some prophecy or something!" she said sounding annoyed.
"Actually there is. It says that twin pony's will be born into this world and save Equestria from total destruction," whispered Shining. " Do not tell your parents what I have told you. Okay?"
"Okay, I won't. Promise," she whispered back.

The Truth Comes Out
"You don't know? Your filly's are our savors the chosen ones! I assumed you knew i mean they are your daughters," replied Spike unaware that Twilight wasn't supposed to know about the Prophecy.
"Soarin', Shining, Dawn did you know about this?" asked Twilight uncertainty.
"Yes," all 3 said at the time. Then Dawn went off and said, "Shining told me not to tell you I don't know why what is the Prophecy Mother?"
"The Prophecy states that twins will be born into this world there powers not known. All of Equestria will hunt them until they are no more. If they do succeed the curse of darkness that has fell upon this land," replied Twilight. "I never thought it was real i always thought that it was a myth. I was wrong."
"That can't be possible! They're just babies they can't break a curse, if it is real all of Equestria will be trying to KILL Starlight and Sunshine?!" screamed Dawn. "That's mad you are all out of your minds!"
"Dawn just calm down.Would you rather be running for the end o your life or would you like to return to Ponyville? If the twins don't break this curse everyone will fall under the spell that includes you, me, Shining, Cadence, your mother," replied Twilight calmly, (but you could tell that she was freaking out on the inside.)
"How can I stay calm you just told me that my little sisters have to break a curse when they're barely a day old, I am calm!" she yelled back and then had a spaz attack.
Preparing 2 babies for a war with in a few days isn't easy even if the babies have magic powers that no one can defeat. Plus you have to also prepare yourself for a war. A war that can last any ware from a few days to more than a life time.

"No not like that! Pay attention and stop playing with that butterfly! Ughhhhh!" Soarin' looked at his new pupil and was very disappointed.
"Daddy I don't want to do this any more! Can we please do something else?" complained Sunshine.
"No we can't do something else! I told you that ten minutes ago. Now keep practicing! I'm not going to tell you again," retorted the annoyed father.
"Fine! You're so mean!" Sunshine stomped off to other side of the field and flapped her wings. "Ow!!"
"Sunshine are you okay? Get up Sunny! Sunshine?" yelled her father. He swiftly ran over to his crying daughter.
"Daddy my wing hurts. Can we take a break now?" pleaded the young filly.
"No we can't take a break because I think you broke your wing,"
"WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" shrieked Sunshine. "But Dad if my wing is broken then I can't fight the darkness,"
"Who told you about the darkness? I bet it was no good rotten uncle. He has never known his place," said Soarin'.
"I over heard Mommy and Aunt Cadence discussing how Starlight's progress and thinking that it was time Uncle Shining showed her some battle moves to fight it. They also spoke about how I wasn't progressing that much and not getting any better..." whispered the disappointed filly.
"Oh Sunny, you are the daughter of a past Wonder Bolt! Flying is in your blood. You know when I was your age I couldn't even get off of the ground with out crashing," a slight chuckle escaped from his throat. "Flying comes with practice its only your fifth day,"
"But magic comes so easy to Star! Its not fair! I want to progress too. I have been trying my hardest really, but I still cant even get of the ground for more than a minute!" As Starlight continued to wallow in self pity her father was thinking of ways to comfort her.
