In a time when the world was green and beautiful, and life grew in abundance and prosperity. Two beings ruled over the planet with gentleness and patience, a mare of pure white with a mane of blue and black. And her mate, a black dragoness the size of a mighty oak tree, whose heart only felt compassion and love for all who knew her. The mares name was Aria, and her mate, was named Iana, they are considered to be the first gods among pony kind.
Aria is the mother of kindness and life, her role was to oversee the growth and prosperity of her planet, to ensure all who lived and grew there would be taken well cared of. Her mate, saw things a little differently. She was a dragon after all, her head was not always where her heart should be. Often times, she would sneak off in the late hours of the morning and would hunt as a vicious, bloodthirsty animal.
The two had their differences, and often times was the case that the later party would storm off in search of solitude. But they stayed together to watch over the world. As some myths go, they were born of the stars, overseers to a new and vibrant world. In the beginning, there was much fire and destruction and the world was a black scar in the universe.
Aria's heart burned with a passion for life to prosper and to thrive. So, one day, she took a mighty breath and breathed onto the world to cool it, making the dirt fertile and green began to sprout. She shed some of her blood to let the waters form and heavy rains fall upon the forming world, her love for beautiful and bountiful plants gave birth to a new being.
Ponies. They were her children, her very blood and love mixed together and formed to create a perfect race.
But, as gods go, she grew restless and longed for companionship. So, she took a dieing oak tree and began to twist and gently shape the wood into a new creature. Strong wings, large muscles, beautiful features. A perfect combination of terror and beauty in one creature.
She gave the hollow wood a kiss of life and the creature became a living being. A dragon, a powerful and large beast capable of burning whole cities to the ground. And yet had the heart to forgive and forget about all the atrocious things that had happened to them. In time, the beast had grown to trust, even love the gentle mother.
Eventually the two bonded, mind and soul, and became the rulers of the world. But, as all things do, they had become lonely in their long life times.
They had grown lonely without the company of children of their own.
Many seasons passed before the two had sired a daughter, whose name means 'mother of galaxy'. Galaxia, a young mare whose coat was a shiny black, her mane a starry night sky with a gentle breeze always though it. Her eyes a gentle purple, and she was the first of a new line of race, an alicorn. Not long after her tenth year of her birth, the mother had become pregnant again, much to the ecstatic excitement of their daughter.
Many seasons passed before the mother gave birth, her first son, a new race of being.
A draconaqius, a race of mischievous and playful creatures who love what they do and aren't afraid to show off. His name, meaning 'lord of chaos' was Discord. Small, and yet very strong like his dragoness mother. The second of the two, a small, weak little thing, barely able to stand on his own four legs, was a centaur. His race is very... Unique and unknown to the modern world, but he will blossom into a prince worthy of the throne.
Both mothers had agreed to call him Tirek, meaning 'he who leads'. But only time would tell if he would stand up to the task.
As the two watched their sons take their first steps, an overwhelming sense of pride overtook them. They had become the proud parents of not one, but two sons to carry out their legacy. Iana brought her sons close to her chest, smiling proudly. "My sons... My first born sons... My legacy..." The boys looked in awe a their parents and smiled for the first time.
The first of the royal families to come had been started, three children, one daughter and two sons. Only time would tell if his family will stay together, or drift apart.
