They come in two versions. Majors and minors. Majors are the full grown adults, and the minors are the babies. Ursas are huge creatures. A minor is about two stories talk. Not much else is known about these creatures since they are more dangerous than a timber wolf. Ursas usally act like a normal bear. They are know to live in caves. We are not sure what they eat, but it is know that minors can drink milk, but that is all the information we have on this subject. Perhaps new info will be uncovered in the future. //-------------------------------------------------------// 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// 3 Bugbears Bugbears are another bear-like creature. They look like a cross of a panda and a bee. Their stingers hold a venom that could kill a dragon. Bugbears come into towns where the foals have been bad. They will try to destroy everything you love to teach you a lesson. Bugbears are very rare. They are as big as a ursas minner. Much like the ursas, there is not much else is know about this creature, and we will update this article whenever new information will be found. //-------------------------------------------------------// 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// 4 Timber Wolves Timber wolves are what the name implies. They are wolves made from sticks and logs. They are ferocious beast. Of you see one your best net is to just get as far away from them as possible. They normally love in packs. It is very difficult to kill timber wolves. The best way is to use fire. They have horrible smelling breath. That is due to there diet of animals and their insides being subdued to wood rot. If they are broken apart they can put themselves back together and can even fuse with other timber wolves to become a bigger one. They live exclusively in dense forest. They are very territorial. If you see scratches on trees and they have a horrid stench, it means you are in their territory. It is best to get out of there as quick as possible. Timber wolves are a force to be reckoned with. //-------------------------------------------------------// 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// 6 The Nighmare Also known as the thantabus, The Nightmare is a creature made of pure dark matter. It is what causes nightmares. It travels from dream to dream turning them into nightmares. It can go into the physical plane and poses a host to do it's biding. The Nightmare was created by Princesse Luna. She was able to control it for a while, but she had a hole in her heart. That gave it a chance to poses the princess. The Nightmare has not been seen for some time. Some say it was destroyed. Others say it is in hiding, working up it's strength to try another plot for world domination. Whichever one it is, we are sure that Princesse Luna has it under control. At least for now. //-------------------------------------------------------// 7 //-------------------------------------------------------// 7 Water Serpents Water Serpants are reptile like creatures that love in water. They are distant cousins of dragons. Unlike dragons, they are more easy going and kinder to others. They live mainly in rivers and ponds. There has not been many sightings of them. They are normally around 30 feet long, but they are of no threat to anyone. Their diet consist of fish, but they can eat normal good like dragons can. Water serpents are more fragile than dragons. They can also grow hair, which they groom regularly. They can be a bit of a drama queen, especially if their hair is messed with. Unlike most creatures in this book, they are safe to be around. //-------------------------------------------------------// 8 //-------------------------------------------------------// 8 Chimeras Chimeras are a mix of animals. They have the body of a tiger, the heads of a tiger and ram, and the snake for the tail. Chimeras live in the fire bogs of East Equestria. If you ever find urself going through the fire bogs, make sure to bring a snake flute, a chunk of racota cheese, and a lion's tamer chair. It is the only way to protect yourself. Chimeras usually fight with their "siblings" that are a part of their body. This would give you a chance to escape. //-------------------------------------------------------// 9 //-------------------------------------------------------// 9 Windagos Windagos are horse-like wisp of wind and snow. They feed on the haterid and anger of ponies. They cause terible blizzards that are impossible to control. One storm almost wiped out all life in Equestria. The only way to make windagos disappear is to show love and friendship. They are basicly reverse changelings. There have not been any sightings of these creatures in over a thousand years, but their impact on the world was so horrible that we have a while holliday detacated to this historic event, which we today call Hearts Warming Eve. //-------------------------------------------------------// 10 //-------------------------------------------------------// 10 Phoenix Phoenix are birds made of fire that never die. When a phinoix seems sick, it just means that it is preparing to be reborn. When a phinoix is reborn, it burst into flames and into a pile of ash. Then it reforms with all new feathers, and looks healthy than any other day of its life. They live on the outskirts of the badlands. Dragons are know to terrorize their nest. Phinoix are very noble pets. They will follow their owners to the ends of the world. Their feathers are also very valuable and are used in clothing. If you are lucky enough to see a phinoix in the wild, you will be blessed with a happy life. Yet another reason these birds are admired. //-------------------------------------------------------// 11 //-------------------------------------------------------// 11 Diamond Dogs Diamond Dogs are mutant talking dogs that hunt for gems. They normally inhabit gem fields. It is guessed that they only want gems because they are shiny. Diamond dogs are not very smart, but they are capable of speech and use tools. They don't care for ponies or other creatures for that matter. They live in packs and are normally ran by a alfa or alfas. They have amazing digging skills and use this for an advantage on a fight. Diamond dogs are know to break into violence with one another over silly disputes. Diamond dogs won't normally mess with ponies unless it involes getting more gems. To protect yourself from them, bring a dog whistle whenever you go to the gem fields, or something that can give out a high piched whine on command. //-------------------------------------------------------// 12 //-------------------------------------------------------// 12 Cragledile The cragledile is a crocodile made of rocks. Very similar to how timber wolves are made of sticks. Craglediles live in the Everfree forest. It is unkown what these creatures eat, but it is guessed that they eat fish and stones. They normally live in a swampy area. The cragledile's behavior is basicly the same as a regular crocodile. They are hard to find, but if you see one, keep your distance. They are normally in groups called hives, controlled by a Queen. The hives are full of drones, under-queens, and workers. They are hatched by eggs hatched by the queen. The drones go out to collect love by transforming into the pony in which the host is in love with. It is almost impossible to detect who is a changeling. They could be sitting right next to you and you wouldn't be the wiser. Now it should be said that most changelings won't drain you to the point of exhaustion. They will most likely get what they need and go. Although in some cases it has been know for a changeling to drain you so you are week, but that tactic is manly used in battle strategies for invasions. Without love a changeling will parish. They don't need love entirely. They can sustain for some time with other good emotions, but it will only delay their demise unless they find a source of love. It has been recently know to see some changelings within your town. Do not panic. There is probably a wedding or some special occasion happening. They will fill up on love and leave. It is best to leave them alone. New evidence says that changeling are known to get aggressive when at the point of starvation. Changelings however are aggressive by nature. They are capable of speech and transforming into a number of creatures. They are capable of surviving in almost any climate. Be sure to be careful when there has been a changeling sighting. A good indication of a changeling is in your town is if a changeling is sighted, and shortly after you see somepony new walking around. //-------------------------------------------------------// 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// 5 Dragons Dargons are humongous reptile like creatures that come in many shapes and sizes. A size of a dragon is shown by how much greed they have. The more greedy the dragon, the bigger it is. Dragons eat gems, but they can digest normal foods and still be alright. Most dragons have wings, but there are some who grow wings as they mature, and in very rare occasions, don't grow wings at all. The dragons migrate every year from the West to the East. Their destination is the badlands, a crater full of volcanos and lava pockets. Dragons have very thick scales which allow them to withstand the heat of lava, and give them a armor like outside. Dragons can also breath fire. The color of said fire is different for each dragon. Dragons have been know to live in clans and are ruled by one alfa dragon. Although some dragons prefer to be alone. The loner dragons usually live in caves that are inside a mountain. Dragons are capable of speech, but there are known to be arrogant and rude. They do not care for ponies or any other creatures for that matter. Dragons are not to be messed with. Things can and will go ugly.
