Sunny sighed in watching his breath mixed with the frigged air. Walking around half way to Canterlot and what has brought him out on such a night lets go back and see.

~earlier that day~

AppleBloom rushes in excitedly yelling "ITS HEARTHS WARMING EVE" Sunny lets out a chuckle and tilts his head "what's the big deal with hearths warming that's got you all excited" Applebloom gasps " Sunny your kidding right we've be talkin bout all month." Sunny quickly replies nervous. "well I haven't been paying much attention to anything" AppleBloom sighs and starts to explain hearths warming. "The end now do you understand sunny." Sunny gets up and quickly trots out the door looking for a gift for AJ.

~back to the present ~

Sunny walks around looking as more and more stores close. He has his sattle bag full of gifts for everyone but AJ. He wanted no he needed her gift to be special to show how special she is to him. The sun slowly rises and sunny walks back to the farm failing his quest.

Then a wall eyed mare stops him "aww what's got you so down mister its hearths warming the happiest day of the year." Sunny mumble just loud enough for her to hear "I couldn't find the perfect gift for someone special." The mare thinks and giggles "sorry I didn't mean to laugh my name is derpy and well, I laughed because perfect gifts are ones from the heart."

"Just put thought into it and the one you love will never be disappointed." Sunny tilted his head and spoke "I never thought about it like that my name is sunny thank you very much." A scarf falls out of derpys bag "oops I made it for the doctor maybe you can make one for who ever special pony is."

"Yes yes your brilliant absolutely brilliant derpy thank you." Sunny leaves running to the shed and smiles as the roasters wake up the rest of the farm. Sunny puts the gift in a box and puts everything under the hearths warming tree.

AppleBloom smiles and looks at all the presents smiling. The family walks into the kitchen to eat breakfast as twilight and the rest of the gang walk in to exchange gifts smiling. AppleBloom had given sunny a new hat and big Mac gave him a book to write spells in.

Sunny tapped AJ and gave her a box as Aj opened the box a necklace with a applecharm shined in the light. "thanks sugar cube y'all bein here was gift enough." "well your the apple of my eye AJ." Pinkie threw mistletoe in Sunny face and AJ gave Sunny a small kiss and they all partied til sunset.
