When AppleJack goes missing, Rainbow Dash finds that the Mane Six behave strangely, and other ponies see her as a orange pony with tentacles as a cutie mark. Her mental health slowly deteriorates as she finds out exactly who killed AppleJack, in ways that are too grotesque to describe. Only Pinkie wakes up and supports Rainbow, and she helps Rainbow admit to herself... who exactly she is. Pinkie and Rainbow support each other when the two find the roots of Princess Luna and Celestia , and 12 young fillies and colts from around Equestria make the slightly crazy group come together as they start to slowly awaken the Mane Six from the illusion that Equestria is even remotely safe.
