Thunderhead was unique in his own way. His uniqueness was not his special talent, no, but in fact his physical appearance. His dark gray coat and silver maned comb-over was overshadowed by his size. This Pegasus was approximately ten times bigger than the average earth pony. This made him an outcast and pony society. Luckily for him Thunderhead found solace in a small group of plane ponies, his friends.Though he has not known them long, thunderhead has grown attached the group of misfits.
Blitz, Skybreaker, and airliner Stay clear of thunderhead's wing beat. Though the three are strong flyers they could easily been knocked from the sky. Blitz was bored and she felt it was her duty to inform the rest of the posse.
“Ugh, why did we come to this valley anyways. It’s so dull here” The A-10 bemoaned. “It’s not like there is anyone here to admire how awesome I am-”
Skybreaker cut in. “To be honest that would not even be possible in a crowd. You're unimpressive.”
Blitz’s eye twitched slightly as she shot a fiery glare towards Airliner “And why did you invite her!?” She inquired, pointing to skybreaker. “You know she ruins everything!”
Skybreaker rolled her eyes. “The only thing I ruin is your perception of how great you are. Which is not great at all.” She said with a scoff.
“Actually I don’t remember inviting her. Just you, Blitz..” Airliner’s response was neglected for the most part. Thunderhead seemed to be the only one who heard her. Blitz and Skybreaker were already deep and heated argument.
Airliner gave an ill contented sigh. "I don't know why they always have to fight like this. Why can't they just be friends?"
Thunderhead response to airliner quietly, as to not draw attention from the other two. "Perhaps this is the nature of their friendship."
Airliner gave thunderhead a worried look. "I'm not so sure about that." She then looked back to the two bickering planes.
Blitz spun around and pointed it hoof at thunderhead. "I challenge you to a race. The winner will be crowned champion of this valley."
Thunderhead's eyes shifted nervously. "uh, I politely decline."
Skybreaker gave a chuckle. "See? He knows you are much too slow for him. It would be no contest so he spares see the humiliation of losing by not competing." A most devious grin consumed Skybreaker's muzzle.
Thunderhead raise his two forehooves in a submissive gesture. "That’s not what I meant at all.
I just don’t want to compete with anyone.” Before he knew it Blitz dashed over to his person and began gnawing on one of his hooves.To thunderhead's dismay Blitz's efforts were quite effective. Though she was small her sharp teeth caused thunderhead a great deal of pain.With minimal effort he brushed Blitz off of his person. "What is a big deal-" before he had a chance to finish his sentence blitz had began kicking at his forelegs.
Fighting the urge do anything drastic, thunderhead quickly leaned back and gave his wings in mighty flap. The whirlwind created sent Blitz flying into a nearby cloud. Skybreaker attempted to contain her laughter poorly.
Feeling like he alienated himself, thunderhead descended into a nearby ravine. Gently landing in a river surrounded by lush foliage he let the cool waters rush around his hooves. The tall trees concealed him or the most part. This always comforted thunderhead. Hard to stand out when everything is the same height.
After a few minutes of wading in the river thunderhead felt more relaxed. It also gave Blitz time to cool off. At least that's what he would like to assume. Airliner soon emerged from the brush a bouquet of flowers she had just collected. It was easy for thunderhead to notice her due to her sky blue colors. "I'm sorry you're having such a bad day. I hope this will cheer you up." She offered the bouquet up with a hoof
Taken aback slightly by the gesture, thunderhead gave a soft smile. "How thoughtful of you airliner." Craning his head down thunderhead stuck a bit of his tongue out and caressed the bouquet into his mouth. It was tasty yet hardly a mouthful. What he did not notice was airliners heavy breathing.
"No problem… I would do anything for a friend." Airliner said with a flutter of her eyes. Airliners eyes were the only thing that fluttered, she could feel her heart going crazy as she finished her sentence.
Before thunderhead had a chance to respond the two rivals had descended upon airliner and the abnormally large stallion. "A-are you being sweet on him!?” Blitz spat out in disbelief.
Airliner gave an 'EEP' and flushed at the accusation. "It's n-nothing like that! I s-swear-" before she could finish Skybreaker interrupted the shy mare.
"My my, that was quite smooth. Isn't he a little large for you darling?" She said with a coy smirk. At this point airliner had collapsed and took refuge underneath her hooves. Her once pale cheeks now bright red.
