Wirewolves: Their Past Revealed
Part One: The End of the Beginning has Come
Previous ChapterWirewolves were an advanced species. They had spent several centuries evolving learning to care for each other, which had leaked into caring for other beings no matter the species. Wirewolves had quickly hypothesized and confirmed the idea of multiverse theory. They had began developing an empire of peace throughout all worlds which could've spread beyond the ideas of mortal men or wolves. However all great civilizations meet their downfalls.
It came in the form of a species of pure evil and strife, the Kugara, who's reputation was quite opposite of the Wirewolves. They made their way to the Wirewolves and oppressed them killing all that opposed them, women, children, it mattered not, if it brought a smile to any of their faces they did it.
Finally one day, the day of justice had come. But also the day of terror.
Varu fell to his knees in pain from the chains to which a Kugara walked towards him. He was the pinnacle of their physique built like a fotress under his black reptilian skin with a gold rib cage like shell, signifying his rank among his species and his dominance.
“Up slave.” He said, his voice monstrously deep.
“N-no…” Varu replied feeling her mind begin to strain as the Kúgara began to beat her as had as he did before, and the time before, and ever since they enslaved her race. “I would recommend rising Slave, I’m beginning to form a reason you should be on your knees.” He kicked her in the stomach causing her to fall flat on her stomach.
Something snapped.
“I will order again, do as your told and get up Bitch.”
“That’s not my name.” Varu replied getting up facing the beast. The Kúgara snarled bringing his hand back to slap her, only for her to catch it, her claws digging into his arm as he stared into her eyes, fading from their peaceful blue, into a hate filled red.
“Say my name.” Varu demanded flipping the Kúgara to the ground then pummeling him as well, tearing off his arm. “I said say it!” She yelled beginning to claw him up. “SAY IT!” She roared something else taking control.
“V-Varu!” The Kúgara shouted to which Varu grinned bringing her claws up. “Good.” She then tore in him tearing his flesh apart with her claws and canines ripping apart his shell like paper. When she was done, Varu looked at her blood soaked hands as something seeped into her mind: it was easy to kill him, why hasn’t she done this before? It felt so good to do it. Varu smiled clenching them as she looked to the camp, smiling as she made her way towards it.
Varu’s hate fueled actions cause a butterfly effect across the planet, dozens of Wirewolves began to kill just like her, and soon fell into the darkness, killing dozens of Kúgara in their wake. They realized that the Kúgara were only so powerful because they allowed themselves to be conquered by them, thinking that something would come to save them, but nothing did, so they took the matter into their own hands. The Kúgara were as strong cowards as they were enslavers, and many began to retreat off planet to any of Filum Lupus’ moons. Many Wirewolves however caught on to their escape and stopped them taking control of their ships, learning how to fly them from all the time they were taken with them off planet for selling or maintaining control across galaxies. The Wirewolves took all the territory from the Kúgara, killing every single one that tried to escape as they flew for the Kúgara home world, razing the entire planet and ripped apart their emperor like a rag doll.
Justice had been served, the Kúgara were eradicated from existence, and the only things left of hem being the horrid memories along with their technology and structures. But there was something in the Wirewolves that changed them; they didn’t just want the Kúgara dead.
They wanted everything.
The Wirewolves began to kill and take what they wanted, until a group of them who could think through their bloodshed took full control and established a monarchy enslaving dozens of species under their reign.
For thousands of years they ruled, conquering what they could and preventing countless coups to stop the bloodshed, that is, the Vilks Dynasty…
Howl slept soundly in his bed, dreaming of a world where the bloodshed didn’t happen because the Kúgara never came. Then he heard a crash startling him awake. Howl ran downstairs and found several Wirewolf Royal Guards approaching the blue-eyed Wirewolfess.
“Lupine! Get away from her!” He yelled before a Royal Guard smack him in the face with his spear then put his foot on his back keeping him down.
“Valiant effort Howl.” A Voice said walking through the broken door. It was a Male Wirewolf with a long and blood red cape, wearing a crown made of bones and his shell was a royal gold. It was Emperor Vilks, ruler of the entire Wirewolf Empire. “But it would be wise not to go against the command of your ruler.”
“What command?”
“Oh have you not heard? I am looking for a wife to bear my legacy when the time comes. But many a Wirewolfess that I’ve seen just don’t cut it for me, then I remembered my Grand Royal Vizier, Direwolf, your uncle if I’m not mistaken, told me of his nephew, and how he was a lucky dog landing ‘the hottest female in the entire galaxy, if not all of Filum Lupus.’ And then it hit me, I need a wife that can look great by my side.” Vilks walked to Lupine, getting close to her causing her to lean back in disgust, as Vilks sniffed her neck with a smile. “And based on her scent I can tell she can have a bountiful generation.”
“She isn’t yours Vilks.” Howl said managing to push himself up the ground getting the Royal Guard’s foot off him. Vilks snapped his fingers and several royal guards grabbed Howl and held him by the arms. Vilks pulled out a dagger from his side and approached him.
“You’re right, so this is her choice: If she chooses me, you get to live. If not,” Vilks stabbed Howl in the chest causing him to scream in agony before Vilks took the blade out.
“You both can die with each other.”
“D-don’t do it Lupine!” Howl yelled before Vilks stabbed him again.
“I had Direwolf clear my schedule Lupine I can do this all day.” Vilks said as he repeatedly stabbed Howl.
Lupine looked on with tears growing in her eyes as Vilks continued to stab Howl over and over again until finally. “I’LL DO IT!”
Vilks stopped stabbing Howl looking at her surprised then stabbed Howl one more time before his guards dropped Howl to the floor. “Now that wasn’t so hard was it?”
Howl looked up at Lupine with tears in his eyes and Vilks laughed. “I admire how you can take a stab Howl. Tell you what, as compensation for the stabbing and the gift of my new wife, I’ll make you the new Lieutenant Colonel.”
“But that’s my rank.” A guard brought up to which Vilks shot him in the chest with his arm that converted into a blaster and back.
“Now with that settled, come Lupine, we need to discuss your duties as my wife.”
“Goodbye Howl…” Lupine said in sadness walking out with Vilks.
“Lupine!” Howl yelled trying to run for her only for a Guard to knock him down.
“Almost forgot. Meet your new escort Greg, he’s fun. Also if you try and come for her I’ll kill you both without a second thought.” Vilks shouted getting onto his ship flying off to the capital.
Howl could only look on before he began to cry softly to which Greg patted him on the back.
“I lost my wife to that asshole. If anyone’s got your back. It’s me.”
Howl found a little comfort in this, then made a vow inside he would complete. ‘I will reunite with you Lupine. I swear it.’
Years past since Vilks took Lupine from Howl. Howl focused his anger into his work, rising through the ranks landing on Vice General of The Fleet known as the Phantom of Merciless Razing, 3rd in the Wirewolf Fleet, only behind the Fleet of Unwavering Hell and the Royal Wirewolf Armada Fleet, known as the Will of the World Breakers. He lead many campaigns capturing dozens of planets not killing a single soul and not losing one as well, even personally seeing to the ground battles, putting himself in harms way for his troops, listening to their problems and helping them, earning a fleet of undying loyalty as well.
Howl sighed sitting in his command chair as he looked at the territory he had taken ‘in the name of Vilks.’ Greg walked into the room and looked at his employer. “What’s wrong?”
“What do you think?”
“Thinking about her.” Greg answered with a frown.
“Everyday after a battle, I think about Lupine, her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, the way she told me how Alpha’s just busy. She said she heard that Alpha had created twin sisters for another race to guide them seeing their potential in the grand scheme. I cared, but I considered her more important to me than Alpha.”
“Wow. I didn’t know. I mourned for my wife, but I moved on, now I feel like a douche for asking.”
“It’s not just Lupine. It’s Vilks and his whole crusade. The Kúgara have been dead for millennium, this is just meaningless bloodshed. I refuse to stand for this.”
“What can you do? Vilks could have you and your whole bloodline killed behind the scenes. I should know, I was there at the executions.”
“The crew has my back, I’m going to announce my plans, and well begin gathering allies across the empire. When we have enough to back us u, we take the fleet’s then go for Filum Lupus.”
“I have a bad feeling about this Howl. It’s suicide to try this.”
“Vilks committed suicide the day he took my wife.”
The Palace of the Wirewolf empire sat in the middle of a mountain with a crater in it, rumored to be the landing site of Alpha on Filum Lupus, with many houses for the work and guards surrounding it, the only entrance a part of the crater demolished to allow trade inside and out and a view of the Palace giving it a otherworldly vibe. Inside the palace in the center of the palace, Vilks sat on this throne with a smile. Lupine was in her chambers, luckily not cussing any trouble so he didn’t have to strike her again today. He snapped his fingers and from the large throne room doors walked a Wirewolf with several scars across his body, his right hands wire instead connected magnetically.
“Greetings Your Excellency.” He said bowing.
“Good to see you Direwolf, how goes the empire across the multiverse?”
“Good, some of the provinces are complaining but the complainers have been quickly silenced as per your orders.” Direwolf replied.
“Excellent, and the fleets?”
“Up to date with the agenda of what worlds to conquer. How goes the tests? Will I be seeing another little pup running around the palace?”
Vilks frowned as the question. “You very well know the answer, this is supposed to be working but the tests show that my chances of having a child still aren’t even a whole number.”
“Now now My Liege, don’t stop trying, if you can get it to at least 10%, you only need one all day session to get one child. I know you wish for another child but don’t you think little Talon is doing just fine by herself, she’s barely adolescent and already she’s figuring out how most of the ships work.”
“I can tell she’s meant to conquer worlds, not lead an empire. Enough about my problems, how goes Howl? I’m keeping up on my promise if he tries to get his wife back I’ll kill them both.”
“Excellent, his Naboo and Mustafar campaigns are a success. With the volcanic resources of Mustafar and the hydroelectric potential of Naboo, our Fleet construction efficiency will effectively triple once both of them have been moved out of their universe and placed outside the rim of our solar system.”
“Now that’s good news.” Howl said with a smile. “With those supplies we’ll be able to build that mobile space station you spoke of correct?”
“Exactly, with our own crystals from underground, we won’t need much from Naboo to power it.”
“Then consider it approved for construction. That will be all my friend.” Vilks said with a smile.
Direwolf bowed leaving the room. He looked around making sure the coast was clear then took out a communicator speaking into it. “Dane to Mole 1. Come in Mole 1.”
“I’m here my liege.” A voice on the other line said.
“What’s going on in the Phantom of Merciless Razing fleet?”
“I overheard Howls talking to Greg about preparing a coup on Vilks. Should I notify the guards or let you.”
“No no, let them try, I actually want to see if any of them can kill the idiot this time.”
“Very well my lord, were the schematics approved?”
“Yes, with the supplies we now have, the Wolf’s Hide will be complete within 2 years.”
“Excellent. I’ll keep you posted on this end.”
“Yes that will be all. Oh don’t forget.”
“Oh right. Hail Omega.”
“Hail Omega.”
