Rarity's Ice Cold Romance

The next morning, Rarity and Sweetie came down to find their parents talking with the princesses.

"We really appreciate your having us over for Hearthwarming! That was really nice of you!", Betty smiled.

"Oh, don't thank us! It was our dear nephew's idea.", Luna replied.

"I hope you don't mean that snob, Blueblood. Rarity told us all about him!", Magnum frowned. (Even though this isn't Magnum PI, I'm gonna say it: I don't own Magnum PI!)

"Oh no, Mr. Magnum! This is our other nephew, Snowcat. But we all call him Cat.", Celestia smiled.

"Mom! Dad!", Sweetie exclaimed, embracing her parents, along with Rarity.

"Sweetie Belle! Can you believe this? We're spending Hearthwarming at the Castle!", Magnum grinned.

"I know! And you guys have to meet Cat! He's cool!", she smiled.

"Speaking of which, where is Snowcat?", Rarity asked.

Luna smiled, "He's talking his daily morning ice bath. He should be finished soon."

Then, Snowcat came down the stairs, his force field up, and his mane damp.

"Good morning, Rarity, Sweetie. I hope you two slept well last night.", he said cheerfully.

"Oh yes, we most certainly did! Thank you for asking. Mother, Father. This is Prince Snowcat. Snowcat, these are my parents, Magnum and Betty."she smiled, kissing his cheek as she introduced him to her parents.

"Wow, you must really like the cold, if you take an ice bath 3 times a day!", Betty deduced.

Snowcat grinned, "It's what keeps me alive."

"Hehe, you weren't kidding when you said he was cool!", Magnum laughed, Snowcat laughing along.

After breakfast, Rarity and Snowcat went outside for a walk around Canterlot, while Magnum, Betty, and Sweetie had a snowball fight.

"So...Snowcat...I've been thinking...how does Frozalina (Fr-oz-a-lina) and Blizzarby (Blizz-arby, as in Arby's. I don't own Arby's!) sound to you?", Rarity asked, hoofing the snow.

"For what?", Snowcat replied curiously.

"As names. For our children, well, when we get to that part. Listen, it may sound like I'm rushing things, but that's because I've found the stallion I want to spend eternity with.", Rarity sighed.

Snowcat smiled, putting his hoof around Rarity, "I think they're really clever. The question is, would my aunts approve? And your parents?"

"I wrote to my parents about my plans. But I don't know about your aunts...We should probably go ask them. But I'll tell you now, you don't need to ask me. Just sweep me off my feet.", she grinned mischievously, kissing his snout, before throwing a snowball in his face and running.

"I'm coming to get you, 'My Darling Snowflake!'", he smiled, chasing after her.

They played in the park for a while, before going back to the castle, finding Sweetie and Luna building a snowpony, while Celestia, Magnum, and Betty were building a snow fort.

"Rarity! Cat! You're back!", the little filly exclaimed, charging them both with a hug.

"How's that paper of yours going, Sweetie?", Snowcat asked.

"Great! Thanks for letting me use your books! I just need your opinion on what it's like there, and I'll be done!", she smiled, making a pen and paper appear.

"Well...it's beautiful, the frost constantly clinging to the trees, the icy lake. It's also very peaceful, the only sound heard for miles are those of falling snowflakes. But, it's also very lonely, as no one else can stand the cold like I can.", he answered, looking a little down at the last part, Rarity came up and they started nuzzling each other.

Celestia grinned, "I see you two have developed feelings for each other."

"That's what we came to ask you about, if you and Luna would bless our marriage.", Rarity said sheepishly.

Luna laughed, "Of course we'll bless the marriage! We would be monsters if we didn't for our dear nephew! Just give us a few months to prepare the wedding. Cat? Have you even asked her yet?"

"He doesn't have to...", Rarity smiled, kissing Snowcat's lips as she said so.
