The entrance of the mighty kingdom of gryphonstone is shown. A large group of gryphons were standing at the entrance; some of them had tears forming or falling from their eyes. While others had sad smiles stretched across their faces. In front of the group stood a single hooded figure; that looked about the same size as a pony from their neighboring kingdom of Canterlot. One female gryphon slowly walked out of the crowd and in front of the hooded figure.
The figure tilted its head up and from under the darkened hood; a sad smile can be shown. The figure then walked up the the gryphon and hugged it. The gryphon immediately returned the hug while also gently nuzzling the left side of the figures head.
“Do you really have to go?” The gryphon asked in a voice laced with sadness.
“I'm afraid I have to Gale force,” The figure replied in a voice that sounded similar to that of the ponies raised in the swamps, “I'm never been known for staying in one place for too long, now.” It finished.
“Yes, you told me and every other gryphon here that,” Gale force sighed as the two finally separated from each other, “But, this doesn't make this goodbye; any less painful.” She finished causing a few other gryphon in the crowd to nod their heads in agreement.
“Now, none of you start saying that this is a goodbye,” The figure happily spoke before it walked past Gale force and stood in front of the others, “Allow me to go ahead and tell y'all now. This is not a goodbye. This is me making a promise to come back and see y'all again.” The figure then lifted its head and released a loud, happy, whooping sound. Which caused a few gryphon in the crowd to do the same; while others just laughed loudly.
One by one the figure walked up and gave a friendly hug to each gryphon in the crowd. Some of them gave the figure a friendly slap to the back. Others just held the figure for a long period of time. While only a few allowed some of their sad tears fall onto the back of its hood. The figure then started to slowly walked down the road leading away from gryphonstone. But, before the figure was too far away it heard a loud “Hey!” came from behind it. Causing it to turn around and hear everyone in the crowd shout.
“NOS SUNT AMICI IN PERPETUUM!” All of the gryphon's shouted.
The figure smiled happily before shouting back, “INDISSOLUBILI VINCULO IN AETERNUM!” The figure then released another whooping sound before continuing its walk down the road.
The figure is shown walking down the road; which was in the middle of a large open prairie. Stopping for a quick moment to take a deep breath and then sighing happily. The figure sat itself down on the ride side of the road. Underneath the hood a small green aura can be seen. Then a few seconds later a small map; with the same green aura floated out from under the figures cloak. Only to slowly unfold itself in front of the figures head.
“Okay. Where to next?” It asked itself as it studied its map; allowing it to see the many kingdoms and villages. The wonderful country of Equestria had to offer, “Okay, so I just left gryphonstone. So that means my next stop is........Ponyville.” The figure said with much happiness in its voice. It then refolded its map and placed it back underneath its cloak; possible into a bag or satchel it had underneath. Slowly the figure pulled the hood of its cloak back over its head. Giving clear sight of what the figure was.
It was a creature that had dark purple insect like skin; almost similar to that of a rhinoceros beetle. It had the green eyes of a praying mantis and two large fangs can be seen; sticking out from underneath its upper lip and pressing onto its lower lip. The two front legs of the creature is shown; both of them having a series of holes going up and down. On its head sat a curved back horn; which had a small red tip. This creature was a female changeling.
“I wonder what that town is like?” She asked herself as she continued to walk down the road. Smiling happily as she though of all the new things she was possibly going to see. And all the new friend she was possibly going to make, “I've heard that the town is very nice and that the ponies there are really friendly.” she continued before it looked up to the sky; allowing her to see a few slow moving clouds moving across the clear blue sky.
“Well I am nice and I am friendly. So I shouldn't have any trouble getting along with anypony there.” She said happily before a warm gently breeze swept across the prairie. Causing her to take in another deep breath of fresh air, “I love being a wanderer.” She said before using its magic to levitate a flute in front of her mouth. Before she started to play a very happy tune.
(I've been to so many different places and seen so many different things.)
She heard the sound of the grass gently rustling as the breeze continued to blow across the land. It caused her to smile; as she though the land itself was joining in on her joyful song.
(I've seen the cold place where the yaks live and I've witnessed the beauty of the dragons flying high in the sky; with their powerful wings.)
She then played a few more musical notes from her flute.
(I've seen the falls that have the colors of the beautiful rainbow.)
She heard the low howling of the wind; while the grass suddenly rustled loudly.
(What's the next exciting thing I'm going to see. No, wait, don't tell me I don't want to know.)
She began to play a few more musical notes; before she started to dance to her music.
(This is the life I have chosen to live! This is the road I have chosen to walk on.)
She then heard the sound of some birds chirping loudly above her. When she looked up; her eyes went wide in surprise. For, directly above her was a family of phoenixes; which had small embers falling from their wings.
(At night I sleep underneath the beauty of the stars. And in the morning I'm greeted with the beautiful, warm, face of the sun at dawn.)
One of the phoenixes feathers is shown falling directly down to her. Allowing her to gently hold it in her insect like hooves.
(This is a life I wish to share with so many others.)
The feather is then shown slowly floating away in the breeze; it caused her to happily smile, because just like that feather. It reminded her that she was free.
(Because I am a wanderer.)
She began to walk down the road once more; happily playing her flute to the sound of natures, natural orchestra.
(I don't have to worry about being mad or sad.)
The wind can be heard howling a little louder.
(Because being able to experience so many different things. Makes me feel so very glad.)
She then stood on one of her back legs and spun like a ballerina. Only to begin to play her flute once again.
(The day I'm told there is no more things for me to meet or to see.)
She then played a few sad notes from her flute.
(That might as well be the end for me.)
The grasses rustling returned back to its gentle noise.
(I need to travel. I don't every want to be like a plant; just being stuck in the ground.)
She looked high up into the sky; mesmerized by its beautiful, clear, shade of blue. It reminded her of some of the most beautiful flower and artworks she had ever seen.
(I don't know why so many creatures ignore this natural beauty that is all around.)
Another large gust of wind swept across the prairie only this time. She spread her wings- which looked similar to that of a monarch butterfly- and flew high into the sky.
(This is the life I love to live; I love to see the world with all its beauty and natural wonder.)
She then played one final gentle tune from her flute; before she landed gracefully on the ground.
(Because I am a wanderer.)
She smiled happily before placing her flute back underneath her cloak and continuing her journey. She just couldn't wait to get to Ponyville; she was eager to make more good, unforgettable, memories. While also possibly making more unforgettable friends.
It was about Mid-day when she finally reached the outskirts of Ponyville. From where she stood; she could only make out a few large and small buildings. But, she had clear few of the magnificent, crystal, tree-like castle that stood proudly over the small village. It looked amazing; the way it sparkled and shined, made her remember all of the finest jewelry and gems she had seen in her travels. She was simply awestruck by the castles beauty; it seemed to mesmerize her. Almost as if it was just trying to pull her into the two; welcoming her with open arms.
“Wow,” She whispered as she walked closer and closer to the small village, “I wonder who lives in-OH!” She gasped when she felt something small and furry bump into her front legs; causing her to look down.
Down in front of her was small white rabbit; shaking its head from side to side as it slowly got back up on its feet. It then looked up towards her and tilted its head to the left. Almost as if it was wondering what she was; and whether or not if she a friend or a foe. She gave the small rabbit a a friendly smile before she knelt down to its level.
“Hello there,” She said in a very friendly voice before she extended one of her hooves towards the rabbit. Gently stroking the back of its neck; which caused it to smile happily as it began to tap its left foot, “Aren't you a cute little thing.” She finished before she stood back up. “Do you live out here?” She asked it.
“Angel!” A gentle voice called out; causing her to look around the surrounding area. So she would know where the voice was coming from, “Angel! Angel bunny, where are you?!” The voice called out again.
“I take it that must be your owner?” She asked before looking down towards rabbit known as Angel bunny; seeing it slowly nod its head. Before an annoyed looked appeared on its face, “Now, don't you be making a face like that.” The changeling said causing Angel to look up towards her; showing her that she had confused it, “Your owner is out there looking for you right now. That shows me that your owner clearly, cares, and loves you.” She finished.
“Angel!” The voice called out again; which caused Angel to turn and look towards the direction where the voice had come from. It then showed signs of regret and sadness; before it released one of the softest sighs.
“Come on now.” The changeling said before it knelt down; allowing Angel to get on top of her back, “Let's get you back to your owner.” She finished before she began to walk towards where the voice had come from.
“Oh, how rude of me.” She gasped before she turned her head back to look over her shoulder. Allowing her to see Angel sitting on her back, “I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Beetle; But, my friends call me Bee.” She finished before she finally found the owner of the Angel bunny.
It was a pegasus mare with a cream colored coat and light pink mane and tail. On her flanks were the images of three small butterflies. The pegasus was searching high and low for her lost pet. On her face was a look of nothing but complete worry and she seemed to be really close to crying.
“Is that your owner?” Beetle asked receiving a nod from Angel, “Okay.” She replied before turning her head back towards the pegasus.
“Excuse me ma'am!” She yelled; getting the mares attention, “I found your!”
“AHHHHHH!” The pegasus screamed.
“What!? What!?” Beetle yelled out of complete confusion as she scanned the area around her. Only to feel something slam into her; knocking her onto her back, and also knocking a little bit of the wind out of her, “Ow!” She coughed as she tried to regain her senses, “What was that for ma'am?” She asked before coughing a little bit more.
“Stay away!” The pegasus screamed before her grip on Angel tightened, “Stay away! You monster!” She screamed again before she rapidly flew away from a very confused Beetle.
“Monster?” Beetle asked as she looked around; seeing nothing but a few trees and the grass, “What Monster?” She continued only to have the natural silence of nature answer her back. Shrugging her shoulders she walked back to the path that lead to Ponyville and continued her walk. In a matter of minutes she was finally at the entrance of Ponyville; she was awe struck by how amazing the village looked. She could see different species of ponies walking through the many streets of the village. She also saw some that had small booths and shops open. Some of them were selling flowers and other wonderful items. While others were selling foods that; even from where she stood. Smelled and looked very delicious.
“Wow, so this is Ponyville,” Beetle said before she saw a dark blue unicorn stallion walking close by. Smiling she slowly walked up to him and tapped him on his shoulder, “Hi, I'm.”
“AHHH! CHANGELING!” He yelled before he bolted off in a mad sprint back into the small village.
“Beetle,” Beetle finished clearly confused as to why the stallion just ran away from her, “That's strange; I though I was being friendly?” She asked herself before she looked around; allowing her to see a few more mares and stallions. Suddenly taking cover; almost as if they had just seen some kind of creature from their darkest nightmares.
“Maybe they're just shy,” Beetle said to herself before she nodded her head, “Yeah, they're just shy,” She continued before a gentle smile stretched across her face, “Once they get know me better; I'm sure they'll warm up to me.” She finished before she began to slowly walked into the village. Eager to not only become acquainted with the villagers. But, also very eager to make brand new friends.
