Rogue Hive

I start to wake up and it feels like I'm in some type of liquid. Right away I panic thinking that I'm drowning only to stop and see that I'm in some sort of pod. I calm down no longer afraid and now I'm asking myself "were am I, how long was out?"

Then all of a sudden the liquid is drained from the pod and I fall out and all along the floor there are reflective shards. I look at its reflective surface and notice that there's a small scar crack were I was hit with the concussive spell. I change forms and notice its still there "great, but why didn't it heal?"

I think as I change back then hat same voice from earlier "I see you're finally awake." I jump and turn to see Queen Chrysalis. Fear seizes my heart at the size of her but I banish it for now and bow "Queen Chrysalis thank you for saving me I'll take my siblings and leave right away."

As I say it I'm hoping she won't kill us "nonsense you can stay among my hive I saw you fight tell me where did you train to fight like that?" I look up quite amazed by what I just heard and i say "no where I had no hive to train in. I was born in the forest, may I ask were my siblings are and how they are doing Queen Chrysalis?"

She looks at me and smiles "why don't you come and see for your self." She takes me thru the hive upon arrival I see my siblings and I'm so relived "they were very hungry, ate a lot of emotion and so did you." She looks directly at me "You must be very strong to fight with suck small amount of emotional reserves."

I would of had blushed at the compliment if I didn't have chitin. "My Queen what happens to me and my siblings now?" She looks at me with a serious expression "I will need a new body guard to replace the one you killed." I gulp and think to myself "I killed one of her body guards."

I look up to see her smiling at me she then says "you will be a perfect body guard, once you've been trained of course." I stop in my tracks, shes going to make me one of her personal guards, me a changeling that just came by and killed on of her guards.

She looks at me with a smile "here we are the nursery your siblings should be in here." As I bow I thank her  and she says "one more thing your training will began with captain of my guard drone 346 also know as Night Ray." I look at her confused "um who's Night Ray." She looks at me with a smile "Night Ray is the one you injured with your horn."

I stop dead "I'm going to be trained by the guy who tried to kill me, and who I injured." she looks at me with a bit of amusement "yes you are now go and see you'r brother and sister they've been very worried about you."

I walk off still shocked, ya this guy going to kill me during training. As I get closer to where they are a changeling steps in my way. I try to go around only to be blocked again I'm a little annoyed now. I try again for her to stop me again.

At that point I'm very annoyed "hey what gives why are you blocking me." She looks and my also annoyed "why are you trying to get into the nursery, you aren't a caretaker, so turn the buck around and leave!" I was shocked at this and angered that she was trying to prevent me from seeing my siblings "I'm here to see my siblings Hopeful Star and Mournful Light."

She looks at me and laughs "I'm not letting a drone in let alone an outcast!" Now I'm mad and I widen my stance to charge, she's still smiling. Then I hear the most terrifying and commanding voice ever "stop this at once, I will not have my changelings fighting in my hive!"

As I hear her voice I slump to the ground thinking I'm going to die now but after a little bit i look up to see her angry but it lessens a little. Chrysalis looks to the nymph and says " Shining Night why do you block this drone?"

Shining Night looks up "my Queen he is not from this hive why do you let him stay." As Shining said this Chrysalis looks annoyed. Chrysalis start to speak "I have my reasons for letting this drone in it is none of your concern."

Chrysalis looks to me still mad "and as for you I don't need to tell you that I don't want fighting in my hive do I." I look at her in the eyes she has a straight face but deep down I know she's furious with me i could tell it in her eyes.

I look down in shame "no my Queen, I am sorry I ask for your forgiveness." I'm worried about what she might due to me or my siblings. Chrysalis looks at me "I will let this go once, but don't let it happen again understand."

I look up happy that she gave me another chance "yes my Queen I will not let it happen again." Chrysalis nods and walks off I go in to the nursery.

It takes me a few minutes to reach where I am going. But when I get there I get the biggest surprise ever.

From the corner of my eye I see a blur by the time I look it's to late "BROTHER!" As my siblings yell that they tackle me and nick the air from me.

I look at them and give Mournful Night and Hopeful Star a great bear. They laugh and try to escape my grasp yet I'm to strong for them.

As Hopeful Star and Mournful Night grow up their more different they look from other changelings. Hopeful had and sand colored hair and blue eyes, while her younger brother Mournful had a blue fin and green eyes

As I play with them I here a voice in my head. It sounds like Chrysalis "I'm sending Shining Night to get you and take you to my throne room." I'm so confused by how she's speaking to me but I let it be when Shining comes in she looks at me with a burning hatred.

As I walk thru the halls I try to talk to her "um hi, sorry about earlier didn't mean for it to almost come to fighting." I wait but she doesn't respond so I try again "so what do you do here?" she still doesn't talk to me. So I walk in front of her "hey why are you trying to ignore me I ant going to fight with you again." She looks at me pretty mad "you want to know why OK then I'll tell you why. Just cause the Queen approves you being here doesn't mean I do!"

We continue the rest of the way in silence until I see the throne room. I look at her she's still mad but she says "go in I'll be here waiting to take you to where you'll sleep in the hive." As I walk in I notice that changeling that had attacked me Night Ray was smiling. I look to Chrysalis and she looks at me "Blade Maker you have been accepted into our hive as such you will obey hive rules."

Night Ray steps forward still smiling and begins to speak "you will be trained to be a personal guard of her majesty, as such you will be trained by me the captain of her guard." He backs away and Chrysalis steps forward once again "you will be one of the best drone yet, you're drone number will be. Worrier drone 652, now leave you'r training with other worrier drones begins tomorrow."

As I bow I turn around and walk out where I see Shining waiting she starts to walk away so I follow. We arrive at a small bunk room with other changelings there looks to be black armor there. I look back and she says "this is the recruit barracks you'll stay here for the duration of you'r training" and with that she walks away.

I look forward and I know that I don't fit in here then Night walks in and everypony stands at attention he looks around "as you were!" He walks to me

with a smile and whispers "I'm going to see to it that you don't pass training an outcast like you doesn't deserve an honor like this. These drones here do they worked hard their entire life for this not you." With that he leaves.

As he does I mutter to myself "what have I gotten myself into" as I look around I feel unaccepted. I head over to my bunk and think about how I got here and as I do I drift into the realm of sleep.
