Location: Meeting room
The room was almost completely dark except a bright green colored holographic globe of Equestria. The light from the globe shined light on two things that were what looked like big, slimy, brown, tentacled creatures with a small beak for a mouth and two large and pure black eyes which can tear through the soul of anyone and anything. "Mars is incapable of sustaining life. All of our efforts to try to stop this have failed and our water supply decreasing as well as our population" one of them said his voice deep and echoes throughout.
"The only viable action we have left Malron is the conquest and occupation of "Equestria" our young sunward neighbor"
"Equestria is abundant with life and resources and while the environment seems uncomfortable it will do" Malron spoke
"The problem is of course the ponies and a few other species in Equestria has developed primitive intelligence, but yet their life is developed around peace and prosperity, but the ponies have possessed a strange energy called "Magic" but are not well prepared for war so a strike on the heart of Equestria should be enough to make the populations crumble and make us victorious but even before this meeting the means of an attack were realized. I ordered a hydrogen Accelerators to be constructed. This will launch pods carrying the assault forces. We had not had the need for such destructive weaponry in over five thousand years and modifications to our current technology will take place and should prove adequate against the inferior Equestrian defenses"
"It better not Metro. Our race depends on it".
Three Months after
At midnight a huge mass of green gas erupted on Mars's surface and sped towards Equestria. Across two hundred miles of void invisibly hurdling towards the unsuspecting population of Equestria came the first of the missiles that would bring so much calamity to Equestria. Moments after there was another eruption of green gas coming from Mars, it was another missile starting on its way.

It was a clam night in the land of Equestria. Nothing scheduled from Luna so it was rather odd when a meteorite was spotted. It was reported to be bright green and leaving behind a crystal like light green as a trail. From all reports it had crashed into the everfree. In the morning the princesses decided to only send in some Pegasus guards to check it out since it was deep enough that if any unicorns or earth ponies went in, their chances of suirvival would be next to none. Meanwhile at the crash site the sound of unscrewing began.

The next morning the location of the crash site and the surrounding area was in flames. All life around that area was running as fast as they could to get away from the cylinder, but most were cut down from a red beam coming from a funnel that came out from a hole of the cylinder with a large screw on the ground next to the cylinder. The Pegasus guards arrived, but couldn't get close because how intense the heat was. As they were about to head back to report this the red beam shot up at one of them burning him to ash. Before the other could react it was shot and suffered the same fate.
The moment the guards were killed there was officially no turning back. It was game on and the Martains knew they had to make their next move soon or else they would lose the element of surprise. So within the cylinder came the sounds of hammering as they began the construction of the war machines.

Location: Canterlot
A Royal Guard member ran through the doors and into the thrown room out of breath and quickly kneeled before rising up. "We have a situation" he says eyes widened looking up at the princesses.
"What is it" Celestia asked worriedly knowing if his reaction is like this it's bad.
"Three things are heading to ponyville. Recon tried to figure out what they are but all we are seeing are silhouettes of them and if we get too close they got blasted out of the sky from a red beam. The last ones that had eyes on them has not came back yet and that was over an hour ago so we believe what ever they are got them" he said slowly calming down.
"Let the base by ponyville know and have them send troops to ponyvile to both evacuate and set up a defense"
"Right away your highness" the guard said, but right before he was about to leave another guard came in out of breath and didn't even kneel.
"Ponyville is up in flames. There are no survivors but the mane six were visiting Manehatten at the time so they're ok. A team is getting over there to get them over here".
A new wave of anger and sadness flowed through Celestia. She had known a lot of the ponies in ponyvile and the thought of all of them dead was almost too much to bear but she pushed the sadness out and stood up. "Start focusing all resources and research into the military. We have to hit these guys and hit them hard before they kill even more. Do whatever you can to stop them" she commanded. She knew they had to do everything in their power to stop them or else once they're done with them they will then take out every other civilization on the planet
Location:Ponyville
All of ponyville was in flames as Royal Guard was outside of the town by the everfree trying to figure out what would happen another cylinder was spotted entering the atmosphere heading towards the everfree as well near where the other was but then it showed three silhouettes towering over the trees than two presumably green eyes lit up followed by the other two machines. All three were looking down at the guards then the last thing the guards saw was each machine firing the red beam from a funnel underneath the machines.
