Chapters First Try, Failed!
Morning in Ponyville…
“Well, you’re both up bright and early!” Twilight greeted as Fluttershy entered the library with Bunny in her mane.
“Yes, but are you really sure about this, Twilight?” Fluttershy cringed.
“Sure, I’m sure! Now, where’s Bunny?”
“Right here, you know how much I like to hide in somepony’s mane when I feel nervous” Bunny peeked and hopped right out and onto the floor.
“Oh, c’mon! You managed to beat Celestia with that major risk; you can take on a baby dragon!”
“I beat Celestia because I had enough strength and I was told to. Now, let’s just meet this baby dragon, alright?” Bunny rubbed her eyes.
“Sorry, I just woke up”
“No worries, ready?”
“Yes, but please be careful”
“I was re-born ready!” Bunny jumped high.
“Okay, Spike, the new girl’s here!” Twilight called out to her assistant.
Spike came in the room almost immediately, bubbling with excitement. “Alright, this is it! Now, who’s the little one?”
He stopped dead in his tracks, however, when he saw Bunny. At first sight, he could already tell what she is.
Bunny didn’t mind, in fact, she was fascinated. “Oh! Cool! A baby dragon! Hi! I’m Bunny, and I like playing games!” she raised a paw for a handshake.
Spike just looked at her paw, then her face, and just ran off screaming. He slammed the door behind him when he ran to the storage room; it sounded like he locked it, and just hid under a fort made of books.
“Well, that was…weird” Twilight said, confused.
Fluttershy facehoofed, Bunny rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, we knew this was gonna happen”
“What? How? What do you mean?”
Fluttershy looked up. “Twilight, dragons are afraid of aliens”
“What?!”
Bunny nodded. “It’s true. Let’s just say that a long time ago; when dragons and aliens used to roam about almost everywhere freely, there was a war between Monsters and dragons. Monsters were beginning to lose; dragons were taking everything they loved. Eventually, it got nearly to the point that they almost became extinct. But, one day, a group of aliens, came to the aid of the monsters. They all became something out of horror movies, causing the dragons to surrender. Since then, monsters have lived peacefully, but dragons were still traumatized. And thus, the origin of the only thing every dragon fears was born”
“We wanted to tell you, but you were so excited that we didn’t wanna ruin your moment” Fluttershy dragged her hoof on the floor.
“I’m sorry, I just thought, well, because Spike wasn’t really raised at all by dragons, maybe he would’ve…”
Twilight looked down, dismayed. Fluttershy saw the state her friend was in, Bunny did too. The Pegasus gave Bunny a sad look, she knew what that meant. The alien sighed, and reluctantly nodded.
“Twilight, why don’t we…try again tomorrow?” Fluttershy said with a smile.
The Alicorn’s ears perked up at the suggestion. “Do you really mean it?”
“Well…” Fluttershy eyes Bunny, who nodded. “How about at a picnic, with everypony else?”
Twilight immediately ran toward Fluttershy and hugged her tightly, slightly making her blush as Bunny slightly giggled. “Oh, Fluttershy,
“Guess we’ll meet again tomorrow” Fluttershy said.
“Let’s meet at the meadows by 1 PM!”

“And then, he just ran off in fear? Just like that?” Rainbow asked. Applejack gnawed a slice of apple pie while the cyan Pegasus talked. Fluttershy was telling them all about the events that happened yesterday.
Fluttershy nodded, holding Bunny close to her side with her hoof. “I didn’t want to disappoint Twilight, so I decided to suggest a second test”
“Is that so?” Rarity asked. “Or, maybe you suddenly feel something…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Bunny shoved an apple into the marshmallow pony’s mouth. “Don’t talk with your mouth full, Rarity. I thought you were a lady with manners” she mocked.
Rarity annoyingly pulled the apple out of her mouth, no use arguing with that apprentice of Fluttershy.
“Here they come!” Pinkie announced.
Everypony looked where the party pony was pointing; Twilight was trotting towards them while Spike followed behind. Twilight dragged the dragon with her magic, which was still half-asleep.
“C’mon, Spike! This will be fun!” Twilight said enthusiastically. Spike only rubbed his eyes.
“Twilight, what’s gonna be so fun about this? It’s 7:00 A.M. What did you drag me fo-“Right then, he saw Bunny again. He acted like the last time, screamed at the top of his lungs and tried to run away. Atleast he couldn’t now because he was in Twilight’s magical grasp.
“Spike, would you calm down? There’s nothing to be afraid of” Twilight said.
“Nothing?! Twilight, she’s an alien! She’s gonna tear me apart and rip out my throat!”
Fluttershy glanced at Bunny, who just looked confused while munching at a carrot. “Spike, why would she do that? Bunny eats fruits and vegetables; quite a vegetarian”
The dragon stared dumbfounded. “Wait, WHAT?!”
“Spike, you should know that not all aliens are dangerous, or hurt dragons” Twilight explained. “Just give her a chance”
Spike stared at the alien; she just looked at him with puppy eyes. He knew his instinct was to flee at the sight of such a creature, but her look in her eyes told a different story. She seemed like no threat, and the carrot munching slightly proved it. Besides, she's slightly younger and her name doesn't sound so threatening. He just sighed. “There’s no way I’m not going to regret this”
Twilight let him down. “You’ll see, she can be so much fun to have around”
Spike timidly approached Bunny, who started off.
“Okay, let’s start this thing over. Hi! I’m Bunny, and I like playing games” she held her paw out for a shake.
“Hi, I’m Spike, Twilight’s assistant” He shook her paw.
“Nice to meet you, Spike”
“Great, so…what do you do for fun?”

Later…
“Bunny, this is messed up!” Spike said as Bunny levitated him in the air to make him look like he was flying. He enjoyed it throughout the way.
“Wanna come down?” Bunny asked.
“Yes, please”. Bunny lowered him back on the ground. Just then, he noticed her ears pointing somewhere on the ground. “What have you got on your scent?”
Bunny didn’t answer; she just dug on the ground like a dog. “Hey, Spike, you like gems, right?” she asked from the inside.
“Yeah, why?”
The alien emerged from the hole, covered in dirt. “Then you’re gonna love this! I found a turquoise for you!”
“Awesome! I guess you’re not so bad after all”

“Hey, Bunny, can I ask you something?” Spike asked as the alien played with a flower, making it bloom.
“Surely, what is it?”
“That necklace on you, I heard that the ones on the rest of your family have bloomed into grown flowers. Why is yours still a bud?”
“Oh, right. These necklaces we wear, they will change to the trait we represent once we get our cutie marks. Mine hasn’t bloomed yet because I’m still a blank belly. We can tell if we are close to having our cutie mark if the Elemental stripes have begun to glow in a way that they slightly resemble the rest of our color”
Spike stared at the dismayed alien, she stared at her cutie mark spot with a sigh. She wants to find out what she was meant to symbolize, if only even just one of her stripes would glow. She shares his pain; both are searching for answers about who they truly are.
He placed his hand on Bunny’s shoulder. “Hey, I know how you feel. I myself don’t even know who my parents are or where I really came from. But we can find our answers to these questions, together”
Bunny smiled. “Thanks, Spike”
“Grrrrr” Spike faked a growl.
“Rawr!” Bunny faked a roar. Both laughed after they did their new signature greetings.
Tested at Mission
“Okay, girls, here’s the plan” Twilight said as her friends spread out a picture of what looked like a gecko, but monstrously. Celestia sent a letter earlier indicating that there’s a creature called the Gecko that’s raging havoc in the Everfree Forest. It was 4 times the size of an average pony, colored black all over and breathing fire. It was really aggressive, truly crazed. It’s one weakness was water, if drowned.
“So, I and Fluttershy will run as that thing chases us out to the waterfall. Bunny, Spike, you know what your parts are, right?”
Bunny nodded. “Spike will corner it and as it backs away, I will use Vine Trap to tie it together”. They knew that these creatures were afraid of Dragons and Aliens.
“Then I and Applejack will tug on the vines of the hinds while Fluttershy and Rainbow will grab it by the top vines” Pinkie Pie added.
“Then I and Twilight will gather water with our magic; isolate it in a water sphere, and when it is weakened, tie it with a rock and send it into the waterfall below” Rarity finished.
“Okay, stick to the plan. And let’s top that thing once and for all” Twilight declared. All nodded with anticipation.

“Hurry, Fluttershy or it will catch you!” Twilight yelled at the mare that was running for her life. Once she got to the area, Spike jumped out of the bushes. The Gecko stopped in fear; it was bigger than Spike, but it knows it still a dragon. Spike breathed a ball of fire to intimidate it. The Gecko tried to run away, but was cornered by Bunny, who growled as though aggressive. It tried to backpedal, but it was already trapped.
“Now, Bunny!” Fluttershy called to the alien, she just nodded.
Bunny lifted her front paws about, as though about to jump. Instead, she struck them at the ground as her Nature stripe glowed its green color. Right then, four vines came out of the ground, all wrapped around the Gecko’s 4 legs, they were covered in thorns. Then all 6 mares came out of their hiding places, four grappled at the vines with their teeth while the other two levitated the Gecko with magic. They stuck to their plan while Bunny struggled to keep the vines together.
They walked the Gecko as it got weaker to the stream leading to the waterfall. But pinkie accidentally slipped on a rock and Bunny started to lose control of the vines. Luckily, the Gecko had already fallen into the water below. But it grabbed Spike in the process with its sticky tongue, causing him to go in the water to. He could only scream for help as he tried to swim.
“I’m coming, Spike!” Bunny screamed as she jumped into the stream and started swimming to Spike. She finally caught the dragon and cut the tongue off the Gecko, freeing the dragon. Bunny swam to a nearby branch of a fallen tree to get Spike to safety. But when they thought they were safe, one of the vines grappled onto Bunny’s neck, dragging her down. She struggled to break free, even chewing fast to try and snap the vines.
“Swim, Bunny, swim!” Spike called out.
The alien just looked behind her back; she was already nearing the edge of the waterfall. No chance of getting to escape, all she could say was 1 thing before falling, “Guess I’ll see you guys later”
“Bunny, NO!” Spike cried out as she fell of the edge.
Fluttershy hurried to where she could see the bottom, no sign of her apprentice anywhere. She cried now that she knew that may be her last words. Twilight gave Fluttershy a hug, “Spike, Bunny saved your life”
“I can’t tell you how wrong I was that she was mean”
“You’ll never catch me!” Bunny yelled as Spike chased after her.
“You just got out of yet another faked death, I want to go easy” Spike yelled back.
Twilight smiled at the sight as Fluttershy watched her apprentice play chase with Twilight’s assistant. “You were right after all, Twilight. This is fun”
The Alicorn nodded. “What next? Join her with the Cutie Mark Crusaders?”
Fluttershy laughed. “She already did, they welcomed her with open hooves”
“Are you sure about this?” Fluttershy asked.
“Yes, this could be just perfect for Spike to meet her” Twilight replied.
“But, why would we want to introduce Bunny to Spike? I don’t think this will end well”
“Oh, come on! Give it a chance! You’d have to be a little curious”
Fluttershy had her doubts, of course. She looked at Bunny, who was playing with her catnip toy. She looked again at Twilight. She had a second thought, and nodded.

“Excuse me, what?” Spike questioned in an excited tone.
“Yes, Spike. Fluttershy now has an apprentice who’s now part of our gang; I want you to meet her. She's even nearly the same age as you, just slightly younger”
“Cool! I can’t wait! When’s she coming over?” Spike nearly jumped 10 feet in excitement.
“Tomorrow, with Fluttershy”
“Awesome! I’m dying of waiting!”
“Wouldn’t you want to know what she is first?”
“Nah, I want it to be a surprise”
“Okay, I guess you’re gonna love it”

Spike drew a picture a Bunny sorrowfully. “I didn’t even get to thank her”
Twilight wiped her tears, nodding. “She was one unique alien”
Fluttershy was falling apart. “I was the first one who found her. I saved her once, I should’ve saved her then” she had a hard time speaking between her sobs.
Rarity cried in her handkerchief as Pinkie hid her mourning in a pillow. Applejack was lying down with Rainbow in front of her. She was mourning, but Rainbow was thinking.
Suddenly, her eyes went wide. “What did she mean by that?”
Applejack was confused. “What do ya’ll mean?”
“Before she fell off the waterfall, she said ‘I’ll see you guys later”
Applejack was now intrigued. “What did she mean by that?”
Quite a perfect question.

Back at the waterfall…
Underneath the waters that fell off a cliff, you’d expect to find two dead bodies nearly at the bottom. Technically speaking, one was a real body whilst the other was not dead.
Bunny opened her eyes, looking around; all she saw was a dead creature and water. She chewed her way through the vine on her neck and it broke. She swam to the surface, playing as though she was a little child who faked her own death. She just swam to dry and land and shook the water off her body like a dog would. That done, she ran into the path that would lead her back home.

Everypony was trying their best to keep it together. Some like Fluttershy just broke apart, others like Pinkie tried to hide it, Rainbow and Applejack were still trying to understand what she meant. What they failed to see was the very friend who was thought to have sacrificed her life to save another was now just waiting outside.
Fluttershy cried out her eyes, until she turned her head and saw her. Twilight noticed, “What’s wrong?”
The Pegasus just ran out the door. “Bunny!” she hugged her friend. “You’re alive!”
“Why wouldn’t I be? I told you before, I can’t die anymore” Bunny smiled.
Spike couldn't believe his ears, but when he saw her, he ran up to greet her. Tears of joy streamed down his face as he hugged the little alien. "You came back for us"
Bunny hugged back. "Nopony gets left behind, Spikey"
The others watched from the sidelines, now the group was complete. For Twilight and Fluttershy, this friendship worked perfectly. And for Spike and Bunny, it was a friendship that goes beyond differences.
