But it was too dark to see anything move, you couldn’t even see your own hands in front of your face. ‘Well isn’t this just great. From wandering the night forest with your friends to a game of terrifying hide and seek; only I’m the idiot that got separated from the group meanwhile the others look for me.’ You told them to wait for you about five times. It REALLY isn’t hard to listen and especially when they have someone who has NEVER went to this part of the forest. You and three of your friends had been hanging out for the weekend; nothing special just chilling in one of their houses, talking and playing a few video games. Once it got really dark we would all walk to our homes, first, three of them would walk one friend near their home and then repeat the same action for the others. But this time somebody thought it’d be 'fun' to explore the upper part of the woods and take a detour. Now you wandering in pitch black with only the light of your phone to guide you as you bump into logs and fallen trees. Your feet move carefully across the mud, you could feel your sneakers sinking in, which almost made you topple over a few times. Branches would poke at the sides of your head leaving small but long after pain which was very unpleasant. As you gently rub the pained sides –but it would only irritate the spots even more. Your shoes felt hard ground; you was relieved to feel solid ground with the sound of leaves crunching under your feet instead the mushy muddy soil. All that could be heard at the moment were the leaves crackling under you and the sound of the winds high pitched screeches. Your mind soon begins to carelessly think of what could be out in night cloaked mother nature. 'Hopefully I don't run into the wrong crowd, last I heard there have been numerous thugs that sit around and get wasted in these times. I heard that there've been sightings of deer nearby...I'll just hope that none run into me,' your train of thought was broken by more howling screeches of the wind, bristling leaves off the weak branches of large bodies and lifting them from the grass/mud. As the noises grew in volume, there was a cautious feeling coursing through your chest: that kind of feeling as though something was watching you, stalking you and ready pounce. That’s when your legs instinctively get to work in mid speed to not wanting to find out if your suspicion was right. Many oak bodies were passed as your search continues for something familiar: a few times your feet would slip up but luckily you're able to keep balance, kind of. After what seemed an eternity of wandering in the completely black abyss. You saw a clear opening within. One step at a time, the clearer it became: your eyes could see the stars of the large blue canvas that is the sky, at the very centre, the moon at its fullest. “Oh thank god, some light,” you relieve quietly, making your way to a small cliff like structure that had enough ground for you to stand: it seemed like a very miniature version of pride rock but instead with grass and much softer matter. There you stood, almost at the edge of the cliff: All that could be seen were lights, projecting from houses and lampposts from a far but to where you currently was, there was long bike hill. But the sight most beautiful at the moment was from the sky above. Twinkles from the miniature details, the moon was in the right alignment between the trees when you was inside the forest. Now with a further inspection your head slightly tilted, it had looked more beautiful and when staring at it for a good thirty seconds: the circular body was coated with a sapphire aura which only fits the picture in contrast. “Well… at least I got something to look at while I wait.” Just as you was about to relax you could hear your friends shout your name. Your mouth lets out a small sigh of both relief and disappointment. “Until next time I guess,” you say softly to yourself as you take one last look of the white orb in the sky, while making your way back inside the shadowy forest. But the wind soon picks up at a fast pace. The sounds grow louder into almost like roars of wild beasts: leaves started to practically scatter across your feet. As your head turns back to the sky something emerged from what seemed to be the very moon itself: a baby blue coloured cloud quickly slithered towards your current location and you were then coated in fear and adrenaline. Your legs immediately move you back into the forest to then dive into the ground: hiding behind a large log that’s laying on its side. The barky skin of the sided body was pressing against the back of your head and neck but you could care less compared to what could have been worse. A loud thud was heard with a small notes of hissing and whooshing. Your heart was beating like drums in a rock concert and sweat began to drip off of your face. Your breath quickens with the thought of what you had just seen: which is unclear and for some reason in the back of your mind, you wanted to know. Footsteps could be heard. But not of a human as it sounded of four legs: like an animal. ‘But what sort of four legged animal lands from the sky?’ you thought to yourself as images of mythical creatures like Gryphons and for some odd reason a Pegasus…not sure why really. Your mental imaging stops as you could hear a close by voice speak. “Hmm this doesn’t seem like Equestria...” doubts the deep feminine voice. This sounds fairly bizarre as it looked ‘Equestria?’ you don’t know what alien this is or what planet it’s looking for but it took the wrong turn. Your adrenaline filled body decides to slowly peek above to picture this new form of life. When your eyes met with the being, your mouth hung along with your eyes stretching wide in disbelief. It was a horse like creature: wearing what appeared to be battle armour of sorts, it had a coat as black as a dark hole and it wore a bright phthalo blue mane with the hint of grayish persian blue that waved continuously, even without the need of wind –which you won’t lie, was strangely hypnotic. Thankfully she was facing away from you and looking down the hill. You were terrified on what to do: your hands are shaking in fear. 'Have I gone insane? Is this even real?' She continues to observe the night view. "How does another world hide away from its ruler?" she asks herself. "It doesn't matter. Once I retake Equestria, this new world will be mine as well," she boasts in glory. You begin to worry. 'Ruler? Will be hers? What the hell is going on?!' you ask yourself internally while observing the being still. Then a thought came to mind. 'I should get a picture! If I don't have proof people will think I'm talking shit,' you pull your phone out with stealth and patience. You proceed to go to your phones camera. You make absolutely sure that the flash was off. Died by alien horse creature all because of a camera flash. Not the best way to go. You hold the phone in front of you with both hands so it doesn't turn out blurry. Also because you were shaking horribly. The thumb closest to the capture button slowly makes it way to take the proof. You softly sigh quietly in relief. But before you could make your way out, your phone beeps. One of your friends sent you a message. The creature turns her body towards you. Your knees instantly drop you below to evade her vision. "What was that? Show yourself!" she yells in a commanding voice. Meanwhile, your heart is beating as fast as a train. Cold sweat began to emerge from your forehead and the rest of your body. When you got a glance at her, her face you instantly saw a horn on her head. You read the screen to see the text, it read: 'Hey, where are you?' from your friend, Nikki. She's a rather close female friend of yours. She cares about you and always want to make sure your okay. 'When I get back to her!...' As you froze still, hoping the horse like being would fly away. Your eyes were widened with fear. The sound of four legged footsteps could be heard crinkling leaves one at a time. Some sounds grew closer. It was all a game of luck and hope. The steps of hooves die in volume. You slowly poke your head up to glance for anything. She is looking around the oak infested land. The horned horse inspects the trees with supervision. She then commences with the night sky to look for any familiar constellations. You couldn't believe what you were seeing. To be fair: all of the things that were happening right now were unbelievable. As you watch in amazement, your phone rings. The same friend who sent the text is now calling you. Your ringtone happens to be a loud rock song. The animals ears perked up to the sound of the beats. Her eyes met with yours. 'This is how I die!' "You! Reveal yourself!" she commands you. You slowly rise on your feet, displaying your top half. "Now turn face to face your new -" before she could finish your feet got moving and headed off, away from her. You could feel your heart racing as you run for life: through the mud and branches to escape what was going to be your demise. As this continues, a darker shadow could be felt fly pass by over your body. Something like a large bird. You then stop, using the darkness to your advantage. Hoping she doesn't see you. You then realize that something's very off. There were no footsteps following you and you knew for a fact she wouldn't just let you run off. Just as you let out a breath of relief, your eyes capture a glimpse of a large airborne creature...with four legs. It soars in the sky with speed, but as it got closer the pacing decreases. The winged being covered in black then ignites a blue light from the tip of its horn to reveal itself on to you. But all that could be seen were a pair of cyan eyes with a sharp toothed growl. The conjured light shined on her armour but only made it reflect tiny pieces of light. You were staring death in the face. She remains levitating by the help of her wings for a moment to then land on her four hooves. "Tell me, creature. What is the name of this world?" she asks in a rather soft tone but sustains its menacing features. You take a quick gulp before answering. "E-Earth." She grew a quizzical look with her eyes squinting at you. "Earth? I see and what exactly are you? You're no pony subject and this is certainly not the Equestria." she informs. '"Pony subject?" What the hell is she talking about?' you think to yourself while your eyes continue to just stare in fear of what was essentially the grim reaper. "I'm a human, what are you?" you ask hesitantly while staring at the creatures noir muzzle. "A Pegasus?" The Alicorn mocked with laughter. "Little subject, I am no mere Pegasus. I am Alicorn!" she answered with a gust of wind pushing through you as her wings stretched out. "You will address me as your new ruler, an empress who shall shower you all with my night sky, you and the rest of your kind will call me Nightmare Moon!" she proclaims in triumph while examining your body. 'Nightmare Moon? What am I even looking at right now? A mythical dark horse in armour?' you thought to yourself with coldness spreading to your body, your eyes widened with shock and understanding of other forms of life. The only question on your mind that really broke through was "Why?" you ask her until a warping sound could be heard. You could then see the winged horse retreat by force. She was being pulled back to the small cliff where she landed. As if some power above had grabbed her by the tail and was dragging her back to the moon. "What...is happening?!" she burst with force as she kicked her front legs wildly. Upon her spooked reaction, she shot a minuscule blast of some kind at you. The power was small but still knocked you down to the ground. She then formed the familiar blue cloud form she came as and fires back to the moon. You slowly make your way towards the cliff to stare at the moon to process what had just happened. "What the hell...just happen?" you ask yourself as your eyes were now glued to the entrance point of a possible new world that is filled with armoured horses that have wings and horns. You then click to the blast she fired at you but were shocked to see no scars or tear on your clothing. 'Whatever that was, it must of been a blank,' Your phone begins to ring again. It was Nikki again. This time you answer her. "Hey! Where are you?! Why didn't you answer the first time?!" she shouts at you immediately. "I'm near the mini cliff with the bike hill and I was being chased that's why! Also I almost died thanks for asking by the way," you told her sarcastically. "What?! Listen I'm almost there, just stay where you are," Nikki tells you to then hang up. You now wait for Nikki to reach you. In the meanwhile you send your attention back to the orb in the deep blue lake above that was the sky. The images of that creature crosses your mind and is never going to leave your mind for a long time. A sound of your name being called could be heard back into the shadowy forest. It was a feminine voice, a familiar one at that. Nikki made her way to the exit of the forest to the cliff you're currently residing on. The wind begins to brush past the grass. You jump to the sight of a familiar face as she sprints up to hold you close. Your torso grew a dramatic change in temperature, from cold to warm. Your head was resting on Nikkis left shoulder. She always had a rather strong care for you, even in your early years of high school. Whether you were upset or stressed she would always be there. Her ginger hair tickles the tip of your nose. "Did they hurt you?!" Nikki asks furiously, while cupping her soft hands on your frozen cheeks. "No I'm fine, Nikki!" "You said you almost died? Who was chasing you?!" she asks another question, as she then places her hands on your shoulders. 'How do I explain this?' "Was it the thugs that lurk around at night?" "N-no, it was an animal actually," you replied hesitantly as you were reaching for your phone. Nikkis face then weakened with concern but was still genially worried. "What kind? A fox?" she asks with a tilt to her head. "No something...else." You then pull out your phone to then access your gallery of photos. After several swipes you come across the picture that would change the rules of earths reality and expand all possibilities. As you rotate your phones screen to Nikki, she leaned in to get a good look. Your expression turns serious with your eyes twinkling with new life. As you've just discovered a new form of life beyond the human race. "Is it a deer?" she asks confusingly. Just like that, your face morphed like the speed of lightning. From a astounded face of glory to a look of disbelief and confusion. The picture was almost pitch black. There were hints of blue and white dots but looked horrible. The divine being from moments ago could not be recognized. "What?" you look back at the photo, "No! It was something completely different! It was a..." you stop yourself to a realization. 'If you tell your friend that you saw a flying unicorn that wore battle armour, that talked. She'll think you're completely mad! Just think of some other animal for now,' you thought rationally. "What was it then?" "It was...a doe," you say hesitantly and awkwardly while looking away as you gripped at your right arm. Nikki then gives you a nudge to the arm. The hit wasn't exactly sore but left a sting. "You're an ass, I thought you said you almost died!" she lets out while storming off. "I did!" you shout while following behind her. The two of you make your way out of the forest to the old rusty white front gates. "I let the others know I'm with you. They're heading home, I'll walk you half way," she says with a scolding tone. She seems rather upset over what was a supposed false alarm of life and death. "Okay..." you reply in a regretful tone while looking down at the ground at the concrete ground in shame. The two of you share a long walk of awkward silence. Nikki only felt used and lied to about a situation which you can't even explain without sounding either a lunatic or a bigger liar. Even with the way she feels, she still glad that you're safe from being alone in the middle of the night. After an awkward farewell, you headed to your empty home. You were the only child in the family and your parents went away on holiday, so you had the house to yourself for a good number of days. Now most young adults would invite people to have a huge party and get wasted and possibly mingle. Unfortunately you never so the point in those types of social gatherings. Instead you decided to take a long think to yourself while on your bed. You were too in thought to even get changed. You hardly blinked or moved while going through what had just occurred tonight. 'What was that thing? Where did it come from? More importantly, what if it returns with more of its kind? What if there IS more?' As those questions replayed back in your mind, the scene of near death flicker like a roll of film. The encounter with what appeared to be an extra terrestrial being of some sort. With high intelligence and untold power beyond science but perhaps magic. Something you always admired and adored, magic, was real from the looks of what the creature shown by her horn. Many questions left you questioning how small you were compared to what was possibly out there. 'Will it return? How would it come back? It didn't seem like it meant to come or leave here at all...' You decided to leave it for another day and get ready for bed. Author's Note Hey everyone, I'm still considered a novice when it comes to writing. (At least to me) So if you have any feedback that'd help me improve, I'd humbly appreciate it very much. I hope you enjoyed this first chapter :) Chapter 1.5: Dream Space IDeep inside your mind, you have entered the realm of sleep. No dream has started but nor does any nightmare seem to slither in either, just an empty void. The area was blackened and fogging at the height of your ankles. This is totally new experience for you. It was almost silent, the only noise lurking was a long whispering exhaling sound. A sound that could only come out of death itself. You remain standing cautiously and turning your head side to side, waiting, searching for anything that could pop out of nowhere. Waiting for the unknown, few of the worst things a person can do in a situation like this. Slow but echoed steps could be heard but not from your feet. As the steps grew louder, your blood ran cold and your adrenaline was getting worse. From the corner of your eye, you caught a glimpse of what was in the area with you. It was a four legged creature like before, an Alicorn. It had clear glowing white eyes, the head was shadowed by its cloak. Only the beings horn and muzzle could be seen. But the Alicorn was at a far distance, so it was difficult for you to get a clear look. But it didn't take time for it to click that it'll no doubt be the ONLY one you've interacted very briefly. "Hello?" you shout to it. The creature took a few steps back and decided to vanish with a flicker of her horn. "Wait!" you reach out your right arm. But before turning away a cloud of dark smoke flew to your vision. It stayed hovering for a moment to get your full attention. It soon hovered above you and opened itself up to show you something. The cloud almost turned into a poofy projector, showing the same small cliff you first encountered the Alicorn. You shook your head in confusion as to what it meant. "What're you trying to tell me?" you stare into the projection to see any hidden clues, but soon something appears. It was you but not from before, some point in the future. You could see yourself sitting down and staring into the stars above at a full moon. As if waiting for something. "Why would I...I mean...that's..." you were befuddled as to why you were seeing this of all things. Most of your dreams are more or less fantasy driven: fighting monsters or being with an attractive woman of your dreams, if not that then a session of a nightmare hell. Deep down you were questioning if this creature was ever going to come back, you were even strangely interested to learn more about it's kind. But there was that possible chance that you might be chasing a pipe dream or the next time you see her it might even kill you next time. Before you could even ask more everything grows darker then it already was. The cloud reformed and became brighter and hung above your head as the area around you was pitch black. You didn't want to move without knowing what would happen. There was no chance for you running in blind without knowing what could be inside. Soon a pale hand in black wears reaches out to grab you. Luckily you woke up in your clothes with the feeling of cold sweat running down your neck. You took deep breaths to calm yourself. Afterwards you stepped near your window to look upon the night sky to see anything. Sadly nothing out of the ordinary stuck out. Just simply night and decorated with a few stars. You soon sit at your bed side and think to yourself. 'What did that mean?' Chapter 2: The Night Of SearchingIt's been a couple of days since you had the encounter and the peculiar dream. You've stayed in your room researching upon any mythical creatures that resembled a winged horse with a horn, wearing armour and can speak. As much as that alone would sound odd to anyone who were to go on your computer, it didn't bother you. All you could rummage was old depictions of Pegasi or Unicorns from either artists or from RPG games. But you then tried to remember the name that the Alicorn addressed herself that night. You sat at your seat pondering. 'Nightmare Moon?...yeah I think that was it!' You searched the name into Google, upon result you found that it links to a cartoon show. That of course revolved around a group of coloured ponies. You read summaries of the show, but it wasn't enough or exactly what you were looking for. When you weren't searching up the Alicorn you would play some games on your Playstation 4 or on Youtube. But even with those hobbies in mind, there was a part of you wanting to figure out more about the black coated creature: Even though you were certain that death was waiting for you surely. You looked at your desktops time. It's currently six thirty-five in the evening. At the start of winter, December unfortunately the snow hadn't kicked in yet but evenings got darker earlier. It was practically dark already, even the full moon was out. "Wow! Looks nice out," you addressed to yourself with a smile. The moon was a particular themed interest: You enjoyed daylight but when it came down to observing and enjoyment, the moon was your calling ever since you could remember. The moon was fully clear with no cloud in sight. The glimmering light made it attract your eyes even more. You stared at it for a couple of minutes to get your eyes to see a light spiritual blue aura effect around the body; as if it was glowing even brighter but in a more beautiful scale. You sat at your desk enjoying the view. 'It's rare to see the moon THAT full.' you thought peacefully. Then something flickered. Just for a few seconds, the moon displayed something resembling a unicorns head a small empty space for one of her eyes visible. But as you were enjoying yourself, something was telling you to go back to that spot and possibly meet with the Alicorn once again but have a plan. So after you got dressed, you grab your backpack: put your camcorder inside and went back to where it started. After a long cold walk up to the forest, you enter. You head inside the oak bodied domain again but not as blind as you were. With the assistance of your phones light yet again. It was a much easier tread along, much drier and fluent in motion this time. There it was, the very same spot from the encounter and from your dreams. The cliff was still person/creature free. "Alright, I guess now I just wait..." you assume to yourself as you start to gaze upon the full moon. The wind's weaker then it was last time. The moon glistened with power and displayed like a piece of art for all the people of the city to notice. You crouched to take your bag off to get out your camera. Luckily it has night vision built in. You then press record. Your hands hold the camera in-front of you and focus at the special white sphere of night. "Okay. Hello everyone, I'm documenting on a abnormal discovery that I came across a couple of nights ago. I might have made first contact with alien life. The said alien, looks like a...Unicorn with wings or known as a Alicorn, from what it told me, the first time I saw it," you begin while looking at the view finder of the camera. "The creature went by the name of Nightmare Moon. I know this all sounds ridiculous but believe me when I say, this thing is real. I was given a sign; in my dream, to come back here for some reason. Days later this shows up on the moon which was ALSO in my dream. This is not a normal moon activity...from what I...very little know," you admit shamefully. "It possesses what seems to be, from games and movies, magic powers. Like Harry Potter only with Alicorns. The only pieces of lore I could find, were a cartoon show called 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' but I doubt it'd relate to the thing I saw the first time." You take a moment to breath and turn the camera to your face with it a good distance away. "The thing I saw was the reapers steed, eyes like a beast and had power of a demon," your hands begin to shake slightly from memorizing the moment of pure darkness that opened your eyes to the bigger world above. "It's plans were to somewhat conquer the world. But not our world, a world called Equestria. But she might come back to take our world by herself or perhaps with an army. The reason I'm recording this is to...maybe somehow prove to my friend Nikki I'm not a liar and maybe to help people believe there's life above ours. Heck, maybe we can even try to understand these creatures and there way of living," you admit shyly to the camera. You never had it easy talk about things, especially subjects of life and what's beyond. All around, you were more on the introvert side then anything. Even around your friends, you still hid the person you are. Around you, the wind begins to pick up and the branches began to shake with the leaves beginning to fall. The sound of the cold wind almost resembles a wolf howling to the moon. The windy atmosphere was then accompanied with a low pitched warping sound. You quickly face the camera towards the moon again. It was glowing as bright as a candle while looking very warped from your perspective. Fast barrages of lightning started to form in-front of you, the charges were merging together a ball of pure energy while almost looking like its moving to you. Your legs are locked in place as you stare deeply into the sparking ball of light. Your eyes widened with shock and curiosity, the skin of your back neck began to tingle and run cold. 'I should probably move!' But before you could even move an inch, the ball in the sky moves towards you while it shrinks instantaneously to then explode near you. Not killing you but giving you decent amount of impact on you to send you flying, slamming your head on a large log on its side. A ringing was blasting in your ears with your vision blurring. Your body has lost all sensation and control; your arms lay dead on the grass, luckily the camera was still on your right hand thanks to not just your gripping but built in strap. You tried to move but the knock on your head temporarily immobilized you. While you can still barely see, a being slowly approaches you. All you could see to stand out in your fuzzy vision was a particular colour before passing out. Blue. 'Am I dead? Or is whatever that was going to kill me?' Chapter 2.5: Dream Space II"Okay! That could've gone better," you say to yourself for only you to discover, you're still asleep. You were in a dimension of pure blackness and fog. Much like the last time, it was empty. But this time you were stuck laying on the ground, sitting up. Almost like the position your body currently is. But a question still lingers within you. Are you truly alone or is there something you're not seeing. You grunt as you try to get up. Its as if you're entire body was numb and completely dead. "Is this purgatory or is this a dream?" you wonder to yourself. "Don't worry it's a dream," said a familiar voice from around you. New footsteps could be heard echoing around you. You slightly jump from the sound of the person, but only a little due to the familiarity of it. It was your voice. "Wait...even in my dreams that doesn't make sense...how can there be t-" "Well it's not a dream OR a nightmare. It's like the grey area. I'm basically what you'd say: your subconscious," he began. "I tried to talk to you last time but you were already gone before I could get a hold on you." The other you lowers down to your level. Sitting across from you. You share an awkward stare with yourself. It's nothing like looking at your reflection. Because when you looked around, the other you still focused on you: you could feel his eyes were on you. "No offence but this is pretty w-" "Weird? I know. Don't worry about that, what you should be worrying about is what's out there when you wake up," your other self notes down to you. "You just got wacked with an explosion and passed out. In the middle of the forest. In the middle of the night." "Oh yeah! How am I going to wake up?!" "Well, I'm sure your fears can do that. Once the sight of fear comes in, you'll be waking up in no time," your double answers as he gets up and walks away from you and to be barely visible from your sight. "It's gonna suck, but it'll get you back in gear, trust me...I mean yourself." You just click on to what your other half said. "Hey! W-what did you mean by that?" you shout to him, but he was already gone. Blending with the night itself. You grow more concerned with your surroundings. As your eyes scatter around the room, you notice something alarming. The darkened walls were moving towards you. The lighting in the area was turning gloomy. Every second the darkness around you was closing in on you, your body couldn't get up still. You were practically pinned to the ground at this point. "Okay...other me? Get me out of here! Help! HELP!" you let out as you furiously try to struggle from the invisible grip. When it got close enough, you could see the darkness was spewing a fog like substance. It almost formed like long bony hands with extending digits for fingers. Little voices started filling the room, some sound young while other sound more mature. They were murmurs but you could tell they were talking about you. This only made your heart race quicker in fear. Your breath has quickened much quicker than before. You could see some of the hands scratch the floor beneath you, leaving scratch marks and creating screeches from hell. Just by your feet you could see thin lines of darken smoke wrap its way to your feet. The sensation was cold, like bad winter day. The sensation was now slowly crawling upwards to you. "HELP! HELP! GET ME OUT!" you screamed in fear, trying to squirm free. Just as you demanded, a ball light ignites. Casting the darkness away and leaving you blinded by a white light. You find yourself back in the forest. Just as the way you were. Only to look in-front of you, to find a Alicorn with the mane colour of sapphire blue, staring right at you. 'This CANNOT get any weirder.' Chapter 3: A Night To Start It OffYou remain laying on your back. Staring back at the newly formed being. Now this Alicorn before you was more peaceful looking. The black coat she once had was now shade of dark blue. Her manes colour was a stronger tone of blue. Her eyes remained the same cyan colour but weren't filled with mischief or darkness. She was standing right in-front of you, looking at you with curiosity. Her horn was glowing at the tip. The once blinding light was dying down to a simple flicker of light; almost the same power of a simple torch. 'Is this...Nightmare Moon? Or...am I seeing things,' you wonder inside as you kept your eyes fixated on her. Not just for her colour contrast, but for any sudden moves she might pull. "Are thou the one from before?" she asks while leaning her head forward. You could feel her eyes judging you, inspecting you. Your heart beats a tad quicker from her question. You weren't sure how to answer that question. Talking to someone new was already a task, but this was a little more than average. "Y-yes? You're Nightmare Moon, right?" you ask to make sure. While staying in your uncomfortable position of your neck pinned to a log. The blue Alicorn closed her eyes in regret. You slightly flinch at the arms for the worse to come. "We did not mean any harm. We were not entirely there," she answers vaguely in regret as she raises her head. You could see she was upset over what happened before hand. But something in your head was saying to keep guard, incase it was a trick. 'We? Is she not Nightmare Moon? I'll work up to those questions,' you wonder to yourself while slowly sitting up. "The pony thou saw, was us on the path of...darkness. We were not ourselves," she sadly tells you. "We are not Nightmare Moon." "Then who am I talking to right now?" She opens her eyes to you before introducing herself. "Thou may address us as, Princess Luna...or Luna if thou would prefer. What about thee?" You address yourself clearly. "So, Princess Luna. Where exactly did you come from?" you ask carefully while clasping your hands together. You aren't as nervous when you were with Nightmare Moon, but you were just unsure still about this Alicorn. "That differs, does thou mean previously from our last encounter or from our beginning?" she asks for clearance. 'Okay didn't expect that of all things,' you say in mind before answering. "Well, where were you wh- I mean, when Nightmare Moon met me?" you ask. You changed the structure to help Luna not feel guilty of her previous actions. Because to you, technically it was Nightmare Moon who you met first. Her expression sunken to a frown while looking at the moon above the two of you. "We were...on the moon. Banished there for a thousand years, the night we first met; that specific day was a chance for us to escape. But we somehow wound up in your realm instead of Equestria." 'Banished?' "Why were you...banished?" "That was a long time ago. We were misguided, misguided by jealousy," she answers vaguely. "If you don't want to talk about it I understand," you say to her giving her a caring smile. She herself exchanged a small smile. "Well...where did you come from? This land Equestria? Are there more of your kind?" you ask curiously while climbing onto the log to sit. "Why of course, but there are not many Alicorns. There are only my sister and..." she reminisces sadly when she brought up her sister. You could see her eyes were starting to look more saddened as her head began to hang long. "You have a sister?" you nervously ask her while tilting your head. She nods solemnly. "Well, have you seen her recently?" you ask softly. "Yes. But our encounter before that was not so...peaceful," she answers regretfully. "Did you have a fight? I mean siblings fight all the time. It's only natural -" "She was the reason we were banished in the first place!" she exclaims at you. The tip of her horn glew brighter. You slightly jump from the outburst of offence in shock. You freeze in place to assure her no threat. "Sorry! I didn't think that'd be the reason," you apologize to the angered princess. "Even so, you know she probably didn't want to, right? Sometimes people are left no choice in tough decisions. I'm certain your sister would've chosen a more peaceful route if there was," you inform her kindly while easing back into a more relaxed sitting posture. The dark blue coated Alicorn slowly calms down, as if taking your words more in mind. "No, we apologize. It's still difficult for us to come to terms with that, even after apologizing to her after everything that happened. We didn't mean any harm, we only wanted acceptance and to be treated the same, as the citizens praised our sister," she explains in sorrow. Her head faces away from you. 'A older sibling being more appreciated than the younger one? I've heard that song and dance number before,' you think to yourself. Now you were an only child but you grew up with friends who had older siblings so you can somewhat grasp the idea of older siblings getting more attention than the other. "I get you. Being ignored is pretty horrible, it makes you feel like you don't have any meaning. Like you don't exist," you tell her. She glances back at you, to then take a few steps forward with her hoofs. She examines your eyes with her cyan pair. "Thou humans, share an understanding such as that?" she asks peculiarly. "Well yeah, I mean not in the same level as your species; learning magic. But emotionally we're pretty similar on the inside," you answer her honestly. Your eyes caught attention to her sapphire blue mane that flowed like a peaceful river, that seemed to move freely with no assistance of the wind. Your mind was imaging grazing your hands on her flowing mane. You just weren't sure if it'd bother her. 'It just keeps on flowing, how...is that even possible? There's a magical TALKING horse right in front of me...and I'm asking that kind of question? You then hear her call your name. "Thou seem, distracted? Is there something in our mane?" she asks while brushing with her hoof. "N-no, it's just..." you hesitate. 'Well I could ask that question later.' "Why did you come back?" "After we were restored into harmony, the thoughts of this dimension started to flicker back to us. It gave us an idea to explore and possibly learn about this world. A different plane from our very own itself is a concept we never considered, especially one such as this." 'No offence to the human race and evolution but, what is there to learn from us to a magical intellectual horse? The human race has done a lot of things...good and bad,' "Well..." you began to awkwardly start while clasping your hand together. "The human race has a LONG history, so you'll have to be more specific," you reply back. "What was it exactly?" you ask her. She stood with a quizzical expression as if she didn't know herself. You seep out a small giggle to her trying to answer the question. "We aren't too sure. All that was certain was we had to return and find thee specifically. Thou didn't show any intent to harm us even in our previous arrangements; not that thou could. But we are surprised by the peaceful nature thou has given us," she compliments. "But there is one question we must ask, w-" before the Alicorn could breath another word. The sounds of snapped twigs were triggered. You sharply turn your head to find see if anything or anyone was there. "Turn the light off," you whisper to the princess as you pick up your camera. Using its night vision; you searched the area around the two of you to find anything. With your current position, you are in the presence of a new form of life; who's from another realm. If someone else spotted you two, it wouldn't go very well. It was quiet. Only the soundtrack of night was playing, a small breeze. Your camera hasn't picked anything up of human life or animal life. It seems whatever it was, fled quickly. "We think it'd be best if we took our leave," Luna states while lighting up her horn again. "Y-yeah, I think that's a good idea," you reply instantly. "So, how're you getting back...home?" Lunas eyes widened with shock. A sudden realization just knocked her metaphorically in the head. "Ah...well, there might be a small problem with that..." she starts hesitantly while circling her right hoof on the ground. You raise you brow curiously. "Why?..." "We stumbled upon entry by accident, we were successful to recreate the way we entered before but...as to return...that part is quite unfamiliar..." she tells you nervously. You stood with your mouth hung open. 'WHAT?!' "Y-you mean you don't know...how to go back?!" you clarify to her. "Do not blame us, we're only following how it worked from before. What did thou do to send us back?" she interrogates to you. "Me? I was too busy watching my life flash before my eyes as I though y- I mean Nightmare Moon was gonna kill me!" you tell her. The Alicorn simply scoffs at you for your rudeness. "We said we didn't mean any harm," she reminds you naggingly as she walks to the edge of the small cliff. "Oh yeah, dark demonic horse with magic; chasing me through the forest with intend on conquering the world or yours wanted, 'no harm,'" you say sarcastically to her with your fingers air quoting. The Princess of the night turns her head and walks towards you with her horn glowing more then before. Her eyes were like daggers, aiming at you. "We have said our part. Do not test the patience of the ruler of the night," she threatens as she points her horn close to your face. You froze in place with your hands raised slightly. "Alright, I'm sorry! I just don't know what to do here. This whole thing dragged me in out of nowhere," you blurt out. You then stare at Luna. "I mean we're both dragged into this, so I guess we should just try to work together, eh?" you suggest with a open hand gesture towards her. She weakens the physical threat and raises her head up to then walk closer to you. "We can agree on that term," she says before raising her hoof in acceptance of your handshake. As the handshake was taking place, you noticed it was getting late and thought it'd be best to head back. But there was obviously one problem. "Say, I didn't think things over myself. Like right now, I came to find something odd and maybe then head home but...now. If I went home then..." "Where would we go?" she finishes for you. "Exactly," you say as you look at the newly formed crescent moon. 'I can't leave her by herself. I can't exactly keep a magical horse in my room,' you ponder. "I don't suppose you have any transformation spells from where you come from? " you jokingly suggest to her. "So you can blend in for awhile till you figure things out." You both cease your handshake. "Well...we do have the capability of shape shifting, but..." "You've never seen humans before, right?" She simply nods. But her eyes twinkle with an idea. "But thou has seen many!" she puts her right hoof on your heart. "We could create a form, through imagery from your mind! We only need your consent for entry," she informs you. 'In my mind? She'll be...going into my mind?' "So you're going in my head? Like Xavier from X-men style?" you oddly refer to while placing one hand on your right temple with the other hand out forward. Luna only stood in confusion. "We do not understand your reference, but all we'll be doing is looking. Not entering; their both quite different," she teaches you ominously. "Now, do we have thou permission?" she kindly asks. 'She'll only see in my head...I guess it couldn't hurt...hopefully. Just keep it clean.' "Sure, go ahead...you have my permission," you answer clearly. Luna then proceeds to move closer to you. Her horn begins to light up in a cobalt blue aura and shrouds the two of you. Your eyes begin to grow heavy. You soon drift off. Everything is now pitch black. "Hmm it appears thou has seen many humans, some of them are very...peculiar...especially the women," echoes the voice of the Alicorn. "You've met all these people?" "Em...some of them. Just don't dive too deep okay?" you shyly ask her. "That's my personal space." Luna was basically reading through all types of humans you've 'encountered' as if it were a photo album. From everyones heights, shape, colour and to their complexion, she was scanning through to see what kind of human form appeals for her to imitate. "But the more we see, the larger the variety we g- might we ask why some of these women are fully cloathed while there are some here who are-" "Hey! I said don't dive too far! You're going to a shallow end there!" you tell her before she could even finish. "That's nothing for you to see!" you cover up with nervously. A small giggle could be heard from the inspection Princess. You may have a kind heart, but everyone has a dark side to them or something pairing in contrast. In your case it just happens to be a natural male instinct; But calling that your dark side is a bit much, more of hobby or interest. She continues to analyze the suitable pieces of information that you allowed her to see. "Is it natural to have blue hair in your world?" Luna asks. "Well, nobodies born with blue hair, but people dye their hair colour to change it to a different one, why?" "Twas only curious," she replies happily. "Does your kind wear anything resembling royalty? Or is it natural for all humans to dress so..." she critiques with the trouble of finding the right word. "Casual? Well it depends. You're trying to blend in right? So I wouldn't exactly turn up in a big dress or anything. Go for something easy to walk in and that'll help you blend in with us," you reply to the troubled being. "Even a simple pair of jeans, a sweater or a hoodie with shirt underneath. That's what I do at least." "Rrriiiight, you are aware that we do not know what these things are, correct?" "Jeans: Lower garments, sweaters, shirts and hoodies: Upper garments. Just think of what I'm wearing right now," you clue her in. A moment goes with no answer from the alien. "You know what shoes are too, right?" you playfully ask her. "We of course know about footwear, thank you very much," she scoffs at your witty remark. Soon the darkness lifted from you and allowed you to open your eyes once again. You blink rapidly from irritation and begin to focus on something new in-front of you. Luna was glowing blindingly to the point of resembling white silhouette. You see her change shape into a more humaneness figures. Her forelegs were now changing into more arm like appendages. The once royal hooves were now growing human digits. Her muzzle was becoming less visible. The glowing newly formed body soon became more detailed. Your eyes were wider than before, your jaw slightly open. The once Alicorn is now looking like a human. She wore black denim jeans and shoes to match. She wore a royal blue shaded zipper hoodie with a dark blue shirt with a black splodge on the center with a crescent moon over it. Around her neck was another white crescent moon necklace dangling from its long silver chains. Her obvious horn and wings were nowhere to be seen. Not even her tail. She practically blends into this new world to her, called earth. You were then blinded by her snow like complexion. It struck to you with intrigue. Like a nice winter day; where the pavement is fine to walk on and the snow's covering the land beautifully. The blue aura remained around the two of you, so you could see her full design in the light. Her eyes were shut throughout this whole transformation sequence. She needed to concentrate intensively to craft her new form. Luna then reveals her shining cyan eyes. They were sparkling with new forms of human life. The aura bubble slowly diminishes as time goes by. "How is...this?" she asks you while stretching her arms. 'No way...this is the same person, right?' you thought to yourself in disbelief. You snap back into reality. "Em...yeah, it looks fine," you tell her. Your eyes then lock onto her continuously flowing sapphire hair with the bright dimples that almost resembles stars. "Are we done here?" she asks with her arms crossed. "Yeah, we should probably get going." "Indeed." Luna proceeds to move one of her legs, but wobbled from taking one step. She let out a small cute yelp, as she quickly latches onto your left side for support. "Uh...you alright?" you ask to the young woman who was currently clinging to your shoulder. Her hands were clutching to your left arm tightly. This type of feeling sparked a feeling very unfamiliar. You felt your skin shiver into goosebumps and your heartbeat increased slightly. "But of course, we simply...misjudged our step...your world needs better construction..." she critiques with small blush of embarrassment radiating upon her face. Luna then lets go to commence with walking on her new two feet. You witness her trying to adapt to only using two legs. A smile creeps on your face with a little giggle to yourself. Seeing Luna -a alien horse- taking human form and try to walk was a nice piece of entertainment, a good start. "Need any help?" you throw out playfully with a genuine smile. She turns her head to you. "We...are...fine," she answers slowly while trying to master the art of walking. The young woman pauses her stepping to stand on one leg. "But...we could use your assistance," she shyly addresses. You walk up to assist her. She wraps her arm around yours for support. "Do not get any ideas, this is simply to help us adapt to your world," she spurts out. "Y-yeah, obviously," you reply as the two of you make your way out of the forest. "By the way, there's been some thing I've been wanting to ask..." "Yes?" "You say, 'We' about yourself...why is that?" you genially ask her as you both make your way back to your home. She looks away from you for a moment to then look forward. "It has been awhile since we've socialized with our subjects mind thee. We're not exactly 'with the times'." she answers shamefully. Author's Note Hey There Guys! Sorry For The Long Delay, Been Busy With IRL Stuff. Hope You Enjoyed Chapter 4: The Night To End It OnYou and Luna spent the walk to your place with small conversations about her worlds history from when she was around before being banished to the moon. While answering these questions she was getting the hang of walking on two legs. Now you and Luna were at the front door. "Here we are," you tell the young woman with blue hair. She observes the front white door of your home. "We must admit, your worlds architectures is something worth glancing," she admits as her eyes scope the exterior of the building. You turn to her with a amused smile. "Thanks, but this is nothing compared to other places. Like the richer or well known districts of the world." The key to the front door lock enters. "In we go." You both enter inside. The two of you are now in the small hallway. Two door ways and a stairway could be found: one at the left side and the other doorway was between the stairs and left side wall. Luna observes the interior carefully. This of course, was the first human home shes entered. "Let me just tidy things up, okay? Don't be shy to look around," you tell her kindly as you went up stairs to make sure your room was suitable for your literal special guest. She simply looked at the two options before her. There was the living room and the kitchen. Luna stood to ponder which to inspect first. Meanwhile, you tossed your bag near your bed and gently placed your secured camera on your small counter near your bedside left. "Okay, calm down. You just have a Alicorn from another dimension -who's turned into a human female- down stairs in your house..." you remind yourself while placing your hands on the back of your head. "You know what...that alone sounds...pretty alarming no matter what the circumstances." You take a threesixty look around to make sure the room was pleasant to the eyes. Luckily nothing stood out. You then quickly head back down stairs to accompany your new acquaintance. When you reach the hallway, you found the Princess of The Night observing living room. She was looking at the turned off TV. Before calling her over, you decide to watch her try to figure out the advanced technology. It was rather interesting. She would feel the face of the TV, to then stroke amongst the top of it. Unfortunately her expression was being blocked by the back of her head. "Enjoying yourself?" you playfully ask with your arms crossed. She jolts straight up from her knelt position to then face you. "We were simply -" You gesture your index finger to grasp her attention. "Why don't you try...using 'I' instead of 'we', when talking about yourself?" you suggest gently to her. Luna lightly coughs before continuing. "I..." she pauses with eyes glimmering with assurance before continuing. You nod happily to confirm she's doing well. "was simply admiring this...odd contraption, what's its purpose?" she asks curiously. "Human entertainment, we call it a Television. Or TV mostly," you answer her to then reach for the remote to then watch it flick to music channel blasting some form of heavy metal, loud strong strumming of the guitar accompanied with heavy battering of the drums. This made Luna flinch and back away in caution. You giggle to yourself at her reaction, until you could see her right hand rising and aiming at the TV. Her hand materialized a cobalt aura, as if she was about to blast something right at it. "Hey! Hey! Hey! It's alright! It's just music!" you explain to her slowly in fear that your precious TV could've been destroyed. Her arm slowly lowers. "We d- I did come across a box filled with motion pictures while looking through your thoughts...but it was much smaller than this..." she ponders while staring at the TV. "Apologies, some of your memories might have slipped our inspection. It couldn't be helped." "It's fine...at least it was a minor memory," you answer. "What you saw was probably my computer, that's in my room." Luna turns her head to you, with her sapphire hair continuously floating with no wind assistance. "May we visit, your...room?" she asks you with her eyes sparkling with intrigue. You both stood there in silence for a moment before making your way upstairs. 'Okay, relax...you're just walking a young woman: who's a royal magical Alicorn, to your room...no pressure' you say as the two of you reach the front door to your bedroom. You then let her inside your bedroom. You somewhat felt nervous for no real reason, as this was her first human bedroom she's seeing. Not to mention it's not like anything destructive happened since the last time you checked your room -which was several minutes ago. The blue haired woman walks in with wide eyed expression. She looks around your nerdy domain for all its features: superhero posters, your blu-ray collection of the Marvel/DC/Anime films and shows a like stacked in your personal shelf, which was filled with many geeky possessions. "My! my! This is a well kept private study! Even though I may not fully know what everything is," she begins while examining the posters on your walls. "I can see it has it's charm to it," she admits to then glance at your desktop. "Hazah!" she shouts in delight. "That was the box like contraption I saw! A...computer, yes?" she finishes with uncertainty in her voice. Even her facial expression crept a unsure look, especially when she locks eyes with you for confirmation. Which admittedly was cute to you. You softly giggle to yourself before answering. "Yes, that's right, Luna. That's my computer. I'll show you that later, okay?" you assure her. Teaching a magical Alicorn the wonders of the internet may require a full days investment. "Also...Hazah?" you repeat back to her with an idiotic smirk. She replays her phrasing back in her mind. Her face turns a light shade of pink of embarrassment. "I...You see...where I come from...it means..." she tries to answer with heavily applied hesitation. "...you simply wouldn't understand, being human you see," she scoffs with her arms crossed. You shake your head in amusement. "If you say so," you comply with her. You check the time on your phone. 19:45 You turn back to find Luna, sitting on your desktop chair rather comfortably: she stares through the window that allowed her to see the night sky. She was rather mesmerized by the view. "You have a wonderful view from here," she compliments while placing her elbows on the desk to then lean her head on her hands. This makes you move to sit on your bed, basically sitting next to her at her left side at this point. "Yeah, it's a lovely night. You can see some of the stars," you point out to her with a point of your left index finger. She leans in close to spot them out. "Indeed," Luna adds with interest but as she stares into the newly formed large crescent orb in the sky, it only reminds her the countless moons she spent banished. She lowers her head down slowly. You catch wind of this with a small corner eye glance. 'Hmm she's probably upset seeing the moon...maybe I can cheer her up somehow,' you thought to yourself. Your gaze meets with the large crescent orb in the black and partially blue canvas. Which sparks an idea in your head. "You know, not a lot of people appreciate the night as they should. It's actually quite peaceful to look at," you begin nonchalantly to cheer her up. The saddened girl looks up at you in curiosity. "You...admire the night sky?" she asks quizzically with one brow raised. "Of course, I find it more appealing then day most of the time. All the stars spaced out and the moon itself, is my favorite part in all honesty," you convey with hints of joy. Luna then turns the chair forward to thoroughly listen more closely. "Please...continue," she says curiously. You were surprised to hear her spirits enlightened. 'Well better keep it up,' "Well the moon always has some form of beauty to it: when the full moon shows up, that's when I try to observe it as much as I can. There's something about it that's so spellbinding," you phrase to her softly. "Also it fits well with the night's colours and shades, Blue and black, surrounding the white orb that is the moon," you describe to then take a breather. "Fun fact: when you look into the moon without blinking for awhile, you see a blue aura around it...kinda like...your hair or even your aura," When you take a closer look at your new companion, you could see something that resembles flattery. Luna sat there looking around the room, almost rather flustered for some reason and rather pink on the cheeks. She then shakes out of it. "My my, it appears the Princess of the Night has a little admirer from the human realm!" she teases with a half lidded eyes and a cheeky grin. "Oh ha ha," you retort back. "Just shedding some light on this dark time...no pun intended," you awkwardly spout. 'Nice one brain...nice,' While you were mentally thinking to yourself, the young woman made her way to sit next to you on your bed. When her weight landed on the bed, it shook you out of your thought to notice her. You couldn't help feel anxious. As your eyes met with hers, you could feel your nerves kicking in. 'Hey! Relax, man she's just sitting next to you. No need to get cold feet!' "What does one do for entertainment, then?" she asks innocently as her hair flows continuously with its speckled featured stars within it. "Well..." you hesitate at first. "That depends, what did you do on eq- I mean in general?" you ask nervously. Luna sits pondering for a moment. "Well...on nights like these, we would always gaze upon the night sky or... we would continue with our usual tasks," she answers nonchalantly. "Simply put, we don't get much...entertainment in Equestria." 'Still using 'we' again...I'll let it slide' you think before replying to her. "Well, I'm not exactly a normal human. I'm a little anti-social myself sometimes. I mostly sit around in here: either on computer games or if I have friends over, play some card games," you explain to her without confusing her with earthly entertainment. Luna simply tilts her head to the side in confusion. "Card...games?" she repeats hesitantly. "Would you mind presenting these...card games?" she asks curiously while looking around the room for any signs of these alleged cards. 'I mean, it couldn't hurt to try,' you think yourself in slight doubt as you reach under your bed to pull out a brown box that had been laying there for a couple of months. You then place the box in between the two of you gently and lift the lid off of the boxes body. Luna leans over to look inside the box to discover these card games. There were small coloured plastic deck box casings, all stacked from their sides. As you pull out of a red coloured box, Luna was trying to figure out what kind of cards were in the box. 'Hope she isn't expecting enchanted cards,' you think to yourself with uncertainty. Slowly your fingers pull out a few cards that were covered with card sleeves to prevent damage and dirt invading the cards. Luna's head immediately shifts to your hands to see the face of the cards. With a swift turn of your wrist, you show her one of the cards. "Blue...Eyes...White...Dragon?" she reads out confusingly. "What type of cards are these?" she asks while staring at the art of a large pale white dragon with blue eyes. "Well, it's a trading card game called: Yu-Gi-Oh and it's been around for at least a decade, it's pretty fun...until they brought in Pendulum Summoning, which I won't get into right now," you begin to show your nerdy side while explaining the games rules. "But if you're still interested, we could just play with the simple rules first. If you want," you offer while giving her the navy blue deck box. She reaches out for it, to then pull out stacks of the cards inside it. "We see, and what purpose does this game have?" she asks while examining the cards in her newly formed hands. She slightly fumbles the cards in her hands but manages to keep control. "Well it's kinda fun when you get the right type of deck and know the rules better," you answer as you look through your themed deck. "I've played this game since I was ten years old and I've got a few good decks in here," you boast while tapping the box. Luna nods while reading the cards descriptions: admittedly watching her read the cards was a cute. Her analyzing the effects of certain monsters was a sign of hope in your eyes. "So...what type of...deck, is this?" she asks gesturing the deck in her possession. You squint your eyes, analyzing the blue deck box. "If I'm right, that is the spellcaster deck. With some combo spellcasters and equip cards," you inform her kindly with a hint of confidence. "And what of that one?" she asks while pointing to the box in your possession. Your pride and joy that is your first deck ever created. "Dragons, this one crushed everyone back when I was younger. It had some ridiculous combos and chains, it's pretty broken. Especially with the latest cards now a days," You had an interest in dragons and thought it'd be fitting to have a dragon themed deck. "So would you be interested in a game?" She sat looking at the cards once again before answering. "Very well...we shall partake in this game of cards," she complies as she pulls out the rest of the cards from her new spellcaster deck. "You will instruct us how the game is played, yes?" she assures you with eyes of innocence. "Of course," you reply with a nod. You then lift the box down gently and proceed to take out your deck. 'Don't want to demolish her right away,' you think to yourself: as much as it would be fun to blindside her in the game, it's much more fun and fair to you when the person knows what their doing. "For starters, shuffle your deck around." You proceeded to teach her the phases of the game and what each stat on the cards meant. She understood the reasoning's quite well. Even if she seemed unsure still, you gave her a small manual to remind her of any steps she makes. "Alright, let's duel!" The game began with eight thousand life points. She went up first, thanks to a coin toss. "Remember, only monsters with four stars can be normal summoned," you remind her. She summons her monster successfully, but she tries to attack at you immediately. "Can't do that, you have to wait a turn to attack I'm afraid," you alarm cockily. "What?! What kind of duel is this?!" she questions furiously. "You don't wait on your opponent to summon their troops. If the enemy is weak on the battlefield, you strike!" she declares with pride. 'Tell that to most Final Fantasy or RPG games,' "Sorry, Luna I didn't make the rules." The young woman quietly huff. "Fine, we shall comply for now..." she ends her turn from there. "If you have any spell or trap cards that you think might come in handy, don't forget to place them behind the monster cards." "Yes yes we understand the use of support spells and curses," she replies with hints of inheritance. You keep your eyes on your hand. "Also, you're doing it again. Try using 'I' instead of 'We'," you critique her jokingly. Now in your hand were some strong dragon cards with powerful effects mixed in, but the trouble was they were at least level fives. Sadly in traditional Yu-Gi-Oh fashion they can't be summoned so easily. 'Aw come on! Not one lower tier monster?! Of all times?' you shout in your head while retaining your poker face. You place two cards face down in the spell and trap zone. "Your turn." The game continued on. You manage to summon some monsters. Luna threw some good combinations with the Fortune Lady cards she had: with each turn their attack points increased on each of her standby phases and with a unique ability to aid her in demolishing you. She's barely used any of her spells or trap cards she placed early on in the game. With some luck, you too drew some cards to aid you as well: such as The Swords of Revealing Light, buying you more draw phase time and planning. Which eventually brought you your one of many trump cards. Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon the tool to bring forth your other stronger arsenals, once each turn it allowed you to special summon a dragon type from your hand or graveyard. You're both around two thousand life points. But you had something else planned. A very nostalgic and known monster was waiting to be summoned, like in the show it was calling for you. The pieces to summon it are all finally in place and now's the best time and the best way to finish the duel. Your inner duelist was becoming more apparent. With a cocky grin that read to Luna as 'I've won this.' "What are you smirking at?" she asks with arrogance. "Sorry Luna. But this is it! I'm going to demolish you!" you declare like you were like an actual Yu-Gi-Oh character: but with a subtler hairstyle. "I use the spell card Polymerization! To then fuse my three Blue Eyes White Dragons to bring forth..." you place your merged monsters into the graveyard and pull out the fused result from the fusion deck with haste. "Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! The three headed dragon!" Luna softly gasps at the paper card as if it were really there. "Four thousand five hundred attack?! That's madness!" she scoffs in fear. "I also use my Red Eyes Darkness Dragons effect to special summon a Blue Eyes White Dragon back from the graveyard," you declare with a victorious turn. "And all you have is a Dark Magician and a Lady Fortune Dark...not bad but I'm afraid it's game," you state confidently. You then command your Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon to attack her Dark Magician. "Not really..." Luna disputes calmly with her one hand reaching for a face down card. 'Wait...no...don't tell me...that's not what I think it is!' you scream mentally with your eyes widening in sheer panic. "I active Mirror Force...and reflect your attack back, destroying all your monsters!" Your jaw slightly drops in shock. '...YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING!' you then end your turn with a face down monster in defense mode. 'Hopefully she won't go for it or I'm done for!' You can see the fire in Luna's eyes that were flickering with righteous victory. "I attack your face down card with my Fortune Lady Dark," she declares her first attack, which forces you to remove your weak monster from play. "I now finish this with my Dark Magician and with the Magic Formula equipped to him, It's more than enough!" she states confidently. With no form of defense in your disposal you have no choice but to take the damage and lose the duel. "I can't believe you actually beat me..." you say in disbelief. Meanwhile Luna was giggling with joy across from you. "Hazah! The fun has been doubled!" she proclaims loudly to you. "That was...fun, to say at least," she reverts back to her cooler demeanor. She then proceeds to gather her cards back together. You too gather your cards together. "Yeah. That was pretty good for your first time..." you then realize what you just said sounded quite open. "At card games!" 'Nice one brain...' you quickly finish while returning the deck box to its previous place. As does Luna. After a moment of silence goes by, you get off your bed. "Well, it's getting pretty late we should probably get some...sleep, wait I just realized something..." Luna remains on your bed, while looking at you. "What?" she asks innocently. "You'll need something more comfier to sleep in. I'll get you something that'll hopefully fit," you tell her as you make your way to your dresser drawer to pull out some pajamas. "Are you sure that's necis-" "Don't worry," you interrupt her to bring her pajama bottoms and shirt. She gently takes them from your hands. "If you insist," she complies quizzically. You then make your way to the door. "I'll let you get changed, let me know when you're done," you inform her before leaving the room to then gently close the door all the way. "Thank you!" she lightly shouts through the door. "No problem" 'Best way to not make it awkward as possible,' you think to yourself as you lean your back against the door frame. The only sounds that could be heard were clothes being removed from the body and slight sounds of ruffling of fabric. Your mind began to slip into many images of what was being revealed and happening inside your own room. Which also brought flashbacks to a film called American Pie and of a particular scene. But as the scene played in your head, your mind then swapped the two characters for you and Luna and at that point you shook your head rapidly to clear your thoughts. 'No! No! No! No! That is DEFINITELY not happening...even though she's now a human female...in my room...getting changed. Wait could she have possibly given herself a particular piece of under- No! Stop that! She's from another world, learning human things. I wouldn't and shouldn't take advantage of her or the situation!' you vow to yourself internally. You then hear your name being called. "Yeah?" "Your pajamas are quite comfy!" she addresses in a satisfied tone. "You can come in now!" she tells you nicely. Once you stepped inside, you look to find Luna standing there, wearing your blue wool pajama bottoms and black shirt. It'd didn't match each other at all but you hardly cared due to them being simply pajamas. "Even though I could've just made my own sleeping gown, I'll happily wear these for the time being." "You look...nice," you reply with a gulp and rapid blinking. 'She looks kinda cute,' Luna could see right through you. "We m- I must admit, it was a shock when you walked out the room like that. I thought you'd at least try to take a gander at us, me undressing," she confesses with a cheeky grin. "But it seems there's a gentleman in you after all," the grin then fades into a soft smile. Your cheeks began to turn pink and the warmth of them was sinking in. "T-Thanks...So I was thinking: since I only have one bed...you can sleep here and I'll take the couch in the living room," you inform her. Luna tilts her head to one side. "Are you sure? It is your bed after all, I wouldn't mind taking this couch, you speak of," she proposes to you innocently. This made you take a step closer towards her. "No no, it's fine really. I'm more than happy for you to take the bed," you assure her gently. Luna then leans back and lands on the couch. She then brings her whole body in at the middle of the bed, sitting with her legs together pointing towards the bottom of the bed and her right arm holding up her upper body weight that's leaning towards the pillows. "In fact, why bother take the couch. Why not sleep with me?" she asks innocently. You had to blink rapidly to clarify what you heard. "I-I'm sorry?" you ask in hesitance. "I mean," she began to draw circles in the bed sheets with her index finger. "What's wrong with a male sleeping on the same bed as a woman, who's merely an associate? It's not like you'd try to pull any tomfoolery, right?" she assures to you with half lidded eyes and a devilish grin. You're face was now almost the same shade of a fresh apple. You were trying to process what was just said. 'Wait...is she saying what I think she's s- OF COURSE, YOU IDIOT! WHAT ELSE COULD SHE MEAN? She's not thick,' you thought to yourself. 'Say something quickly before she suspects something!' "No of course not! I just thought you'd be comfortable knowing I was downstairs- I mean in the living room. I mean I'm pretty sure you don't want some guy whom you just met...sleeping next to you, right?..." A moment of silence fills the room. Luna stares into your eyes to find anything that feels like your speaking lies. You could feel some awkward tension in the room begin to brew. You quickly get yourself a pair of pajamas. "Well em, good night, Luna! If you need anything don't be shy to get me, okay? Night!" you tell her before heading downstairs in a hurry. Leaving the Princess alone to herself. She softly giggles herself. "My...I didn't expect that kind of response," she says to herself in pleasant surprise. "But it's nice seeing what kind of...human he is," she notes to herself to then lean back on the bed. "He may be a young maturing male, but he acts like little foal," her lips then form a gentle smile while looking at the roof. Meanwhile you, got dressed for bed and dug out a large towel to cover yourself in. You didn't want to go back in after such an awkward conversation with her. But as you curl up in a ball of sheer embarrassment, your mind had other priorities. 'YOU. COMPLETE. IDIOT!' Author's Note Over 500 Reads! I Never Expected That So Early! :D Thank You All So Much! Hints of fog were covering your ankles with a chill tingling them. "...What the hell is this place?" you ask yourself as you slowly stroll around the dimension of darkness. You then remembered the last time you were here and quickly look around for any creepy claws slithering around to grab you like last time. "Don't worry, no ones around...well except for us two," says a familiar echoing voice. It was your own voice talking to you. "Hey! Where are you?!" you shout out while scoping the area. "Turn around." The voice sound much closer from before. Before hand it was almost as if the host was anywhere, but now it feels more focused in the one direction. You then slowly turn your head to find yourself facing...yourself. You jump slightly from the sight of yourself that wasn't from a mirror. "Relax, buddy. I mean no harm," he tells you while presenting his hands up in the air slowly. You back yourself away from doppelganger in caution. "Oh yeah, because the last time we spoke: you meant no harm what so ever! Thanks by the way!" you say sarcastically. The other you sighs. "Look that was a bit of a...dick move but hey, at least you woke up right?" he asks rhetorically with a cocky grin on his face. "Yeah well what if I ha-" The double strolls around the night dimension like it's a common walk in the park. "So you seem to be having fun out there with your new friend," he notes nonchalantly. "Well..." "And this Luna, seems to be having fun also," he reminds you. "Well it's barely her first day. But it's a start somewhere." "And she seems to be doing well," he starts. "How long's she staying for again?" he asks instantly. You move towards him. "It's...complicated. It seems she doesn't know how to return to Equestria. Even though it should be simple as t- " "Yeah, so I heard." A moment of silence goes by. "How about a change of scenery?" he says with a quick snap of his fingers to create a grassy field that sporadically rises from the ground beneath the two of you. The dark sky then unveils a into a sky blue colour with the sun rising. He sits down on the earthy ground. While you remain standing. "So...what's the plan buddy?" he asks. "A being from another world trapped on earth with a human. Typical," he scoffs. You stand thinking of an answer for a brief moment. "Well...I'm the only one here who can really help her out." "But yet, the two of you are still on the learning phase of all this: No offence but you're socially awkward and have no clue what to do. Yet she in a way, she's on the same boat, only with higher knowledge," he briefs out loud. "I mean why did she come here in the first place?" he asks genially. Your mind rewinds back to the talk you had with Luna back in the forest. "She said she wanted to explore and learn things about Earth and humans. Not sure what exactly, but that's what I got out of it" you answer. "Shouldn't you already know that?" The one on the floor ponders to himself. "I'm just making sure." "She said she had to find...me specifically and wants to learn things about...us humans. Like maybe our history or...maybe how we as human beings interact with one another...I don't know." The other you gets up quickly with a jolt. "Well if she wants to learn more about humans...why not show her yourself? You know?" he persuades. You merely give him a quizzical look. "Take her around town and let her see how different humans are compared to her people! Huh? Show her a good time!" "What?!" you shout as the nerves shiver around your body. "Not like that pervert. Unless things work out that way, go for it," he jokes while giving you a light jab to the side. "Think about it! If you show her around it'll help her advance on her human knowledge." "And it could help us get to know each other a little better," you begin. "We could possibly learn a lot of things about one another: not just personality wise but in culture, history and all kinds of things. Yeah, I think she'll love it!" "Well then it's settled: Forget about the bad! You show her around as much as possible and...have fun while doing it! Good luck!" he says while walking away and then fading away with a faint sound of fingers being clicked. "Hey wait!..." You then collapse to unconsciousness. The world around you begins to disappear. Chapter 5: A Day TogetherThe morning sun soon sets for a new day. A new day for both you and your new roommate. You wake to the sound of the alarm in your phone. With a high pitch ringing and heavy buzzing, vibrating the couch arm near your head. 'Oh c'mon...I thought I changed that alarm!' you think to yourself as gradually raise your upper half. With your eyes still half shut from still being half asleep. You sloppily swipe the phones screen to shut off the alarm. "Eh...shut up..." you mumble to your mobile device. 09:45 This specific alarm was when you would go to college back awhile ago. You could've sworn you switched it off ages ago, but your phone was known to have a few peculiar errors from time to time. 'Uh...It's way too early in the morning...' you complain to yourself. 'I should probably, wait...am I nuts? She's probably still asleep. After all, it probably was a lot for her to take in. Eh it couldn't hurt to try,' you think to yourself with your half woken brain. Eventually you sit up from your temporary bed and got off its comfy surface to drag yourself to the bottom of the stairs. With care, even in your state: you carefully ascended your way to the door of your bedroom. You place your hand on the handle and gradually turn it. You then poke your head inside: from what you could see, Luna was nowhere in sight so instinctively you brought yourself inside the room fully. Once you settled in, in the corner of your eye you noticed the human princess sleeping in your bed still. She sleeps peacefully, wrapped in your covers. She lays on her side facing you with her right arm buried under the pillows while the other was laying close to her chest. You couldn't help but focus on her continuously ever flowing hair of hers, even as she sleeps it gently flows like a blue river. Her facial features weren't much due to her being unconscious, but she looks rather content. You couldn't help but smile tenderly at the sight of her at her slumbering. 'I'll let her sleep for a little longer. Plus, I'd rather not see how she is when someone disturbs her beauty sleep,' you think as you sneak your way back out the room to then quietly close the door and head back downstairs. You then go to the kitchen and prepare something up for Luna. Even if you had no idea what she eat, it was only common courtesy for you. Especially when there's a guests present. 10:30 You finish up with Luna's breakfast. With a plate laying on a free counter, you gently dump the food on to the plate. You gave the plate alternate choices in case Luna had a different diet preference, due to be an Alicorn and from a different world. Soon afterwards, you make your way upstairs. Slowly and gradually you enter in your occupied room once again but with a plate full of food in your hands. Your eyes lock with the young woman laying on the bed comfortably snoozing away. A small warming smile began to creep on your face. She seems quite at piece. Soon your feet move you closer to the bed and with a free hand, you give her a light shake at her left shoulder. "Hey," you whisper gently to her. She heard your command as she lightly groans and turns away from you. She pulls the covers more into herself and gets comfier. 'I guess even Princesses like to sleep in,' "Hey, I made you something. I mean some things: I didn't know what you ate so I got a few things for you," you explain to her gently while placing the white plate on the bedside counter. Luna turns her head to you with her cyan eyes slightly squinted, to then sit up while trying to analyze the current moment. "W-what has thou...I mean, what have you...brought me?" she asks slowly as she's still half asleep. Before you could answer, you took the time to notice how neat her hair presented itself. It was like "Well I'm normally a meat kinda guy, but I had no idea what to make you. So I didn't want to disturb you earlier and I tried out different things," you begin, with your right hand gesture to the plate. "I made you some toast, some strips of bacon with eggs. If none of those don't work for you, we could g-" "Hmm...the burnt bread could suffice," she answers slowly, "The rest of it, I'm afraid will not." You then pick out a piece of bacon off the plate. "I'll take that," you proclaim before taking your bites. Meanwhile Luna pinches at the toast that was slightly burnt. "Yeah, sorry if it's a little crispy." She takes nibble bites at the toast. She samples the texture and flavor. She then takes more larger bites, possibly enjoying it. "It's fine." "Well I'm glad something works," you say as you finish up on the eggs. "How'd you sleep?" "Fairly well, your bed is quite lovely. And yourself?" she asks. You pause for a moment, trying to reflect on what went on in your mind last night. "Em, alright. Just same old stuff for me..." you answer hesitantly while looking at the plate. "I was thinking if you wanted, we could hangout together." "Well aren't we already spending time together?" she asks you confused. "No, well yeah. But I mean we could..." you quiet down while scratching the back of your head. You could feel some form of hesitance tingling at the back of your throat, it was as if there something was swelling up inside. She giggle in response. "Take your time," she tells you calmly with a amused smile on her face. "Sorry, I was wondering if you'd like to go out..." you saw a surprised on Luna's face. Her eyes were widened with shock. "Side! Outside I mean!" you finish hastily. "We could head out and have a nice day together, show you around the neighbourhood. How does that sound?" 'Damn it!' The princess with the sapphire hair crosses her legs and ponders an answer with her right hand on her chin. "Take your time, I'll go take the plate down," you inform her as you clear off with the empty plate in hand. As you head down stairs to put the plate in the sink to wash, in your head you were analyzing the conversation that happened not moments ago. 'Nice one, why can't I just say things normally? It's not hard!' you began internally as you were physically washing the plate. 'She's probably going to say no now, since I was so weird around her! Even beings from another world know how odd I am!' you think to yourself as you thoroughly dry the plate and place it in a cupboard and head straight back up the stairs to find your answer from Luna. You walk back into the room only to discover Luna standing in front of you. Her attire now, was her black denims and socks. She was in mid changing as you entered the room. Your entire body froze to the sight of her snow like skin on her slim figure that wore a dark blue bra, covering her breasts. You could however gather her bust size a bit more than you did before. She looked to be a C cup or a B at least. Luna stares into your eyes in shock of your entrance: her face was now a soft shade of pink of embarrassment while covering more of her exposed cleavage with her hands. She shrieks at you. "TURN AWAY PEASANT!" "Sorry! I'm so sorry, Princess!" you apologize with urgency as you close your eyes tightly. You turn back to head outside the room but you only slam your head at the side of the wooden door. "OW! For fu-" You clasp your hands over your pain ridden face. "Look I'm sorry, I'll take it your up for a day out. I'll wait downstairs for you!" You then carefully exit the room with a quick shutting the door. After a moment of pain you take your hands off your face and shake your head in embarrassment. 'Great...that's just great...now she thinks I'm a total perv now,' you think as you head downstairs and get changed into your outdoor attire. After the two of you took your time, separately, getting ready you stood waiting at the bottom of the stairs. You didn't want to risk another awkward incident with the embarrassed Princess. 11:15 Soon you hear your room door open and close again with footsteps approaching you. Luna appears dressed as she did last night with the black shirt and blue hoodie attached now. Her eyes make their way to yours briefly, only to move away from them. "Apologies fo-" "No no, it was my fault. I should've walked as soon as I saw you standing there," you intervene. She then takes a final step to be facing you. "I was referring to..." she pauses for a moment. "Calling you a peasant. It was a reflex due to the context of a peeping tom gandering at a Princesses form," she explains to you solemnly. "So I apologize for that." "It's fine. Any woman would react that way to some guy, walking in on them getting changed," you tell her with a slight chuckle. "Well maybe in the Victorian era, from how you responded," you reply with cheeky grin. Luna looks into your eyes again, but with a meaning of analyzing. "Even though...nevermind, where are we going today?" she asks, trying to change the subject. "Well I thought I'd show you around the neighborhood, you know?" "Oh, very well then," she complies with a cheery smile on her face. You place a hand on the door handle. "Shall we m'lady?" you playfully ask with a silly smile on your face while posturing like a butler with one arm behind you and the other opening the door. She gently sighs past you. "We may be out of touch still, but we can provide some insight. No matter what dimension," she scoffs to you. 'We. We. We. I guess she still prefers her slang,' The two of you finally head out from your quiet neighborhood and reach a bus stop that took a ten or fifteen minute walk up to. You didn't own a car and the idea of yourself on the wheel gave you a bad feeling every time. The weather was mediocre, on the chilly side but still mediocre: no ice or snow, but the cold feeling flooding the outside. You take a seat at glassy shelter near the bus stop sign. For you it was a natural and very familiar setting for you, but to Luna it something entirely new. You look to your right to find Luna looking at the bus schedule. She was analyzing the layout with her right index finger clipped to her chin. Admittedly you were curious as to what she might've been thinking. "So you simply sit here and wait for a carriage to come by?" she asks curiously to you while keeping her attention to the times displayed on the pole. You slightly giggle to yourself before answering. 'Carriage? Man, it really has been awhile for her,' you thought before speaking. "Well it's not a carriage, it's a bus stop for buses to come by and take people to their destination," you explain to her simply. "Buses? What do they look like?" "Like a very big car." "What is a...car?" she asks. 'Luna. I know you're from another world but...you're killing me here,' you think to yourself while silently inhaling deeply. Just as you were about to answer her question, cars were now driving by at a fast speed. Luna jumped and gave out a small shriek from the sight and noise of the cars going by. "Oh, I think I believe I found my answer," she states while watching it drive by up a hill. You giggle again upon her reaction. "Yep, those are cars and buses are, well longer and sometimes much taller," you explain to her. She then moves over to sit next to you. She coos after she sitting down. No doubt from the cold metal seats coming in contact with her warm figure. "Ooh these seats could be a little warmer." "Yeah, you get used to it." Time went by, as the buses around your neighborhood always had a tendency to be quite late. Soon after ten minutes a bus arrived from the bottom of the hill. You got up and told her that was a bus playfully and of course she throws a remark at you. When you got on board, you paid for both of your trips: even though she supposedly royalty she didn't have any of her worlds currency. "Thanks, driver," you say as you put both yours and Lunas tickets in your pockets. The two of you took your seats at the front, with Luna at the window seat. "Did you pay for both our tickets?" she asks while pointing to the near the driver. "Yeah, cause I'm pretty sure you don't have any earth money on you," you answer playfully. Luna then faces you directly. "Oh no we didn't mean to, I mean I didn't mean for you to pay in our expense," she excuses as her eyes lit up with a colbat blue aura which then surrounded her hands. Your eyes widen in fear as you then grab hold of her hands and press them down on her knees. You inch yourself closer to her so only she could hear you. "Luna, magic isn't exactly, normal around here. Be careful," you caution her in a whisper. Luckily no one saw as there was barely anyone here in the bus. "R-right, my apologies," she whispers in a innocent response. A moment goes by until Luna points something out. "May I have my hands back now?" she asks with a innocently cute tone of voice. Her eyes were darting side to side out due to awkwardness. You quickly let go of her soft pale smooth hands. "Oh em, sorry," you then return to your previous position but notice your destination was drawing near. "Oh that's us." The two of you leave the large vehicle and head towards a small populated city that you go to regularly for groceries, meeting friends and a large point of your high school life when you were younger. Luna kept to your side as guidance. "So this is a familiar place to you?" "Pretty much. It's not much but it'll have to do," you tell her as you cross the street with her by your side. You lead her to the center the shop filled street. There was a small McDonald's at one side and a local high branded grocery store ahead of it. In between them was a small car park that could fill about fifty cars, only about at least twenty spots were being used. A few other people could be seen going through their casual life. Some teens in groups chilling in McDonalds, families getting their things from the local food stores and so forth. Your eyes were peering out around the street. This particular street wasn't exactly terrible but most of the young locals were, mostly degenerates. They would always try to pick on people for the smallest detail on a person, even for something as hair styles. So the thought just occurs to you, maybe bringing Luna wasn't the best idea. In case someone tried to act as if they were all that. "So...what do you think?" you ask her hesitantly while looking around cautiously. With different possibilities going through your head. She took a three sixty look around. Her eyes were twinkling with interest with her mouth slightly open. No doubt surprised to how different this place was compared to her world back then. "This...is very different from Equestria," she answers first as she analyzes the cars up to the people closely. "What're the people here like?" You would answer honestly but given the crowded company around the entrance pillars and McDonalds it was rather difficult to. "Em, it depends on the day," you vaguely answer her as you look inside the McDonalds with the glass walls. It was rather busy the seats inside being packed with either large groups of friends or families. As you were about to leave with Luna, your eyes took notice of something inside the McDonalds. It was Nikki. You haven't spoken to her since the night before Lunas arrival. Now she was enjoying McDonalds wrap from the looks of it. Her eyes caught glimpse of your presence and she simply waves at you. You wave back to her. She then squints her eyes in curiosity at you. You drew a confused look on your face for a moment until you noticed the stare was going past you. You turn to find Luna feeling one of the pillars with some intent. No doubt her hair made her a walking open visual target with it being the gorgeous shade of sapphire blue and slightly twinkling. Thankfully it was a tad windy or else the motion of her hair would be an extra reason. "So prey tell, what is it you do around here?" she asks while examining her surroundings once again. 'Well...what do you want me to say?' you thought to yourself in a minor panic. You turn to wave farewell to Nikki to then goed Luna to follow you. You notice Nikki was watching you walk away with who she presumed to be a random girl. But there was nothing you could do for the moment. The two of you spend some time going through store after store, showing the alien around. She didn't react like you'd expect in some films where an abnormal entity living on earth and trying to cope with their environment. She was actually more observing then reacting physically for the most part. Of course you explain to her the simplest reasonings for these events. Honestly you felt as though you were boring the poor Princess to death and had no idea what to do to spice it up. Even if she looked intrigued, something in your head told you otherwise. You decided to take her somewhere with less people and more peaceful. There was a nice quiet forest path just a hill walk away. Something in your head told you to go for it with this idea. Less chance of confronting anyone or any issues in your mind. In reality, if you told a girl to come with you into the forest it'd sound a tad sketchy in their mind. You're both at the white rusted entrance fence of the forest. You look at Luna who looks to you in concern. "Is everything alright?" she asks. "Yeah, just pacing myself." 'Oh yeah, just failing to show someone from another world the wonders of earth: cause you're stuck with the dumbest person in this city.' You take a deep breath before speaking. "So, are you up for this still?" you ask her hesitantly. She was observing you with her cyan eyes, examining your figure and your face for something in particular. "Of course, you have my attention," she says with such confidence in you. "Oh...well then, lets get going," you say in false confidence as you move ahead, leading the walk with Luna following behind. The two of you walk on the gravel like flooring to make your way up the small flight of stairs to then be surrounded by thin lively bushes and leaves. Luna makes her way next to you, shoulders almost brushing each other. "So, mind if we ask. Why did we come here?" she asks as her eyes observes the natural environment of the woods in display. You walk over a small old built bridge as you were about to answer. "Well, I...I..." you hesitate to find an answer. 'Come on! It's a simple question, just answer her!' you scream to yourself internally. "It's in my opinion, more peaceful. I like it quiet. It just feels more relaxing to me...I just thought why not show you," you answer to her nervously. "I don't know..." "You're doing fine. I can see its charm," she encourages you. She wraps her left arm around yours in comforting support. "You know these planes better than I do. I trust your directions," she assures you sweetly. It was a surprise to see her acting like this. You expected her to make some joke about your poor people skills, but she seems to be much more supportive. With that encouragement boost the two of you continue to walk through the concrete path that exhibited a large forest with dead leaves decorating the ground and made its way to the pathway. The only sounds excluding the two of your footsteps were, the wind whispering gently and the trees lightly brushing along the ground. It was rather quaint. The two of continue to explore the wooden environment and taking in the scenery. At some points, squirrels would scurry on by and climb on the trees: Luna seemed to of enjoyed watching them roam around, which gave you a soft smile to see her enjoying herself. She notices something that you already knew about, but to Luna was extraordinary. "What...is...that?" she gets up gradually while tilting her head up high in amazement. You look over to the side and see the familiar tall white windmill that was built into the forest. "Oh that's just a windmill, it converts energy from the wind into rotational energy. Basically a substitute resource of power if I'm correct," you tell her. She gradually pulls you towards the large construction. "It's...enormous," she gasps as her eyes were entranced by the rotating landmark. "Are there more things like this?" She just stood watching it rotate over and over again. "Well there's a lot of them all over the world. Some less than others," you answer her. "We should probably find something good to sit on," you say while looking around the area for anywhere remotely comfortable. Your eyes then caught sight of an open space that had a perfect view of the city. "Over here!" you announce while gesturing Luna to follow. There was a decent patch of grass that had a tree perfect to lean on for one to stare out to the city and sky. You immediately made your way to the tree and slam your back into it. Meanwhile Luna stood gazing at the large viewpoint of the city and beyond your neighborhood. She gradually takes steps further ahead of you to get a good look. "Your world looks amazing from here..." she says while staring out to the houses and daylight sky. "Yep. It'd look a lot nicer at night though." She turns to see you, sitting against the large tree. "It's better when you're sitting down. You get to relax a bit more," you inform her. The standing Princess looks at your sitting posture and takes her time getting closer to you. You kept your knees pointing upward with your arms leaning on them. Your head tilts up slightly to spot her looking down at you. "Oh! Hold on," you alarm her to then shift your body slightly to give Luna a spot to sit beside you, giving the grass a gentle pat down. "Thank you," she sits down beside you with her legs close to her chest. Her eyes then focus to the buildings further beyond. 'Hopefully she's not too bored of this. I mean, I don't exactly know what to do, I don't go out much: only with friends to hang at their place,' you think to yourself as your eyes zone out to the sight of dozens of building from afar. 'What could she gain from someone like me?' But unfortunately your bubble was popped when you glance to find Luna looking at you with a concerning face. This slightly startles you which then starts her. "Is there something wrong?" you ask her nervously. "I was going to ask you the same thing. I'm quite enjoying our time here, but it appears you are having trouble to do so. Is there something wrong?" she asks you while turning her body to face you. Your eyes were now captivated by the woman in shades of blue. Her hair caught your attention once again, it just continuously flows gently. But sadly you couldn't admire it for too long. "It's nothing, its just..." you pause to look at the grass around you to only have a have latch onto your face to have it facing the recipient of the hand, Luna. "I could sense something was wrong, ever since we left the house. I'd appreciate it if you were honest with me," she admits softly while looking through your eyes like windows. To see what is inside the human home that was you. "Like how I've been honest with you." You take a deep breath before answer. "I just wanted you to have a good time here, doing what you came here to do. Exploring, learning and have fun doing it. But being with someone like me...how can you?" you admit sadly while moving lowering your head in shame. "I'm not exactly a exciting human. I spend most of my days in my room, on my computer because...I feel safer and at peace there. But when you said you wanted to learn more, I thought to myself why not I show you some things..." you shake your head in disappointment. "This whole idea was thought up on the spot...but all I've done is bore you to death. So I guess I only have myself to blame." "You can't be serious? I've been enjoying every moment out here: you've shown me how our worlds are almost common. Like how our inhabitants are no different from yours, but yet your peoples civilization have such advanced landscapes and technology," she proclaims to you to then move by your side and show again the view of the many different shapes of housings and buildings. "Your people have made all of this, with no magic but with your worlds creations: which I'm sure took a lot of time and progress," she states to you in reassurance and a soft hand. "You've shown me, what may be minor and almost nothing to you. But to me, it's a eye opening and interesting experience that only makes me want to know more!" her face grows closer to yours as she finishes her reasoning. She was so close to you that you could see yourself in her eyes. But again her hair stole your attention. 'W-what? She really enjoyed spending time with me? Even when I had no idea what I was doing? She's clearly and odd one...or maybe I'm the lucky one.' Luna then reels back and gave off a small cute giggle. "I also noticed you keep staring at my hair. Is there something I can help you with?" she asks playfully with a soft smile and half lidded eyes. 'Go for it! She's giving you a chance!' you gulp before asking the one question floating around in your head. "Would it be alright...if I touched your hair? Not in a creepy way!" She gives a look of inspection first before answering. She then shook her head softly and took your right hand and raises it near her hair. Your heartbeat began to beat faster then usual. The hand she was holding started to shake ever so slightly and without any other delay she moves it towards her hair. Your eyes widen as your jaw drops slightly. Her hair continues to flow while your hand was in the middle of her hair. Your fingers could feel the trickling sensation flowing through them. The entire feeling felt like you were on a boat and dipped your hand in the water as the boat kept sailing, to have it tickle your digits delicately. "No way..." you carefully move your fingers around to see if anything would happen. You close your hand and open it again to see any changes, but nothing struck out. It didn't matter what you did, it remained in motion and form. While this was happening, Luna has had her eyes closed and her head tilted towards your hand. It almost looks like she was enjoying the feeling: she was wearing a pleased smile on her face and holding your hand with care. You could feel a joyful feeling inside you. A feeling that has been distant from you for a long time. Not just a typical happy feeling either, this feeling was one of glimmering passion that you wanted to keep for much longer. Minutes go by and Luna slowly retracts your hand away and opens her eyes to face you. "How was that?" she asks softly. You were still blinded by the sensation that moment brought you. Your eyes look at you blessed hand: giving it a three sixty glance and yet nothing differed. "That was...remarkable...I've never felt anything like that before!" you answer in amazement. "What about you?" She gingerly ponders for a moment with a cheeky smile creeping on her face. "It was surprisingly adequate," she answers teasingly. "Now, may we ask you something?" "You mean, may I? But yes you can." She softly sighs while shaking her head at you for that remark. Luna then moves her way towards you, there was barely any space between the two of you already, but now moves in closer. Your legs were still split apart but you quickly move your arm to your side. Her body now moves in the empty space between your legs and she now rests her back onto your chest. 'W-wait what's she doing?' you think to yourself as your chest felt a sudden change in pressure and heat passing through you. 'Is she serious?' you wonder as her head gently leans on your left collarbone. Luna then looks up to the sky, meanwhile you gaze at her face. "Is this alright with you?" she asks nonchalantly to then shift her eyes to you with a innocent smile. You couldn't tell if she was trying to mess with you again or she's being serious. "I...I mean...I'm not against it. I think," you answer hesitantly. You don't mind physical contact but this might be a little much for you. But yet apart of you inside was saying let it play out. She giggles to your response. "Your heart's racing!" she informs you even though you already knew that. Having a female close up to your chest like its nothing would make any guys heart race. "Are you sure?" she asks again with a more playful tone. You caught wind at her game and decide to endure it. "Yes actually. I could sit like this all day," you boast to her with a cocky expression. "Good. So could I," she fires back with her eyes slowly closing away. 'Damn it,' you think to yourself as you remain trapped in this body pillar that was Luna. She remained awake for a couple of hours until later on she dozed off against you. Meanwhile you stayed awake the entire time: staring off into the city viewpoint, looking around the woods or staring back at the young woman who was before you. 16:05 The day grew darker as it was the beginning of winter. The weather grew colder and its beginning to show signs of dark skies. You look down at the sleeping Luna, using you as a seat and give her a soft shake with your hands. "Hey." She wakes almost instantly. "W-what happened?" she murmurs while looking around. "It's getting late, we should probably head back," you inform her. "Ah very well," she acknowledges to then lift herself off of you. She lends you a hand up. Afterwards the two of you make your way back to the white rusted fence entrance. "For the record, I've quite enjoyed our time here together," she reassures you. "That's good to hear." Soon you both made your way back to your home after a walk back and a bus ride back with a final walk. You both head upstairs to your room to have a relaxing evening. Luna rests on your bed in your pajamas now, inspecting your blu-ray collection. She's lifting them with her magical aura one at a time, reading the movies synopsis. "So from what you've told me: these are stories that have been sealed away inside these small...discs?" she clears up while opening up the casing to take the disc out with her magic. Meanwhile you sat at your desktop. You gently hang your head down in amusement. "Yep, pretty much. Some last up an hour and half up to two hours," you answer nonchalantly. Luna then looks back to the front cover of the case in her possession. "Hmm, what is Chronicles exactly?" "It's a found footage movie with three guys who get psychic powers and just mess around have fun with it and..." you stop yourself in mid description. "I probably shouldn't spoil it," you say out loud with a chuckle. "We can give that a watch at some point if you want." "That'd be nice," she says while reading through your other movies. During her reading, her eyes catch the sight of a small book sticking out in your shelf. "Hmm I never took you for a reader," she says in playful shock. "Sorry?" "I found a book here, what's Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?" she quizzically. "Oh that's a really old one. Basically two beings share one body, they constantly fight for control of the body. There's been a few films, a musical and I think a tv show awhile ago." "Oh...I see..." Luna replies faintly. "Why do they fight?" You turn around to face her. "Well Hyde is the dark personality of Jekyll. Hyde only wants to do whatever he wants and doesn't care for the consequences. Hyde and Jekyll struggle to keep control of the body while the other is around. So they both try to get rid of each other," you explain in your own way. "It's a genuinely a good story." Luna didn't reply. She simply sat their: staring into what seemed to be a paper mirror as she felt as though her previous form, Nightmare Moon was somewhat similar to Hyde. Her eyes shrink in regret for her times she was the evil part of herself. Her Nightmare Moon laugh would cackle inside her head, echoing over and over again getting louder each time. You inspect her gloomy facial features and move onto the bed next to her. "Hey, are you alright?" Luna just sat their looking at the book with no response again. "Hey, Luna!" she jumps when you reach out for one of her arms. As soon as you made contact with her: cyan eyes widen in shock, her head head facing you in a feared response. Her magic sparks in ignition and shrouds you for a moment and pushes you off the bed. The force of the push was a sharp strike to the chest. You land on the carpet floor with a thud. Your left shoulder took most of the impact. Pain filled groans escape through your teeth. Luna crawls to the edge you fell off of as she call your name in urgency. "I am so sorry! It was an accident!" she yells in shame as she hurries to your rescue. She slowly pulls you up to your feet. "It's fine, it barely hurts," you say as your left shoulder blades clicks loudly. "...That's normal. What was up?" The saddened princess returns to the bed upset. She keeps silent. "Luna...I could feel something was off there. There's no point in hiding it, we trust each other right?" you assure her. She look into your eyes but continues to keep silent. 'Hmm she might be a little tense. Maybe I could help her relax,' you think to yourself. "I got something that might help, do you trust me?" "Of course I do." "Alright then," you reply first to then make your way to your bed, behind Luna. "I'm going to try something and all I want you to do is sit there and relax. Okay?" She glances back at you with her left eye and nods with a faint smile. "Good. Have you heard of massages?" "But of course, but I've had very little experience...what are you attempting?" she asks curiously. You crack your fingers and give them a good stretch. "I think you can guess," with that you gently place your hands on Lunas shoulders and begin your treatment. You're no professional by any means, but you had some techniques in your disposal. Your thumbs press carefully into her shoulder blades: gently digging them into her. You hear a slight gasp from her. "It's alright," you calmly tell her as you rotate your thumbs in circular motions. She arches her back slightly but returns to her previous back posture. "Apologies...this...is quite new to us, I mean me," she breaths to you as her eyes close. Her breath grew heavier as her body began to feel more satisfied. "You're certainly talented at pleasing a Princess like this," she compliments to you in breathless voice. "Um thanks," you didn't how to respond without it being awkward but accepted the compliment well. "So, you wanna tell me what that was about?" you move your hands to her neck and tenderly rub the nape for a moment, to then change formation. You gently but hesitantly place your hands on her waist to press your thumbs directly into her lower back. "I felt a similar connection to this...Dr Jekyll character with his dark personality Mr Hyde?" she reassures to you, which you nod to answer her. "It brought back memories of the past...when we, I, was Nightmare Moon. All the people I hurt: the damage I caused back home...when we first met here, you saw the darker side of me that could've hurt you," she reveals achingly. "No matter how much good I do there will always be that dark entity that was me many moons ago..." she admits sadly. "Luna, you and Nightmare Moon might be from the same core and share the same body. But you two are different people and have different goals." You then swap your routine again. You clench your fingers and make your middle finger poke out as you then press it against Lunas spine carefully and rotate slowly. That squeezes out a entranced gasp from Luna. "Nightmare Moon wanted only to conquer and be in total control, right? You never wanted that." "N-no! Nightmare Moon was fueled by my hatred and jealousy of my sister! We both wanted our subjects to acknowledge us as they did with our sister! They all praised her for her sun, meanwhile we, were ignored. No pony gave our night sky any attention. We wanted to show them all what we could bring to them. Unfortunately that desire is what sent us away..." she clarifies in a upsetting tone of voice. "Luna...Nightmare Moon doesn't represent who you are. She was simply a bottled up emotion of anger that you had. Just because you did one bad thing, that doesn't mean that should label you for who you are," you pause your motions for a moment. "You only wanted to be acknowledged as much as your sister, you wanted someone, people to notice you for what you can do, for what you're worth...and if it means anything. You mean a lot to me: you're a kind hearted person, who only wants to see people happy. You can be funny, you can be smart, but if there's one thing that you definitely are...it's you're a caring person: even if people don't see it yet. I see it and I'm sure you're sister sees in you too. That's what makes you two different." Luna moves to face you directly in awe of your words. Her eyes were astounded by what came out of your mouth. "You humans...you know so little about our kind..." she deducts at first. "But yet at the same time, you know how we feel...perhaps that's the strong element that make us similar." Luna leans in examining you, her heading slowly reaching towards yours. Her eyes would go back and forth from your eyes to your lips. Like there was something there she wanted so badly. But her eyes then look at your aching arm and she stops her movement. "Turn around, if you please." You slowly but surely follow her command, like you were her humble servant. "Could you lay flat on your stomach for me?" "Okay...what now?" but before you know it, you could feel a magical pressure strike your left shoulder blade. "Oh...god!" you gasp in pleasure unintentionally. "Oh my! I didn't mean to d-" "No no...it's fine, you're doing well! Don't be shy," you comfort her. She decides to get more direct by sitting herself on top of you: bottom to bottom. You could feel hers hands caress around your shoulder blades for a moment. She then slithers her hands down to your lower back: at first her pressure starts off practically gentle but she gradually amplifies her pressure onto your lower back, digging her fingers much deeper. "I can feel a lot of tension in this area. I'm not an expert, but it feels almost like a rock!" "Really? I don't...know what...to...say," you breath out as Luna continuously digs into your body tenderly to bring you some relief. She leans in next to one of your ears. "Just, as you would say 'lay back and relax'." 'Poor choice of words Luna...VERY poor choice of words,' you think to yourself as you readjust a sudden solid situation in between your legs. Thankfully Luna didn't question anything about it. 20:05 Time has passed by and the time for sleep was calling out to the two of you. "Well Luna, I can happily say: you're a great masseuse!" you congratulate to her pleasingly. "Thank you. I also must admit, you certainly know where to focus on. If only there was someone like you back home, it'd be a pleasure," she admits but then turns red in the face due to the context. "I mean, for your skills! They'd be very much appreciated there!" You giggle to yourself at her expression to then head for the door. "Well I think we deserve a good sleep, so I'll let you get some early shut eye. Good night Luna!" you open the room door. "Wait!" You pause in motion. "Yeah?" Luna sat in the covers, twiddling her fingers out of nerves. "Could you...sleep with me tonight?" she places her hands on her face while letting out a nervous giggle. "I need to work on that." Your eyes widen with your lips sunken in like you just tasted something sour. 'HELLO! She's not playing around! Get your head out of the gutter!' "Um...I don't know...I don't feel it'd be right of me to -" "Please? I just need some company," she pleases sweetly with her eyes twinkling. "I'll make it worth your while," she persuades you innocently. You stare at her face in shock, to find no blushes from her recent remark. "Um Luna...I hope you understand the context of that last sentence you just said..." She gasps at the possible very unprincess like offer that came out her mouth. "Just for tonight? Think of it as a way of thanking you for what you said earlier," she informs with a honest smile on her face. You stood there pondering for a moment to yourself. 'What if it's a test? It can't be...could it?! No, Luna has been having some history issues and well I've got my fair share of problem: we did help each other out...GO FOR IT!' you snap back into reality. "Alright, if you're really okay with it." "I am. Trust in me when I say, you won't regret it!" she says happily. So you climb onto your bed with Luna. All warmed up in the cover and now with Luna by your side. "I'll only allow this once: if you wish, you may wrap your arm around my waist. BUT no higher or lower than that," she warns you. "Of course!" you obey. As you were both faced with the back of Lunas head with a small gap between you. "I'll let you know: if you feel cold, don't be shy to huddle up closer if you need to," you playfully through out there. "We'll bear that in mind," says the sleepy Princess. After a moment later you could feel your nose being tickled by the same hypnotic hair from before. You try to cope with it, but sadly only made it worse. "Something the matter?" Luna asks. "No no, it's just your hair. It was tickling my nose," you tell her as you inch yourself away from her. "My apologies." 'Man...this is so weird for people who just met, but hey it could be worse. Who knows, it might not be so bad.' Author's Note Welp There Goes That Chapter...Man Oh Man This Took Awhile. I Hope Ya'll Enjoy This One. (If anyone feels like it should PLEASE let me know as well) Anyways apologies for a bit of a delay (Life/College) Hope ya'll enjoy Chapter 5.5: Dream Space IV You find yourself outside in the streets that you've grown up in. It was quiet, too quiet. The fact that it was in daylight made it a tad creepier to you. You eventually move your legs into motion around the neighborhood to only find no one insight. No people. No cars driving by. Not even parked. It was as if you wound up the only human being on Earth. After a long walk scoping around the area, you make your way to the same bus stop you went up to this morning back in reality. Only now it was much more unsettling with no sign of other life around. But for some reason you felt as though you were being watched, you look behind you. Nothing could be found, which you were thankful for: you weren't sure what you'd do if you did see someone. As you turn your head turn back, your eyes widen in shock. It appears you've moved location without your knowledge. You were now in the center of the small city you showed Luna this morning. "Okay...what the hell is going on?" you ask to yourself quietly. You then meet with the same spot you stood when you spot Nikki inside McDonalds. You rotate three sixty to scan the area again: nothing behind you, nothing at the car park. You return your vision to the McDonalds to only discover a body chilling discovery. There was a silhouetted figure sitting where Nikki was sitting. The being had its arms on the fast food places table. It's eyes where glowing blood red, they were like the size of dinner plates. They simply focused on you. This feeling made you feel rather uncomfortable. You decide to back away slowly while keeping your eyes on the figure, but then notice more shadowy figures emerge out of nowhere inside the building. From sudden red lights to then have them materialize a body and they all watched you from inside. 'This is getting messed up...' You keep backing away slowly past the stony entrance pillars but then were stopped by a sudden obstacle. You jump in fear and turn to see a black hooded figure. It turns instantly with an abnormal shift and pace, all that could be seen were red eyes again. Daylight began to fade away to darkness. This darkness had no stars or moonlight. The only sources of lights could be seen by the street lights. But the only other sickening source came from the creatures eyes. More hooded figures emerge baring the same description. They slowly take their hands out of their pockets and begin to clench them tightly to only open them like claws. Your heartbeat races quicker from before, your hands began to tingle in panic. "Coward." You turn to see the recipient of the ghoulish voice just now. The creatures inside the fast food joint were gradually leaving the area and marching towards you. "Weak." Your head shifts to the small group making their way past the pillars. "Pathetic." "Freak." You sprint your way to the open space that was the parking spaces, but you only discover more creatures arrive, blocking your escape. "Useless." "Die!" The figures were beginning to crowd you in a circle formation. They repeat their words continuously in their growly aggressive tone of voice. "BACK OFF!" you yell at them. But it was pointless, as they were continuing their current orders. "Or what? You gonna pass out?" "Or are you gonna have a panic attack?" "You gonna cry?" "You're worthless! You have no reason to live!" yells the multiple creatures. Their voices became or echoed and distorted. "Living in fear? Then just end it already! No one will care!" You couldn't move your legs anymore, a sporadic feeling of restraints slithers its way to you. You look down to find the shadowed ghouls half submerged into the ground, holding you in place as their eyes focus on your face. As they held onto your caff and thigh, their jet black bodies start to stain your body and it began to slowly spread all over. "LET GO!" you yell out. "Don't struggle, it'll be all over soon!" Your breath quickens even more. With your head feeling light, your body tingles in shock as the figures close in on you. Their eyes getting closer to you. A sudden force latches onto your throat. It's boney digits squeeze you tightly, cutting off your air supply. You look to see a long skinny arm shooting out of the ground. A head slowly rise up and soon a body. It stretches its way past your height and stares down at you with a hunch. The creatures eyes were more squint then the other ones. It looked as though it was judging you. There was nothing you could do, you were physically immobilized and speechless. The alpha looking ghoul inches its head closer to you. Once it stops its movement, a flesh ripping could be heard from the creature but it remains unfazed. Soon the sound of crunching and breaking could be heard going along with it. A small slit could be seen where the mouth would be. The slit stretches wider from the sides almost reaching the corner of its jaw. It reveals its dark razor sharp teeth at you with a roar of a raging banshee. "DIE!" it yells. You could hear your heartbeat echo in your mind. Your vision begins to double. A flash of light strikes down at you and the tall slender creature, like a flood light. The radiance of the light began to burn the darkened creatures, making the once near you release their grip on you urgently. They screech in siring pain and distant themselves from you. Your body collapses to the ground. You could barely move yourself to get up. The light dissolves the weaker ghouls into blistering smoke. But the large one manages to escape from the lights range. But the light began to expand as the source descends down to the ground. You remain on the floor in agony, but you could see the feet or rather hooves of your guardian angel. Once they landed they expand the lights range and strength by unleashing an explosion of white light. The larger creature only shrinks in size and sinks back into the ground from whence it came. The area around you began to dissolve into dust. Even with no physical ground, you remain laying on invisible ground. "It's alright, you are now safe," a familiar voice calls out to you. After a moment of silence, you could feel a pleasant feeling flowing through your body. You were shrouded by a cobalt blue aura, a very familiar color to you. Your body then levitates by the users will, gently placing you onto your feet facing your rescuer. It was The Princess of the Night herself, Princess Luna. She stood looking at you with worry. You sigh in relief, as you stare at the Alicorn with the dark blue coat. "Wow...you're already popping up in my dreams?" you question with a cheery grin. "This'll be a funny story to tell her." "There'll be no need for that," she implies softly. "Wow, you're even speaking like her. Gotta give my dream space some credit," you admit to yourself as you catch your breath. She walks closer to you. "It is truly us. We're the real Luna," she informs you with a hoof pressed onto her chest. You start to question this whole scenario. "Alright, if you're Luna: the real Luna. Tell me something she knows, that I don't," you tell her while backing away slowly. "Then how would thou know if we speak the truth?" she points out to you. "Oh...right...good point. Well what can you do to prove to me you're really her?" "When we last spoke you, we said we wanted to," she coughs lightly before continuing. "'Make it worth your while,' correct?" she assures you. You think back to your conversation back in reality. "Yeah...you did, I mean she did," you say out loud. 'It could be her. But again sometimes the brain takes elements from things we hear and see and use it in our dreams and nightmares,' you think to yourself. "Sorry it's just I'm still suspicious about this whole thing, you understand right?" "Hmm then what will it take for you to believe us?" she asks patiently. "How about this, when I wake up: if you are the real Luna, you let me know that it was you. In any way, just make it obvious," you persuade her to her with an open hand. "Very well then," she agrees as she places a hoof in your hand. "Okay, good. So for the moment, I'll treat you like the real Luna." Her smiles grows more tenderly from hearing those words and retracts her hoof back. "Thank you." "So then if you're my Luna, I mean if you're Luna," you say with your cheeks blushing embarrassingly. "How're you here?" you ask with a quizzical expression. "How're are you in my dream? Or nightmare in this case." "We are the Princess of the Night. We have many tasks to uphold: one of them is entering the dreams of our subjects. We have decided to show you this trait of ours," she answers in her familiar royal dialect. "So you go into peoples dreams? That's pretty cool!" you express highly. "Must be awkward sometimes, I mean who knows what people dream of," you point out. "We have seen many dreams: some pleasant dreams, some unpleasant and dreams that we simply keep behind closed doors," she admits while looking around the dark void space that she shares with you. "Oh...well everything has their bad traits as well as their good. So why did you decide to show me?" you ask innocently. "How about a change of scenery?" Luna suggests to you with her horn gently glowing a white light. The once dark voided space began to shine at the ground between the two of you. A white pulse triggers in a rhythm on the floor: the pulse spreads around the seemingly endless area. Next thing you know, you see fresh grass grow out of the black ground. "Wait a minute..." you gasp as you look down at your feet. You then find yourself on top of a grassy cliff and by your left, you notice a tree. The same tree from the time you and Luna sat at. "How's this?" Luna asks you as she places herself next to the tree. Just as you were about to answer, you notice the skies been detailed with twinkling stars and a full moon was precisely facing down at the hill. "It's...nice! It looks amazing!" you answer excitingly. You slowly circle round in place to take a look around. The viewpoint was complete recreation of your home city but now with street lights and inside lights making the city stand out. "Come sit," she lightly commands lightly. You comply with very little struggle and sit by her side, with your legs crossed. "Like we said before, we wanted to thank you for your supporting words. By allowing you to see and understand what we can do," Luna then gazes at the stars, which made you do so as well. "When we are in the realm of dreams, we have much more control, more creative space. We enter this space to help others in ways we couldn't before," she reveals as the stars begin to align into a shape. The shape was of the Princess herself and another much smaller creature, like a small horse standing next to her. "Whenever some pony is in distress, we take it upon ourselves to help them." The smaller pony had its head head hung low, almost resembling sadness. While the other one places her hoof on the sad filly. As soon the two made contact, the sad filly raises its head to look at the Luna in the sky. "We wanted to surprise you with our arrival but, it seems you were already occupied with your own troubles..." she recaps to you solemnly. "What were those creatures?" she asks curiously. You then look back down at the seemingly real grass beneath you. Turning your head away from her slowly. "It was just a nightmare. Things made to scare me." "Things that scare you, things that you're dealing with...that's what a nightmare is made of. They build on specific traits and possibly memories from you to make you feel weak. It's best to address them soon or it'll only g-" "It was nothing." The two of you remain silent for a moment with only the sound of twinkling above you and the subtly sound of Luna's horn glowing. But soon you seep out a soft giggle. "It's funny. If I'm not getting a pep talk from myself, a talking magical horse is giving me therapy advice," you state amusingly. "Yourself?" she asks for clearance. "Yeah, lately I've been having conversations in my dream space with...myself, you know how weird dreams get, right?" "Of course, that sounds quite frankly nothing compared to other dreams we've experienced," she replies nonchalantly. "Still going with the whole 'We' thing?" "Our realm, our rules. So...what were those demons?" she asks thoroughly. You sigh softly to yourself. "I really don't know...they looked like people but obviously they weren't..." you deduct. "Yes, it appeared so. The area before hand almost resembled the city you showed us didn't it?" she asks rhetorically. "I'm sorry?" you face Luna in confusion. The Alicorn rises to her hooves and moves towards the edge of the cliff. "It's strange how some of those creatures wore human clothes," she starts. Meanwhile you sat looking at the body of the Alicorn in front of you. "The words they were chanting weren't exactly pleasant were they?" she asks. "Yeah...they were pretty messed up, but they can be ignored," you answer casually. "It takes time." "Do you hear those words often?" she asks innocently after turning to you. You take a moment before answering. "I...hear similar things when I'm awake, but I just try and shake them off," you tell her casually. Luna approaches you carefully and silently inspects you for a moment before speaking. "Would you like to ta-" "No, I'd rather not talk about it...please." Luna gently nods her head in understanding. "We understand, only when you're ready. But bare in mind the longer you keep it suppressed, the higher the chance of it getting loose," she cautions in her gentle tone. You sit looking back to the grass with a look of concern. "But if you want...we could talk about the demons for a start, if you want," you suggest to her. The Princess sits across from you. "Those demons of yours, they were dressed as ordinary humans. Is there anyone you're afraid of? People you're worried about?" "Well it's not really anyone in particular: it's just people in general. I've got nothing personal towards them, it's just how I am with people I don't know. Especially with the people in that street we walked," you began. "I've seen people get treated kinda horribly in that street, which makes me keep my guard even more than usual." "Have you always been this way?" she asks you as she inches closer to you. But before you could answer her voice jumps ahead of your answer. "Open your hands," she tells you kindly. You comply with your palms facing the speckled sky and Luna places her two front hooves in your hands. You look down at your hands: you could feel her dark blue coated legs lay in your hands. You look back to Luna's face to discover her eyes are closed, you soon then notice a glow emerging from her horn. The top gently presses against your forehead, causing your body to freeze. Before you could even ask, you could feel something tingling all over your head. You scan around the area to find ghost like projections of something circling around the two of you. You look back at your hands as a new feeling of soft skin has invaded your hands. Luna has reverted into her human form. "Luna, what're you d-" you stop as you took a second glance at the projections. They showed a perspective of a young child, playing games, running around and essentially everything. It was your childhood. Literally flickering before you like a film in a cinema. "H-how did you d-" "Like we said before, we have more liberties within the realm of dreams: with us in your...dream space, we have access to the information inside," she explains after she rose from her position. "For example, your childhood." Memories began to float and wander around in the sky, like a aurora borealis with your childhood glimmer through the lights. The colours would shift from a minty green to a soft pink shade to more variety of hot and cold colours. The two of you stand there as memories would play away. "Hey! That's me when I was... a kid," you point out. You were around eight or ten in this memory. You could see yourself sketching goofy drawing of cartoon characters from your childhood. Blocky, stiff and coloured like an amateur. "Oh, you used to illustrate?" Luna asks you innocently. You scratch the back of your head in embarrassment. "Well...y-yeah, I was big on drawing at the time," you admit shyly. "They were really bad. Honestly, I think you could do better than me," you respond jokingly. You both share a small giggle together. The memories above then warp into a new one. The next memory shows you playing, by yourself in middle school. You were sitting by your lonesome meanwhile the other boys played soccer on the concrete courtyard while another game was played in your school black gated pitch. The girls would stay in the groups, a good distance away from the boys and you. Your childself was sitting by the steps of the entrance, bored and looking around the area. You right now, look away in embarrassment of how you were back then. Luna however was analyzing your behavior back with her arms together with one hand raised to her face, her right index finger was placed on her chin. "Why didn't you play with the other children?" she asks curiously while keeping her head up. You look up again back at the memory cloud. "Well...I wasn't really into sports and girls didn't exactly know me too well or really cared. So I kind of stayed by myself," you reply nonchalantly. "I've always been like that back then. I didn't really fit in, it wasn't the funnest time for me." "Really? You're much different now...no offence!" she replies. You gently scoff at the remark. "None taken. It happens when you grow up. The childlike innocence slowly fades away as you grow up. Happens one way or the other." "Indeed, even we understand that concept." A moment goes by of nothingness. "To be fair, when I'm on my own: I can be myself and have fun without people judging me for it. That happened a lot when I was in middle school," you mention to her. "I was a bit more wild and reckless when I was a kid, like not in a bad way. Just I was more energetic as a kid but after a certain thing...that kinda changed." This peaks Luna interest and she looks back at you again. "What happened?" she asks with concern. "I'd rather not talk about it..." She then makes her way a step closer to you. "Did the daunting reality of aging finally click to your mind?" she teases at with a small smile plastered on her face. But of course you knew exactly what it was that warped your perspective. That's when that memory makes its way in your head. But when you did the memory clouds began to move in formation. They come together with the rumbling sound of a storm pounding away. The two of you look up to find a large spiritual cloud being formed above you two. The cloud then began to droop like a dribble of liquid on an edge, ready to fall. Moments later it drops down where you and Luna are currently are. You back up towards Luna, whom clutches onto your arms to then stands in front of you. Now the cloud was suspended in the air and internally swirling. It was in the shape of a large oval mirror. It remained in mid air with practically a thick fog face. The two of you stood in shock of the new materialization before them. The Princess moves towards the fog and gradually raises her hand towards it and prods her index finger through it to then retract it back. She stands pondering at. "Hmm, it appears to be a memory that's being blocked off. We can't seem to access it," she deducts thoughtfully. "It's as if somethings forbidding my access..." You inch yourself closer to her. "Wait what? How can a memory be blocked off?" you ask nervously. "When a memory is blocked it means two things: either it's a memory long forgotten or it's a memory that the owner doesn't want anyone to see...not even themselves," she answers with a serious expression on her face. "It's just odd that this just happened out of nowhere. Something had to of triggered for it to take shape..." Luna ponders out loud. She stood for a moment in silence to then look at you with concern. "What were you thinking about? Before it arrived?" she asks while trying to clear the memory with her magic. You watch as her cobalt covered hand gestures towards the fogged up memory. The aura latches on to the memory: trying but surely slowly fading in the footage that the bubble holds. You immediately lower your head in shame. "I said didn't want to talk about it..." As you had given that answer, a disoriented warp sound roars around the two of you, which came from the hidden memory. The memory was almost clear but was back to its misty veil again, removing Luna magical hold on it. "What?!" Luna gasps in confusion. She takes a step away, uncertain of the bizarre phenomenon. "What happened?" you raise your head as you ask confusingly. The shocked Alicorn in human form, look to you. "It...somehow refused to show itself, out of nowhere!" she answers. "It was a delayed response, so something just now caused a shift..." as she finished her thought, something finally clicked into her head. You meanwhile were looking back from Luna to the memory in question. A womanly voice calls your name. "Is what you're thinking about, related to this memory?" she asks reassuringly. You grew a quizzical expression at first but then you too, clicked onto the realization and remain silent. "It is isn't it?" she interrogates to you. "If these two things are the same, then you must confront this memory," she beseeches to you. "Whatever it is we can assure you it'll be fine," she reassures you with sincerity. "It's not...I just can't...I don't want you to see that memory..." Luna then approaches you with a gently coddle to your right hand. "If you do not confront your problems and fears, they'll only grow stronger and overpower you," she informs to you carefully while placing her right hand on your cheek. "We can assure you, whatever you may fear in this memory: you wont be alone. Not this time. But only you must face the memory: we'll be here," she reassures you softly with her cyan eyes that you stare into. Fascinated by the life inside the human windows that were filled with life and faith in you. You take a deep breath and begin to move forward towards the clouded memory. Feeling your hand gradually slip away from the smoothed fingers that belonged to the Princess of the Night. You turn your head back to Luna who remains in her spot with her hands clasped together. Your eyes then lock onto the memory you've been trying to avoid. Still fogged up but only you knew exactly what lays under its disguise. "Try placing your hand on it, if we're correct: it'll recognize you and by that point, you should be able clear the memory," Luna shouts to you delicately. After that piece of advice you commence with the first gesture of the hand, placed on the memory. Your right palm could feel a cold sensation, like touching a cold glass. With the heat in your palm where somehow vaporizing the smoke clouding the memory, starting from where your palm was and spreading outwards. The framing of the memory window begin to glow and crackle in pressure. You back away slowly back away. But after a few steps, the memory explodes into the sky. The memory was now in full display like with the other memories from before. You now see your thirteen year old self walking down a lane in the woods. It was a sunny afternoon. You've went down this path very rarely, which you thought was untouched at the time. You made your way a small patch of grass that was usually empty, which would be used to play a small game of soccer. You as of now, you were staring into the memory sky. You could feel Lunas presence is closer to you than before with a side glance. She stands next to you in support by the sidelines. "Hey, kid!" shouted a slurred voice. The voice came from a older male who was slightly intoxicated. He had a friend with him, luckily he was sober. He was telling his friend to leave you alone. But you knew what happened. The memory continues to play with a conversation between your thirteen year old self and the taller and older male. You meanwhile begin to look away and zone out from what happened next. Luna notices of your disinterest but keeps an ear out on what was happening. The conversation lasted for a couple of minutes: what was supposedly chit chat but soon turned bad when he placed his arm round your neck and then placed you in a head lock. "Let me go!" shouted your thirteen year old self. "No..." replied the drunk. "Please, let me go!" you plead again. "No," his lock grew tighter, choking you. After that rejection you struck him. Punching him in the males known weakness: which set you free but only for a moment as he pushed you to the ground and proceeded to kick you while you were down. Luna looks in horror with her mouth covered with her hands. The only sound that echoed were the kicks and screams from yourself from the past. Luna then looks at you to find out you were now looking down at the ground with a empty stare in sorrow. But the scuffling sound from the memory shows your escape into some thorned bushes which gave several scars on your exposed shins, which caused minor bleeding. Your past self then flees in fear, out of the forest lane. Soon the memory cloud slowly began to diminish into smoke that flew up gracefully into the sky. Once the smoke reached a certain height, they stretch out into individual memories that show your thirteen year old self once again, days after the incident. Luna witnesses the younger you coddling in your room in fear. In the dark. If not that, you were outside with a strong essence of caution and paranoia in your eyes, with your head constantly shifting around you where ever you walked. She inspects other memory smoke signals for any signs of change. They all showed similar signs of fear and paranoia. "I was like that for days. Months. It felt like three years back then," you confess while your head remains lowered. "Ever since that day, I've always been...kind of paranoid around people. That day changed me...but I don't know if it's for the better," you reveal as you face the shocked Princess. "It got better after that...until the depr-" The concerning Princess inches closer to you and wraps her arms round your waist gently. You could feel her head pressing against your right shoulder. Her hold on you grew slightly tighter. "We'- I'm so sorry..." "It's fine...I'm-" Luna loosens her grip on you to then lift your head up, facing her. "No it is not. You've suffered back then and you're still suffering even now," she states softly. "That moment turned an innocent human boy into...a young man constantly suffering," she exclaims tenderly. "In here..." she places her right hand on your chest, specifically where your heart is. "I didn't mean to bring back this kind of pain to you. It was only to help you move on. To help understand you better." "I know," You then place your right hand on Lunas hand that was on your chest. You look into her eyes innocently. "Don't worry...I know you didn't mean any harm..." you console to her. "I've gotten better...I'm basically who I was, just more cautious about my surroundings and people. Or that might be..." you reply nonchalantly. "Anxiety, yes?" she reassures to you. You remain silent. "Ever since that day, you've felt more concerned, protective for yourself and those familiar to you...kept your distance from people and even to places in particular," she deducts. "No one should have to live a life in fear like that, due to one bad experience." "I know...it's just difficult for someone like me to..." you hesitate to finish your sentence. "Move forward?" she guesses. You quickly nod your head. "Trust me when I say I understand how you feel," she confesses to you. "After what happened with me and my sister, it took some time for me to grow accustom to certain natures back home," she enlightens to you. "Perhaps in your case: you simply need someone to help you take that extra step..." she gently suggests to you while one hand slides its way to your free hand. "Someone to help you feel at ease." The two of you gaze into each others eyes. Soon you two began to sit down on the ground. The sky began to bloom into speckles of stars and the ground returned back to the peaceful tree the two of you rested on earlier. Your backs could now feel the oak body against your spines. "Maybe...maybe I do." Luna turns to you. "Maybe that person could be...me?" she suggests softly. You look back at her. But just as you were about to answer, Luna intervenes. "I want to see the beauty of your world, but I also want you to see the beauty of it again," she admits. As she spoke you could see the tree and ground began to shrink. You shook slightly to the realization to then notice you and were levitating above the ground and were continuously getting higher up. "What's happening?" Luna gave your held hand a small squeeze for attention. You look into her comforting eyes and said nothing. You then gave her a acknowledged nod, upon which she smiles back dearly. The atmosphere around you began to change like the weather in fast motion. The earthly ground and structures were sucked away by an unknown void that then spat out the fabric of space itself in one large silent explosion. "No way..." you gasp to yourself. Planets would warp into place as stars would twinkle. "Your people live on a small planet that floats within this large void in space. The space around your home is vast, full of many different worlds around it that have different virtues and unknown environments, that continue to exist along with others," Luna expresses delightfully as she gestures to your planets solar system: which shows earth but then zooms out to the many other planets around it. "But on your planet alone: theirs so much history, so much to learn from and so much beauty within even the smaller things," With the help of her magic, Luna focuses back onto Earth itself and zooms in on the many places and environments. From populated cities to untouched forests. "I believe that a soul, should be able to live life with happiness, freedom and carefree. Not forced into hiding from minor set backs or bad experiences," the Earth vanishes to have the stars line up to form a silhouette walking down a path, it then stops when given two directions. The silhouette looks at both choices and hesitates and backs away slowly. "Every step you take, should lead you somewhere new. It's up to you where you go," the silhouette then fades of life and becomes simple stars once again. Chapter 6: Another Night TogetherSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
Chapter 1: A Night Unlike Any Other“GUYS!” you shout with your hands around your lips. I hope you enjoyed this first chapter :)
Chapter 1.5: Dream Space IDeep inside your mind, you have entered the realm of sleep. 'What did that mean?'
Chapter 2: The Night Of SearchingIt's been a couple of days since you had the encounter and the peculiar dream. Blue. 'Am I dead? Or is whatever that was going to kill me?'
Chapter 2.5: Dream Space II"Okay! 'This CANNOT get any weirder.'
Chapter 3: A Night To Start It OffYou remain laying on your back. Hope You Enjoyed
Chapter 4: The Night To End It OnYou and Luna spent the walk to your place with small conversations about her worlds history from when she was around before being banished to the moon. Chapter 4.5: Dream Space IIIYou open your eyes to discover you've wound up in a darken void that seems familiar.
Chapter 5.5: Dream Space IVAuthor's Note Hey! So I just want to say this MIGHT be a bit dark (I'm unsure how dark it is: don't worry, there's no heavy gore) IF it's a bit much I'll change the rating of the story.
