The Dream
Chapter 1
***Twilight’s POV***

The sun's rays bath the land with its warmth as a cool breeze rolls over the hills and plains of Equestria. I breathe in slowly as I felt the warm sun and the Cool Breeze gently wash over me. Slowly I open my eyes and could see ponyville in the distance. The sight was a marvel to look at, the Beauty of Equus was breathtaking. I could see pegasi flying and others walking about doing their daily business. I stood there on the side of the mountain watching the flying ships take off and land at the airport.

“Wait what?”

I then did a double take. What there are no flying ships in Equestria.

“Aren't they marvelous creations”

I then froze as I heard a voice behind me. Slowly I turn my head to see a kirin a creature of Legends. It's a mixture between a dragon and a unicorn with hints of pegasi. The creature now before me looks to be female. she is also wearing what looks like heavy armor and has a menacing-looking broadsword on her back.

I reach for my magic to prepare a shield spell Incase I need to prepare for a fight. however the second I reach for it, it was not there. I could not feel my magic at all

The female in front of Twilight chuckles “ I am sorry Twilight but I have cast a spell preventing you from using your magic”

Fear struck my very core when I realized my best way of defending myself, I had no access to. I started to unfurl my wings to prepare to take off and run for it. Before I do so chuckles fills my ears.

“ Twilight I mean you no harm. I’m only here to talk to you so please relax. Though mother did say you would be jumping and it is quite funny.”

I'm still ready to run for it but I relax as I am curious to see what she wanted.

“ if you wish to talk then why block my magic. I am of no threat to you so why would you cast such a spell?”

“ I did so because I need to keep you here on the mountain I don't need you wandering around 500 years in the future. it would be uneventful if you were to see things you were not supposed to see yet”

I stood there downstroke at to what she just told me. I am 500 years in the future. what is going on? What happened? How did I get here? So many questions and what does she want? Wait a minute I remember I was actually laying down to go to bed but all the sudden I woke up here.

“Did you by chance bring me here?”

“ of course who else would bring you here.”

“Why did you bring me here what is so important to bring me 500 years into the future?”

“ A warning, that is what's so important. Twilight when you go back there will be a great evil on the horizon. Something that you have never faced in all your trials so far. An evil so great it will make you question everything you have done and what the point of it all was.”

“This evil is so great why tell me why not tell Princess Celestia or Princess Luna? I am sure they are more adequate to prepare for this than I. I’m new to all of this. I’m still learning how to be a princess.”

The Kirin Chuckles again “Well that is because like always you'll be somewhat the center of attention again it'll be up to you and with your friends to save the world however you can't just do it alone. you'll have many friends that you'll make along the way one in particular that will help save not just Equestria but Equus itself.”

I look down deep in thought, wondering what all this means but what could possibly come that would threaten not just Equestria but Equus itself. Looking back at her I asked. “ why tell me all this bring me to the Future and show me. if this is what the future looks like 500 years from now then that means we succeed does it not?”

The Kirin in front of me frowns slightly. “My dear Twilight this is just the possibility of one of the futures. The reason why it is so important to show you what could be. but as we speak this future is self can possibly be no more. the choices you make as well as the choices your friends will decide the outcome of the war. You still could lose and all life on Equus could be lost.”

A small tinge of fear crawls its way through my spine. The fear must have shown on my face because the female in front of me adopted a sad smile and brought me into a hug.

“ it'll be alright Twilight I know you can do this I've seen you do this type of stuff all the time. Also he will be there to look out for you.”

the reasurience bring a smile to my face. “You know I never asked what your name was you know mine but may I ask yours?”

The Kirin Chuckles again “ but of course Twilight, my name is Star Chaser . But now it is time for you to go you have other places you must be” Star says smile at me

Star steps back with a smile on her face. As she stops the area around me begins to below as I am slowly lifted into the air. I begin to ascend higher I can hear Star yell good luck to me . Waving goodbye a flash of light the blinds me.

“Geez, I could have gone without being blinded. where am I now.” I say

I can now feel a hard floor as I lay against it. Slowly as I stand up on my hooves putting my hand on the wall. I struggle to refocus and get my surroundings. As my sight comes back to me I noticed that I seem to be in Canterlot castle. Not just the castle but in the tower where I trained with Princess Celestia for all those years. looking around I see that it is the same as it was when I left for Ponyville. Bringing a smile to my face as I remembered all those times that I spent in this room training with her. Before I could walk around I heard voices coming through the door.

“ Princess are you really going to teach me a new spell today oh I can’t wait” the Unicorn Twilight jumps in the air excited.

Celestia giggles “ Yes Twilight I'm going to be teaching you a spell today. I'll be teaching you how to summon objects and Creatures from a long distance. It will not be as simple as I have showed you in the past.”

I stand there dumbstruck once again as I see my younger self before I hit Alicorn Hood being taught by Princess Celestia.

Wait the long distance summoning spell. This is the day I did it.

My face is now that of shock and horror. Running foreword I try and stop my past self from summoning that monster to this world. As I go to grab my younger self I just faze right through her, hitting the floor hard.

“Ooow what the hay”

I sit for a second in a slight daze. After a minute I get a hold of myself and look at Princess Celestia who has a warm smile on her face as she watches my younger self cast the spell.

“That’s good Twilight just keep on concentrating and you will be able to summon the book I told you about.” Celestia Encourages Twilight

I continue to watch my younger self in horror as she continues to cast the spell. The further along she gets the more magical electricity I start to see and the closer it gets to opening that portal. I look back at Celestia as she starts to get a bit of a worried look on your face. I knew things were going to start going downhill from here.

“ Princess Something is wrong. Whatever I'm trying to summon does not feel like a book.” Twilight yells over the now howling wind in the room.

“ Twilight you must cut the spell. you must end it.” Celestia yells back at her now trying to walk towards her pupil

Again my younger self yells out “ I can't something is wrong it's not letting me end the spell. I'm trying but the mana just keeps flowing out” Fear can be heard in my younger self.

Celestia has now made it to her pupil and starts to drag her away from the spell shielding both of them. But by time she does this, it is too late. A portal has been opened and a being you only see in nightmares flies out and lands on the hard marble cracking it. it's slowly stands giving out evil laughter looking around its surroundings.

I look at the being that had summoned that day. I was standing at 12 feet tall, with horns protruding from its head, eyes as black as blackest of heart with a purple mist coming out the sides. four arms protruding from its side walking on two legs and a tail with a spike at the end, wearing smooth armor never seen before.

The creature continues the laugh madly. With the deep voice that seems to Echo the creature speaks.

“ A new world I’ll be able to conquer now”

Its eyes then falls on The princess and myself. it grins cruelly as it jumps forward with its outstretched hand to cut both the princess and I down.

yelling at the top of my lungs I stretch my hand forward to try and stop the creature. When I go to reach for both my younger self and Princess Celestia I find myself sitting in my bed sweating profusely. I look around and I see nothing besides my Castle.
