I flew through the clouds as something in my mind was bugging me. I couldn't stop thinking about her. She was perfect. He silky pink mane. Oh and those beautiful sparkling aqua blue eyes. She was perfect. I've always had my chances to tell her, but I can't. What if she says no. What if she doesn't feel comfortable being in this kind of relationship. I should get help from Twilight. I felt as if I could trust her to tell her anything.
I turned around to redirect myself toward Twilight's library. I take in a deep breath and knock on the door. About five seconds had passed and the door opened. It was Fluttershy who opened it. Her face lit up in delight at the sight of me.
"You're just in time for the party. Come in." She opened the door wider for me to walk in. I walked in slowly to a banner posted on the ceiling. It said, "Welcome home Pinkie Pie!" There was a sloppily painted picture of Pinkie Pie. It looked like kindergartner painted it. A white unicorn filly walked up to me.
"Like the banner I made for Pinkie Pie? It took me a while. You think she'll like it?" Oh. It's Sweetie Belle's banner. I better tell her its good.
"Yeah, Sweetie Belle, it looks nice." I lied a little. I mean, it wasn't that bad, it has its good sides to it. She really did get the mane and tale on point. But those eyes, she made them look... creepy. But I had to be nice. I didn't want to be mean.
I looked around for Twilight. I couldn't see her through all the ponies. I looked upstairs. Spike was up there reading his comics. Maybe she's by the kitchen, I thought. I walked around all the ponies. When I saw Twilight, I was nervous. Maybe I should go back I thought. But I went anyways.
When I approached her from behind, I tapped her shoulder. She turned around. "Oh. Hi Rainbow Dash. Do you need anything?" She had asked me. I paused before speaking.
"Well actually, yes. Can I speak to you... in private?" I waited for a response. She looked back at the ponies she was talking to. And then back at me.
"Sure." She walked beside me as we went to her room. She politely asked spike to leave. He complied.
"So what was it that you needed?" She sounded really curious. I don't know if she'll be interested after I tell her. But I have to, I have to get it out of my of my system.
"So, Twilight. I can, tell you, anything, and you won't judge me? Right?" I was so anxious to get to the point. I couldn't take it.
"Of course. I would never judge you by your beliefs." She smiled a friendly smile at me. I smiled back.
"So..." I gulped. I was about to tell her. My best friend. I can trust her. "I'm in love with someone." I waited for the laughs of shame.
"That's nice. Who is it?" I was puzzled. I would have thought she'd have laughed.
"Well, you see. That's the problem. It's who I like." Okay, here I go. I got up close to her ear. And I whispered, "F-f-ff-Flu-tte-rshy." I had done it. I was glad that was over with. Tears started forming in my eyes. My throat started closing.
"I, I don't, know what to say. I just, genuinely don't know what to say." I looked away and started sobbing. Her hoof touched my shoulder. I look back at her. She smiles. "It's okay. I don't judge you. It's fine." She wiped a tear from my eye. She gave me a hug.
"Thank you." I let her grasp around me end. "So. Twilight, I was also wondering. Will you help me, win Fluttershy's heart?
"Well of course. First step is to always take her out for dinner. I know, cliché. Or just take her somewhere special. That always works." She then kept rambling on about how to win somepony's heart. I decided I would take her to the fun places in Ponyvile. First, the Ponyvile Park. Second, the zoo. Third, the Fair. And fourth, a restaurant. Perfect. Now all I have to do is marke Fluttershy think its a friendly date.
I thanked Twilight and stepped down the stairs. I looked around for Fluttershy. I spotted her. I walked around to the other side of the table. "So. Fluttershy, do you want to go out and, go somewhere?" I waited for her to accept. I just thought she would say no.
"Sure. But before we go. We have to wait for Pinkie Pie." As if on que, I saw the door creak open Everypony hid behind somewhere, and the lights went out.
"Hello?" I saw her look around.
Then the lights came on. Everypony yelled, "Surprise!" She smiled with so much joy.
After the party. Fluttershy and I were on our way to the park. We started talking about what each of us had been doing the past week. It was pretty fun. When we arrived at the Park, there was barley anypony there. So we sat by the lake. We started counting all the fish we could. Whoever had the most, won. I never like losing, but this time i'll let her win. It was nice to see her smile.
Fluttershy had gone to go use the restroom. I suddenly felt a tap from behind me. It came from behind me. I turned around to see nothing, but a bush. I peeked inside. There, was Twilight. She smiled. I sighed.
"Twilight! What are you doing here?" She gave me a look.
"You won't be able to get her without me. Will you?" I knew she was right. I couldn't deny it.
"Yeah. I guess you're right." I had said it too.
"So. How'd it go with the park?"
"Well. We counted fish. Now were going to the zoo. I'm going to tell her I love her..." I paused. I started blushing. I swear I thought, I heard something behind me. Twilight was still concealed so she couldn't see. I turned around to see nothing. I stopped blushing.
"Well, I gotta go Twilight, bye." I raced to the restroom. I saw Fluttershy waiting there.
"There you are. Where have you been?" She looked surprised. Like she had just seen something. I didn't mind it.
"Oh. I was just counting more fish." I lied.
"Well, do you still want to go to the zoo?" She asked.
"Well," I looked over at the setting sun. "Actually, its getting pretty late. Why don't we go somewhere to eat." She nodded as I walked away while she followed.
When we arrived at the restaurant, the waitress took us to our seats. I'd say it was adequate. The waitress came back and asked us what we would like to order.
She asked Fluttershy what she would like, "What would you like this fine evening ma'am?" She smiled.
"Um, yes I would like, a salad please." She handed her book over to the waitress, even though she didn't need it. The she asked me.
"And you ma'am?" She asked. I didn't know. I should probably order what she's having, I thought.
"I'll have what shes having." I handed her my book. She walked away and went to get our food. I wanted to start a conversation with her, not just leave it quiet and awkward.
"So... are your animals doing okay?" I asked. I just panicked.
"Yes, they're doing just fine. Hows Tank?" She asked.
"Hes doing pretty well. He still is an awesome flyer though." We both laughed. I sighed. She was nice. It just felt like she, has a connection with me. Like a soul mate, or something. Yeah, soul mate. That sounds about right.
"So, Fluttershy. Can I-" I was abruptly interrupted by the server with our food.
She set the plates down as she said, "Enjoy." She walked away.
"So, what was it that you wanted to ask me?" She looked curiously. I didn't want to tell her then.
"I'll tell you later. For now, lets eat." I grabbed my fork and started to munch on my salad.
As we were eating, Fluttershy said something, "Have I told you about my coltfriend yet? He's really nice." Then I froze. I did not believe what I had been hearing. It couldn't be true. Fluttershy started waving her hoof in front of me. I gasped. Then shook my head.
"Sorry Fluttershy. I need to go use the restroom." I had put plan B into faze on the table couldn't get her. And I gave up.
"Okay. Go ahead." As I got up, I dropped a note on the table. Fluttershy noticed it as I walked away. I did not go to the bathroom though. I left. And it was fine because I had already paid before we went.
Fluttershy reached over to grab the note. When she had grasp of it, she felt something jolt through her, like a connection of some sort. She opened it.
Fluttershy,
I haven’t been completely honest with you. I have something to confess, more than less towards you. I have always had this sort of, well, crush on you. Not any schoolpony crush, well, not any crush at all. Since the day we became friends, I felt this sort of connection between us, like we knew each other so well. Were like soul mates. We were meant for each other. But, now that I see you don’t see me that way, I guess we’re just friends then. I’ll be at my house if you need me.

"Oh my goodness." Fluttershy had folded the note and put it in her saddlebag. She ran out of the restaurant and flew up into the air. Despite the saddlebag and her usual way of going with things, she was going pretty dang fast. She raced through the clouds and up into view of Cloudsdale. She flew around clouds and dodged thunder storms. She need to tell her the truth.
I lay on my bed. Thinking of her. I couldn't stop. Something told me that there was hope. I just wished she was here. I heard my front door open. And then hoofsteps getting louder. My bedroom door burst open.
"Oh Rainbow Dash! I'm really sorry about what happened. I didn't know." I still lay there staring at the ceiling. It was quiet for that moment until Fluttershy started crying. Her bottom lip quivered.
"Rainbow Dash... I-I-I... L-love you." Then I paused. She wasn't joking. She wasn't pulling my wing. She sounded true and pure. She sounded sincere.
I got up and walked up to her. She looked down, tears running down her soft, yellow fur. I lifted her head up with my hoof, and wiped her tears away. She started smiling. I leaned in, and gave her a hug.
"It's okay. It's okay." I stroked her mane.
"Your my Fluttershy,"
"And you will always be, my Soul Mate for life."
The truth was, Fluttershy lied about the coltfriend situation. She was just afraid to ask Rainbow Dash. She panicked and said something that affected her friend. She would have told her the truth sooner but she thought Rainbow Dash had a coltfriend. So she said she had one. It was a mistake since her friend had run away. She realized that they had this connection since flight school, when she read the note. She could feel it like adrenaline. She felt warm inside. Like her soul, had finally been complete.

Yes! I did it. My first ship that I actually think I did pretty good on. What do ya'll think. Is it good. Post a comment on what you think. I cant believe it. It took me a bout a week, so... wasn't that hard. Also, side note. I have not been posting stories because I was thinking of story ideas. Also, my EOG's are next week. So, stress be gone, am I right?
