Equestria was invaded by massive machines, these machines were bipedal in nature and utilized heavy weapons and superior agility to obliterate Canterlot and the other capitals of the world swiftly. The machines then fought a war that ended badly for the equines and the other species, most either being captured and enslaved to the machines. Most of the planet lies in ruin, only few areas of it have been used as factories for the energy the machines need, and few ponies have managed to escape their terror. 100 years afterwards the machines left mysteriously, but pony kind had been reduced to savages outside, and those who had been enslaved ran from their previous holdings without a plan. Now 200 years since the machines, ponies scavenge for their futures, or fall prey to either being eaten by predators or dying by a savage. Few groups have been made, and even fewer cities created.

Six Shot, a pegasus pony and mercenary for hire stumbles upon a secret that could save everyone from another enslavement from the Machines, but that isn't all he finds.
