There was a flurry of hooves from the both of them as they pulled the bulky black box out of the newly destroyed cardboard. An instruction pamphlet fell out along with some wires and controllers. A silver cartridge with a gold ‘WB’ emblazoned on it tumbled immediately after. The two brothers tore apart the plastic surrounding the rest of the electronic accessories like a pair of parasprites.
“Hey boys,” a light purple Pegasus walked into the den. Cloudchaser spotted plastic and cardboard littering the floor and stopped at the doorway, choosing to lean against the wall. She blew some strands of frost colored hair out of her heavily- lined eyes. “What are you two doing in here? Did Rumbles’ science project explode?”
Cloudchasers’ twin sister, Flitter, walked in after her surveying the damage. “Geez, could you guys be any more messy?” She took to the air to avoid crushing anything important under her hooves. Rumble zipped over to the box to pull out some wires with colored tips.
“Hiya Flitter! Hiya Cloudchaser!” said Rumble, grabbing a fat black brick attached to a long cord with a plug. He zipped over to the electrical socket by the TV. “Thunder bought me an early birthday present. It’s like having an arcade machine but hooked up in our house! It’s way cool, right?!”
“Cost a lot of bits, too!” added Thunderlane, his legs sticking out from under the television set. “It’s totally worth it, though. No more wasting bits out there. “Video Game System,” said Rumble with an excited wing flap. “It’s the very first one you can play in your home! It’s awesome right?”
Cloudchaser yawned, settling into a bean bag chair. “So you two kids are gonna play with your new toy for the rest of the day?”
Thunderlane scooted next to his brother. “That’s about the size of it.” He glanced at Flitter still hovering above the floor. “You girls can sit down and watch if you want.”
Flitter landed on the floor. Then she got back up. She paced back and forth on the carpet, ruffling her wing feathers, then took to the air once again.
“What are you so antsy about?” asked Cloudchaser with a yawn.
“Nothing.”

A few frantic button presses later and a large white starting line appeared with a red number five counting down.

A large yellow trophy descended from the sky next to the two Rumble already won.“I want a rematch!”
“Psh. You’re just super jealous of my skill!” Rumble leaned back and stretched his forelegs behind his head. “I’m pretty tired, Thunder…I could stay up and whip your butt some more if me beating you wasn’t enough for you.”
“You are going down squirt,” growled Thunderlane.
“Hey boys,” Cloudchaser trotted back into the den holding a cup of soda. “Couldn’t find Flitter anywhere. Checked at my house, checked at the food places; heck I even flew around town a few times. Unless she felt like going straight up to burn off steam I don’t know where else to look.”
Thunderlane and Rumble didn’t respond. The game setting had changed from an open stadium to a jungle track. A giant four headed hydra roared through the TV speakers and loosed some digital fire into their paths. Cloudchaser sighed and sank back into the beanbag chair to watch the two brothers play. She’d been out and about for a full hour trying to find her sister, although she hadn’t really looked that hard to be honest. From her seat on the chair she could get a pretty clear look at the TV. It was obviously a racing game judging by what she could see. Rumble had the orange Pegasus and Thunderlane was the one in blue. The scoreboard indicated just how badly the younger colt was wiping the floor with his elder. Flitter snorted and grabbed the controller. Up close it was easy to tell on the TV that the graphical capabilities weren’t amazing on this bulky machine. Tthe sprites for the Wonderbolts were quite clean. Animation was smooth and the music was some sort of mix of the racing teams’ anthem, albeit a bit more cheery and faster paced.

“Oh,” she blushed at Thunderlane as the events of last night finally finished registering,” good morning…handsome.” Both her ears flattened as he tenderly nuzzled her neck. “Uh…listen, I can explain…well, uhm-”
Thunderlane flopped back into the bed. “I figured you would say that. After we…did it,” he winced, feeling weird about the bluntness of his statement, “you kind of fell asleep right away and I was just thinking about stuff. I know you’re not really into me and everything; plus you were in heat.”
“Thunderlane…”
“So it’s totally okay if we just forget about what happened last night-“
“Thunder…”
“-and then we can go back to the way things weMFPFF!”
Flitter cut him off in a passionate kiss, pushing him into the bed. He inhaled the sweaty scent of her unwashed hair. They mashed their lips hungrily together, breaking it for air after a few seconds.
“Forget all that Thunder. I’ve always liked you, actually, but like, you know, I’m too scared to just say anything to you,” she hung her head and sighed, “Last night was bad. Like, telling you in a bad way bad.” Her hoof trailed across his chest. “Sooo…maybe we can try again some night where I’m not begging for you to nail me like some crazy mare?”
Thunderlanes’ face lifted immediately. “Really? Yeah! Yes! I’m totally down with that.”
“Good,” the knot in her stomach began unwinding. She shifter her legs slightly, the blazing fire that was raging through her loins now a dull heat thanks to him. They rested together, the tingling contact of their coats bringing each other new warmth as they lay in bed.
“Wait…did your sister lock the door when she left last night?” asked Thunderlane nonchalantly.
“Actually I don’t know what she,” Flitter tapped her chin. “I know she was playing videogames last night is all…”

Sunlight streamed through the light blue and gold curtains of the room directly below Thunderlane. It hit the little colt resting in bed on his face, causing him to stir under the covers. He yawned and stretched his wings. Shaking off another, larger yawn, he massaged his hind legs. They felt awfully weird. Sore even. What was today? Saturday? The first thing that came to mind was videogames. That’s what he wanted to play.
“Mornin’ tiger!” crooned a sultry voice to his left. Turning over he found himself face to face with Cloudchaser, wearing a very satisfied smile on her face.
Rumble blinked. “Uh…hi,” he blushed hard. “Um…last night I had this awesome dream,” Cloudchaser smiled wider. Rumble chuckled nervously. “And uh, you were in it…I don’t think I was really dreaming.”
“Ooh…you are smart,” she kissed his forehead, glancing further down his slender frame. “and such a big boy already.”
“Heh…uhhh…”he blushed even harder. “Can we not tell my brother?”
“I won’t tell if you won’t tell,” she nibbled at his mane. Flapping out of bed she drifted over to his door. “C’mon! Let’s get downstairs and play some videogames!” Instead of jumping out after her the not-so-little Pegasus fiddled with his hooves. Cloudchaser sighed and flew back to him, kissing him on the lips like she did last night. “It’ll be our little secret. I promise. Now, let’s go! Some-ponys got a new high score to beat!”
“No WAY!” He jumped out of bed after her, giggling and chasing her down the hallway.
