//-------------------------------------------------------// Making them Dazzle again -by Punsz- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 It's been a month since the Dazzling's attempted to take over the school. There haven’t been any signs of them not even any rumors of their whereabouts. No one is sure if they just ran off or are just hiding and plotting their next move. It’s just a typical day at Canterlot High, Sunset Shimmer has been sitting in her history class keeping her eyes on the clock not really bothering to listen to the lecture. Thirty more minutes was what she kept repeating in her head to herself. The voice of her history teacher drawled with every word that he spoke. Looking to her left sat her rainbowed hair friend, Rainbow Dash who was at the moment sleeping. A smirk grew on Sunset's face; her multi-colored friend had drawn eyes on her eyelids as a disguise. The funny thing is that eah eye was facing a different direction, this reminded Sunset of Pinkie’s pet alligator Gummy. A few minutes past and Sunset was beginning to grow sleepy herself that is until the intercom came on in the classroom. The sound woke Rainbow up causing her to let a loud snort. "Sunset Shimmer please report to principal Celestia's office, Sunset Shimmer please report to principal Celestia's office. Sunset turned towards Rainbow Dash giving her a confused look. Rainbow rubbed her eyes of any sleep and shrugged her shoulders having no idea to why she was being called down. She didn’t really care as she made herself comfortable and tried to fall back asleep. Given permission to leave, Sunset made her way down to principal Celestia's office. Sunset stood in front of Celestia's office, she was still confused onto to why Celestia would call her down. Opening the door, Sunset popped her head inside. "Did you want to see me principle Celestia?" "Yes Sunset, if you would please come in." She took a seat in one of the empty chairs in front of the principle. "Um, is something the matter?" Sunset asked. "No, nothing is wrong," Celestia reassured allowing Sunset to relax. "I called you down here to ask a favor of you." "Oh, what is it that you need?" "Well Sunset as you know a month ago our school had a rather "magical" incident mind you that it wasn't the school's first." Celestia said. Sunset gave her a silent apology remembering the school's first magical experience. "Don’t worry about it Sunset, everyone including Vice principal Luna and I have forgiven you." Celestia gave an encouraging smile making sure that Sunset knew there were no ill feelings. "That's good to hear." Sunset thanked smiling back at her. "Now, as you know the girls that you know of as the Dazzlings were the cause of the battle of the Band's wild events." Sunset nodded her head. "Well the reasoned I called you down here has something to do with them." A stern look came upon Sunset's face. Where the Dazzling up to no good again? How could they? Their magic amulets were shattered leaving them powerless. Maybe they found a way to find some other way to regain their powers. "Don't worry Principal Celestia I can contact Twilight and we can stop the Dazzling and whatever their plans are." Sunset said. Celestia raised her hands to stop Sunset. "Sunset, that's not really what I meant." she said. Sunset gave her confused look. "I'm sorry, but if you say that the Dazzlings are involved then shouldn't we be worried?" "Well, Sunset, why not I let her in first? It would explain things a lot better." Celestia pressed a button and spoke into a microphone. "Vice principal Luna, you can send her in now." "Her?" Hearing the door open, Sunset turned her head around to see a familiar blue hair blue skinned former siren walk into the office. "Hiya." Sonata greeted the two. Sunset's eyes grew to that of saucers. Her head turned to her principle then to Sonata then back to the principle. "Wha...she...here...WHAT!?" Sunset almost yelled. "Now Sunset I need you to calm down," Celestia said trying to calm the situation. Sonata casually walked over and sat in the empty chair next to Sunset. "I assure you Sonata isn't here for any trouble." Sunset turned to the blue haired ex-siren still flabbergasted. "Yeah, calm your tooshy," Sonata said. "I'm here to get an eduma...educer..." "Education." Celestia finished for her. Sonata smiles at her as a way to thank her. "Yeah that." Sunset was still trying to process that one of the girls who tried to control everyone in the school is sitting right here next to her. She looks up to see a goofy smile on the other girls face. Sunset was brought out of her thought by principal Celestia. "How can she be here?" She finally said. "Well I walked in and asked if I could go to school here." Sonata said bluntly. Sunset gave her a look of disbelief. "Seeing that she is still in the schools file she technically is enrolled to Canterlot High." Celestia said. "But she tried to take over the school!" Sunset interjected. "And so did you one time." Celestia returned causing Sunset to go quiet. "Sunset, the reason why I am letting Sonata come back to school is because I'm giving her the same chance that I gave you after your mistakes." To that Sunset wasn't really able to say anything else. "I believe that everyone should be given a chance which is what I am giving Sonata." "Aww thanks." Sonata said a slight blush on her face. Sunset wasn't sure if she was taking it as a joke or if she really meant it. "Now going back to the reason why I called you in my office is because I would like you help Sonata in her "reformation process" seeing that she will probably go through the same treatments you did in the past." Celestia looked to Sunset. “Can I trust on you to help Sonata?” Sunset didn’t really know how to answer, right next to her was a girl who attacked her and her friends via through music but still they did it in a form of attack. At the same time Sunset thought about how she was given a second chance. Hell, she attacked Twilight and the others with a fire ball. Even after that they still forgave her. She let out an internal moan, Celestia was right, if she was given another chance then Sonata had the right to one as well. Looking back at principal Celestia, Sunset nodded her head and agreed to the task. A smile grew on Celestia’s face, it was the same warm smile that her mentor princess Celestia back in Equestria had. “Thank you Sunset,” Celestia turned her attention to Sonata, she pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to Sonata. “Well Miss Dusk here is your schedule Sunset Shimmer here will be helping you adjust into the school.” “Great!” Sonata turned to Sunset the same goofy smile on her face from before. “Well best buddy I can’t wait to spend some good old fashion school time fun with you.” “Wait what? Best buddy?” Sunset asked. Principal Celestia wrote a hall pass for the two girls. “You two girls should be on your way now.” Taking the hall passes the two girls made their way out of the office. Sonata began to blabber on and on about something Sunset wasn’t really listening. “Oh Sunset?” Sunset stopped at the door and turned to face Celestia. “Yes?” “Thank you for helping out.” Celestia said with a smile. Sunset smiled back and walked out of the office and immediately after her smile fell. “Yeah...you’re welcome.” She said with a frown. Looking up she already saw Sonata walking ahead of her still talking to herself. Sunset quickened her pace to catch up to the blue ex-siren. “Wait till I tell the girls the good news.” //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 “Well since first and second period are over let’s see what your third-period class is before we head off to lunch,” Sunset said looking down at Sonata’s schedule. “Huh, it looks like your third period is the same as mine, and your fourth, and fifth...wait a minute?” Skimming through the sheet Sunset was surprised to see that Sonata was in almost every one of her classes. Sunset was shocked, to say the least. A tap on the shoulder caught her attention. “So, what’s my next class?” Sonata asked. “Uh, English.” “Ooo, sounds fun.” Sunset lead Sonata to the school cafeteria where students were busy enjoying their lunches with their friends. Across the room, Sunset could see her group of colorful friends, but before she could go greet them a loud gasp came from behind her. “You guys sell taco supremes here?” Sonata almost screams. “Yeah, why don’t you go get yourself some lunch.” “Sweet, you want anything best buddy?” Sonata asks. “No I’m fi...what did I say about the best buddy thing?” Sunset said with an annoyed looked. “Oh sorry about that best buddy.” “Just...just look for me when you get your lunch.” Sunset turned to Sonata but already saw that she was gone. Letting out a sigh, Sunset walked over to her friends who were chatting away. She started to think how she was going to tell her friends about the news. Maybe they’ll be okay with it, they even might greet her with open arms. Sunset mentally slapped herself and contemplated on what she was thinking accepting this. Rarity was the first to notice Sunsets arrival. “Hello Sunset, I’ve saved you a seat right here.” Rarity said pulling out an empty chair next to her. Sunset gave her a silent thank you taking her seat next to the fashionista. “So Rainbow here told us you got called down to principal Celestia’s office last period,” Applejack asks. Before Sunset could answer her a certain party enthusiasts interrupted her. “Oh oh did she call you down to give you a present or a reward? OH a presward?” asked Pinkie Pie. “You literally just said password you just said it with an ‘a’.’” Again, Sunset was going to answer her, but she was interrupted again by one of her friends. “Well I hope it wasn’t anything bad,” Fluttershy commented. “Guys it wasn’t anything bad, not really it’s just that principal Celestia just…” “Oh darling, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about? It’s probab-” Rarity stopped mid sentence as her eyes grew wide. “Is that?” “Hey best buddy I got us lunch.” Everyone but Sunset’s eyes grew wide as they stared at Sonata. They looked to each other and then to Sunset and back at Sonata. Sonata didn’t really notice their expression and just casually pull up a chair next to Sunset. Rainbow Dash was the first to say something. “What in the world is she doing here?” She said pointing a finger at the former siren. “I’m here for my irritation, duh,” Sonata said taking a bite of one of her tacos. “You're what?” “She means education,” Sunset said correcting the siren. “That’s rather nice and all, but why is she here?” Rarity asks. “I thought...uh.” “Sonata.” Sonata said as she took a bite from her taco. “Thank you, darling,” Rarity thanked. “I thought Sonata and her companions ran off after the battle of the bands?” Rainbow Dash stuck her face in front of Sonata’s by leaning over the lunch table. Her eyes began to scan her as she glared at her. “What are you planning huh? You guys want a rematch is that it? Well, I got news for ya I’ll take you guys on any day any time.” Rainbows said sounding a little cocky. SOme of her friends rolled their eyes at her over the top attitude. Sonata however finally took notice of Rainbow Dash, her mouth was full of food. “Whaa?” Sonata said spitting out a few chunks of taco meat. “What are you talking about? I can’t sing well I can’t anymore.” Fluttershy was the next to speak. “That’s right after their amulets were shattered they weren’t able to sing like when they first came here.” Most of the heads of the table seem to nod in agreement, but Rainbow Dash wasn’t so quick to agree. “I don’t by it, I bet she’s a spy or maybe even a double agent.” Rainbow Dash said. Seeing as how outrageous that sounds the girls did have their doubts to why the former siren was actually here. Sonata on the other let out a sigh having finished her lunch stood up from her seat. “Why don’t I show ya and if you think I’ll do some sort of evil thingy you can blast me with that rainbow lazer thing, deal?” All six girls watch as the blue ex-siren walked over to the center of the cafeteria and cleared her throat. Remembering what happened last time, they all watch her carefully making sure to spot any magical appearances. Out of the nowhere, music started playing in the background there were no signs of instruments or speakers playing it just started out of nowhere. “Have you guys thought it was weird whenever we sing music just starts playing in the background?” Sunset asked. “Silly Sunset there’s got to be background music because it would just look weird if you just singing with no background music playing,” Pinkie said. “Besides most of our viewers like the songs that we sing.” “Viewers?” Sunset questioned. “Don’t question it darling.” Rarity said. Listening to friends advice Sunset just turned her attention back onto Sonata. Sonata slightly jumped to the beat with her eyes closed. Some of the other students in the room turned their attention towards her as well some of them were surprised to see her, but most of them were a little excited to hear another person sing. “Hey a new singer, you think she’s a main character now or a villain again?” Someone whispered. When the beat hit a certain tone and opened her mouth. In all honesty all six girls were quite interested to hear Sonata sing sure she tried to take over the school with it, but they agreed that the sirens did have nice voices. Taking a breath, Sonata began to sing and it was as if someone was scraping a nail on a chalkboard while a baby was crying into a microphone. Almost everyone in the room fell in agony clenching their ears shut. Sunset and her friends were doing the same as everyone else. Thinking quickly, Sunset rushed over to Sonata and shut her mouth with her hands. “Alright, I think that’s enough proof.” She said. Sonata began to talk but was muffled by Sunset’s hand. “Let’s just go back to our seats.” Nodding her head Sonata happily walked back to her seat with Sunset behind. Everyone in the lunchroom began to recover their hearing. “Do you think she’s a main character now?” Someone asked. Back at her lunch table, Sunset looked as her friends were recovering as well from Sonata’s performance. “Well, does that prove anything?” Sonata asks. Rainbow being the first to recover stared at the blue ex-siren. “Okay, fine you can’t sing, but I still don’t trust you.” “Dash, I think the only we have to worry about from Sonata here is another performance,” Applejack said but stared at Sonata apologetically. “No offence sugarcube.” Sonata just shrugged her shoulders. Before anyone else could say anything else the bell for the next period rang. “It seems that our lunch hour is over,” Rarity said. “I shall see you girls later.” Packing her things, the fashionista walked off to her next class. Everyone else packed their things and headed off to their respective classes. Rainbow glared at Sonata as she walked past her and Sunset and using her fingers she made the gesture ‘I’m watching you’ before going to class herself. Sunset let out a sigh, at least it didn’t go as bad as she thought. She turned to Sonata was happily bobbing her head back and forth causing her ponytail to fling back and in front of her. “So you ready to head off to class?” Sunset asks. Author's Note Welp here's the next chapter hope you guys like it! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 The bell signaling the end of 8th period rang, and students began to flood the halls. Talks of plans for after school clubs and plans for later in the day was spoken amongst the other students. Sunset walks past the other students making her way to her locker. Reaching her locker, Sunset went through her things as she checked her notebook on what classes she had homework in. Placing her required textbooks in her bag, Sunset made her way down the hallway scooting past students and teachers. Reaching the school lobby, Sunset saw her friends all talking to each other near the entrance. Applejack was the first to see Sunset approaching them. “Howdy Sunset you going to join us at Sugarcube corners?” The apple farmer asks. “You should totally come,” Pinkie shouted. “Today is buy one cupcake get two for free!” The sugar fanatic started to jump up and down excitedly. “Sorry girls, but I got a lot of work to do tonight,” Sunset said with an apologetic look. “Maybe next time.” With that she said goodbye to her friends and made her way to the school parking lot. Pulling out the keys to her motorcycle she starts her bike. Putting on her helmet she takes a seat and starts to leave the school. “HEY BEST BUDDY!” Sunset’s whole-body twitches as the voice of a certain siren came from behind her. She musters whatever strength she could and forms the most strenuous smile of her life. She gets off her bike and turns around with one step. She almost fell off her bike because she found the blue haired siren right in front of her making her lose her footing and almost falling backwards. “Jeez Sonata don't do that!” Sunset shouts with her hand above her chest. “Sorry.” Sonata says in a sing songy voice. She then puts at hands behind her back and smiles at Sunset. “I had a great time at school today...well not everything was fun about it...I think i fell asleep a few times in each class.” Sonata began to ramble on what she did today adding the word “best buddy” a few too many times. “Okay okay okay,” Sunset stops her before she went on too far. “Shouldn't you be going home right now?” Sonata had a blank look on her face as if trying to process what was just asked of her. It only took a few minutes for the toaster in her head popped and her expression went back to normal. “Oh yeah well I have to wait till later tonight to be picked up.” Sonata says happily. It would've been easy to just leave it at that and go home. Besides she was someone who tried to take over the school, but then again so did she. If it wasn't for her friends, then who knows what would've happen to her. Sunset lets out a sigh. “Do you want a ri-” before she could finish what she was going to say Sonata was already on the motorcycle. “Well let’s get going before it gets dark.” Letting out a sigh, Sunset turns back around to get on her bike, but was stopped when she sees Sonata sitting on the front most seat. “Uh…you’re going to have to scoot back so I can you know…drive.” “Oh right!” Sonata slides back to give Sunset enough room to sit down in front of her. She pats the spot in front of her a big smile on her face. Without saying a word, Sunset sits down in front of her and puts on her helmet. “Alright, where do you live?” Sunset asks as she starts the engines again. “Uhhhhh…well,” Sonata starts. “I don’t know exactly where it is, but I do know how to get there.” Sunset was mentally slamming her head against an imaginary wall. Biting the side of her cheek, Sunset drove off with Sonata giving her directions on where to turn. Saying that the trip was…troublesome would be an understatement, Sonata gave Sunset the wrong turn more than once. “Oh wait…I think it was that way…or maybe it was uh…where’s the store where you buy protein pills?” The young siren asks. Sunset stops the bike and jerks her head behind her. She tilts her helmet front and reveals a furious look. Sonata gives her a sheepish look and points over at a familiar corner. “Oh, wait hehehe,” Sonata tries to look as innocent. “It’s over there.” Sunset lets out a grunt and rolls her eyes and starts her bike again. Finally making the right turn, the two teens arrive to a rundown neighborhood. Many of the houses are losing their paint and most of the yards are covered in useless junk. A worrying expression grows on Sunset’s face as she looks around. “Oh oh oh! Over there that’s my house!” Sonata shouts pointing over Sunset shoulder causing the fiery hair girl to twist and swerve. Averting a crash, Sunset pulls up in front of a dull brown house with a few of the windows covered in newspapers. “Thanks, Best buddy!” Sonata says jumping off the bike she begins to skip towards the house. Sunset just waves back in response as she watches her enter the house. Letting out a sigh, Sunset starts her bike again and gets ready to leave, but the feeling of something behind her stop s her. Turning around she sees that Sonata forgot her backpack. “Well can’t just leave this here.” Sunset says as she leans the bike and grabs the backpack. She walks over to the house taking careful steps from all the random scraps on the grounds. When she finally steps in front of the door she clicks on the door bell and waits. Five minutes past and nothing she rings the doorbell again and nothing. Letting out a sigh, Sunset begins to knock on the door. Finally, the door opens, and Sonata pops her head out her hair no longer in a ponytail as it fell behind her back. “Oh hi,” she says with a smile. “I didn’t think you missed me that much?” Sunset just lifts the bag causing the other girl’s eyes grow. “Oh, hey I was wondering where that went!” Sonata grabs onto the hand Sunset was using to lift the bag. She was pulled into the house by Sonata’s unexpected strength. She didn’t know what she should’ve expected, but to say that she was a little surprised was an understatement. Compared to the outside, the inside of the house was rather clean and organized. In the Livingroom was a large couch and a foldable bed next to it and the kitchen was few feet away the counter was covered in takeout. “So…this is your house?” Sunset asks. “Yup, this is home sweet home.” Sonata walks over to the counter and picks up a takeout box and pulls out a piece of boneless fried chicken. Popping it in her mouth, Sonata offers the box to Sunset to which she quietly denied. Well being that she was already inside it would be a bit rude to just leave. Sunset walks over to the couch and takes a seat and continues to look around the Livingroom. The sound of someone opening a door catches her attention causing her to look down the hall. The only thing she saw was a door slightly open with someone’s arm popping out holding stacks of empty bowls. When placed on the ground the arm pulls back and the door closes. As if on cue, Sonata walks down the hall with a small hum and picks up the bowls. She walks back into the kitchen and places them into the sink. Grabbing another box, she walks over to the couch and takes a seat next to Sunset. “You sure you don’t want any it tastes pretty good.” Sonata says offering the box to her again. “No really I’m fine,” Sunset says her eyes curiously staring down the hallway. “Hey who was that in the room?” “Oh, that’s just Dagi.” Sonata says as she eats. “How come she’s not out here?” Sonata expression falls slightly, but she seems to have shaken it off. “Well she just stays in her room all the time not sure why.” Sonata leans over to Sunset to whisper something. “Honestly, it’s terrible for the skin to not get any sunlight.” Sunset nods her head and she look back up to stare at the hallway. The sound of the front door grabs everyone’s attention and in comes a familiar purple skinned teen. “Ugh I swear my boss is the worse,” Aria walks in with her eyes closed. “Sonata do we have any food left?” She looks up with wide eyes, but soon fall into a frown as she stares at Sunset. “What are you doing here?” k Author's Note Hey folks holy smokin salmons its been a long time since i edited this story well worry not if you because I got the flames going again with this guy!
