The New Beginning
"Sorry it had to be this way princesses but I'll fix it so this doesn’t even HAPPEN” Those were the last words spoken before Twilight disappeared. The purple alicorn princess, swore to fix everything and she used every ounce of magic into this one spell. Seconds later she was gone from the Forbidden Achieve in Canterlot Castle. On her journey to fix what wrong, that Celestia had done to her. Twilight travelled back in time a year before her journey BEGAN .
947 years in the past--
Twilight P.O.V--
Then I looked at the mirror checking if I had wings. “Yes…yes…yes...yes the spell worked best now I can change everything. Oh how brilliant am I? Yes I am the most brilliant aren't I” Patting myself on the head with the biggest grin on my face then I did my happy dance.
“Twilight what are you doing?” I turned round to see Spike half asleep in his basket.
I simply smiled. “Oh just thinking out loud that’s all and Spike as I have been doing a lot of thinking and" I paused and answered more calmly. "Spike, do you want to be my legally adopted son since I am at legal age? I know it's a big decision, you don't have to answer straight away. Sorry you can have all the time in the world to think but I just wounded if you wanted too. You can still be my number one assistant even if you don’t want to be my adopted son. I hope you will consider it please”. I prayed he would say yes because we always acted like mother and son. Spike got up and stared at me. I was scared of his answer because he might not want it.
“Yes thank you this is the greatest thing you could ever do for me thank you Twi…..mom” We started tearing up and gave each other a big hug. I whispered “I love you too son” with a single tear of happiness. Then I heard the devil coming in.
“Hello my faithful student, I see you both are awake” Celestia replied. I resisted the urge to attack with full force.
“Yes we both have something to tell you” I explained.
“What is it?” Celestia asked.
“Well I decided to adopt as my legal son so everyone knows it. I just always thought of us like mother and son. I had been doing a lot of thinking and since I'm 19, I am at legal age” I said with pride
Celestia starred at us then smiled. “I fully support and good time too right in time for the summer sun celebration”
“Yes I...can’t…wait” I took all my will power not to see my anger.
“Bye my faithful student and Spike, I got duties to attend too” With that she walked off out the door.
“Spike lets go see are friends and have a day out”
“Yeah I can’t wait” Spike said enthusiastically as they headed to Moondancer's house.
Spike and I knocked on the door calling out Moondancer. ”Moondancer it’s us me and Spike”
“Twilight?” Moondancer questioned
“Happy Birthday Moondancer! I was just wondering if you want to come out and celebrate. Today's not only your Birthday but today I'm also planning to adopt Spike as my legal son. This is my treat, I got you something” Moondancer opened the gift. It was the rare Starswirl the Bearded book, there were only 3 in the entire world. She thanked me and jumped around like a little filly. Then she agreed and we visited Minuette, Lemon Hearts and Twinkle shine. We all headed to Canterlot Goodies. They were very suspicious of my behaviour because I seemed different to them but they shrugged it off as we walked off to the restaurant.
It wasn’t that fancy as other restaurants like the Italian restaurants in Canterlot but good. They had many options of food. There was my favourite type of food, daisy sandwiches. After we all ordered we sat down with are food on this big white table with 6 chairs. They seemed happy but quiet because they know I would never waste a minute without complaining or without a book. They were quiet but I could see them wanted to ask, then Minuette spoke up.
“Hay Twilight I wasn’t going to say anything but we all think you are acting different more cheerful” Minuette said. They all nodded even Spike.
Twinkle pointed her hoof and put a horrible expression. “Twilight I know you are excited but you haven’t even gone studying today or read at the table like you always do. NOW WHO ARE YOU ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH TWILIGHT?” Twinkle shouted. She looks like she was going to attack me so I shuffled my chair back in case she tried something. Lemon pulled Twinkle back.
“Twilight is there something we should know? We are all friends here please tell us. We wouldn’t be mad” Lemon Heartstrings calmly spook.
I then used the breathing technique Cadence taught me. I then recollected my thoughts and spoke. “Girls I…I…I just been thinking of my future and” I paused and said “I realised I don’t want to spend my entire life studding, I want to move and do some travelling. I still study just now I was just thinking of doing some exploring with Spike and I_” I blurted out. “I want to leave, meaning that I want to do some traveling don't worry, I'll still write to you all. I also want to apologise for not hanging out more and being a bad friends”. They all stared at me then smiled.
“Hay its ok. We are always friends. You might not like being that sociable but you will always be our friend, right girls. As long as we can come visit you and remember to right we still have our connection even when we are far apart” Moondancer explained. The rest of the girls nodded and gave me a hug.
“Umm….umm I am just….just going to say it like ripping a bandage of I am sure she’ll understand. I have a lot of money for traveling and I think I can get a job with my qualification. Let’s cross the bridge when it comes to it ok” I made up on the spot. After the dinner we departed and all headed back home. I watched the stars twinkle as Spike and I headed back to the palace.
“Mom are you sure about all this, I mean this is all so sudden and-“It didn’t let him finish that sentence.
“Yes Spike I have been planning this for a long time. When we move, I can start to have a normal job. Then we get house, then you will have kids plus I’ll grow old and die peacefully. I will fix everything an improve Equestria’s by bringing technology further. When you have a second chance Spike, you make things better yourself and other. With the knowledge and experience I have gained I will bring Equestria to a better age. Sorry I have put a lot of thought into it and yet it has so many gaps in my plan due to spending so much time to get back in time. But this is the start of a new adventure Spike, my son, we can do some traveling and maybe visits some dragons. Of course I will be at a safe distance watching, they don’t like ponies that much, only when you are old enough of course. One day you will be a big dragon as long as you don’t give into greed and keep caring you will be fine my son. Just remember whatever happens I will always be there for you through thick and thin as you do for me. Don’t worry about what happen in the future but I hope I get to still be alive to see your kids. ”
“I love you my son” I simply said. At the Castle we saw Celestia waiting for us. I saw her standing in front of us with a stern expression.
“Twilight! Where were you two bean its past midnight I was worried about you two?” Celestia explained.
“Well the girls, Spike and I were having a day out as it will. Sorry just celebrating and I have something to tell you it’s that. I have been thinking of moving. Spike and I are moving out the palace. I have been thinking really hard about my future. I am just going to sort out the legal stuff about adoption and start a life of my own. It is just going to take a few days" Celestia’s eyes widen I tried not to simile or grin.
“If that is your decision then I will fully support that” Celestia calmly said. Then we walked up to our room.
The night was nearly ending and without any sleep. I was at the point of sleeping but I couldn’t. I tried reading a book, counting sheep and reciting the aphanitic alphabet but I couldn’t. All is that I was thinking was that ‘why I came back?’
Simple answer
‘Because I don’t want to be a princess because I am immortal with no friends’
I knew the answer was clear but I couldn’t shake that feeling that everything is going to blow up in my face. And I am never wrong about that but I wished I was.
3 weeks later--
Here I am leaving the palace but first I have some unfinished words with Celestia. We were in the gardens. Celestia was quiet as we headed out the palace. This was not in her visions and I knew it. I knew, she knew, that something is amiss.
"Well my faithful student this is it, I hope you come visit some time soon." Celestia put a hoof on my shoulder and started to hide her sadness. "And you to Spike I hope you take care of her as she does to you" I gave her hug and said are goodbyes. When Spike was out the door I turned to face Celestia.
"I'll miss you" I hugged her. "Say bye for me to Luna, she'll be ok as long as the elements don't turn me back to being what I will or will not become plus I am not completing that spell you had planning for me." I pulled away and she stared at me in shock. "Don't get it yet, you will. Just remember this, you will not, I repeat, you will not trick me or use me anymore if you know what's good for you. If you give me that spell you planned since I was young, I will seek my revenge but at least you have your sister Luna, Cadence and Furry Heart to live that long life. I can see why Sunset enjoyed this one upping thing, its thrilling by having the cards in my hoofs but she could say hands in that universe. I know the tree of harmony can find another princess. There is going to be so much chaos I'm causing, oh how Discord would love to see this. Just remember to sent Cadence to the Crystal Empire as soon as it return. Spike and I would retrieve the Crystal Heart just send us a memo if you want to save it" I spoke. "Anyway, bye Celestia I am not going giving you a cheat sheet on everything now that would be wrong" I grinned, trying to hide me laugh, leaving in Celestia in shock about how I knew that. I closed the door so Spike and I bulleted to the train station.

Stress, Secrets and Streets
On The Train—
My parents visited rarely to the castle as a filly. I was mostly raised by Celestia. I went to Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns and had private lessons with Celestia, learning magic. I gradated early and got my degree in science and magic then become a magic researcher at the palace but I still was taught by Celestia for higher advances. Back then I used to shut ponies out and only focussing on my research and studies. Cadence mostly visits me in the library when she is not busy with court meetings and paper work. My brother, Shinning Armor, worked in the military and is captain of the royal guards so we see each other around the palace but he was always so busy sometimes. My only company was Spike because I didn’t spend much time with our friends.
Spike and I had a strong bond but I missed so much in his life. Spike never had a mother figure to look on and that's what I'm going to be for him. Spike always questioned where he came from I didn’t know. We always acted like mother and son so I knew I needed this chance to be a better mother to Spike. I knew he wasn’t a normal dragon because of his magic. However I know Spike is going to be ok with a nice family in about 40 years or sooner with his wife Ember and kids Scales and Fire. I know they inherit some magic from him. Their children inherited Spike’s kind heart and Embers determination. I am so proud of them.
I starred at the window surrounded by my thoughts and heard Spike waking me up. Then we stepped out the train together onto the platform as they arrived at the train station.
“Mom you ok, you look out of it” Spike asked.
“Yes Spike, I’m fine I’m just tired is all, let’s go don’t want to be tarty do we.” We went on ahead, heading into the town. There were many buildings and houses as we walked pass. The streets were crowed with ponies from far and wide from all over Equestria. To be honest I didn’t need a job because what Spike didn’t know was that I stashed a lot of bits in a dimensional pocket before we came plus I can conjunct bits out of thin air. I was at least prepared for that before I time travelled. It would look suspious if I didn't have a job anyway. When we got to the magic research library, we were greeted by a light, blue unicorn stallion with a red mane. His cutie mark is of library books with a hat.
“Hello Ms Sparkle and young Spike I am Book Hat, I am part of the magic research group, I will show you too your rooms. You are said that you would be here for 3 months for the job, am I correct?”
“Yes, my son and I are going to do some traveling around Equestria so I am going to take some part time jobs.” I spook proudly.
“I am glad to hear it, you are about 16 correct” Book Hat questioned.
“Yes” I half lied.
“Are you a student of Princess Celestia because it was a rare thing? It said in your application but I not sure you were then I checked with lots of Canterlot nobles and some body guards that work in the castle that confirmed it. They had reports about another student of Celestia, Sunset Shimmer. She said that she abandoned her studies because of her ambition for power. What made you so special, do you know Sunset Shimmer and why did you leave?”
“Spike can you step into the other room and do some exploring ok, we are going to have a talk. You go have a look around the library ok, love son.”
“Ok mom love you, I going to look for comics” Spike then left the room to do exploring.” He left while I hesitated to answer him.
”What makes me special is my raw power. I do know Sunset Shimmer she will change of her ambition once I go and visit her. And for why I left, let’s say that life isn’t all that glamourous with the princess, it’s complicated on why I left the princess. I…I…I had a tough life and I don’t want to talk about. I just” Tears started falling from my face. “Please I can’t talk about it but not all of the blame is on the princess most of it was my fault and stupid destiny. I can say no more than that but at least I got Spike to comfort me.” I wiped my eyes and plastered on a smile on my face. “Spike doesn’t know everything I know but it doesn’t matter anymore, I’m starting a new life, a refresh start.”
“I am sorry to bring you such distressed by my questions, I can see the pain in your eyes and I wouldn’t bring it up again. Here is your seduce, your room key and a map of the building. I got to go, have a goodnight Ms Sparkle.” As Spike came through the door, I saw Spike was holding a piece of ice cream in his claws.
“Spike, where did you get that ice cream?” I asked
“Well, I was wondering around the building and came across an ice cream machine lying around so I used it and got some ice cream. The machine and the bowl said ‘take me’ see it’s on the bowl.” Then he showed me the bowl.
“Spike, you shouldn’t take stuff that isn’t yours even if the bowl did say ‘take me’. I know you didn’t mean to but if you wanted ice cream you should have just asked”. Then I used my chaos magic that Discord taught me to conjunct a piece of chocolate ice cream in a white bowl.
“Wow Twilight, where did you learn that you didn’t even light your horn?” Spike asked.
“Let’s say a chaotic friend taught me that trick, you haven’t meet him yet, you will when we get around to it. Ok Spike, let’s go to sleep we have a big day tomorrow.” We headed to the spare rooms and unpacked. There were two beds, a bookshelf, fridge, cooker, sink, washing machine, wardrobe, closet, lamp, shower and bathroom. The bathroom has a bath, shower, sink and toilet. We then headed to bed and turned off the light.
“Goodnight Spike”
The Next morning—
“CHEESE SANDWICH?” I was at the state of shock seeing him in a library and attending a magic research meeting.
“Why, you heard of me because I heard about you. You are the new trail researcher we get one every year. They always pick two to get fresh ideas on Earth, Unicorn and Pegasus magic.” Cheese Sandwich asked.
“Yes I have heard of you, you are one of the two best party planners in all of Equestria. You travel around Equestria planning parties for ponies that need it using your cheese sense but I didn't know you worked here.”
“I'm a traveller like you and the other trail magic researcher but for earth pony magic. The last two ponies was a Pegasus named Crash Rock and a Unicorn named Eco Night. I thought I was the best party planner but out of two, who’s the other?” Cheese questioned.
“Her name is Pinkie Pie she lives in Ponyville, giving joy where ever she goes and she sings a lot. Also known to have a pinkie sense when I was studding Earth pony magic there have been reports of her natural gift. There also has been reports of your cheesy sense. Then I looked into both your families but you were an orphan while Pinkie had a family on a rock farm. Pinkie’s family members each has their own powers. I tried to trace it back to who the first pony to have these powers but I never found it and weird thing is she has a very unique power to her family but minding and seeing the future as most theory’s go about her.”
“Wow maybe I’ll meet her one day have you?”
“No never, anyway about the meeting” I half lied.
“Oh right, let’s go” Cheese sandwich pushed out of bed and to the meeting.
At the meeting room--
“Oh good Ms Sparkle, you’re here, I want you to introduce you to the research team. I am Doctor who the head in the magic research” Then he pointed to a pink unicorn mare with a green flowing mane and a quill as a cutie mark. “This is Quill Write and I guessed you already meet Book Hat and Cheese Sandwich.” Then he pointed to a dark Pegasus mare with a purple mane styled like Rainbow Dash’s. Her cutie mark was a clock with a book in the middle sitting on top of a cloud. “This is Time Cloud and other sitting right next to her is the most powerful out of all of us in magic is Light Magic.” He pointed at a bright yellow mare with a pink curly mane. She had a yellow magic burst in the middle and a white ring surrounding it as a cutie mark. “Tell us something about the Twilight Sparkle”
“Oh, ok then, my parents are nobles called Twilight Velvet and Nightlight. I have a brother Captain of the royal guards named Shinning Armor. I grew up in Canterlot. I loved learning magic at a young age so my parents applied me for Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns. My entrance exam was to hatch Spike that I did. Then the sonic rainboom activated my horn to levitate myself in the air, then turned my parents into cactuses, then levitated the instructors in the air, then did a growth spell on Spike any made a light show with my eyes turned white. The princess came in and fixed everything by releasing my grip of my magic changing everything back, I became her student and got my cutie mark. Then life went on, somethings change and I end up here I guess.”
“That is an amazing you got to be pretty powerful then. Light you seem to have some compaction here. [Giggles]” Quill Write smirked.
“Will see about that. That story seems unbelievable if you ask me.” Light said.
“Believe it or not it still happened but I haven’t ever accessed that power since I was a filly. Let’s get back to the meeting shall we.” I half lied.
1 week later—
“Hey Twilight! Need a talk with you” Light coldly glared at me.
“What’s up Light? Is something wrong, did I do something?”
“Just remember your place if you know what’s good for you”
“What are you going to do about what? I came here to do some part time work for 3 months then I’ll be off to some more travelling with my son. ” Light glared at me. “I know my friend taught me if I’m sad you can eat cotton candy to make the pain go away, you want some.” Then some cotton candy appeared on my hoof.
“First how come you can do that nobody can conjunct cotton candy out of thin air without magic and with magic. You must be the biggest dummy I’ve ever seen. Remember your place newbie. Are you mocking me? If you don’t want to leave early you be quiet got that.”
“And what if I don’t?” Light stomped her hoof because I made her mad.
“That’s it I challenge you to a duel”
“I accept, what are the stacks? I’ve haven’t been in one in a while so I might be a little rusty” I said.
“If I win you leave and if you win I leave deal”
“Nope! If I win you’ll be my friend deal”
“You are crazy but deal unless you decide to chicken out at the last minute.” Light grinned.
“Never! Let’s duel” I smirked and stomped my hoof. Then Cheese came out of nowhere screaming his head off making me think he is crazy. Then a crowd of ponies picked us up and put us in the battle field.
Then Cheese presented himself in the middle of the battle field.“DUEL! DUEL! DUEL! FIRST NEW YEAR DUEL! IN THIS CORNER WE HAVE THE UNSTOPPABLE, UNBEATABLE LIGHT MAGIC” Cheese screamed at the top of his lungs. The crowd cheered her name. Note to self ‘don’t question where the crowd of ponies came from at such short notice or Cheese Sandwich. “AND IN THIS CORNER, NEW COMMER, TWILIGHT SPARKLE” The crowd cheered again. Then he ran across to the side lines at the end of the field. “LET THE BATTLE BEGAIN” .
“DRAW!” Light shouted and the lightning beam nearly hit me.
“JUST STAND STILL OR FIGHT, SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO!” Light shouted.
“YOU CAN DO IT, YOU ARE THE BEST AT MAGIC AND YOU CAN DO THIS MOM!” Spike shouted.
“This has been fun I’m ending this fight now” I ignited me horn to shoot a final big lightning bolt then but my chaos magic and normal magic mixed together creating a flash of bright light. Then Light Magic tried to use her magic to stop me but me magic was too strong. She also couldn’t because I bend magic to my will activating and stopping others from using magic. I had no control of what I was doing. My magic was going haywire levitating things above the air and shooting lightning bolts at the field. I was in the air with my eyes white. I could feel the power rushing though my body. I was shooting lightning bolts at everyone. I got angry by the magic controlling me, so I screamed and fort against it.
“NO, YOU WILL NOT CONTROL ME AGAIN. I WILL NOT ASCENDED. I AM IN CONTROL OF MY MAGIC. I AM STILL THE ELEMENT OF MAGIC SO I COMMAND ALL MAGIC. NOW STOP AT MY WILL!” Then my magic stopped and I appeared on the ground. That was the last thing I remember before fainting of loss of magic.
I found myself on a white bed in a small room. I rubbed my eyes to look at my surroundings realising I was in a hospital. Then I saw Spike beside my bed in a basket asleep.
“Spike, Spike ice cream”
“Ice cream, where? Oh, mom I’ve been so worried. You were in a coma for 4 days and I thought you were never going to wake up. I was so worried please don’t worry me again. What happened to you please tell me? You’ve been acting weird please tell me mom I want to help you. You have been different tell me, tell me please” Spike started to cry which I did the same.
“Oh Spike, what have I done. I can do nothing right. I shouted out.
“Yes you can now tell me please mom”
“Alright but you promise to not tell any pony”
“Promise”
“I…I…I am from the future and it’s…it’s…it’s not that pleasant so I ran away from it. I changed it. I’m sorry I just want us to be happy and not be controlled by fate.” I said crying
“Don’t worry about it but don’t scare me like that again” Spike and I hugged. “But what happened to you?”
“Well my chaos magic and my harmony magic mixed together creating a magical burst. Don’t…don’t worry about it Spike, let’s get out of here.” We both headed back though the door.
“Spike before you ask I’m not going to tell you about the future because I just changed it so it’s worthless now. Is anyone else here?” I asked.
“No just me, the researchers just left 3 hours ago, I think.” Once we checked out the hospital, a doctor said ‘about stay off using magic and the magic will recover’. Then he talked about all the boring stuff like don’t do this and I don’t know I wasn’t listening because I know this stuff after being told a hundred times literally, I can see why ponies don’t like things repeated.
“Just want to let you know that, this is not going to be an easy ride and I can’t promise you I wouldn’t be in danger but I promise you, I will always be by your side. I want you to make me a promise if something happens to me I want you to stay strong, can you do that for me.”
“I will and can you try not to get into dangerous situations. It would make me feel a little bit better if you did” I gave Spike a huge hug and kissed him on the head.
“I’ll try, come Spike we got some travelling to do. We’ve going to pack up and since you know I’m from the future I got some extra bits in a pocket dimension here” Some bits appeared in his hand. “Also the chaotic friend I was talking about taught me to conjunct bits as well. I just needed a job to prove I earned those bits or the police may question me.”
“Wait mom am I big with wings in the future you saw please I just need to know.”
“Yes Spike you are huge with wings. I do know that dragons aren’t immortal andnow live up to around by 100s. You do have a wife with beautiful children and let’s say that it was very interesting on how you meet. She is very dedicated and I like her she’s a wonderful dragon but that’s in a few more years yet” I smirked.
“At least I had a nice life but what was so terrible we had to leave.”
“That’s for me to know and you to find out, no spoilers and besides, I like having the cards in my hands and it’s time to turn the tables.”

Trix of Manhattan
Ok, after we packed are stuff, Spike and I decided to stay in Manhattan so I bought an apartment. We both agreed it would be a waste of money buying a house because of the travelling and such even if I could conjure up aload of bits at my hoof. As for the researchers, they apologised, including Light Magic. They wanted to study my outburst of magic while asking some questions but I refused and said nothing, obversely.
While heading to do some shopping, Spike showed me a poster of Trixie’s show happening tonight. My eyes shot shot at his. I remembered all the memories with Trixie's. We had great memories and became good friends thanks to Starlight.
“Do you know this mare mom?” Spike asked.
“Yes, let’s say we didn’t meet under the best of conditions. My friends called her a show off because she was bragging that she defeated an Ursa Major, which she didn’t. Trixie showed off her little magic tricks and then her minions released an Ursa Minor into town and she didn’t do anything to help. I defeated it and carried the Ursa Minor back to its mom in the cave using my magic. Trixie ran away from town then came back for revenge 2 years later after I took out an Ursa Minor, humiliating her so she enslaved the town with the evil Alicorn Amulet. I got kicked out of time because I couldn’t do an age spell. I managed to trick her into taking off the amulet with the help of my friends. Trixie apologies and we became friends a few years after and she made friends with a pony that related to hers.” I finished.
“Wow she must be powerful and clever to find something to beat your magic.” Spike smiled and I nodded.
“Let’s say that Trixie is better at stage magic then general magic.” Spike leaped on my back and carried him back to the apartment. “Trixie might not be the best at fighting and relies on her tricks but she is the best when it comes to the stage however these are her early years as a performer. She has a long way to go yet.”
“Can we go see her show?” I nodded to Spike. Then Spike started to fall asleep on my back.
At the apartment—
The next morning—
“Spike, breakfast” No response then I called out again. “Spike I said breakfast”. I went upstairs finding Spike not in his bed. I started to panic. “Oh no oh no oh no oh no Spike where are you please this is not funny.” My mind raced though ideas. I searched the hole apartment, panicking like a mad mare.
Then I had a version:A red mare with a pink coat appeared from the door. Her cutie mark was of sweets with a detective book as a background. “I am Red Sweet and you are in the police Station, we wanted you to answer a few questions now that you are awake. We’ve sorry to take you in but I need to ask. How did you meet your care taker?
“My mom, Twilight, hatched me 8 years ago with a magical outburst for the entrance exam at Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns. My mom used to be her faithful student but not anymore, I think anyway. She doesn’t like talking about it.” Spike then thought about how she’ll react to finding him gone. “Oh no Mom’s going to be so worried that I’ve gone missing. Do you know how mad she’ll be, knowing I’m gone? No you don’t”
“Don’t worry we will just tell her that we are taking you into the dragon training camps. You’re in our custody and we are sending you off tonight.” Red Sweet said
“No, what about Mom? I don’t want to leave her. Mom is going to be so worried, you don’t understand how powerful she is. You really shouldn’t mess with her or I. You haven’t seen her type of magic have you? No you haven’t you’ll be in trouble.” Spike shivered in place.
“Impossible but just in case we have protection against powerful unicorns. Anyway she’ll have no say in the matter and this is the police station. You’ll be parted tonight.” Red Sweet explained
“No you don’t understand this must be some kind of mistake and I can prosecute you for kidnapping me.” Then a police officer started dragging him out. ”No you wouldn’t take me, mom with come find me and when she does you’ll be sorry.”
“I’d like to see her try dragon.”
“No” I whispered. Every bone in my body was tapped in rage, then everything stated turning dark. I teleported to the police station where they held Spike. I could feel my magic acting more violently, once I teleported.
Police Station-- “Don't worry Spike, I'm here, I'll get you back.” Then I saw Red Sweet walking towards me.
“You must be the owner of young Spike.” Red Sweet smirked.
“Yes and if you want to live or Equestria saved from the danger in about a few mouths then, give me my son, if you know what’s good for you.”
“That’s a laugh, you save Equestria from what? [Laughter].” The rest of the room chuckled. I stood firm glaring at Red Sweet. I was so mad at him my blood was boiling.
“You have one last chance, give him back peacefully and nopony gets hurt ok” I calmly said.
“Sorry, Miss Twilight but he is not in your custody anymore. He is going to the dragon training camps so I suggest you go on and forget about him. But we charge you with illegal holding a dragon in your care for 8 years with reason that he told us a lie that you were Celestia’s student, what a joke.” Red Sweet said.
I smirked at her. She had no idea how she was dealing with. “Prepare to face your worse fear” Then I shot her with a fear spell, showing him his worse fear using dark magic. Then lots of alarms went off and the police were ordered to shoot. I blocked their attacks with my magic. Then I grabbed my son and placed him on my back. Frizzing all the police guard in place, I snapped Red Sweet out of my fear spell, finding herself frozen like the other police guards.
Then I smiled and shouted. “Now that you have all calmed down, I’m taking my son now. This could have been avoided but no you didn’t believe me. Don’t worry, I know this is a miss understanding but I’m still keeping my promise in keeping Equestria safe. I want a normal life with my son and you ponies took him away. Listen don’t take my son again or Equestria will have a bigger threat than King Sombra ever was. Actually don’t worry about him either because I’ll defeat him and bring the Crystal Empire back to keep the ‘peaceful Equestria with no dark forces what so ever’ what a joke. I’ll keep my promise as long as you don’t take him again.” I paused, Spike climbed on my back and I flew using my magic to lift myself in the air, which Starlight taught me. “Goodbye and don’t mess with me, the element of all magic and friendship or my son.” I waved flying out the window then, everything unfroze.
Police P.O.V—
“Yes we got to inform the princess. That was dark magic, she used. It hasn’t been used in the last 100s of years. We don’t know what where dealing with but we have a clue. She said something about the element of all magic and friendship. We need to research everything we can. And she also mentioned King Sombra and the Crystal Empire. We need to have a look into it.” The sheriff said.
Everybody was worried and shivered of the amount of magic used on them. They could feel the anger of the young mare. But they obeyed and were more than determined than ever to find out this mystery.
Back with Twilight and Spike—
“Spike, we have two options either a pocket dimension or the old castle. You pick. The old castle is in the Everfree Forest I’m heading there anyway but we can have a home in a pocket dimension if you like.” I knew this was going to be an adventure. I’m a run away, yes something new to do. Then Spike answered.
Spike rubbed his eyes and answered. “If you are going there anyway let’s go there.”
“But before we go I need to pick something up first.” Then I teleported to an old shop in the ally way.
Old shop --
“Hello, Miss how can I help you” The owner asked. I pointed to the Alicorn amulet. “I’m sorry miss but that amulet is not for sale.” I conjured up a bunched of bits in front of him and he singed gave it to me without a second thought. “Would you like it gift wrapped or in a bag” I smiled. I got the Alicorn amulet, then teleported Spike and I to the old castle.
The castle of the two royal sisters--
At Zecora's--
“Hello I’m Spike and this is my mom, Twilight” Spike greeted.
“Hello Zecora, this is going to sound a bit crazy but we need you to look after the amulet. You don’t know me but I know you and you are the best to look after the amulet. Let’s say it’s complicated and I cannot look after it. Nobody we have it and we are on the run at the minute. I beg of you to keep it safe please.”
“This is a mouth full to swallow in so come in and explain everything” Zecora offered. Spike and I agreed. I carried the amulet in my magic.
“Zecora, I know that I’m a stranger to you but you kept the amulet safe for many ye-“Then Spike covered my mouth. Spike shock his head reminding me I’m from the future don’t give too much away.
“This is of great interest to me, I agree without question. An adventure you seek and I’m taking part what excitement you face, I hope you quest turns well while every pony is at every corner you turn. Good Luck my friends, this isn’t the last time we speak and I’m sure we will speak again soon.” Zecora winked. I then knew, she knew that I knew. I was happy placed the amulet on Zecora’s table. Then Spike and I left her house.
Outside the forest--
“All will be explained but I we don’t have much time, we need to get to the castle.” We ran into the castle.
“The elements, Spike go in the other room.” He did and I focused on my friendship with my friends. I showed the elements memories on using the elements. I called on the element of magic before. Then a flash of bright light appeared. I found myself on the floor with the element of magic crown on top of my head. The rest of the elements stayed in stones meaning they are not awaken by there true bearer yet.
“Mom, where did that crown come from?” Spike asked.
“That, my dear son is the element of magic, it helped restored my full power of harmony” I put my hoof over him. “I am the element of magic and friendship to spread joy across the land” Then I muttered under my breath. “But they don’t ponies into immortal Alicorn that live a life of misery and despair for the rest of their natural born days. Watching everyone die around you and powerless to stop it.”
“You don’t have to worry about that anymore, the princess can’t hurt you here.” He gave me hug. “So what do we do now, mom?” I thought on our next move of action.
“You said you wanted to see Trixie perform, right”
“Yay” Spike thought for a moment. “Oh right let’s go.” Then I put my crown in the dimensional pocket so nobody could ever find it and only I can call on it, when needed.
“Spike since we are now run always we need a disguise.” I thought for a moment. “Spike do you want to be a pony and what colours?”
“Wait you can turn me into a pony?” He questioned.
“Yes, since ponies haven’t experienced chaos magic and or changeling magic we should be fine. Don’t ask.” I said bluntly. “Now give me colours and I’ll make it happen.”
“What about a Pegasus, orange coat and blue tail. Oh and my name could be Soprano Spike but could you really change me back to being a dragon again?” I nodded and his cutie mark was of a golden lock opened with a key beside it. Spike was happy.
“Yes,I can change you back. Do you really think I didn't have a counter spell to change you back? No, your name is Lock Tighten and Soprano Spike really. Anyway, how do you like your new look?” I asked
“I….love it and I like that name.” Then he started flapping his wings in excitement. “Thank you mom this is amazing, I’m flying. Wait what about your disguise”
I transformed. "I am going as a unicorn mare, named Midnight Eco Eclipse. My cutie is of an eclipse with a pink star in the centre. Before you asked I've always wanted that name since I was a filly, don't ask. Anyway I’m going to have a light, yellow coat. I have a curly blackish, blue mare and a bright, pink stripe in at the end. I also have a poofy tail with the same colours. Ok let’s go”
At Trixie’s show in town centre--
As expected there were police looking for me and I smiled. I thought to myself, oh how good I am at running. Spike was enjoying the show. I loved how ignorant they are thinking to catch me with my magic. I’ve literally been to Tartarus for 4 year and survived the demons that tried to kill me there. I was there because of a spell gone wrong and it took me forever to find a way out. The princess didn’t know I was there until I told them after getting back 200 years ago in my time. I’m never going back there again.

This is my 3rd chapter and there isn't going to be one for a while now since the holidays are up. This is where Twilight goes in disease and is actually on the run from the police. Yes she changed over the years. she had many battles after her friends died. Twilight needed the element of magic to restore her full power. She only used magic to contain the element of magic without her friends because she awoke the element before meaning that she has a connection with the element of magic. I'll get to Trixie soon. Twist, Turns Might Bring Some Burns
After the show- “Any Challenges up to face the wrath of the great and powerful Trixie” Trixie parallelized the crowd with her fireworks and amazing light show. The crowd cheered as Trixie performed more of her tricks. I stood there and spook up.
“I challenge the great and powerful Trixie to a duel” The crowd gasped.
“Come up and see what you can do” Trixie smirked. Fortunately y I knew all her tricks and the ones she doesn’t know.
I replied with a smirk. “Let’s duel!” The crowd was a buzzing with excitement.
I then started off with a teleportation spell. I guessed I should make it a little easy but not just for her for me since I don’t any more magical bursts.
“I can teleport what about you” I didn’t even let her answer before I spook once more. “Or what about a simple age spell” I lit my horn turning all the adults into little colts and fillies. Everybody gasped and before anyone could run of froze the audience in place making them think they were in a dream not been able to hear anything around us. I turned to Trixie.
“Well Trixie was that in amazing or what?” Trixie was lost at words what to say until mustering up the courage to speak up.
“HOW? NO pony can do those spells! I must be losing it. WHAT? HOW?” With Trixie’s loud gasps of breath, she calmed down.
“Hello Trixie I am Midnight” Then Lock came onto stage “And this is my son Lock, adopted.
“It’s nice to meet you” Lock said
“It’s nice to meet you too. It’s not every day I meet a unicorn like Midnight” Trixie replied.
“Yay I guess but I came here to talk to you” I continued. “First off remember that there is always somebody stronger than you even me. You shouldn’t get over confident and underestimate your opponent. Everybody has different talents and yours is stage magic. You can wow a crowd and bring joy to so many ponies.” I put a hoof on her shoulder. “But you shouldn’t thing you’re the most powerful not caring for them. You want attention from others but not at others expense. Off stage you are still a pony. What I’m saying is would you be my friend?” I offered.
“I’ll keep that in mind but why me? I…I…never had a friend before” Trixie questioned.
“Let’s say I see a potential friend and besides I’m doing some travelling myself so I see are paths crossing soon.” I smiled and looked at lock.
“Hope to see another show it was cool!” Lock commented.
“Come on Locken let’s go, I’ll write, bye Trixie hope to see you soon.” Then as I waved and teleported off with Spike, everything was back to normal making the audience clueless to what happen.
The castle of the two sisters-
“Spike wake up its morning”
“5 more minutes mom!”
“Tell you what, I go into Ponyville without you and get some cupcakes”
“Really!”
“Yes but who is to say I wouldn’t eat them all by the time I get back.” I smirked. His eyes widened
“Alright! Aright! I’m coming”
Then we put our disguises on and headed to town. I always feel this vibe, I’m being watched when I go through these woods. Once we made it out, ponies were staring at us. Locken and I ignored them as usual and headed though town.
“Locken this is our home” I explained. “This is where harmony was made to protect all of Equestria….” I continued to explain the nightmare moon incident and how harmony concerns us all.
“Dear Locken I present you with” I spoke in a fancy tone and waved my arms for effect. “Super Cube Corner with the best treats you will ever taste in your life!”
“Are you a T.V advert or is it just the time traveling business?
“The 2nd one” As we entered the shops, Pinkie pie was happily smiling. It reminds me of the fun times we used to have. I still haven’t figured her out or her dependents power to manipulate everything around them. Since then I just gave up trying. I remembered the first party she threw me. At that time I hated parties. I swear she is a mini discord.
“Mom, can we go and eat yet, I’m hungry.” Locken stomach rumbled. Then Pinkie Pie greeted us.
"Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie. It’s nice to meet you. Are you new in town? What’s your name? Oh you are new I got to thought you a welcome to Ponyville party.” Pinkie asked. I looked at her and tried to speck. No words came out. And I thought this would be easy. Every moment I’ve spent with her came flashing before my eyes. The laughter. The parties. The adventures and the sleep overs. Lost in thought Pinkie waved her hoof in front of my eyes as I came too. “Hello, anypony in their?”
I shook my head and replied. “Yeah, sorry about that just thinking about somethings”
“What were you thinking about?” Pinkie inquire.
“Just…you look like a friend I used to know.” I said softly
“What happen to your friend?”
“She…she died a long time ago.”
“I’m sosososososososo sorry. But don’t worry I’ll turn that frown upside down”
“That wouldn’t be necessary. I’ll just take my order please.”
“But-“I put my hoof to her mouth.
“Please!” Pinkie decided not to press further we ordered some cupcakes.
Tears poured out from my eyes. “Spike!” Sobbing harder bran back memory that can never be erased

That night I looked up belonged the balcony at the night sky. Millions of stars covered the beautiful night. All in order, perfect design and patterns. My thoughts all messed up. I stared up as the stars twinkled ‘what I am doing here?’ I’m just repeating history just in a different way. This is a different night a dull sky with no effort or any passion. The stars may twinkle but they are dull. The night sky maybe silent but it isn’t peaceful. Luna did a better job than Celestia as I just realised. When I went to that different time line Nightmare moon she didn’t feel the sky with passion but fear. The sky has no peace, only darkness. Still wonder, how they all survived without the warmth of the sun for so long. ‘I could just let her rule since they all seemed to have survived without the day’ I banished that thought since but started to consider it. I could have my revenge on Celestia for this mess. Maybe. However I thought of letting Sombra deal with her. Or Discord. As I ponded on those thoughts, I drifted off to sleep on it.
The Sky was dark and chilling. I sensed fear. I sensed anger. NO harmony. Everything was cold. I looked around clearing my version seeing Luna’s guard in front of me. They were wearing a cold expression. Rubbing my eye and turned to find myself in a prison cell. First thought. Dreaming!
“What happened?” I asked. I’m going to just go with the flow.
“Don’t you remember, you landed in the court? Of the guards saw you and bought you here. It’s not every day an Alicorn just comes out of the air.” The guard took off his helmet explaining the situation. The guard was one of Luna’s guard. He had a black and light blue mane. His coat was a dark blue.
I turned my head slowly to my back to see two wings on my back. “Oh no oh no oh no…. I thought I got rid of these-“I started flapping in a panic. “Stupid wing I want to come down-“I guard got his spear looking ready to attack. “I hate being a stupid Alicorn, I don’t want to live FOREVER again.” I started to descend with my eyes crying and sobbing.
“If you may be so kind and come peacefully then you won’t get hurt” I glared at him. My expression changed. I slowly walked up to him and whispered.
“If you think you can hurt me you are mistaken. I’ve tried that alright. Long with many others more powerful than you and do you know what?” He didn’t get time to answer. “They couldn’t I have more knowledge, experience and power than you know with fighting. Don’t challenge me!” He didn’t say a word and leaded me though the prison cells. There was many prisoners big and small. The hall seemed endless. Until we ended up at the main doors to the throne room. The guard knocked on it. I wasn’t scared or frightened I knew this was a dream.
“ENTER!” A powerful voice from inside spook. It could only be nightmare moon. As we entered the throne room. I got that chilling feeling again. “Leave us and let nobody over hear us. Understood!”
The guard shuttered. “Crystal” Then he exited the room, leaving the two of us alone.
“Well, well, well! If it isn’t the princess of magic herself.” Nightmare moon snickered. I did not speak or say anything but looked to the floor. Nightmare moon walked over and held my head up. “Not going to say anything huh? Pitiful.”
“This is just a dream and YOU are not real.” I shouted. The nightmare smirked. Then the nightmare detached from Luna’s body. Luna laid there in her form like the first time I defeated her. As I stared at Luna, a foggy mist raced towards me. It felt dark and powerful. Memories I buried long ago appeared in front of my eyes. Deaths. Destruction. Chaos. The pain was too much for me to bare. At the finial memory I saw me in my dark form. Midnight Sparkle. I liked the name but what I turned into was…… So many I’ve killed. Nightmare moon never killed anyone but me... I don’t know. I promised myself I would never do that again. As the memory faded turning into a starry place, the nightmare appeared in a shape of Midnight Sparkle.
“It hurts doesn’t it? I can help u.” I slammed my hoof on the ground.
“NO I DON’T NEED YOUR BUCKING HELP! YOU REINED MY SANTITY AND YOU WILL PAY” I shot a powerful beam at the nightmare. There I stood alone in the hall of the universe. No longer was I in my dream, I was at peace. I signed laying on the beautiful stars. Just then a flash of light appeared in my sight.
“I’m back baby. Finally I got out that thing you can’t believe how uncomfortable that was since it’s been a long time I’ve been in that.” A familiar voice. The light dimmed as I saw Discord standing in view.
“DISCORD!” that was the only word that came out.
“No hello Discord or how you doing Discord. Aren’t we friends.” I took a deep breath, clearing my thoughts as I spook.
“Hello Discord! Sorry about that how did you get here.”
“Teleporting duh!” I glared at him. “Fine I came with you. I made my self-invisible so I could come with you.”
“Why?” I questioned.
“To help you out.” I glared at him. “I wanted to cause some chaos” He smiled as continued to glare at him. “Fine I wanted to see Fluttershy again. You can’t believe how hard it is. She was my first friend. I’m all powerful but I can’t raise the dead.

The song ended as we stared at each other. I broke the silence. “What do we do?”
“We are going to make things go are way. Twilight, you and I will get are happily ever after.” Discord stood up wearing a military costume with a proud look. I smiled as he held out his claw pulling me up.
“Yeah we will.” I whispered to him. “Can I come to the wedding?” I winked at him. Discord blushed replying. “Yeah of course.” I gave him a hug. The place began to fade from my vision.
Finding my self-awake in my bed. I got out of bed and took a slower. As I got out I could smell some pancakes. Smelling the pancakes, I trotted downstairs seeing Discord and Spike at the table.
The Spike asked. “Want some pancakes?” Discord, Spike and I ate at the table explaining the situation to Spike. Something tells me Spike already knew as soon as Discord appeared when he appeared in the kitchen.
“Hey old buddy, want to see Twilight first flying lesson”
“Don’t you even thi-“I was cut off my as the images unfolding. I smiled and signed. ‘Glad your hear Discord’.

Twilight P.O.V
Dear Diary Everything was going smoothly at the castle. Discord and I were planning out what to change. I am going to get to change my destiny and Discord is going to get his love. As for my love, he was called Blade I met him as a filly. We had a child a year before I went to Ponyville. King Blade and I were in love but when I found out I was pregnant I gave up Moonlight to him, now maybe I could go back and raise my child but…. I have a destiny to complete. I am going to spend more time with her this second chance. I am going to introduce Moonlight to Spike, her (step) brother. Moonlight became queen after her farther died and joined forces with Equestria after 1000 years of isolation. Her talent was balance of dark and light magic. She discovered new magic of balance. One of the special rulers that will be remembered 100s of years after she died. Since she is half bat pony and half unicorn she had a shorter life span. But she continued to rule for about 308 years so then my grandson, Thunder Frost, took rule over after her passing and many generations continued yet none did not want anything to do with I that is my own doing I guess. ( Note- Batponies usually live to 400 years and Twilight was a unicorn when gave birth. Before you ask how nobody not even her parents knew about pregnancy is due to the Great Flame that speed time up for Moonlight to be born quickly within seconds. Yet all of time around was just went normally. Moonlight grew up normally not rapidly aging after that event.) My sister Midnight when I created the first year of Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns she was an Alicorn. That’s when we decided to hide her wings out of fear or what will come if anyone found out. Midnight was sent to the orphanage but we remained her identity a secret but that story is for another time. Anyway she and I never got on since we kept the secret. Her powers was extraordinary with the powers of chaos, dark and arcane magic. Years later around the same time as me, Midnight had a son, Dusk Spruce, with her husband Timber Spruce. Dusk Spruce was a bat pony with a horn, having both magic of his mother and father. (Note: Timber is a bat pony). Dusk was always the athletic type. He won many awards like swimming, country running, gymnastics, flying completions, you name it. Then around about now she had another son, Mystic Night, which was an Alicorn. He was the quiet yet scary all the same. Magic was his specialty was particularly dark magic, not just magic the power of knowledge is what he craved. Funny enough he never turned evil but used his dark magic for helping other. Anyway years later when Timber die, Midnight was never seen again. I tried to look high and low for her but nothing. Her children couldn’t find her but again they could be lying. I have a theory she could have either killed herself which is REALLY difficult since I tired myself a few times or just went in a deep sleep to never wake up. For some reason my friends never found out about my little secret or my parents or brother or the princesses, I think. I believe the only ones that found out was Flurry Heart, Spike, Midnights adopted parents, Discord, Timber, Blade, the kids, Midnight and I. Spike is going to love being a big brother once I tell him. Plus I know Flurry Heart got on along with Moonlight probably because of that adventures they both secretly had with Spike they thought I didn’t know about.
Anyway as for my friends they got married, had children and questioned why I haven’t. I guess some secrets will remain secret. I really should have not erased there memories once they caught me and Blade’s secret. In my time they still live on. To conclude I don’t understand why I wanted to go back. I had a good life. I had my children. I had friends. Yet as I say this I wasted a lot of my life in isolation after children and family die around me. Cadence became evil, after my brother died, trying to get rid of all love. She was killed by Celestia and Luna with the elements after I… refused to. I hadn’t seen my niece or the empire for ages after that. This was just after Moonlight died. Celestia was willing to kill and get her sister along with it. I bet Celestia didn’t even cared about my friends either. Thought out her teachings, she was training me to be used me as a weapon to defend Equestria. I was a puppet and once I fulfilled my purpose she just toss me away until I was needed again. The effects of negate started as soon as all my friends died. Where I needed it most she wasn’t there. But I had Cadence and Midnight though out the difficulty. Years later when Timber died came Midnight disappearance and are secret meetings, she never showed up. I blamed Celestia making use that stupid spell to make me immortal yet I questioned why Midnight was an Alicorn to begin with. The spell that I used to create Midnight was to separate my dark side not really to make her at all to be honest. Probably I put too much power creating a conscious. Maybe some destiny thing I am unware. I guess I will never know. After that I turned to Eclipse and nearly killed Celestia. Never a day goes by that I regret it. I fled Equestria for 94 years until I returned broken. I hide out with Spike and his family for that time but most of the time I went to hide in the stars of the night crying. I took control of the stars which Luna raised the moon after my last friend, Rainbow Dash, died of old age.
For my students future they lived on with their lives. Sunset married Flash Sentry from the other world. I got to remember to help her soon so she can find happiness. Starlight and Sunburst got together. Oh, how I knew it. I may not be Cadence but of course we all knew they loved each other. That reminds me I got to get them together. Yay I am match maker and a time traveler.
Oh Diary I wish I couldI don’t… I want a change that’s why I came. I don’t need these grudges of things that might me. Not many can have a second chance yet I have. I will NOT waste it even if I have to build it from scratch. All my accomplishments I…I…I erase that for some selfish purpose. Years of experiences and strength I gained I got rid of all of this. I will earn nothing fairly due to my knowledge of what will. Never regret the past they say never regret yet I did. No Twilight you can’t start the regret now you are too far deep, I say. One day I will learn but not today.
