Define Loyal For Me

I grabbed my skis, racing for the door. I couldn't wait for this weekend, since, for once in my life, my friends wanted to do something cool! I received the invitation from Twilight a couple hours ago, and was surprised, but didn't question it, since it was probably Applejack's idea or something. I knew she had a tendency to be cool once and a while. That's why she's my second best friend. Flutters had to be my bestest, and oldest friend. I smiled warmly as the memories of us at flight camp returned. Snapping back to what I was doing, I grabbed my skis and flew out the door, a gust of wind and rainbow leaving the only trance of where I used to be standing.

As I landed on the ground, I saw my friends. Trotting over to them, I smiled, watching my breathes in front of me, the cold air leaving them visible.

"Hey guys!" I shouted to them, making Flutters jump, and Twilight to turn around.

As soon as I saw her face, I knew something was wrong. She had on that, look. The one that meant she'd just finished up an argument, or something in that category.

"Whoa... who died?" I said to Twilight.

"Our friendship," Twilight said with no emotion.

At first I left out a laugh... then I saw the rest of their faces. They all had a grim look, and I was worried.

"You're... you're joking, right? I-I mean, how could the group spilt up? We're the elements!" I cried, my voice cracking.

Applejack stepped to the front of the group, taking "authority".

"The group ain't spilttin' up, we're just kickin' you out!" Applejack said, my eyes filling with tears.

I looked at them all one by one. They all nodded.

"B-But why?!" I sobbed, loosing my dignity once and for all.

"'Cause y'all are a jerk! You don't deserve to be our friend. You ain't even loyal! But, somehow y'all ended up with that darn title! But, since the Elements are gone, we've decided to kick you out of the... "group". You're bein' replaced by Starlight, or anypony for all I care!" Applejack hollered, shoving our snouts together.

I wanted to kick her, fly away, and cry in my room, but I just sat and sobbed. I looked to Fluttershy. She was the only one showing the least bit of sympathy. I smiled to her, but she just shut her eyes, letting the tears roll down her little yellow face.

"Come on girls, I don't wanna be a part of this pity party before our fun trip," Twilight said, leading the group away.

My hooves flailed out, into the snow. I looked to Fluttershy as she looked back at me. I watched, as she mouthed the words "I'm sorry", to me. And there she went... my oldest, and bestest friend.
