Saving Princess Twilight

They arrived in Ponyville around noon and both were hungry. While Starlight had been using her wings a lot lately she was able to make the flight with no problems but Celestia had become a bit out of shape so it was a bit tiring for her. Starlight saw Celestia breathing heavily and asked, "Celestia, are you alright?"

Celestia replied, "No. I haven't done much flying for a while so my wings are a bit out of shape."

Starlight's stomach began to growl, "Celestia, Spike what do you say we go and get something to eat?"

Celestia asked, "Can we get some cake?"

Spike asked, "I wonder if Rarity will be there?"

While Starlight was hungry for some meat, she knew that Celestia was the primary princess. She sighed, "Yeah, we can. Perhaps my friends will be there and we can go get Twilight freed from Trixie's spell."

When they arrived they were immediately greeted by Pinkie, "Hi Princess Celestia, Hi Princess Starlight, Hi Spike! Can I get you something sweet to eat?"

Celestia licked her chops, "Yes!" She pointed her hoof towards a huge cake in the display case, "I want that one!"

Spike replied, "Of course! You know I love the cake here!"

Starlight added, "Yeah, I'll take a couple of slices. I don't want to eat too much though because all of us have things we must do today."

Applejack asked, "All of us?"

Celestia replied, "Yes, all of us."

Starlight figured that now would be as good of a time as any to reveal their plans. She began, "Alright ladies, today is going to be a special day. Today is going to be the day we free Twilight from Trixie's control."

Rainbow asked, "How the hay are we going to do that? She probably won't even let us in."

Rarity added, "And if she does let us see her she has Twilight so far under her control she will likely just yell at us."

Starlight continued, "The last time we were able to see Twilight things were different." She spread her wings wide and continued, "But this time there will be two princesses present." She stood taller and continued, "And I'm pretty sure that when she sees two princesses marching in, she will cave into our demands and we can break this spell."

Rarity asked, "I don't mean to question you judgment darling but won't we need a spell? I doubt we'll just be able to go in there, fire energy at her and break the spell."

Fluttershy added, "And uhm, she has that fertility spell cast upon herself. What will she do about that?"

Starlight remembered about how Trixie wanted her to cast a fertility spell and it brought out anger in her. She snapped, "She has a fertility spell cast upon herself? Well we'll just have to fix that, won't we? Whether it be a spell or me ripping that horn out of her head with my teeth, I'll make sure she never impregnates another mare."

Celestia glared at her, "Starlight, you can't go doing that. I know you have this warrior mentality now but what did I tell you earlier today?"

Starlight sighed, "That we can't treat this like a search and destroy mission."

Applejack asked, "So how exactly are we going to do this?"

Celestia replied, "Well I can't tell you exactly because it will depend on how Trixie behaves. If she does not resist in letting us see Twilight, we will simply go in and try to lift the spell."

Spike held up the horn cap and added, "But we think that we should put this on Trixie before we try anything."

Rarity asked, "What is that?"

Starlight replied, "A horn cap. We can not have her discharging any magic while we are working on freeing Twilight. If she was to be able to do so, that could reduce our chances of freeing her."

Rainbow asked, "So when do we want to do this?"

Celestia replied, "Well I was thinking we could do it this after........"

Starlight interrupted, "I think we need to do this as soon as we finish our snacks. This could take a while and I think things will flow more easily if Celestia doesn't have to take a break to lower the sun."

Celestia said, "Starlight, if I'm not there Luna will know to do it for me."

Starlight sighed, "Oh alright, we'll wait until this afternoon."

Celestia replied, "Besides, I don't want to feel like I'm being rushed in eating my cake." She began to giggle, "As my sister would say it, 'being rushed through eating our cake would make us most unhappy!'"

Everypony except Starlight burst out laughing over this. Starlight just couldn't understand why they weren't in as big of a hurry as she was. She almost felt like they were taking this way too lightly but she was going to make sure of one thing. She thought to herself, "I don't care what anypony else wants or thinks, I'm going to haul Trixie's pathetic flank to Tartarus myself if I have to."
