When Scorne, the Haemonculus Ancient of the Kabal of the Iron Lotus, loses his loves for the arts, his faithful minions try to cheer him up by proposing a raid into a vermin-settled region near the Eye of Terror.

However, on Equestria, an unprecedented Solar Eclipse has everypony up in a tizzy, preparing for a celerbration or gathering to watch. Studious Twilight is apprehensive of this and busies herself trying to explain this sudden celestial anomoly.
