"...ake up, warrior." I heard someone say as I came to. How I was waking up I have no clue, as I'm pretty sure I just got my neck snapped in a crash.
"W-who said that, better yet how am I alive? I'm positive I just got slammed into by a drunk." Is the first thing I ask.
"I am just a messenger, young one. but I can tell you this, you are needed in a world that is not your own, and the only way to get you there is to give you a new body. Which means that the old one must be discarded." The same voice said.
"So basically what I'm getting is that the god of some alien world decided to kill me so they could stick me in a new body to save said alien world?"
"When you put it like that it sounds cruel. But, yeah pretty much" Great, divine beings from alternate worlds are deciding what I should do with my life now.
In the cave of the Tree of Harmony a crystal began to crack and as it shattered, a vulpine figure emerged. well at the same a Griffon and a Pegasus entered the cave, lost and confused as to where in the world they were after that wild storm threw them of course by Faust knows how far.
"You can probably drop the whole pony act now, Arht." the Griffon said, her voice extremely tomboyish.
"Yeah... you're probably right, G." came her companions reply as he was engulfed in green flame, revealing a black chitin clad equine with compound eyes, fangs, and insect like wings. "What's the likelyhood of someling being in this exact cave?"
"My head... did anyone catch the number of the Sumo that decided to practice his palm-strikes on my head?" a voice said as a fox with seven tails and swords on his hip turned the corner, the paw on its head suggesting he was the one to speak.
"What the buck is that thing?" was the only thing the Griffon could say before the fox was engulfed in a crimson flame. the next thing the pair of travelers knew, the strange vulpin was now bipedal, with hands like a Minotaur, in a strange robe like garb. his swords drawn and at their throats, with his arms crossed ready to slice off their heads.
"I have a better question for you two, Where, the hell, am I?"
About a half hour later, I looked the way I had before except with less of a deadly glint in my eyes as they all sat at the back of the cave, my Katana and O-Wakizashi once again resting in their sheaths. "So none of us know where we are other than 'Equestria' and 'a cave' then? Damn it."
"Sorry foxman, but we got blown off course by a wild storm, sides I'm about as pleased as you about this. From the pain in my wing I'm guessing that I won't be flying for the next month, I am pretty sure I broke it." the Griffon, Gilda, said.
"Kitsune."
"What?"
"That's what I am, a Kitsune, it's a type of Yokai."
"Ah yes, mischievous fox spirits from Neighpon. I never thought your kind were real, but that's what other races thought about us Changelings until recently. I guess shape shifters are just good at staying hidden, and your kind have a bonus to the staying hidden with your affinity for illusionary magic." responded the Changeling, Arthropod. Although most of his friends call him Arth apparently, and I can see why.
"Yeah well I kinda have zero memory past what I am and my name, I think it's my name at least."
"well I'm gonna go see if the storms done so yeah, you and Arth can talk all you like." with that said Gilda stood up and walked off.
"Well, if you think you know your name, what is it?"
"Ronin, my name is Ronin."
