The Many Heirs of King Thorax
King Thorax has been king for two whole years, he's gotten the hang of it for the most part but now... "I have to what?!" he asked shouting slightly.
"Breed, as king you have to breed and birth more eggs for the hive." his chancellor explained. "It's tradition for every newly crowned king or queen to breed for the first time, it's your royal duty and obligation." he explained further. Thorax started to sweat.
"B-But I can't! I'm not married!" Thorax said looking nervous. The chancellor shook his head.
"You don't need to marry, it's not necessary, it's optional." he explained. "You need to pick at least one broodmare, perhaps you can enlist your pony friend's help?" he asked. Thorax thinks for a moment.
"I suppose I could ask Starlight or Trixie, it's only temporary right?" Thorax asked.
"Yes, after they lay the eggs they can go." he answered. Thorax hesitates, he can't just ask something as intimate as this to his friends, he has a responsibility as king and his fellow changelings but at the same time.
"I... I can't do this, it's embarrassing." he said looking very embarrassed. "How soon do I have to do it?" he asked.
