Shadow was a black unicorn with a black mane and black eyes. Her heart had some blackness in it at one point, but it was thanks to her that it was cleansed. She had gone to a new program to meet other ponies. Today, she was only meeting with one pony who had really wanted to meet her.
"May I have a second chair?" she asked to the front desk when she arrived.
"No need, Miss Shadow. There's already three chairs, we did read your little note at the bottom of the page,"
She gave the pony a smile; few ponies ever believed her. She sat down in the chair to wait for the other pony whom she was meeting with.
"Excuse me, but your name is Shadow, correct?"
She glanced up and saw the stallion that had desperately wanted to meet her.
"Yes, I'm Shadow,"
"I've wanted to meet you for the longest time!"
"I've heard, Quick Quill" she gave a small chuckle, "But I never was told why,"
Quill switched from happy to more serious.
"I wanted to hear the story. Some say it isn't true,"
"Oh, it's true,"
Quill gave a smile and started for the chair next to Shadow.
"The other one," she said, "That one's taken already,"
"Wow," Quill took the other chair, "You really can't see her,"
"You'll probably see her when I'm talking, well, technically when she's talking. Magic can be a bitch,"
Quill pulled out a note pad and quill, as was most appropriate. He held the quill with his wing and the note pad with his hoof.
"Can you tell me now?"
Shadow gave a smile as she started talking.
"It all started on an ordinary day. I was just casting a spell I had just read about, thinking it would be harmless," she laughed before continuing, "Boy, was I wrong!"
