Chapter 1: The Twins Enter Ponyville
The twins were sitting on the train waiting to arrive in Ponyville. They were coming from Manehatten because it was far too crowded for their taste and they wanted to set up a shop of their own. "So do you think they'll be rather kind in Ponyville?" Nebula asked as she stared out the window. Cosmos shrugged as he took a sip of his hot tea. "I've heard that they're quiet hospitable. The only thing that stood out to me when I was asking around was that somepony mentioned a mare called 'Pinkie Pie.' From what I understand, she's very loud and has a love for parties." Nebula raised a brow hearing the name. "Ah yes, the name sounds familiar. I think she sounds like fun." She paused and looked down at her hooves chuckling. "Although I've been wrong before." They both quietly chuckled to themselves. A few hours later the train arrived and they grabbed their suitcases, walking off the train. Nebula stopped as the got off and looked around. She thought it quite comfortable and homely. Cosmos looked around with a small smile on his face as he thought the same. They exchanged a look and continued walking into town. No sooner than they did they heard a voice from behind them. "New ponies?! I must give them the proper welcome!" As they sat through the rather loud and obnoxious cheer they had a small on their faces. That is until it changed to shock as they were covered in cake batter. "Oh I must have put the confetti in the oven and cake batter in the confetti cannons...again!" Pinkie laughed before devouring the cake batter cast of her in one bite. The twins shook off the cake batter and Nebula walked up to Pinkie with a serious face. "That...was awesome!" Nebula shouted with a grin. Her and Pinkie started laughing while Cosmos rolled his eyes jokingly. Pinkie then started bouncing up and down. "Come on! I'll introduce you to everypony!" She said as she started bouncing away. The twins looked at each other before following her through Ponyville. After a few minutes of walking she lead us into a quaint little shop. "This is Sugarcube Corner. You two treat yourselves as I go round up the girls." She said as she threw a small bag of bits on the table in front of them. "Be back before you can say 'chimi cherry changa.' She said as she ran out the door. The twins shrugged and walked up to the counter ordering a couple cupcakes each. They sat down and quietly ate their cupcakes while they waited for Pinkie to return.
"So y'all are new around here are ya?" Applejack asked. Nebula and Cosmos nodded as the others stared at them. "Are you fast?" Rainbow Dash asked before laughing. "I mean sure you are, but not as fast as me. The fastest flier in Equestria!" She boasted as Applejack rolled her eyes. "Don't y'all pay attention to her, she tends to brag a lot." Applejack said as she glared at Rainbow. "It's not bragging if it's a fact AJ." Just as Applejack turned to Rainbow, to yell at her no doubt, Nebula chimed in with a mischievous smile. "I bet I can beat you in a race Rainbow Dash." Rainbow looked at Nebula doubtfully with her forehooves crossed. "I doubt that. You wouldn't even be worth the time." Nebula's smile deepened. "What? Are you chicken?" Rainbow was in her face as Nebula finished the sentence. "No! I'll take your challenge, just start crying when you lose." Nebula did a mock scoff. "I would never. You're the one that's going to be crying when you lose your title as the fastest flier in Equestria." Rainbow growled at her. "Liar."
"Gay pride."
"Emo fuck."
"Gutter slut."
"Enough!" Twilight shouted. "Save the insults for the race."
Rainbow and Nebula exchanged competitive glares as Applejack facehoofed, along with the other girls, and Cosmos looked at the floor shaking his head smiling. 'Rainbow has no idea what she's up against.' He thought.
