Or at least it will later in the story. Just a quick thing since I haven't written anything pony related in a while. Will put up more chapters as I write them.
Chapter 1
Rainbow Dash soared through the skies above Ponyville. She maneuvered up, over and through the puffy clouds that littered the clear blue expanse. She finished her aerial display with one last daring loop before gracefully landing on one of the small clouds. She looked down for a moment, taking in all the sights.
She was used to seeing this high up, but she always loved the view. The town she knew so well looked so different when viewed from this height. From the comfy cloud she sat on, she could see everything. Applejack was selling apples with her little sister, Scootaloo was scooting along on her little scooter, and Fluttershy was wearing a large, poofy diaper while being walked by Discord on a leash.
Wait, what?
The confused pegasus did a double take, but the sight was still there. Her dear friend Fluttershy was clearly dressed in a dog collar and a foalish diaper, and her not-so-dear friend Discord was walking her down a crowded street. And upon closer inspection, she could see that he was wearing a diaper too.
Something must be up, she thought to herself.
Rainbow dashed through the cloud she was sitting on and down to where Fluttershy and Discord were and made her presence known.
“Discord! What did you do to Fluttershy this time!”
Her landing startled the padded pony and draconequus. Fluttershy whimpered, but calmed down when she realized that is was just Rainbow Dash. Discord cleared his throat before speaking up in his usual sarcastic tone.
“Now, now, Miss Dash. Keep your voice down. You’re embarrassing us.”
“Me? Embarrassing you? Puh-leese! You’re the one humiliating Fluttershy by forcing her to be tied up and wear a… diaper.”
Rainbow Dash’s voice trailed off at the mention of the garment.
“Forcing? Nopony is forcing, anypony to do anything. This is all Fluttershy’s idea. I’m just here to support her like a good friend would.”
“Yeah right. Like I’d believe anything you’d say. This is probably all part of some elaborate plan of yours.”
Discord let out a halfhearted sigh.
“I won’t waste my breath arguing with you. If you won’t believe me, then maybe you’ll believe you’re friend here. Fluttershy, speak.”
Fluttershy adjusted herself before doing as she was told.
“Discords right, Dashie. I asked him to do this. He’s not forcing me, we’re just having a bit of fun.”
“Fun? I don’t mean to judge you Shy, but are you sure you’re having fun?”
Fluttershy gave a hearty nod.
“Of course! Discord and I do stuff like this all the time. I’ll admit I was a teensy bit hesitant to try this out in public, but after a bit of encouragement from Discord, I was so excited to be his little pet for him. Isn’t that right, daddy?”
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes and grimaced at Discord.
“What?” he responded, “I just want my little Flutterbutter here to overcome shyness and be more comfortable with herself in a more... public setting. And what better way than to do something like this? Plus she’s having fun, and isn’t that what’s important.”
The draconequus gave Fluttershy a series of pets while cooing at her. Fluttershy stuck her tongue out and wagged her tail happily, causing the diaper wrapped around her to crinkle loudly.
“Well what about the diapers? Is that all a part of this too?”
Fluttershy averted her attention back at the pegasus.
“Yes of course. It may seem a bit strange, but diapers are something I have always been drawn too. They’re so soft and warm and comforting. There’s nothing quite like it!”
Rainbow Dash tilted her head for a moment in thought before responding.
“That makes sense… sorta. But why is Discord in one?”
Discord chimed back into the conversation.
“I didn’t want Fluttershy to be the only one wearing such a bold fashion statement, so I decided I’d wear one with her. Besides, ever since little Flutts here let me in on her secret, I’ve been hooked on these bad boys. They're the perfect balance of style and comfort.”
He snapped his fingers and made summoned a large mirror behind him. He struck several poses while admiring his reflection.
“Although they do make my butt look a bit big.”
The cyan pegasus stared at the scene for a few moments. Fluttershy was wagging her tail happily while complementing Discords figure in his thick diaper as he posed for her. The diapers themselves were quite cute actually. They were decorated with a lacey pink design over the plain white fabric. Fluttershy’s cutie mark was etched onto the front where the tapes were secured. Dash was a bit stunned that they even made foalish diapers that fit grown ponies.
Behind the odd display, she could see other towns ponies walking about, giving a variety of looks from mildly curious to flat out confounded. Yet the pair continued on without a care in the world. Rainbow Dash knew Discord and Fluttershy’s relationship was a bit on the weird side of things, but this was a bit too much for her to take all at once.
“I still don’t know about all this. Something still seems fishy for me.”
Discord stopped his eccentric modeling and turned back to the dissatisfied pegasus.
“Well it seems there is just no pleasing you, Miss Dash. We’ve told you nothing but the truth, and you still won’t believe me. You’re breaking my heart.”
A faint glass shattering effect resounded and Discord began to play dead. Fluttershy turned to Rainbow Dash and comforted her.
“I know it’s a bit weird to see all this so suddenly. How about this. Discord and I were just about to go for lunch at a little cafe not too far from here. Why don’t you join us? That way you can see for yourself that we’re just trying to have a good time.”
Discord rose from playing opossum and spoke.
“That’s a wonderful idea, Flutterbutt! I bet she’ll see us having so much fun that she’ll wanna join in. I can already picture her padded rainbow bottom now.”
“In your dreams. Like I’ll ever be caught wearing something that-”
Dash stopped herself mid-sentence.
It might not be the best idea to finish that statement for the sake of Fluttershy’s feelings.
She recomposed herself and continued.
“We’ll see. Maybe I will give it a try. But for now, I’ll just join you two for lunch. That doesn’t sound too bad.”
Fluttershy smiled.
“Thank you for being so understanding Dashie. You’ll see just how fun this kind of thing can be.”
“Indeed.” Discord agreed, “Now let’s get a move on. I’m starting to get hungry, and I’m sure you are too, Flutterpup.”
Fluttershy let out a soft but sharp bark.
“Good girl. Let’s go get you a treat.”
Rainbow Dash sighed. She could tell it was gonna be one of those days.
