A Seapony's Tale
Danger in Cutie Cove
Load Full StoryIn the magical land of Equestria, lived millions of ponies who pranced around, dragons who flew place to place and mythical creatures scattering around. In one of the houses, a tree, actually, was something unusual taking place.
Fluttershy speed trotted down the stairs, beads of sweat sliding down her face. Her pet bunny, Angel, grumbled, tapping his foot rapidly in frustration. He crossed his arms and turned his head, as the butter-yellow pegasus sighed.
"Angel, I am very sorry, b-but... I.... I just... Can't. I'm so sorry!" She apologized, her voice unsteady
Angel simply leaped out the window to find food for himself, as Shy closed the door behind herself, then flew off to Twilight's place.
After a good half hour fly, occasionally stopping at a few benches or saying a quick hello to old friends, she finally had reached her destination. Raising a hoof to knock the door, she fixed a soft smile on her face as the lavender alicorn's speedily swung open the door.
"Good afternoon, Fluttershy!" She greeted. Fluttershy backed up a bit for safety from the huge outburst.
"T-twi, it's only eight in the-"
"Come in! Sorry to keep you waiting! I'm just....anxious. I'm just so fascinated about all kinds of mythical creatures and you are suck a lucky pony! Their tradition, form, language-EVERYTHING!" Twilight yelled out, finding the shy filly cowering under the nearby table.
"Heh, sorry,"
Two hours passed, and 10:37 had reached. To be honest, they were both nervous. What if Twilight's water breathing spell malfunctioned or the water proof cameras stopped? Or if the undersea ponies were out for so.e kind of migration? Was there a migration? All these thoughts tensed up the two, as Twilight's assistants gathered in her room to watch the cameras, making sure their friend was okay.
"Dash, remember what happened last time ya assisted Twi?" The farm pony asked with her usual accent. Rainbow rolled her eyes.
"Hey, you can't hold responsibilities on me for too long. If there's one thing you need to remember, it's: If you don't want something done right, call 1-800-Rainbow Dash," she stated, Apple giving a short laugh.
Twilight trotted into the room with Pinkie, Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Rarity was on a business trip in Manhattan, who was extremely worried for her friend. Twilight assured her that everything would come out fine, then the depressed unicorn had walked out. That was yesterday. And today was a new day. The big day.
Fluttershy was taken to the deck, seaweed and the smell of fish getting to her. Looking back at her friends in the distance trotting home to check the cameras, Shy felt a bit homesick. Looking into the water, little splashes tingling on her fur, the ocean breeze flowing through her muzzle, she felt... Great. Putting a hoof in causiously, she felt a fish brush against it. Jolting back, she laughed at herself for being so sensitive.
She gulped once, then dipped the other foreleg in. It was s few minutes before taking it out, as she stood on all fours, her chest puffed out. On the inside, she was shivering, shaking, and sobbing on the inside. Reverse galloping, she stopped suddenly, then arched her back as if to pounce, then in almost an instant, the pegasus ran across the dock in shocking speed, a bright yellow blur taking her place. Seconds before skidding off the dock, she leapt into mid-air, creating an enormous splash in the sea.
She opened her eyes slowly, thinking she was staring into Celestia herself. A turquoise, wet underworld was what she was in. What she was experiencing. Seaponies swam by and schools of fish scattered about. The top of the water glistened like fine jewels and sun shone through them. She felt the soft wave of heaven seep between each strand of yellow fur on her body. She glanced around at a dolphin, barrel-rolling and chirping alongside another. Shy nearly broke into tears, which were unseen from the liquid atmosphere.
One seapony passed her quickly, then a burst of bubbles popped behind it. Fluttershy tried swimming up to it, but it was hard for a Pegasus so swim so fast. Soon giving up, the turned back, a white sealing with blue tinted forehooves knocked into her.
"Oh, pardon me... I wasn't looking..." She then noticed her lack of fishtail, then sighed.
"So... You're a... Pegasus..." She stated, as Fluttershy weakly smiled.
"Um, yes... F-from Ponyville..." Noticing her shyness, the seapony brightened up, swishing her tail.
"Hey, it's okay. Sorry if I came off rude. It's just that... I've never seen a pegasus down here before..." She said. Shy blushed and smiled.
"The name's Mythic Breeze, but just call me Myth. Yours?"
"M-my name's... Fluttershy... Nice to meet you... Myth."
Myth smiled, the two shaking forehooves. Suddenly, the brightness of the ocean top darkened, as Mythic grasped Shy's foreleg, and swam off into the distance. Three seaponies armoured in seashells and longbows made from coral and driftwood, were shot towards a threatening group of sharks.
Shy covered her eyes with her hooves and whimpered, tasting shark blood on her tongue. Myth put a hoof over her shoulder and Nuzzled her cheek. One arrow shifted direction by the tide, stabbing Fluttershy's back. She then fell unconscious, and closed her eyes.
"*cough* Ah, Myth.... I-" she stopped looking at her surroundings. A... A coral reef? A house? Shy asked herself, as Myth tossed another 'water bomb' down her throat. She coughed again, touching the arrow still between her wings. She winced, the pain coming back to her again. She moaned in pain, and lay on the coral
Below her.
"It's okay, it'll be all over soon. It's okay..." she whispered. Shy mumbled something inaudible, then turned to her side. Myth put both legs around the arrow, then twirled it around, as Shy cried out in pain coming back to reality. Though she felt as if her back was being screwed out. Myth yanked at the object, then in one heavy pull, it came out, dripping with blood. Shy screamed, a few fish stopping outside.
Twilight ran to the bathroom to toss her cookies as Rainbow and An fainted. Pinkie was the last mare standing, who-
