Fallout: Equestria - Showdown
To the town of Desolated Hills, I journeyed. Sweat soaking my yellow coat, and ruining my red mane. Hours on Hours of walking, dozens of bullets that have been fired, all lead up to this. A small town on the edge of What-The-Fuck-Im-Not-On-The-Mapville. My name is Fictitious Thoughts.... An NCR Ranger, posted in the middle of nowhere. Now, you may be wondering what im doing out here, and not on base at Camp Four Seven Niner... Or Starswirl for short. Dont ask me where that came from, cos I dont know. Now the reason im not on base is because, technically, im on liberty. And i just so happened to hear of a bounty living in this town. And as im in dire need of caps for reasons you dont need to know, i decided to track down the mark, and take him in.
And im talking to myself.... Great.
I looked down at the sign, "Welcome to Desolated Hills! Enjoy your stay!" Great, 18 Hour walk for a town of crap... Wunderbar. I soon lost my interest in the sign and looked over into the town itself, it wasnt really empty, few foals running in the streets, mothers and fathers lookin on. Merchants peddling their wares. And others just shooting the breeze. Despite all that, it was really quiet. I liked that quality of the town. It kept me from having headaches. It didnt take long for someone to spot me, and wo and behold, it was some stallion. He saw my revolver, a .44, with regular ammo and Hollowpoints, plus a couple AP bullets aswell... Fear was all to obvious in him... I just smiled at him, seemed to have calmed him a bit as he started trotting over to me..
I just noticed something.... He was handsome.... For an unkempt wastelander.
"H-Hello miss. Im the d-defacto leader of the town. I-Is there anything I can do you for?" He asked, stuttering his words. I giggle at it. It was cute.
"I hope you can, im looking for this stallion, Deadeye. Have you seen him?" I ask the nameless stallion, showing a wanted poster i had in my pack. He looked it over right quick before returning his stare at me. Any calm he had was replaced with fear again.
"You should leave miss. Its not safe for you here." He said.
"Oh yeah? Whys that?" I ask defensively. I honestly thought he was threatening me.
"Because, Deadeye is in the town. Some of the townsfolk is on his payroll, they see you, they will let him know. I..... Listen, he has killed 20 of your type. 21 will be you if you dont leave." He said. Surprising calm, despite the obvious fear he is giving away.
I looked over to see a mare looking at me, as if studying. She notices me watching, and starts towards a building I surmise to be the local watering hole. I decided to make a mental note about the building and looked back at the stallion. His brown eyes looking where i was looking, then back to me. Without saying a word, i start towards the bar. Winking at him before leaving him behind... I watched him from my peripheral. His face was red..
I entered the bar, and smell of cheap whiskey was really apparent. Ugh. I glanced around the room, and saw no one of particular interest, 'cept that mare. She was talking to some stallion by the bar.
"Guessing he is not in here, next building I guess..." I mutter to myself, that stallion is now looking at me. A smirk on his face. Scheiße.
"Hey! Ranger bitch. Outside. Now, im gonna have a little talk with you." He yelled over the sounds in the bar. Then, as if on queue. Everyone stopped talking, making noise, whatever, and looked in my direction, some frightened, some laughing. Guessing that dick is Deadeye? No idea. But i comply with him, and step outside with him, my magic ready to unholster my .44. He follows. So does a few bar patrons. Onlooking kriecht.
He doesnt even say a word to me, just glares. I return it. A good 15 Minutes pass as we glare at each other, then, out of nowhere.
"I challenge you to a dual, Ranger." What?
"What?"
"You heard me... Unless your scared..." Oh hell no... Its on now, fucker...
"Fine Deadeye, I accept. Your dead." He smiles. This is Deadeye, I confirm it.
We step into the road, foals disperse. Ponies entering their homes, the bar, whatever cover they can find... Good, I would rather not hit one of them. I ready my magic, and he puts his hoof on his holster, ready to sling his pistol into his mouth so he can fire. Celestia help me.... I might have been confident before, but now.... I know what fear feels like. Its the anxiety , you know? Knowing your probably gonna get shot.
"You can still leave, Ranger. With your life... Im feeling charitable today..." He said... He was forty feet away from me.
"NO chance, your bounty is mine!" I fire back. He grins.
"And 21, will be you. Bitch." He says.
Minutes pass as we stare at each other, ready. Waiting for one or the other to make the move... The move that will determine who lives and who dies... I see, out of the corner of my eye, that handsome stallion, watching from the bar windows... He is watching me... Then, i notice Deadeye moving his hoof.... Ah Hölle, he drawing! I use my magic and draw my magnum, his pistol is already aimed at me... I aimed mine at him as fast as I could... BANG

I watched as the bloody pooled from his chest. He looked surprised, as if he never thought he could lose, Hell, im even surprised. But only a little... But what was he thinking, I am a Ranger. His body slumped to the ground. The ponies of the town gather around him, some cheering, some mourning, some just staring.... I smile and walk over to them, I reached down and grabbed his eyepatch and pulled it off his stinking head, Celestia, Ist es stinken! Then, without saying a word. I turn and walk way, I have an 18 hour walk, might as well begin now. Ponies continue to gape at the ranger who killed Deadeye... I walk past the stallion, who says he leads the town, and wink at him. His face turns red. Then I begin my journey back, walking on the road, back to my home, back to base.
And all this time, they said Deadeye couldnt die... Well, I just proved every asshole who said that wrong.
