Chapter 2 - WHY ARE PONIES TALKING?!?!

Previous Chapter

After zipping through the forest, I land at what appears to be the ruins of an old castle. Glancing around, I check if any sort of predators are here. While I managed to take down that monstrosity earlier, I'm not a fan of murder. I only hope that whatever it was that attacked me is still alive. Dismissing the thought in favor of my current predicament, I stop at a hall and look back at my Gamer's Edition of OVERWATCH.

After the tedious process of carefully opening and examining its content, I was both surprised and disappointed. While the origins edition of the game and a statue of Soldier: 76 is cool, it isn't very helpful. Fortunately, I found the visual source book. It explained the game's lore, as well as background and info on all the characters and maps. After flipping through page after page, I noticed a character that was all too familiar. Delving further into the page, my suspicions were confirmed. I really am Tracer, or at least I look like her. It turns out that the glowing harness that I'm wearing is actually a chronal accelerator, designed to keep me anchored in time. According to the book, it also powers my guns, the 'blinks', and the 'rewind'.

"But it still doesn't explain what happened to me," I muttered.

I soon noticed that I haven't eaten in awhile, and the fight really exhausted me. Closing my eyes, I decided to take a nap and figure this all out in the morning. Hopefully, I thought.

On the edge of the Everfree Forest, far from the castle, a timid pegasus was feeding a small bunny. Her name is Fluttershy. She preferred the company of animals to other ponies, as her timid nature and love for wildlife prevented her from living amongst her kind. Suddenly a familiar manticore came bursting out of

After resting for what felt like days, woke up assaulted some cursed sun that was determined to end my slumber. I attempted to blink the light out of my eyes, but to no avail. I decided that I might as well get up, as sleeping will only solve most of my problems. I was interrupted by my stomach, growling in protest of my lack of food. I knew that I needed answers, but I need food more. Hiding all that I have to my name under a tarp, I turned around and headed toward what was hopefully food.

I soon found myself at the outskirts of the woods, just on the edge of an apple forest. Seeing a barn and a house in the distance, this had to be a farm. I glanced at an apple tree, thinking that it would be perfect to sate my hunger. Heading toward the tree, I stopped myself.

"This is wrong, I'm not a thief! I may be hungry, but my morals outweigh my hunger."

Deciding to take the righteous yet food depraved path, I knew that I still had to eat. Turning around, I noticed a sign just next to the corner of the farm.

Ponyville, 1 mile

Once I had finally arrived at this 'Ponyville', I wondered why it was called such a ridiculous name. Once I saw the residents of this quaint little town however, the name started to make sense, although my situation only grew in confusion. True to its name, the town square was filled with ponies, though they looked rather odd. Instead of what a horse what look like back on Earth, these creatures seemed to have more humanoid facial features, as well as bizarre colors for their mane and coats. Gaping at the absurdity of the scene in front of me, I decided that I have had enough.

"That's IT! I HAVE HAD IT WITH THE UNIVERSE!!! FIRST I CHANGE MY @#&%ING GENDER, AND NOW THERE ARE TALKING PONIES! WHY ARE PONIES TALKING?!?!

"I HAVE HAD IT!"

Screaming at the top of my lungs, I unknowingly drew the attention of everyone there. As a myriad of heads turned in my direction, I did the only sensible thing anyone would do: I marched angrily over toward what appeared to be a ginger house cafe, nearly rip the door of its hinges in opening it, and I order some hot coco.
